Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. Kiernan couldn't help but feel pleased when he got to see Zeke's reaction but first things first, he couldn't bring himself to have this conversation with others able to hear, it was just too embarrassing. So in a polite manner, he had pointed out Zeke's mother. Zeke had looked out the door to see that she was in fact out there, clearly as flustered as he felt if not more. His breathing was quick as he waited for Zeke's mother to excuse herself, once alone, he still felt uncomfortable having this conversation but he wanted Zeke to know he loved him too so he mustered up the courage to say so. He further apologized for kissing Zeke without permission. He felt Zeke reach out to take his other hand in his, his heart beating faster at the idea of finding out they both shared the same feelings and it wasn't a dream. He had requested for them to finish this conversation in private because he felt flustered, he noticed Zeke glancing out the door for a moment, he couldn't help but wonder if somebody else was nearby even though the scent wasn't fresh. He found himself surprised when Zeke had asked about going to his bedroom for that private conversation.
"Alright." He whispered, slowly he would step out of the shower to follow Zeke out of the bathroom and into his bedroom instead. Besides being in yet another spot where possible things could happen, he felt a tad bit more at ease on the idea of less likely being interrupted by others in the house. Memories came to his mind as he stepped into the bedroom, though he had been assisting Zeke recently with his ptsd, it had been a while since the conversation had been about them. He found himself nervous, though he got to remain close to Zeke, he reminded himself that it meant danger would be lurking at every corner. He had betrayed AP to save him, surely AP would search him out for revenge. He didn't want to drag Zeke or his family into this mess but he couldn't bring himself to tell him either. "So you love me?" He asked in a whisper, feeling so flustered at the idea of Zeke harboring such feelings for him. I thought I was the only one that felt this way. He thought to himself, not daring to say his thoughts out loud.
What happens now? I feel like I'm lying by not admitting my past but I know the day he finds out, he will surely have a panic attack. I can't do that to him, I can't be the reason for it to happen. Plus it is also a win for me because I don't want him to hate me, if I can help it. He thought to himself, worried about his happiness crashing down around them if Zeke were to find out his dirty little secret. Any day now, could be my last, I want it to count. He thought to himself, waiting to hear what Zeke would have to say on the subject. Seeing as he had left once, there was still a chance that a relationship wouldn't happen even after they confessed their feelings towards one another. He was somewhat curious on where that left them. On the one hand, he didn't want to get left again, on the other, safe Zeke. He found himself having conflicting thoughts on the matter even though it would only be a matter of time before things would be confirmed for him.
Flustered emotions swirled around Zeke's mind as he remained in close proximity to his magnificent Kiernan. Endless happiness mingled with extreme embarrassment, the dragon struggling to contain the intense tornado of feelings inside. Awkwardly, Zeke smiled at his beloved crush, easily flustered by revealing his emotions to the kitsune. Redness consumed the former general's face, his heart rapidly fluttering at thoughts of finally being romantically involved with Kiernan. The warmth between their gently held hands was pleasant, influencing immense joy.
[break][break]
Softly, Zeke squeezed the kitsune's fingers, lovingly staring into those brilliant silver eyes and slender facial features. Everything about Kiernan's beauty enthralled the ice dragon as he adored this wonderful moment. Together with mutual feelings, it was exactly what Zeke dreamed about for decades. While he would never verbally admit it to his parents or children, those intense feelings were sustained during the time he dated the mother of his children. Things were progressing as he hoped for years, however, there was still plenty to discuss.
[break][break]
The whispered agreement to host their private conversation in his bedroom made a small smile stretch across Zeke's mouth. Deep breathes were taken as he turned away from Kiernan but maintained a tight grip on his hand. The minor connection of their hands held together was comforting for Zeke as he took the kitsune briefly through the hallway and into the familiar, nostalgic atmosphere of his childhood bedroom. The same plain beige walls surrounded them, the furniture was the only difference for the pleasant bedroom.
[break][break]
The old furniture from his childhood needed replacing years ago, thus his parents accomplished what was necessary, however, they bought similar pieces and maintained the same decorum. The dark brown furniture was a pleasant contrast to the beige walls, something his parents adored. There was a small TV on one of the stands in the room, the fairly large bed existing from when he would occasionally visit with his girlfriend. Carefully, Zeke shut the door behind them, locking it to avoid interruptions while they spoke about feelings.
[break][break]
After the door was locked, Zeke led Kiernan to sit on the bed, however, he would allow his crush to stand should he desire it. The whispered inquiry sparked another fluster, red consuming the dragon's face immediately as he bashfully glanced away. An arm reached behind the former general as he scratched the back of his head, fluster transcending over him.
[break][break]
"Yes... very much," Zeke admitted.
[break][break]
Softly, the dragon squeezed the kitsune's hand for comfort. Slowly, his brown eyes spared a glance at Kiernan before shyly glancing away. Briefly, his breathing quickened as his heart slammed into his sternum, however, he managed to control his breathing, regulating the pace.
