Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!

[attr=class, punkihomebulk] Sunlight kissed the forests that dappled the Coastal outskirts. Large and wondrous Grandfather Oak trees towered so high that they dared touch the clouds of white way up beyond, making all else along the forest floors seeming so small in comparison to their presence. It was quiet.... desolate, even, with even the sound of birds distant and far in between. It was said that the coastal forests, the deeper one traveled, held many secrets in the privacy of its enclosure. Such regions were considered bordering an uncertain territory of being off the grid... no reliance available in regards to the TRS. The Starlight Beach was a fairly large expanse that attracted Tourists and was considered of public activity, but the forests themselves, if one wasn't careful they would wander into a beautiful but uncertain realm.[break][break]
Alfonse's family had relocated to the Coastal forests for this very reason. The forests served as an unassuming, tranquil, protective sheet of scenery to live under-cover in.... away from the common lives of the public eye. In the particular situation of the Sinclairés, it was safest to not be easily traced due to the nature of their ambitions, and it was easiest for his father to take whatever action necessary without the hindrance of abiding by TRS laws. The young boy knew little of what either of his parents were truly involved with regarding their alliance vendettas... but he knew that his father was strong, and had once more been summoned away to protect friends from afar. A few days passed since then and his mother stayed home this time, surrounded by a few of their household servants and guards.[break][break]
After breakfast, he and his mother had gone into the back property of their new residence. The back corridors were grand but visibly aged, with cracks in the stepping stones and differentiating flowers and vines having overtaken some of the landscaping and exterior. The sun-kissed forests wrapped around the strikingly tall brick walls, invitingly luring his curiosity and imaginative mind. His mother walked with him yesterday after he asked excitedly, and repeatedly, until she finally agreed to allow them a short stroll to satisfy some of his curiosity. His rounded, large eyes watched as the gentle breeze swept through the freshly trimmed gardens and blossom trees, fluttering stray petals, and watched as such winds swept them beyond the strong walls. Watching them reminded him of yesterday and the fun they had together, picking flowers together to decorate their home with.[break][break]
Having found a comfortable seat on a picnic blanket laid out underneath one of the blossom trees, his mother gave a pat beside her while calling over to where Alfonse stood, having paused with two books in his grasp in a momentary distraction of the blissful, and rather pretty wind-wrestling of their gardens. "Alfonse, dear, come over here," She called out. One of his golden-tipped ears somewhat twitched at the sound of her voice and Alfonse turned his face to look in her direction. [break][break]
A smile brightened his gaze, speeding up to reach the picnic blanket and being pulled into a sitting position within his mother's embrace. A playful nuzzle against the soft fluff of his hair arose a small laugh from Alfonse as she teasingly but lovingly said, "Ohhh, I've caught you, silly little one!" Her arms gently squeezed him, the plush fur of his ears weaving through her curls as the boy laughed, before he gently pulled himself away from her arms. "Noooo...!" He laughed in a playful protest, sitting himself right next to her and pulling his knees underneath him.[break][break]
"Thank you for bringing our books. It's too lovely, and peaceful today to spend it inside," His mother warmly told him, smiling lovingly to Alfonse as the boy reciprocated a blissful smile of his own, gathering the books once more into his arms and giving his mother one of them. A common bonding activity between them was reading, even if in silence and with different books of their own. "It's really pretty here," Alfonse quietly, and softly agreed as his Aquamarine gaze once more wandered to the array of healthy, colorful blooms and shaded blossom trees that would turn into fruits when the proper season came along. A couple statues that had, too, suffered damage from lack of upkeeping stood along the pathways with a mysteriousness to them that captivated his ever so wondering mind about their new home. "There's a lot to clean up and do with it, but I'm happy you like it," His mother admitted with a softening gaze, "It eases my mind, knowing you feel that way...." [break][break]
The melancholy in her comment hadn't quite caught Alfonse's attention, as his mother always disguised her inner concerns beyond her own son's affairs away from him. "Are you happy here, too?" He did end up asking as he once more looked to her, somewhat tilting his head when seeing that his mother's focus had already seemed to shift to the words of her textbook. "Mama?" "Yes, of course I am. I'm happy, even more so, that I get to enjoy being outside with you," She answered with a slight laugh, a hand gently caressing through his soft locks, before once more grasping her book. Her gesture was met with a warmth to Alfonse's gaze, happy to hear that his mother liked where they lived now, too. There still was a lot he wanted to see, and things that he wanted to show his father from when he last went out on his short stroll with his mother the day before. "It'll be even more fun when dad gets back. Then, we can explore more and do all kinds of things!" He eagerly suggested, a slight bounce in place as the excitement of thinking about his father taking him out on adventures filled his small frame.[break][break]
"I'm sure we will. It'll happen in time, I promise. Right when your father is with us again," His mother told him with another smile, "For now, let's enjoy the flowers and trees right in front of us while reading, okay little one?" Another cool breeze gently waved over the branches shading them. Soft pink petals fell from above, scattered around them. Alfonse felt safe, and content being next to his mother, having no qualms against her request. He obediently nodded, lowering his gaze and opening his book to where he last placed in the bookmark.

