appearance Vanya is tall for a woman, standing at 5’ 10’’, and weighs in at 160 pounds of muscle. She has long, black hair that she often wears in a ponytail or messy bun, with straight bangs that rest at her brow. Her skin is fair in complexion, but often slightly tanned by her working in the sun. A pair of pointed black canine ears point straight up from her head, mirrored by horns that curl from the back of her skull towards her chin. Van’s eyes are a deep red,fully showing herself for the hellhound that she is. Despite her large frame, Vanya moves with the kind of grace that comes from confidence and detailed body control. Her gaze and emotional state is often neutral, generally making her frustrating to read. personality
abilities Gifted: STRENGTH: Intermediate. Due to Vanya's race, she is naturally supernaturally strong even in her human form. She can easily move heavy objects outside the norm (tree trunks over her shoulder, pushing cars, etc), and her stamina related to using her strength allows her to easily do hard physical labor day in and day out. This is not tied to any ability, and is simply a part of who Vanya is naturally. HELLHOUND SHIFT: -control: Weak. Vanya loses control of her human form in moments of severe injury and anger while in human form. Due to this, Van tries to keep herself in non-stressful situations, and avoids fighting and crowds. While in her hellhound form, she is nothing but a destroying, killing machine. She is not able to understand spoken word or heed it, and the only way to stop her is to knock her out, physically restrain her, or force change her back. -strength: Intermediate. If Vanya's strength in human form is impressive, her power as a hell hound is terrifying. She is not able to take down structures such as buildings, but they will bear claw marks and broken walls from her moving through. Freestanding objects such as cars can easily be crushed in her warpath, and creatures and people rend in two. MISC: Unlike other hell born, Vanya is not sufficient or easily able to use hexes and other magic. Her attempts usually end with something accidentally on fire, or summoning a worm rather than a duck. She does not rely on these powers at all, as the energy expended and the results being more trouble than they're worth. While she is in hound form, she also has the natural ability of enhanced speed, allowing her to cross large distances in times that are not possible for normal dogs. backstory Vanya was born to two proud hell hound parents who had a son years before her. The Seris family is very dedicated to the past, and firm believers in standing on the side of Hell in every interaction. Van's parents were extremists, and taught her from a young age how to fight and survive. Luka, Van's older brother, often used his superiority in hexes and blood magic to lord over her as the "better" child. Despite her upbringing, Vanya knew herself and knew that a life of extremism wasn't what she wanted. She realized at a young age that her hellhound form was uncontrollable, and that any kind of conflict would not end well. Van distanced herself from her family in her early 20s, and sought out a peaceful life of travel and work.