[break][break]
"An-anyways... I was thinking... maybe... we could call the parade our first date?" He asked quietly. "I... really like you Kier... and I really want you to be my boyfriend..."
[break][break]
While they freshly admitted their feelings for one another, Zeke craved the relationship he always dreamed of. The notion of dating him was a long-standing fantasy for the former general, thus he prayed it could transform into a reality. Inevitably, there would be plenty of talking between them, but Zeke wished to lay his desires on the table. He supposed he was rushing a tad, but his emotions for Kiernan were intense and genuinely. Years already passed with his craving to date Kiernan, and finally, he could potentially have that deep desire.
Kiernan squeezed back as he looked into Zeke's eyes. Captured by his beauty. He had whispered agreement in joining him in the bedroom. He followed behind Zeke as he was escorted from the bathroom into the hall before going into his bedroom. It hadn't been very often that he'd been in this bedroom, growing up had been more often then since the return of Zeke as was him being in there only for private conversation over their old reasons. It was still strange seeing the old childhood furniture being replaced. Though it had been old, it was still memories, of course as the time passed he knew Zeke needed new furniture so he didn't blame him for the stuff being replaced out for newer ones. He wouldn't lie, the first time being in this bedroom even though it was for a reason to comfort Zeke had caught him by surprise when he had first seen that big bed. It was easy for him to figure out that it was likely for his girl friend and Zeke but still, where had the smaller one went? Damn how time flew by since they were children. It made him somewhat jealous to have proof that somebody else had been snuggling his crush since Zeke had left him all that time ago. He heard the door being locked and he followed Zeke towards the bed, choosing to stand asking his question.
His heart started beating faster as he heard Zeke's words, watching as he scratched the back of his head. He found his cheeks becoming a bright pink as Zeke once more admitted his feelings towards him. He felt Zeke squeezing his hand again, he returned the favor as he looked back at Zeke. "I'd like that." He whispered, struggling to get the words to come out of his mouth. "You do?" He asked, knowing that this would likely becoming, it was a dream come true for him. Wait, am I dreaming? If I'm dreaming this is one fucked up dream. He thought to himself, silence seemed to come between them as his hand slowly rose from his side, hand going towards his other arm before pinching it. No, I'm very much awake. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. This is really happening? He thought to himself, breathing faster as his heart skipped a few beats. Slowly he found his heart rate increasing before suddenly something starting dripping from his nose. The sudden wetness had started him. His hand that had been used to pinch his arm had moved as he was returning it to his side before halting to be raised to his nose to feel the wet liquid that had dripped from his nose, in process of retrieving his hand, he could feel more blood dripping from his nose and down his fingers. He glanced at his hand briefly before pressing it against his nose as to pinch it in his attempt to get it to stop.
What the hell is going on. I haven't had a nose bleed in years. He thought to himself, slowly starting to release Zeke's hand, thinking to add more pressure to his nose. Make it stop, dear god this is so embarrassing.... He thought to himself, wishing more than anything he could have tissue to clog his nose, having already titled his head slightly back to try and make it cease.
These precious moments spent staring up at Kiernan maintained a broad, loving smile on Zeke's lips. The warmth shared between their hands was absolute heaven, the dragon's heart beating rapidly in his chest, pounding hard against his sternum. Gently, he squeezed his crush's hand again, enjoying the sensation of having the kitsune's hand in his. Red coloured his cheeks and the bridge of his nose, fluster transcending over Zeke after confessing his deep feelings for Kiernan a second time. Containing those positive and exciting emotions was impossible for the dragon, reality becoming better than dreams.
[break][break]
Everything between them was extremely important to Zeke, the long-haired man standing in front of him being a significant person throughout his entire life. He was a pillar, maintaining stability and assisting the dragon when he found himself most vulnerable. The reciprocated squeeze caught the former general's attention, his brown eyes flitting down at their clasped together hands. Happiness embraced him tightly, a broad smile tracing his lips as he slowly moved his gaze back to Kiernan's handsome, slender face.
[break][break]
The rapid beating inside his chest was pleasant, the dragon enjoying every second of their closeness, although, a portion of him desired to snuggle his crush. There were prayers that Kiernan fancied the notion of pursuing this romantic relationship. It was everything Zeke could ever desire, a fantasized future playing through his mind and making his heart melt. Long walks where their fingers intertwined, days filled with endless snuggling and those bashful flirtatious conversations where they enjoyed one another's companionship.
[break][break]
Intense joy entered Zeke the moment Kiernan stated he approved of the date idea. Regulating his breathing became difficult for a moment, excitement and anxieties ruling his respiratory system as he stared at the brilliant man standing in front of him. Blood pumped hastily through his veins as his heart fluttered blissfully. Enthusiastically, Zeke nodded at the small question Kiernan asked him. Hesitation was nonexistent, the dragon knowing what his heart desired; he had decades to ponder his deep emotions towards the kitsune.