Time had trickled away effortlessly in his seclusion with his mother. Had Alfonse not been wide-awake and well-fed after breakfast, he may have lulled away from how safe.... and comfortable he felt, sitting beside his mother, like they always had since he was a small child. The pages of his book slowly turned, page by page, though his mind had drifted more than once in daydreams of exploring the thicket of wildlife shielding their new estate from the rest of the world. He hadn't kept track of how long they'd been sitting underneath the shade of one of many blossom trees, but the silence of nothing more than occasional gentle breezes and twittering of birds was interrupted by an unexpected frantic hollering of a young woman's voice.[break][break]
"*Lady Sinclairé!"[break][break]
His mother promptly looked up from her book, loose strands of hair that'd freed themselves from her up-do framing her cheeks as she lifted her head in the direction of which her named had been called. When Alfonse had, too, peeked up from his pages he saw one of their servants hurrying along the corridor pathway leading their way, though she'd stopped mid-way between the house and where Alfonse and his mother had been residing. With a pleasant smile, his mother asked, "Is something the matter, Mildrid?"[break][break]
"*No, w-well, perhaps... yes-- I'm not quite sure," The young woman admitted, fretfully smoothing the blue skirt of her simple long dress, "*A-A letter has just arrived, addressed to you... and it appears to be sealed by a crest from the Council with an imprint for a Summoning Request... " Her words were riddled in an uncertain, nervous tone that hadn't cracked the calm and composed demeanor of his mother. Her smile lessened at the news... but whatever thoughts she may have harbored from the suspicious arrival of something such as a summoning request, she didn't allow to rattle her demeanor around her son. [break][break]
Alfonse's eyes shown in curiosity as his head turned between the two women as they spoke, wondering himself who would had sent something of that nature and why, though it wasn't of complete peculiarity for either of his parents to receive such things from others. It was likely one of his family's colleagues, or someone from the Clan to deliver some kind of news. "Thank you for notifying me. Would you set it in the office, please? I'll handle it in just a few minutes," His mother's request with answered with a complying nod before Mildred once more walked in a hurried manner, turning on her heels and disappearing back through the corridors into the house. Alfonse watched for only a moment before standing up and offering his mother his hand. "Thank you, dear," His mother grasped his hand, using her own strength alongside his to rise onto her feet. [break][break]
When she'd stabled herself into standing, he slipped his palm away and took both of their books once more into his grasp. They begun heading back to the back entrance of their house, of which was a fairly clear view from where they walked with the blossom trees slowly falling behind them. A hopeful smile took form within his gaze as he thought about the recent conversations his father had with him before he departed, regarding how he would soon be asked to take on more responsibilities and training than he had been doing before. It meant that he would be able to help more.... and start contributing as part of the Dawn of Shadowstride. It also meant that maybe... he could start being a part of clan matters... like an adult.[break][break]
The thought encouraged him to find the courage to ask, "Can I go with you to see who the letter is from?" His mother seemed surprised by his question.... her rising eyebrows and pause causing his hopefulness to become combated with hesitancy. "Matters such as Summoning Rituals from the Council are better left for your father and I to handle," She told him in attempts of being careful as to not seeming scolding of his interest, though his hopeful smile had still lessened at hearing her words as his gaze lowered towards the vine and petal shrouded garden floor. "You're still very young and have other responsibilities you must learn first. It would be too much for someone your age," She added in a soft voice, glimpsing towards him before once more focusing on the nearing entrance way of the indoor exterior. [break][break]
Upon them entering, a vast space with a few different hallways was unveiled before them, the general area seeming to serve as a gateway of sorts to navigate through the house with some lounging furniture for those whom wished to enjoy the scenery of the gardens from inside. "Okay..." He quietly answered, attempting an understanding smile though the lowering of his fox ears and gleam in his eyes expressed his actual disappointment. I-It was probably too soon... to ask her that, when his father had yet to return home with news of what his next chapter in his teachings would bring forth. He was... being too eager. [break][break]
"I don't know how long this meeting will last, but when I return, you can show me what you've learned from your last hexing lesson," His mother attempted to cheer him up with a differentiating task for him to focus on, and to also find something that would keep him busy at home, "Why don't you practice while I'm away, how does that sound?" Alfonse lightly twisted his mouth to the side. Practicing more hexing didn't sound as important or interesting as being part of one of many summoning meetings he was never allowed to partake in... but he nonetheless offered a small nod in response. His mother could read him well and narrowed her eyes with suspicion when observing the distant look on his face. "That doesn't mean creating a Teleportation Hex to explore the forests, do you understand?" Immediately, his eyes widened, snapping his attention away from the scenic windows to look at her in shock. "I wasn't going to, I-I didn't even think about it!" [break][break]
She wasn't convinced and her smile, although motherly, was also warning in nature. "Don't disobey me, and don't wander far," She gently pat his head as a farewell affectionate gesture, before turning to head down one of the hall passages. Her patting was received with a slight groan as Alfonse somewhat tilted his head away from her, his face falling in boredom and disappointment as his shoulders slouched with defeat. Why couldn't he ever do anything fun? No secret meetings, no exploring, no using teleportation hexes to explore-- the list went on and on! At least his dad let him do more...