[break][break]
Flustered emotions soon transitioned to a raising brow when Kiernan lifted a hand and brought it to his arm. With evident confusion, Zeke witnessed as the kitsune's thumb and forefinger pinched a portion of flesh. Eyes widened when he realized the dark-haired man thought this could potentially be a dream. The pinch itself inspired a subtle sensation of pain in Zeke's own arm, phantom and hardly noticeable. Briefly, the former general's eyes flitted to his own arm before glancing back up at Kiernan, carefully watching to gauge his reaction.
[break][break]
Eyes widened when he noticed a drop of red fall from Kiernan's nose. A minor affliction, but nonetheless, Zeke's worrisome attitude kicked into overdrive as the kitsune held his nose. Blood dripped between the man's fingers, dribbling down his neck. Fortunately, the red liquid was not among Zeke's triggers, the former general thanking the gods quickly before moving to assist Kiernan.
[break][break]
"H-hold still!" Zeke spurted out hastily.
[break][break]
Quickly, the dragon stood from the bed, maintaining a tight grip around the kitsune's hand. He towards a small, light blue box filled with kleenexes, carefully plucking a few pieces of white, absorbent tissues. They were passed to Kiernan to assist with the bleeding problem. Afterwards, he turned to head to the doorway with slow steps, lightly tugging his beloved crush's hand with plans to return to the restroom. The bedroom door was unlocked in a single fluent motion, the dragon promptly exiting the room. He knew once the nose bleed ceased, cleaning the blood would be the next step.
Kiernan held his nose with the one hand, but the nose bleed continued and he attempted to release Zeke's hand for the sake of putting more pressure on his nose, already tilted his head back to get it to cease. He heard Zeke's words and next thing he knew, he was being pulled in a direction, unsure of where because it was difficult to watch him while he was forced to look up at the ceiling. He felt something soft in his hand, most likely tissues, or so he was assuming. He released his nose to grab the tissues before pressing them against his nose. When Zeke turned to the doorway, he found himself following after him. The bedroom door was unlocked, he found himself staring at the ceiling as he attempted to get his nose to stop bleeding. Zeke pulled him down the hall and back into the bathroom, he followed at a slow pace, being reminded of their child hood when he one time had a nose bleed and instead of going out the door to the bathroom, he had on accident walked into the wall before falling back on his ass.
At the time, getting up was too much effort despite his nose still bleeding so he would remain on his back for a few minutes after lying about his well being. Always having mixed feelings on Zeke calling out his lies. He was pulled from his thoughts, moving towards the counter as he adjusted the tissue so that it would catch the unnecessary blood that was still escaping from his nose. Aww damn it, I still didn't get to make a comment back to him about the relationship. He thought to himself, despite being in possible ear shot, he would ask, "Are you sure you want to date a dork like me?" If it wasn't the fact he happened to have bad timing for a nose bleed, it would be how easily Zeke made him flustered, or his personality in general when around his darling friend.
His nose continued bleeding and he sighed, wishing it would stop as he remained close to Zeke. In their past, he could recall the amount of times Zeke spent helping him with this damn nose bleeding problem and here he was, doing it again. He couldn't have asked for a better friend, or boy friend for that matter. God I love him so much. He though to himself, choosing to keep those thoughts to himself at the moment. "Also that vacation could be a date too?" He asked, whispering it as he felt nervous that Zeke might not be interested in it being counted as a date. It would be fun, he wasn't familiar with date ideas, so he would just follow Zeke's opinion on good date plans. His tissues went red, already needing replacing because of the damn nose bleed and he had yet to clean off his hand from getting blood on it earlier. Or his shirt that he'd soon figure out how blood on it.
Nose bleeds were an occurrence Zeke was familiar with, especially since Kiernan was prone to them as a child and his children had the occasional one. Caution was taken when the dragon guided his friend through the household. Memories of Kiernan accidentally walking into a wall and tumbling to the ground flashed through his mind. There was a mess from the blood, his friend staring at the wall because he managed to walk into the wall. This time, that situation would be avoided as Zeke led him through the threshold and into the washroom without incident.
[break][break]
The former general stationed his beloved crush in front of the counter before quickly grabbing an old cloth. Bloodstains would be acceptable on the piece of fabric, thus Zeke considered it best suited for the current situation. He returned to his friend's side, listening to his inquiry. A soft smile touched the dragon's face as he slowly adjusted Kiernan's head to lean forward to assist with clotting and avoid choaking from blood sliding down the throat; he researched when he had children. Carefully, Zeke turned on the sink and soaked the cloth.
[break][break]
"Lean forward, things clot better," he explained before smiling brightly at Kier. "As for your question... I would gladly date the most incredible, handsome dork in the world if he was you."