From the front courtyards, he had practiced drawing Hexing portals and using them to teleport or summon objects. Though he had been kept busy with his studying, Alfonse's mind once more wandered upon finding himself bored with what was asked from him by his mother.. even when rotating through different methods and pushing whatever limits he knew he had. He felt confident in his fluency with what he'd learned from his last lesson, and none of this was challenging enough to stimulate his thoughts from roaming.[break][break] Having taken a small break, Alfonse sat along the lowest tiered seating around the water fountain stationed right in the middle of the courtyard. Water actively flowed from its several tall tiers, a very distant view of a sturdy walled-in barrier similar to that surrounding the gardens having fallen on the side of the courtyard opposing their estate. His hand had risen with a small circular swirling motion in air, a glistening swirl of water fluently dancing in a mimicking manner around his fingers as he sat in contemplative solitude. [break][break] However peaceful his demeanor seemed, his expression was transparently bored and in a state of daydreaming as he flipped through one more page of his book sitting upon his lap... wondering how long it'd been since he was more or less kicked out from his mother's elusive meeting with the Council. When he peered from his textbook, he could see that the sun was still bright and shaded from the tall trees, allowing for only speckles of light to dollop the property. Sucking in his lower lip in thought, his Aquamarine gaze befell the thicket of shadow-woven trees residing beyond the barrier... before decidedly, trying to brush aside his actual hopes of leaving his home today, and trying to resume what he was supposed to be doing. [break][break] He rotated his hand down towards the fountain behind him, sending the swirl of water plopping back into its depths. Closing his book, the boy stretched his arms up with a small groan then proceeded to stand up. Already he had an idea in mind of what he could do next regarding Hex Teleportation practice, and the thought was enough to uplift a small smile to his face. It was something Master Leon started showing him before his family relocated to Canada, and though it wasn't necessarily part of the lessons his mother wanted him to show her his progress with, he still wanted to try doing it again while he was on his own.[break][break] Departing from the fountain exterior, Alfonse left his book behind but kept the piece of chalk with him as he found a different area of the large expanse of courtyard pavement to resume his studies. Using the white chalk, he begun drawing the symbols he remembered from before, creating the possibility of a gateway to teleport not an object but himself. And... this time... he was going to even do it in his full Kitsune form, to test his control over shapeshifting. He worked on touching up the details of one of the symbols by using his thumb to smear away excess chalk, before standing up and away from the pattern with the chalk returned to his pocket. Upon seeing it appeared to be ready for using, his smile grew with anticipation. [break][break] A dim shadow begun to align the chalked exterior after Alfonse used the proper summoning initiation. He backed away from it whilst seeing its magic beginning to transpire, the shadowy mist growing in radiation as purple sparks soon begun to weave throughout its circular space. By the time its portal was fully summoned and ready to be stepped into, Alfonse's own demeanor had shape-shifted into the animalistic stature of a Fox. One paw lifted off the ground, gazing at the portal in preparation.... and doing his best to first envision where it would be that it'd take him. A mental picture of the back corridor gardens filled his head. That would be his destination.... and when confident enough of being ready, he took a leap of faith and swiftly ran inside the Hexing Teleport. [break][break] On the other side of the gateway, Alfonse's paws slowed from their running into a halt, as though he'd been blinked from one area to the other without a single millisecond passing. What surrounded him was not the gardens.... but instead, in the very wonderland of forest trees he'd been daydreaming about all morning. The very area he had desired to explore but had been ended early yesterday before getting the chance to see more while out with his mother. Instantly, Alfonse's ears flattened upon realizing what he'd done and expressive Aquamarine eyes took in the full tranquility of the desolation that befell him. A few steps forward, his plush twinned tails floating above him, the young Fox had teleported... quite a ways farther than he intended to. 'Oh no, this... this isn't what I meant!' Fretfully, Alfonse glanced around the territory from where he stood, 'It was supposed to take me to the gardens, not here...! She's going to kill me!' The portal had, indeed, listened to the desires of Alfonse's heart with seeing more of the forested realm as opposed to the visionary thoughts in his mind. [break][break] With light and silent footsteps, the young Fox cautiously stepped along the spotting of grass aligning the wondrous Grandfather Oaks. His ears slowly rose in a meek, but curious nature as he took in everything... and what had just happened. H-he.... he shouldn't be out here... and he needed to draw another hexing portal back home. Luckily, he did have the piece of chalk in the pocket of his coat... b-but... what if someone saw him...? It was quiet out here, though.... maybe it would be okay to transform back, without worrying about anything.[break][break] As Alfonse ventured over the small meadow, he reached an area where the trees were still abundant but more spaced a part, allowing for daylight to finally beam through. The flecks of green and blue around his iris's illuminated from the harsh light hitting his face, causing them to lightly wince as he lowered his head. His paws had accidentally crunched over a few crisp leaves when attempting to turn himself around and look for an area where a surface could be found to use chalk. His tails swayed behind him from the turning motion, catching a vibrant shine of gold among auburn fur as Alfonse navigated his way around the flat stretch of forest to find, hopefully... a rock, o-or something flat to draw on...[break][break] His eyes brightened with relief when finding exactly what he needed. A large, but rather sharp looking boulder that wasn't far from what appeared to be a ledge of some sort. He immediately sped up into a run, leaping forward quickly with paws barely touching the ground for long, but tragically.... the boy was unable to reach the very rocks that would be his best means of returning him home. A loud snap and crack sounded around him, and without warning, the leaves right underneath him suddenly scattered as a netting snapped Alfonse right up and flung him into the air. His heart skipped a beat as he let out a terrified yip, startled by the sudden attack, and in a matter of a short few seconds.... he was trapped inside a strong netting, swinging high up from the perch of a branch. In a flurry of panic, Alfonse squirmed and twisted about within its entrapment, trying to break free as his heart hammered against his chest...

The escalation of his heart beat arose an intense surge of distraught as Alfonse very quickly realized not only that he was trapped.... but that the scent of another creature had begun to gradually strengthen, one of which he hadn't recognized prior. It was, as though... th-they were heading his direction, upon him being trapped. Whomever it was... h-he didn't want to find out. He desperately thrashed within the net but he had no chance to free himself before being found by the the host of the unfamiliar scent. [break][break] It was but moments after he'd been flung off his feet when a voice reached his ears, a shiver writhing up his spine when pausing in a hunched and tangled position in the netting. He was trapped.... h-he couldn't get away fast enough.... and felt forced.... to look upon the stranger that had clearly spotted him. His ears flattened behind him, eyes fearfully falling upon.... an eerie looking man.... hair whiter than he'd ever seen in one whom wasn't an elder, and a body that was bony and thin underneath his clothing. Alfonse's eyes stared at him without blinking, large and wary of the man who could have been responsible for the very trap he was stuck inside.[break][break] With the usage of shadows, the net snapped upon the frail man's doing, sending Alfonse falling to the ground with the ends of the trap that'd been touched by magic fraying undone. The forest ground underneath him seemed burned.... lukewarm, as though seared by a flame. His heart continued racing, immediately backing away from the man as he crouched down with a hand extended towards him. Wh-what was he going on about, regarding a son wanting a fox...? Alfonse's eyes remained fixated on him, a humane aura to them that differentiated from a normal animal of his form, and he didn't dare look elsewhere. However harmless he seemed, he... was talking about wanting a fox to cheer his son up, and.... th-that didn't mean anything good for him at all, when a trap had been set... in the middle of nowhere... that he fell right into.[break][break] Meekly, his ears remained flattened, his body nervously lowered towards the ground in a mannerism that reflected him cautiously shielding himself away from the other.... watching him through the mannerisms of a startled child, while trying to gain a grasp of all he'd accidentally stumbled upon. It sounded like he was under the idea that he was an... a-an actual real fox, one he desired to bring happiness to an ill-stricken child of his. He wasn't what this man was looking for... b-but how did he convey that without blowing his cover...? Alfonse nervously... hinted the expression of a nod... but remained cautiously guarded.

The ghostly white man smiled and continued conversing with him. His words resumed with an innocuous tone that only made it more confusing for Alfonse to judge the circumstances surrounding him. N-Nothing... felt right... the ashen-burnt floor that'd been unveiled through the shuffling of leaves, and how this man was somehow... suddenly right here when he'd been snatched up in the trap. He saved him.... but how could the timing of a rescuer be so perfect, when it was so quiet and isolated here? E-even if he hadn't explored the forests much, Alfonse knew how open the acres were. M-maybe he was being paranoid... the man didn't seem aggressive towards him... but it was all too spooky, a-and weird for him to lower his guard. He still felt scared.... scared of what to do, and if this man truly realized that he wasn't one among the forest creatures.... [break][break] ... which made it really hard to get away in an attempt that would be safe. That's what he wanted to do... run away as swiftly as he possibly could. Alfonse's gaze anxiously harbored on the man as he kept talking to him, sharing more about the loneliness of son and how he believed it was fate that brought them together.... the words made Alfonse's chest squeeze with an anxiety that was consuming him. His two tails gently swayed behind him as he took a couple more cautious steps backwards away from the stranger. The favor he asked to be paid in return for his deed wasn't one Alfonse intended on paying him. He wasn't a pet. H-he was never going to be anyone's pet, and the unfortunate situation of his son wouldn't persuade his feelings. [break][break] The man's friendly grin was met with another step backwards from the Kitsune, crouching close to the ground defensively.... aquamarine eyes remaining upon him.... before a blur of shining fur flashed away from the scene of fallen netting and disturbed leaves. His legs carried him in a quick bolting run that only in his Kitsune form did the boy's endurance allow him to pursue, headed in a blind direction as his only desire was to flee before he became a child's possession. He'd dodged around a few stray boulders, bounding down the forested slope in hopes of losing the man and not being followed.

Through the pitch-blackness of unconsciousness, a gradually oncoming pain begun to emerge from the numb disconnect inhibiting his body... a throbbing, pulsing pain that only upon the dark closed lids of his eyes starting to blur open did Alfonse become more aware of. A few slow blinks slowly unveiled through the incoherent blur... but the heavy pain that became all the more apparent and painful made it difficult for the Kitsune to piece together his thoughts. Wh-why... why did he feel so.... horrible.... so out-of touch?[break][break]
A light shake of his head to rattle his mind back into focus didn't help, ears that'd once been idly upright upon his head narrowing behind him as his eyes barely narrowed themselves open. There was no light around him, the surface beneath him was icily cold... like metal. Forcibly, he gathered however much strength he could to slowly begin sitting up from where he'd once laid on his side. His front legs wobbled underneath him while his hind legs remained laying behind... unable to shake away the dizziness and pain surrounding him. His senses continued to gradually emerge as his eyes opened more into better consciousness, and everything hurt. His back and legs were sore, but worst of all was the pounding excruciating pain... near the up-top front of his head. [break][break]
As he tried to stand up entirely, he bumped into... bars. Bars. The very contact of his side clumsily shifting into metal due to his lack of being able to coordinate himself was a startling, full-on awakening of his reality. Aquamarine eyes grew in a widening shock as he frantically glanced around him, seeing the dark tint of a metal cage entrapping him. His heart begun to quickly and heavily thud against his chest, labored breaths from physical and mental distraught rendering him in a panicked state of mind. Wh-what happened...!? Wh-where was he? Helplessness and confusion rattled his small form as he begun shifting about, trying to coordinate his limbs and battle against the dizziness of a body... that didn't want to cooperate with him.[break][break]
The clinking of a necklace caught sound to his ears from his slow, struggling movements... and Alfonse looked down to see the reflection of a fox much unlike himself upon the cold cage flooring. The reflect was imperfect but enough for him to see bright red fur.... the image leaving him feeling faint... and sick to the stomach. Th-what wasn't him..... that looked nothing like him, a-and this... wasn't home. He had no idea what this place was.... h-he couldn't remember anything... and the immense confusion rippled a trembling throughout his weak body. His breathing was heavy, the fatigue and nausea of his health weighing him down towards the metal floor. Dry blood spotted the side of his furry cheeks, while damp red remained in the open gash.... one that Alfonse could feel, but not see in the poor reflection of himself emitted on the dim cage surface.[break][break]
A terrified, but weak whimper left him through his panicking breaths, struggling to pick himself up onto his legs once more. Before his legs could once more give up on him, he threw himself against the front bars in attempts of braking it open.... but it only loudly raddled, and further surged intense pain through his frame as he collapsed with another frightened whimper. Th-this couldn't.... be real... h-he didn't look like himself, and he felt so numb.... and weak... what was happening to him...?

The sound of a distant slamming of a door infiltrated the silence of his entrapment... and what followed was the distinctively familiar voice of a male from over yonder. His voice was the only familiarity that reached Alfonse's weak and frightened demeanor, but... h-he couldn't.... remember exactly how and why. He wasn't in the proper physical or mental state to push through the mental fog. His body froze from where he'd collapsed at the front of the cage, his breathing heavily ensuing while listening.... trying to keep as still as possible, while fighting through his disoriented mind to piece together the horror of his prison. To try and hear what was being said. Another couple voices arose as a conversation continued beyond the dark room, neither of them peeking any recollection for the young Kitsune. [break][break]
His heart continued its distraught pounding within his small chest. Knowing that three strangers lurked was of no consolation to him... it scared him even more. What if they were going to do something to him? What if... h-he was going to die here, in this cage? A soft, shaking whimper breathed through his nose.... his parents, his mentors, his elders had spoke before of the dangers surrounding Hell species... those of Fallen and Kitsune status being hunted, trapped, ensalved... murdered. H-he couldn't hear their exact words.... he couldn't understand what was being discussed, and the throbbing of his head matched with his dizziness hindered him all the more in such a state of helplessness.... that he couldn't escape. There was nothing he could do.... n-nothing made any sense, and it terrified him how little he understood... and why. [break][break]
Footsteps neared the room, gaining closer and louder. Alfonse immediately jolted his head with a responsive painful pulse of his wound to look in the direction of the closed door, albeit his blurred vision and darkness of the room offered him no assistance. His heart raced faster at the impending inevitable encounter, his chest continuing to heave as he attempted using what little strength in his front paws to push himself backwards away from the front of the cage. It did him little good.... but he refused to give-up. The unfamiliar red paws that masked his true form slipped persistently as his flattened ears twitched at the sound of the door opening.... a sudden bright light contrasting sharply against the darkness.[break][break]
He flinched, his heart skipping a beat from the sudden entrance of a young man.... one he was forcibly exposed to without any means of being able to hide from him. His body tensed, freezing entirely as his lowered head and flattened ears remained directed towards a blonde mature looking boy. His aquamarine eyes were large and wide, staring intensely in a terrified manner as his chest continued moving along with the rhythm of his panicked, pained breaths. The opened wound upon his head made it difficult for Alfonse to properly hold himself high... nor could he fully decipher the exterior of the stranger's appearance, but that didn't stop him from trying to watch every move he made and attempt defeating his weaknesses. Another blurred figure joined him, one seeing much broader and taller in frame.... and the very realization of two men standing at the entrance jolted a stomach-turning sensation within Alfonse. As his wary eyes continued battling with his poor vision, he could have swore... he saw large horns... o-on the boy... w-were those horns...?[break][break]
Frantically he begun pushing with his front paws once more, the cage rattling as he managed to finally secure himself at the very back, as far away from them as he could achieve whilst their exchange of words took place. The possibly-demonic boy sounded shocked and even infuriated with what he found, while the man.... and the familiar sounding voice strongly indicated that he was intended as a gift for the boy. It was then.... when Alfonse recalled vaguely.... a conversation back in the forests. O-one that.... he had with the flamboyant voiced man. Such recollections were unable fully resurface as frenzied panic took over his fogged mind, rattling the bars behind him through his fatigued thrashing.... fighting however much he could... a-as though they would miraculously break free...[break][break]
His attempts continued throughout the heated exchange between the boy and two men.... though they became weaker, and less effective in bodily strength as he persisted. Even as the blurred man left the room, Alfonse remained slowly but assertively thrashing against the bars. He soon stopped, the side of his uninjured head leaning up against the bars with fear and despair swimming within the depths of his eyes.... breathing intensely. The voice of the boy promptly averted his Aquamarine eyes to once more stare at him from the side where he laid sitting up-wards, observing him.... the contouring of his horns becoming more apparent to him as his vision seemed to focus better.... h-how could he trust him? How could he believe he wouldn't hurt him when h-he was stuck in this cage, a-and.... hurt, a-and with no memory of how he even got here? Something brushed against him, causing his eyes to temporarily shift downwards and see one singular tail... that was entirely red. And not his own. The imbalanced sensation in his head caused him to sway, one arm shakily reaching between the bars and waving about in a once more panicking manor while he begun trying to press his head out between the bars. His eyes were forced shut from the gesture as his cheeks and nose fought to press through... to squeeze out... a-anything to get away from this scary place and scary Demon-y men...