[break][break]
The smile on Zeke's face broadened while subtle hints of red painted his cheeks. Rapidly, his heart fluttered as expected for the fluster-inducing situation he was placed into. Once the cloth was thoroughly soaked, he slowly reaches to clean the blood from his beloved's neck. The motions were natural because of how frequently he would assist Kiernan with nose bleeds. These automatic responses were impossible to resist. Decades neglected impulse resurfaced to help the wonderful long-haired man with his nose bleed.
[break][break]
Gradually, the kleenex was soaked through with blood, Zeke frowning upon seeing it. Quickly, the dragon grabbed the toilet paper, tearing off a large piece and handing it to Kiernan. Ceasing the torrent of blood was an important objective, thus Zeke fixated on the goal while he assisted in cleaning his best friend. Blood was evident on his crush's hands, the former general assuming it was from when the bleeding initially began. The observations allowed Zeke to thoroughly witness the amount of blood on Kiernan's shirt.
[break][break]
"Oh shoot... Kier, your shirt," he pointed out quietly. A brief pause ensued afterwards until Zeke spoke. "Want to maybe borrow one of mine?"
[break][break]
The offer heralded the return of embarrassed shades of red, Zeke praying his crush would be pleased with borrowing one of his shirts. Delaying their plans for the parade any longer would be a horrendous idea, thus the dragon considered the offer a quick solution. Then in the meantime, Kiernan's bloody shirt could be thrown into the laundry his mother was doing. At least then, Kiernan would be clean for the parade. [break][break]
"You're amazing, Kier... Don't ever think I don't want to be with you," he said softly. "I wouldn't have asked you if I wasn't certain. I... I love you a lot and I want to be with you... I want to date you... So... what do you say?"
[break][break]
He desired to hear the confirmation escape Kiernan's gorgeous lips, even if provided hints of the answer that indicated 'yes'. Everything about the kitsune was adorably attractive, particularly his sweet, easily flustered personality which made him smile brightly. Witnessing red coat Kiernan's cheeks always improved Zeke's day. The dragon continued washing the mess from his crush's neck until he was properly cleaned.
Kiernan leaned forward as Zeke instructed, finding it somewhat amusing that it felt like it wasn't so long ago that he had last assisted with his troubled nose bleeds. Though he thought he had grown out of them, he was proven wrong as of this last time. He blushed when Zeke answered his question, finding his heart beating faster at the idea of being around Zeke much more often. "Really?" He whispered, finding himself in trance by Zeke. He shivered as the wet cloth had tabbed on his neck, forcing himself to remain still. Hearing Zeke's words had caught him by surprise, he found himself tugging at the rim as in process of removing his shirt to scrub it clean in the sink before pausing to hear Zeke's question. "Borrow one of yours?" He asked, repeating the question as his cheeks flushed pink. "I'd love to." He whispered, though he had forgotten how he had lifted his shirt up, unaware that his stomach was able to be noticed right at the moment.
Of course once he was out of his trance, he remembered and lowered it quickly, side glancing as his cheeks remained flustered. His heart was beating rapidly unable to contain his excitement. "I love you too and want to be your boy friend." He answered, looking back towards Zeke, still so flustered. Though he was offered a shirt, he still felt a great need in trying to clean his shirt off so that Zeke's mother wouldn't have to make such an effort. "Will you go bring me one?" He whispered, curious one which one Zeke would pick for him as well as giving him a chance to slip out of his shirt to try and scrub it clean still. Assuming Zeke left, he would most likely walk back in to see him shirtless with the stain under the sink with a little bit of soap smeared on the spot as his hand has soap on it because he clearly had been attempting to clean it off.
A soft sigh of relief breathed through Zeke's lips when Kiernan leaned forward as instructed. Choking concerns had filled the former general's mind, thus he was pleased to discover he was willing to listen. A small smile stretched across the dragon's face despite the situation. Gently, the short-haired man placed a hand on the kitsune's back, patting him to create a comfortable atmosphere. He fretted about Kiernan and his children frequently which resulted in these instinctive actions to bad occurrences.
[break][break]
Inside his chest cavity, the dragon's heart proceeded to thump wildly, blood flowing quickly through his veins as he elaborated on his feelings a tad. Never did he believe the day would arrive where he confessed about his long-term crush and it proceeded with excellence. Pink-tinted cheeks and a giddy smile stretched across his face, it was obvious Zeke was happy, albeit, flustered because of the situation. Carefully, the former general washed away the remaining blood visible above the shirt's collar.
[break][break]
The one-worded whispered question prompted Zeke's smile to soften into an enchanted loving one. Slowly, the dragon nodded his answer, adjusting his location in hopes of staring into Kiernan's magnificent silver eyes. In Zeke's opinion, the long-haired man's eyes held a winsome sparkle. Others may disagree, but the former general found his crush to be absolutely stunning inside and out. Nobody could persuade him otherwise. The love he harboured for Kiernan reached no limits, especially considered they existed for centuries.