From behind him, Alfonse could hear the shuffling of body movement.... the very notion stirred his weak front paws to reach impossibly farther ahead of himself in desperation. He fought to squeeze his muzzle through the bars more, but found himself unable to push more than he already had. The throbbing in his skull hadn't ceased but within the passing moments of his final panicked attempt of freeing himself, the pain caught up with him... enough to slow his movements. The fire in his spirit refused to be defeated by the poor physical state he was in... but it was but when the looming of the demon boy's shadow overcame the cage when Alfonse's heart tightly squeezed in his chest with immediate, greater fear.[break][break]
The sound of a latch came undone. Terrified and weary, his Aquamarine eyes flicked beside him in the direction in which the boy's hands had just touched the perimeter of the cage. Thump, thump, thump raced his heart in a wild manner. Th-this couldn't be the end of him... he didn't want to die... h-he didn't want to be a prisoner... and he didn't want to be touched... his mind raced with subconscious horrified paranoias that only vaguely ceased when hearing a softer voice leave the demon. Alfonse's arms stopped in their reaching for freedom... the heaving of his chest persistently, albeit he took notice of the lack of aggression displayed by the demon. While his vision was still blurred, it was enough for him to see that he took a few steps away from the cage and bed.[break][break]
He didn't grab him, but.... Alfonse still lacked trust. His eyes focused the best they could on him, not once glancing away and trying to observe him... he wanted to see his face, the way his body language presented himself.... but both features he couldn't decipher because of his own weakening consciousness. He felt worse, even, then before....[break][break]
A pause arose as his still, injured frame remained posted where he'd positioned himself and his eyes carefully stared at demon. If he left the cage... what if he entered another, worse trap than this? Anxiously he tried to sort through what to do, the beating in his skull arising an occasional flinch in his gaze... before Alfonse, slowly, begun to once more try to stand up on his own. His paws wobbled, his bum and tail slouched underneath him, as he tried to bring his head out from between the bars. His movements appeared dizzy and unsteady, but with motive. However it didn't take long at all for Alfonse to realize a new predicament... his shoulders were stuck at the bars, as he was unable to squeeze his head out from the bars as easily as he squeezed it through. He tried tilting it in a different direction but found no luck, and if anything, it caused him more pain. Another small, stressed whine left through his nose as he tried yet another angle... feeling defeated.... a-and overwhelmed with anger towards his capture and himself... f-for even getting more stuck than he already was.

The sound of ascending footsteps reached Alfonse's ears, elevating him out of his previous fatigue when realizing that the demon was one more approaching the cage. Quickly, he tried to jerk his head out between the bars with more frantic force... but an immediate sharp, merciless sting rung throughout the nerves of his neck and head. A loud, short yip surfaced from him and rendered him into a halt... pain pulsing strongly enough to finally hold him down. The presence of the demon hovered above him and Alfonse could feel within the quivering of his body, reluctance and misery of being so helpless.... h-he felt.... so degraded, and weak.... unable to hide or escape as a pair of hands touched his fur, attempting to pull him out. [break][break]
The red fur along his spine bristled and twitched from the unwanted closeness of the demonic stranger. Though Alfonse was unable to fend for himself, his body still tensed defensively. His bones were stiff as he mentally tried preparing himself for the worst... if the boy was rough or harmed him, but nothing of that nature occurred. The stranger was careful and did nothing that detoured away from attempting to aid him from his... e-embarrassing, and really painful position. When the demon's hands left him, Alfonse didn't move. The worsening sensation within his head was enough to overcome his willpower to continue fighting against the bars. He could feel it in every fiber of his body that... he was in danger of loosing his health completely... and at every pinging, sharp, pain that arose, he didn't want to move and make it worse. [break][break]
His limbs caved in underneath him and his belly fell flat against the metal, head heavily weighing downwards towards the bed as blood glossed the bars that wedged him. At the sound of footsteps leaving the room, Alfonse weakly remained where his body collapsed with nothing but the distant noises outside the room accompanying him. It all fell numb to him... as did the room, as spots shown in his vision.[break][break]
By the time the demon returned, Alfonse's head had fallen down towards the outside lining of metal beyond the bars. The defensive tensing his body lessened and the strength he mustered was almost drained. He recognized the scent that followed the demon and didn't feel the same fear as he did before. He still didn't know the boy's true intentions but he knew enough that... he wasn't heartless and he seemed to want to help him... at least enough to get out of the cage. The whispering voice caused Alfonse's gloomy, narrowed eyes to blink open a little wider to glimpse towards him when hearing the sound of items being thrown onto something. All he could see was the demon's blob, infiltrated with spots.[break][break]
The boy's hands once more reached for him, and Alfonse subconsciously tensed a little at the returning feel of fingers grasping him. The strong scent of butter sweetly arose and nauseated him as it smeared along the fur on his neck and the bars. When he was grabbed, the icky feeling of its grease smoothed along his neck before his head started to finally slip through... slowly, but much better than before. The impact along the bloodied gash on his head pressed a cry from Alfonse, trying to resist its agony, but it was all over with... the faux red fur was matted in blood and buttery grease, and his throbbing pain screamed in affliction... but he was free... and limp within the boy's grasp, a shaking breath noisily leaving through his nose as spots continued infiltrating his fogged eyesight.