[break][break]
Part of him wished he avoided being a foolish teenager who was fearful about those notions of first relationships always going wrong. If there was another way he could have had Emily and Lucas, Zeke would have wished he stayed in Lorsette or took Kier with him to BC. He witnessed Kiernan adjust his shirt to perhaps take it off, the former general's blush increasing until the action ceased and the question about borrowing was repeated. However, redness returned quickly when Kiernan stated he would love to borrow one of his shirts.
[break][break]
Before Zeke could speak further, he managed to notice the long-haired man's slender stomach beneath the shirt. Blood pooled in the former general's cheeks, turning his face a bright red. Hastily, he glanced away, awkwardly avoiding eye contact until the shirt was lowered. He refused to witness more than Kiernan desired him to at this moment, they had not even agreed to date after all. When the shirt was lowered, a flustered Zeke slowly gazed at his crush, a bashful smile appearing on his countenance the moment he noticed the blush.
[break][break]
Excitement shot through Zeke's veins as his breathing quickened and his smile broadened. The answer to his boyfriend question was answered with an agreement and mutually stated feelings. The dragon narrowly resisting hugging Kiernan immediately afterwards; resistance only existed because of the blood on his shirt. To please his desires, Zeke wrapped an arm around his new boyfriend's shoulders and gave a tight squeeze from the side.
[break][break]
"I... I'm so happy!" He exclaimed louder than intended.
[break][break]
Blush coloured the former general's cheeks as he weakened his squeeze to keep Kiernan comfortable. The request to fetch his boyfriend a shirt, Zeke nodded enthusiastically over accomplishing something simple to help Kiernan. Slowly, he released, accomplishing a final glance over before leaving the washroom. The door was closed behind the dragon before he headed to his room. Quick steps brought the former general to his bedroom where he would pull open the shirt drawer with an expression of contemplation.
[break][break]
The dragon took his time picking a suitable shirt for Kiernan, eventually settling on a dark-grey v-neck with darker shaded short-sleeves and pocket on the right side. With the fresh and folded shirt, Zeke returned to the restroom smiling. Slowly, he approached the door, prepared to show his precious Kiernan the shirt he picked. The knob was turned, the door carefully pushed open to reveal his shirtless boyfriend attempting to wash his shirt beneath the bathroom sink. Red hastily consumed Zeke's face, covering his cheeks, the bridge of his nose and even a portion of his forehead.
[break][break]
The former general was speechless as he gazed at Kiernan's handsome and slender chest. It appeared what he attempted to avoid viewing to respect his boyfriend's privacy was now on complete display... Fluster was obvious on Zeke's face from both the redness and his wide-eyed expression from shock. The stunning situation was enough to keep the dragon motionless as he bashfully stood in the restroom's threshold.
Kiernan couldn't help but feel extremely flustered, not only was his heat beating rapidly but he felt embarrassed over having a nose bleed in the middle of gaining the relationship he had always wanted. He held still while Zeke helped clean the blood off. He started the process of tugging the bottom of his shirt to lift it up, surprised to see Zeke's blush increase, ceasing the action when the question about borrowing a shirt was brought up. Zeke had looked away, he lowered his shirt, more embarrassed that Zeke had caught him. He hadn't meant to show himself off, he just wanted to clean the blood off of his shirt. He lowered his shirt back down and Zeke had looked back towards him, witnessing his blush. He agreed to be Zeke's boy friend, holding no regrets despite knowing the danger behind the risks of being together. He wasn't sure if Zeke would still be in danger or not but it wouldn't surprise him, but he knew for the fact that since he had betrayed AP, anybody nearby him would be in danger. AP loved having control, they would use any and everybody as hostage to remain in control. He melted when Zeke had slipped an arm around his figure, hugging him.
"I'm happy too." He whispered, feeling his heart beating faster as he remained flustered. He had requested Zeke bringing him a shirt, excited on what would be picked for him. He watched as Zeke had left the bathroom before closing the door behind him. A few seconds later he found himself tugging on the bottom of his shirt, thinking he'd have time to clean the blood on and put the wet shirt back on before Zeke would return with the shirt, but the blood was more difficult to clean than he had thought and he found himself scrubbing at it. The bathroom door had suddenly opened back up, he glanced over to see that Zeke had returned to him. The shirt was in his hand but the most noticeable feature was the fact that Zeke was staring right at him appearing extremely flustered. Wha.......... He thought to himself before suddenly picking the shirt up to try and hide himself with it. Of course with the shirt being wet, it meant smearing some extra soupy water on his chest, completely worth it for the sake of hiding from Zeke.
He'd then side glance as he become somewhat worried about Zeke's possible thoughts of seeing him already. "I.... wanted to clean it." He mumbled, struggling to get the words out of his mouth. It had after all been his fault for the blood being all over his shirt in the first place. His heart continued beating rapidly as he felt extremely flustered.
Redness consumed Zeke's face the longer he stood in the threshold, observing his new boyfriend. Shirtless, slender and undoubtedly beautiful in the looks department, however, the dragon desired to provide Kiernan with some privacy. He lectured himself about knocking first but was finding it difficult to move from the door, let alone, close the threshold. Nostalgia washed over him similar to a wave, reminding him of when he was a child and his mother would quickly wash mud from their skin through a shared bath.
[break][break]
The graceful thinness of Kiernan's body remained despite those years of puberty and growth. Taller, but those slender features still existed on the kitsune. The scene was taken in, Zeke lifting a brow when he noticed where Kiernan's shirt was. The fabric was soaked, soapy water covering the shirt. The dragon paused as he realized the dark-haired man was attempting to wash the blood from the fabric. When the shirt suddenly moved and was pressed against Kiernan's chest while his boyfriend spoke, Zeke's flustered increased as red consumed his face, conquering his fair complexion.
[break][break]
"O-oh! S-sorry! I should have knocked," Zeke blurted out hastily.
[break][break]
Swiftly, Zeke set the clean shirt onto the counter before stepping back and closing the door. A loud echo flew through the house, the dragon using plenty of force to close the door in his hurry to respect Kiernan. Once the threshold was closed, a groan escaped Zeke's lip as he rubbed his face with his hands. Remnants of fluster pooled in his cheeks, shades of embarrassed red coating his face and refusing to leave. The former general who conquered the battlefield for years and once familiar with the protocols of relationship stupidly opened the door without knocking.
[break][break]
Furthermore, after realizing Kiernan was shirtless, he dumbly decided to stare instead of closing the door. Privacy was invaded in a matter of seconds because of his lack of forethought. Currently, his efforts to be a marvelous boyfriend were insufficient considering the ridiculous action he accomplished. An annoyed sigh escaped Zeke's mouth as he backed away from the door to lean against the hallway wall. The chastising continued, the dragon was aware he should have known better than to open the bathroom door without knocking.
[break][break]
While his mother could easily clean the shirt with the loads of laundry she was doing, Zeke found the situation too fluster-inducing to state anything on the topic. Concerns manifested quickly as the dragon stayed in the hallway. Was his foolish decision going to prematurely end the relationship he longed for? Decades were spent adoring Kiernan, only for him to stupidly open a restroom door without knocking mere minutes into their relationship. He was praying his boyfriend knew it was genuinely an accident, but Zeke feared for the worst.
[break][break]
His love for Kiernan was powerful, even in those high school days where he would quietly observe his crush reading books or request partnership on group projects. They were a team throughout high school, most of their classmates aware of how they oftentimes picked one another. Now they planned on being teammates throughout life, lovers working together to live happily. The dragon prayed their life-long partnership would not end this day because of his moment of stupidity, but only the gods and Kiernan knew that answer.
Kiernan couldn't help but feel his embarrassment increase the longer that Zeke was in the threshold staring at him. It wasn't the fact he had caught him shirtless but the fact that he was worried that he wouldn't like his appearance. From when they were children, to now, he honestly hadn't changed by much, still being that of a toothpick. He had attempted to hide himself behind the wet shirt, flustered as he was seen, not upset with Zeke. Seeing his flustered expression calmed him slightly as if he got a playful revenge, of course he felt slightly disappointed when he heard Zeke apologizing to him but before he could tell him it was okay, Zeke had placed the clean shirt on the counter before leaving the bathroom. A small sigh had left his lips as he stared at the now closed door that had been slammed closed only a few moments prior. He glanced at the mirror to see his cheeks were still flustered from embarrassment, slowly he tried calming his breathing, upset at himself for allowing Zeke to run away like that. He moved towards the bathroom door, opening it, "Zeke?" He'd call out before peeking outside to look down the hall, first noticing Zeke's mother that had conveniently walked back down the hall, they saw each other and he couldn't help but feel more flustered, suddenly reaching the shirt out the door to hand it to her.
"Will you wash this for me please? I had a nose bleed." He admitted, hoping for the best as he released the shirt, hoping she'd grab it instead of allowing it to fall on the floor before fleeing inside the bathroom. His breathing resumed faster as he tried calming himself from embarrassment, failing to have looked the other direction to see that Zeke was in the hallway as well, to see him being caught by his mother, shirtless. I really should put this shirt on before anybody else gets a chance to peek at me. He thought to himself, reaching out to put the fresh shirt on, pausing briefly, unable to help himself because it smelled like Zeke. He'd pull away, slowly slipping the shirt on himself. Compared to Zeke, he really was a toothpick with how the shirt fit loosely around his form. It was fine, he enjoyed wearing his shirt, was half tempted to not give it back just because it was Zeke's, but that would be a debate he planned on having till the end of the parade. Was he upset with what he saw? He thought to himself, worried that had bee the case, worried that Zeke wouldn't love him anymore because he hadn't been what he had expected. He found himself staring in the mirror, half tempted to not leave the bathroom.