Warmth engulfed Alfonse's frame as the demon lowered to the ground, keeping him held up against him with his arm. However much his spirit yearned to find an escape and venture whichever way lead him far enough to find a means of returning home... his energy was painfully drained, dangerously low and leaving his weakened body in a state of vulnerability. A vulnerability that rendered him helpless at the hands of the demon, whom Alfonse.... felt.... overwhelmed by. H-He was.... in a state of shock from all that'd trapped him, but.... h-he was also overwhelmed.... by relief that this young man wasn't doing anything to harm him and was instead trying to save him.[break][break]
A quiet apology for his capture's actions reached the red bloodied fur of his ears, causing them to lightly twitch at the sound of his voice. Alfonse's small chest slowly, and steadily moved along with quieter breaths as he remained too weak to move... and too ruptured in an increasing painful aching within his head and bruised limbs to properly fend for himself. His eyes solemnly befell a soft narrow that glazed past the demon's T-shirt, his cheek lowered against the demon's warmth. Slowly, Alfonse attempted to look up to see the face of the unlikely source of his survival... but through the unfocused weak narrow of his eyes, he was just as unable to see his true features like before.[break][break]
The blurry vision of the demon's hand met with the dark tip of his horn, the sound of punctured flesh ringing in Alfonse's ears and stirred tension within him. His senses had dulled.... his ability to react or fully decipher what was happening numbing away from him, distancing from consciousness slowly. The smell of iron, strong and arising from blood pooling upon the floor, surfaced.... the obscure blurred room was darkening through the slow narrowed blink of his eyes, clinging to what he had left in him.... and it was only upon the activated soothing touch of summoned dark magic when the reality of consciousness slowly begun to repair within him.[break][break]
Gradually, the pulsation within his skull eased away, as did the distraught heaviness in the ways his eyes had closed start to uplift. Everything begun to brighten at a slow but certain rate from where his weakened body had laid, the warmth of the jacket underneath him becoming all the more apparent to him as did his surroundings. The smell of blood.... the scent of the demon, the aroma of certain furnishings within the room.... it all steadily started reaching his senses before Alfonse's eyes returned a fatigued but nonetheless still brightening life to them. They opened from their previous closed rest, initially flinching from returned light searing their delicate recovery sight. Wincing, blinking slowly, and reopening them entirely.... for the first time, the room was clear to him. While his body felt exhausted from what it'd been put through, the dire injury was gone... his pain nearly diminished in entirety.[break][break]
He still felt disconnected from his physical body, and shell-shocked... it took him a few moments to gather himself, shifting in place slowly to try regaining his strength as relief filled his chest. H-he couldn't believe.... the demon healed him, and that... h-he actually felt okay. He wasn't dead.... but everything still felt surreal. The scent of meat immediately dawned upon him when he'd shifted, his head lifting and seeing a plate with what he could easily tell was turkey and something else with a bowl of milk. Wearily, he tried to use his renewed strength to sit up as Alfonse's rejuvenated brightness in his eyes gleamed with remaining dismay, internal gratitude, and confusion. The faint markings of a hexing symbol were recognizable to him, and.... in that moment, he saw that not only had the demon saved his life, but even offered him a meal.[break][break]
The sound of bodily movement caused him to quickly turn his head in the direction of which he heard it, seeing the demon boy clearly for the first time. Dirty blonde hair, framing his face, with curved black horns... Alfonse was nearly intimidated by being met with his fully physical appearance for the first time. He could feel a quake of anxiousness within his chest.... conflicted by the fear of being trapped, and being thankful for what the stranger did for him. He observed him, taking in his demeanor, his scent, his facial features.... and as he rose onto all four paws and took a cautious few steps forward away from the coat, the strengthening scent of blood matched the scent of the hexing circle. He stopped without getting close to the demon, continuing to curiously observe him and process everything. I-It still completely overwhelmed him.... that the demon used his own blood to save him... gave him his coat, a meal... and didn't shove him back into the cage. What was he supposed to think of all this...? He couldn't fully trust him, could he? That... wouldn't be smart of him, would it? But it wasn't him who'd actually caged him, either...

From where he'd stopped in his steps, Alfonse's gaze weighed upon the demon... observing him, studying him, and attempting to sort through his wary thoughts. The tension in the boy's face with his eyes closed caught his attention... and guilt more strongly accompanied his uneasy stomach. He wished... there was something he could do to pay him back. For his sacrifice, and for saving his declining health. Th-there was... in a way... something he could do but not in the form he was in... a-and however guilty and curious he may have felt towards the unlikely potential ally he'd met, Alfonse couldn't risk his identity. The boy may have not been a danger but... the same couldn't be said about the other men in the household. [break][break]
Upon the demon opening his eyes, his brown gaze befell him. Immediately Alfonse felt another tension within his frame from the sudden eye-contact, finding himself nervously tilting his head to look off towards a different side of the room. Without moving his head, Aquamarine eyes reverted to gaze back upon him, seeing a relaxed smile that matched a gentle tone of voice... one that felt as though it were attempting to comfort him. It worked a little, easing over him enough to turn his head to once more turn his head towards the demon. His compliment of his paws caused for Alfonse's gaze to shyly lower away as he self-consciously rose a front paw mid-way from the ground. The word lingered on his mind... making him feel increasingly bashful. 'Pretty'...[break][break]
Red fur framed the paw he'd lifted. Seeing it... made the word lose its effect. A soft exhale left his nose as Alfonse sat himself up-right, using the same paw to hook itself through the necklace's chain and tug its charm forward to look at for himself. Within its charm was nothing of particular beauty... a sign of ownership more so than true jewelry, as the designs along its trim were intricate enough only to establish some value. Its small size rested within the pads of his paw that he'd turned to face him and when looking at it carefully enough, a small shimmer of magic subtly hued it. [break][break]
His ears twitched lightly at the demon's comment of his owners being worried... the very thought of having owners was enough to make him shutter inside. The Kitsune briefly broke focus away from the charm to vaguely side-eye the demon, his features still soft but a sharper gleam casting over his eyes before they once more averted to the charm in his paw. There was no way for the older boy to know he wasn't a forest fox... b-but it still just... was really unnerving to even think about having an owner.... when he was in a cage not long ago. Hesitantly Alfonse considered the options he had.... this boy, his savior, was his easiest ticket out of here but... h-he really didn't want him to look for an owner that didn't exist. Nor did... h-he want him to find him a new one under false illusion of what he was. And... h-he did save him... the older boy deserved seeing... a-at least more of who he was. [break][break]
Anxiously, his paw swayed the chain as his mulled through second-thoughts of a decision that came to him. His fear of being sent off as a domestic Fox to another home was enough to convince him... that he needed to remove this charm. Lowering his head, he unhooked his paw and used it to easily tug the chain up and off him. The necklace clinked onto the ground and in seconds, the illusion of a small red fox misted away from his frame with a dull glow. What sat in its place was Alfonse's truer Kitsune form, taller and larger but sleek in build. Golden-auburn fur, silken and shiny in appearance, covered his frame with two long plush tails airily floating to curl around his front white paws. White hued his chest, face and ears with the same eyes as before meeting with the Demon.[break][break]
The unveiling from the illusion's charm transpired within moments from being removed from his neck, and the ability of being in his own body again resonated great relief... before anxiousness quickly anchored him. Alfonse stood onto all four paws and with polite intents, bowed his head before the Demon, his front arms kneeling forward in an introductory bow before him with his twinned tails swaying behind him. Their first true meeting, with both of them showing whom they truly were... a-and however calm and graceful he tried to seem while doing so.... Alfonse could feel his heart wildly pounding against his chest.

Aquamarine hued eyes slowly uplifted, his head remaining lowered in his bow before the demon who'd been his savior. Conflicting with his graceful demeanor was the meek nervousness and worry dwelling within his eyes that rose to hesitantly meet with the blonde's stature... to see his reaction... h-his heart raced so fast it almost pained his chest. The demon's expression was one that he couldn't decipher well enough to bring him any ease from such a vulnerable reveal. His words instilled immense sheepishness that had he not been in his full Fox shapeshift, the embarrassed heat in his face would have flushed his cheeks red. A-a charming animal...? That.... th-that really wasn't who he was.... [break][break]
However, Alfonse sensed a slight mask concealing the demon's tone. Something sounded and felt not quite as it seemed with his statement... b-but the young Kitsune didn't dare risk pushing past a limit of his physical form that he was already frightened of being compromised. He rose his shoulders, bringing his chest and the rest of his upper body upwards as he left his bow and entered a tall sitting position before the young man. His twinned tails swept around him, their thick silky fur appearing much like a long boa that wrapped in front of his paws. Alfonse's heart continued beating in a fury of anxious emotions surrounding their whole meeting and the events that lead up to it.... and he felt very grateful that the blonde's reaction to seeing he wasn't a forest fox followed the kindness of his previous actions. The boy didn't turn on him nor did he express a change of heart. [break][break]
Alfonse remained sitting, humane eyes observing the dirty blonde as he rose onto his feet. Curiosity reflected within his expression.... brightening in visible surprise when being told he had the freedom to either leave on his own or wait to be lead back where he'd last been. If only he could express to him... how much he was thankful and relieved for everything he was doing for him. H-he couldn't.... he couldn't transform into a 'human' right in front of him. That was too vulnerable... a-and too scary, and risky! Even with how much he'd been helped, Alfonse didn't forget how the man who captured him to begin with was just somewhere beyond the bedroom's door and that there was another man with him. [break][break]
Being lead back to where he was before being kidnapped... was what Alfonse's heart immediately felt the most relief in doing. He would have the protection of another person around him. However.... h-he was gravely concerned that he didn't even remember where he was. If he had chalk... he could draw a hexing portal to get back home. His gut turned when seeing the demon turn towards the doorway, clearly with the intentions of leaving. It forced Alfonse's to think faster on the spot, and to rise onto all four paws. [break][break]
In a silent and swift movement, he leaped around and in front of the demon to block his way. Fretful eyes gazed at the demon, internally panicking to grasp at how to communicate with him... and it was then when he caught sight of a desk residing nearby. Car toy models in protective clear cases, mechanic tools.... it took a couple quick glances to come across a notebook within visible reach resting upon the desk's exterior that appeared more like a workshop's station than a student's study area. A subtle glow of purple aura spurred beneath his front paws, growing larger as it begun to whirl around his wrists. Once it manifested enough magic, one of the purple swirls arose from his paw and glided towards the desk. [break][break]
He wasn't composed enough to be careful and was, instead, hasty to send the boy a message. Thus, the purple shimmering aura ended up lifting and shakily carrying a black worn textbook from the visible surface of the desk. It wobbled heavily while levitating towards them but Alfonse didn't wait for it to reach where he'd stood. He zipped away from the blonde once more, meeting the book half-way and catching it in his mouth. In a flash he was by the boy's side once more, dropping the notebook in front of him. It fell wide-open, scruffy and used pages fluttering before reaching a blank striped sheet. Determination filled him as Alfonse placed focus in the purple aura not to fizzle on him.... both ringlets of purple aura no longer circled around him, and instead shifted and sparked as they begun streaking the pages as though trying to formulate letters...[break][break]
The writing faded in and out, and Alfonse's ears worriedly folded as he internally fought to push the limits of his exhaustion to make some form of sense... o-of what he was trying to say. [break][break]
"I don't know how to find my way back there,"[break][break]
The first few letters already begun to entirely vanish before he'd finished, and anxiously, Alfonse lifted his head to briefly look at the demon... his heart squeezing in desperation as he lowered his gaze back at the paper. The magic-infused writing struggled to keep it's form, shimmering but nonetheless working well enough with Alfonse's adamant focus to show another set of wobbling letters. [break][break]