Endless concerns bustled through Zeke's mind as he leaned against the hallway wall, chastising himself for the ridiculous action he accomplished mere moments prior. His heart thumped hard against his sternum from the nervousness manifested from his stupid decision. Anxieties about becoming unlikable to Kiernan after rudely opening the door without knocking entered his mind. His love for the attractive kitsune was never ending. Throughout the days where he struggled mentally, Kiernan was a smiling face of support who reminded him everything would be alright.

Trepidation resulted in Zeke wringing his hands while his breathing grew rapid. Upon noticing his accelerated breathing, the dragon fixated his thoughts on calming himself. In... out... in... out... everything will be okay. Admittedly, Zeke felt panicked by the actions he accomplished. The relationship he strived to procure was officially at risk of ending because of his invasion of Kiernan's privacy. Self-conscious thoughts and nervous concerns fed these ideas of potentially losing the long-haired man he adored.
[break][break]
Vulnerability spoke volumes about Zeke since those self-conscious notions and worrisome thoughts fed from its waters and gained strength. Meanwhile, the individual was left nervously awaiting the words of their peers. A sorrowful sigh escaped Zeke lips as he pressed his back flat against the hallway wall. Stupid decisions were being made by a man once prized for his tactful thinking in difficult situations. The soft footsteps of his mother passing through were evident, however, Zeke's attention was stolen when he heard his name.
[break][break]
The dragon's brown eyes locked onto Kiernan, nervousness ravaging him the longer he stared at the wonderful individual. Unfortunately, the kitsune's shyness resulted in him merely passing the blooded shirt off when his mother passed back. A slightly raised brow came to Fiona's face as she took the shirt, nodding before heading back downstairs to the laundry room. The door closed again, a frown stretching onto Zeke's face. Time passed slowly as the former general nervously awaited judgement and execution from Kiernan, but minutes were passing and nobody exited the washroom.
[break][break]
Briefly, Zeke's eyes flitted towards the restroom door before returning to his wringing hands. A soft sigh escaped the ice dragon's mouth as thoughts of possibly being broken up with entered his mind. At a turtle's pace, he approached the door before softly rapping on the door.
[break][break]
"Um... Kier?" Zeke inquired softly. "... Are... are you upset with me? ... Cause I'm really sorry... I didn't mean to..."
[break][break]
Heartbeats were a nervous flutter, Zeke's stomach feeling empty because of his anxieties. He felt ashamed of opening the door without knocking, thus the dragon lingered outside the door. He was uncertain about how to tackle the situation because of his deep-seated fears of Kiernan permanent leaving his life. The notion nearly brought tears to the sensitive man's eyes, but anybody could notice the anxious shake to his breath. Losing the kitsune in any manner was horrifying to the former general because of the intense emotions he harboured for Kiernan.
[break][break]
Beyond that door was an anchor, somebody who brought forth security and calmness. A magnificent man was willing to support him despite his mental instability. However, now he could potentially lose the amazing individual who assisted in his mental situation.
Kiernan hadn't noticed Zeke on the other side of him, having been flustered when he had opened the door to see Zeke's mother standing nearby. He closed the door, embarrassed that he hadn't seen Zeke. He couldn't help but feel worried that Zeke was disappointed with what he had seen, but shortly after putting the Zeke's shirt on, he couldn't help but feel too nervous to head out of the bathroom to go look for Zeke. He could hear footsteps from outside the door, somewhat focusing as he panicked over Zeke's reaction only moments earlier. A knock could be heard before he heard Zeke speaking on the other side. He was confused when Zeke asked if he was upset with him, even going as far as to apologize. He slowly moved towards the door, grabbing the handle he would take in a small breath before opening it to see that Zeke was still standing there. Suddenly, without permission for the sake of not losing him for a second time today, his arms would reach out to attempt to wrap around Zeke as means to pull him inside of the bathroom before closing the door behind them.
"I'm not upset with you." He whispers, breathing faster from embarrassment, "So you don't need to apologize." He answered, more whispers. "I... I thought you didn't like what you saw when you left...." He continues whispering, still somewhat worried that Zeke wasn't pleased with how thin he was in comparison. I've always been a toothpick, even as an adult I can't seem to become buff as you have become. He thought to himself, feeling shamed at the thought of disappointing Zeke. He wanted to remain with Zeke but if there had been a mistake in choosing him as a boyfriend, he'd understand and let him go. I need to remind myself I'm dangerous to be around. I don't want to risk him or his family even though damn it, I feel selfish and want to remain nearby him. He thought to himself, struggling to remain calm. What do I do now? Should I allow him to leave? I mean I'm more trouble then I'm worth. He thought, allowing these self conscious thoughts to enter into his mind. He felt like crap, not only did he make Zeke feel like he had to apologize for doing something wrong but he wasn't able to quickly please him just like that.