The aura kept hold of its written shape, dwelling on the last few words upon Alfonse's own determined focus. He wanted-- desperately hoped-- something like this would enable a more clear form of communication between him and the demon. He didn't like being... unable to speak with him at all.... a-and he didn't want to be left all alone without knowing when the guy would come back and knowing that man who captured him was around. It didn't help that he had no idea... where he even was. A-and he just moved to this place! Th-this was all too scary... and there was no way he wasn't going to try doing more before possibly being left by himself.[break][break] A scoff sounded beside him and Alfonse's muzzle immediately arose higher to have a clear look at his face. Hope but the very same anxious desperation gripping at his heart swam expressively in his face as he attentively listened for his answer. The demon's words were understanding of his predicament.... and Alfonse was subtly relieved that the demon revealed he was aware that he wasn't an animal. Once more, he was met with a rush of gratitude that the other blonde's stance with helping him hadn't diminished upon discovering he was more human. He wasn't willing to take a chance with anyone else of the household finding that out.[break][break] His uncertainty with the other boy seemed to ease upon his response and immediately, Alfonse refocused on the opened notebook. The whirling of magic once more begun to separate from its singular shape, formulating letters gradually alongside the lined paper. He didn't want to lose the fragile magic while he had it at his beckoning... he had to be straight-forward, and clear without dwelling on the eloquence of its writing. The shimmering magic warped and mingled as the letters gradually collected on the paper, much like before.[break][break]
"I want to go home. Please help me?"[break][break]
He looked up from the paper, Aquamarine hues seeking the boy's expression and once more hoping his luck hadn't run out. His stomach felt heavy with knowing how much trouble he could still be in. How could someone help him if he didn't even know anything about Lorsette? Or the forests that his family had nestled themselves so far into? What if he'd been taken even farther away than he could have imagined?

A sigh left the dirty blonde before he continued on to apologize for his parents. Alfonse's gaze remained upon the demon, the own expression in his eyes filling with a deep sadness at the mentioning of them. He didn't know if both the boy's parents were behind his abduction... n-nor was he unafraid to learn more about them... but when the demon apologized for their actions, he felt a sympathetic concern for the other boy. They were his family. This was his home... they way he described them as being unstable made him wonder if the blonde may have not been in a safe environment himself. [break][break] It made his stomach feel sick again. Alfonse's summoned magic dimmed at the intensifying of his own emotions distractedly beginning to halt his focus. When the boy expressed a willingness to help him get home, the heaviness temporarily lessened as his gaze shown with a thankfulness for him. There was another issue presented, however... he didn't have an address to provide. His head thoughtfully turned away, a paw nervously fidgeting underneath the tails that once more wove their plush fur around him. He tried to think.... tried to remember.... and his ears dropped back in discouragement after a pause. He looked down at the notebook to continue his means of answering, seeing that the demon was helping keeping the notebook open for him. He was truly lucky that this boy wasn't alike with his parents.[break][break]
"I don't remember,"[break][break]
The woven shimmer of magic spelled it out on the paper, Alfonse's gloomy expression steadily focusing on the paper as the letters deconstructed once the other boy read them. He closed his eyes tightly, trying to think... think, think... th-there had to be something else he could share that could help them. H-he barely lived in their home for a few days.... but he explored beyond the walls before-- oh! That's right, there were the brick walls! His eyes opened wide with the lifeline he had to work with.[break][break]
"It's in the forests by a beach,"[break][break]
The purple aura was beginning to appear more see-through than before and Alfonse, fretfully, tried to get the words out as quickly as possible. He gave a quick peek to ensure the boy saw, turning his head to briefly glimpse his way, before continuing to share what details he could muster. [break][break][break]

When he finished what vague description he could articulate through the magic writing, the aura's strength had significantly faded from its original summoned form. Alfonse was on the brink... of feeling completely hopeless about actually being able to find his way back home any time soon. Doubts and fears were circulating through his mind, mingled with uncertainty regarding where they even were right now. This boy could have lived in a whole other town, a-and Alfonse had absolutely no knowledge regarding Lorsette or the Canadian territory it was in... b-but... he still had this boy to help him. It meant that he wasn't alone. He had a companion. He had someone who healed him and saved him, and was even going to help him more. Without the blonde... he would be completely terrified.[break][break]
The Kitsune worriedly faced the blonde. The aura itself had nearly vanished, being nothing but reminiscent sparks of deep purple that dwelt along the paper in shapeless glittering. His tails subtly moved in an anxious mannerism as he watched and observed the demon whom pinched his jawline in thought. His open admittance to being new to Lorsette lifted Alfonse's ears in surprise. It was consoling to hear that they were still in Lorsette but Alfonse was shocked to hear that he was new to the city just like he was. He was both comforted in knowing he wasn't a million miles away from home, but also discouraged that the demon may have known just as much as he did about the city... which was close to nothing. [break][break]
Alfonse's head turned, the bright hues of his eyes following the demon's hand as it went on to gesture towards the window. His gaze roamed from his hand, to his face... seeing a confident smirk that caught the boy's curiosity even more as to what he was thinking. He had a plan.... and Alfonse's whole demeanor perked up when the demon came up with a brilliant idea of flying above Lorsette until he saw his home.[break][break]
Immediately, he pounced up onto all four of his paws with exuberance that defeated his low energy. His multi-tails swept behind him as a spark of genuine eagerness dwelt in his eyes. Clearly, he was more than willing to go with his proposal. 'Yes, flying! Why didn't I think of that?' His thoughts excitedly cheered. They found an exit plan and one that sounded like it could really work! Alfonse gave an approving nod of his head, already bounding over to the window without stalling any more time. His fox form was naturally faster than how he carried himself on his more so human feet and practically in a silent flash, he'd left behind the journal where it'd been of assistance on the floor and was ready to go. He turned to face the demon when right up at its glass exterior, as though beckoning him to lead the way. He placed all his faith on the one glimmer of light he had to getting home safely and his readiness to leave didn't leave room for hesitancy. Or to place deeper thought on what could go wrong.