This day was certainly proving rather unexpectedly. First he managed to kiss Zeke, enjoyed it the whole time, then confessed feelings only to get a nose bleed, to get in a relationship, only for Zeke to see him and be possibly disappointed. I mean why else would he be asking if I'm upset and apologizing for something? I mean you ran out.... that is all you did.... I'll get over it. He thought to himself, still allowing those thoughts to wander in his mind.
Respect for privacy was crucial for any relationship, especially during the mere starting of one. Privacy was violated mere minutes after their agreement to start dating, thus, an ill feeling settled in Zeke's stomach. Trust was a crucial foundation for any relationship, but without respect, it could never form. Fears about losing Kiernan permanently manifested heart palpitations of the worse type. Each second without a reaction voiced from his boyfriend allowed Zeke to listen to the blood pounding in his ears.
[break][break]
Eyes were locked with the tiled floor of the hallway as shame suffocated the former general. Only when the soft clicks of turning gears reached his ears. Slowly, Zeke's gaze lifted from the floor as the washroom door cracked open. There, through the open door, he managed to see Kiernan. The magnificent beauty of his dark hair and slender frame hidden beneath a loose-fitting shirt. The dragon stared at his soulmate for a few moments until the kitsune abruptly reached for him, a pair of arms wrapping tightly around him.
[break][break]
The short-haired man's eyes widened when Kiernan pulled him into a hug. Hastily, his heart began pounding in his chest at the sudden embrace from his boyfriend. Slowly, Zeke returned the embrace but was once again surprised to find Kiernan was tugging him into the washroom. Without struggle, the former general followed his boyfriend into the restroom, the soft click of the door shutting arriving once they entered.
[break][break]
Concerns were alleviated with quietly spoken words; Kiernan was not upset with the accidental privacy invasion. Unfortunately, those worries were aimed towards the possibility of Zeke finding the long-haired man's appearance unattractive. A frown immediately drooped onto the dragon's lips as he tightened his embrace. Softly, Zeke began rubbing Kiernan's back before pulling away caressing his cheek affectionately.
[break][break]
"Don't you ever think that," he explained before a reassuring smile arrived on his face. "I love you, Kiernan. You're beautiful and... super sweet... kind... fun... j-just great to be around."
[break][break]
There was a hint of shyness to Zeke's nervous grin as he glanced over Kiernan. Everything about his long-haired boyfriend was wonderful in the dragon's eyes. Carefully, the former general leaned in to kiss the black-haired man's forehead before smiling at him again. [break][break]
"You're wonderful, Kiernan. You're so supportive... Believe me when I say I love everything about you," Zeke explained further.
[break][break]
Afterwards, Zeke pulled his boyfriend back into a tight embrace in an attempt to provide a tight, reassuring squeeze. Undoubtedly, the dragon adored Kiernan for both his personality and gorgeous appearance, and even if those looks withered away, he would continue loving him. If he succeeded to hug Kiernan, the former general would slowly sway to manifest feelings of calmness between himself and Kiernan. He adored the kitsune for everything he assisted him with, however, the man he loved was somebody he cared deeply about.
[break][break]
The benevolence, the sweetness, the supportiveness, the beauty, everything about Kiernan was absolute perfection in the dark-haired man's eyes. This was the man he loved immensely.
Kiernan had heard Zeke outside the door so he had slowly reached out to open the door before opening it to see him standing outside of the door. He reached out to try and wrap his arms around Zeke, pleased when he felt his arms wrapped around him in return before pulling him into the bathroom. As soon as the bathroom door was closed, he spoke up. He was worried that Zeke wasn't pleased with what he saw, making the comment so that Zeke would know his feelings on the subject when he had chosen to flee from the bathroom earlier. He felt Zeke's hand rubbing his back before caressing his cheek, he melted to the touch. He listened to his words, very soothing as he was comforted. "I love you too." He whispered, enjoying Zeke's touch. Zeke leaned forward, kissing his forehead. Slowly his eyes closed briefly as he enjoyed it.
It was difficult to believe anything when Zeke had always been so caring for him, he knew his words to be true, even if he wasn't always honest with him, himself. Of course half truths or dodging the truth would keep him safe, with any luck, Zeke wouldn't detect a lie, since he never got away with those as children. Zeke pulled him into a tight embrace, slowly he wrapped his arms around him, returning the tight squeeze. Swaying with Zeke as the embrace continued between them, being rather peaceful. He breathed slowly as he grew accustom to this, unfamiliar with being in a relationship despite craving it for years. A few minutes passed by and he was reminded that they were going to the parade today and he still had to make reservations for their plans afterwards. "Want to help me set up that reservation?" He whispered, somewhat in a teasing tone.
