Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!

exter’s facial features flinched under Brendon’s scrutiny, but he gave a genuine attempt to answer for the first time. “Well… it’s sour and sweet… has a strong flavour. It’s pretty good.”
Brendon practically beamed at hearing the redhead’s answer. He felt giddy triumph bloom throughout his petite form as he rocked on the balls of his feet, his hands interlocked behind his back. “Good!” He complimented, eyes glimmering a bit as he stared up at him. But, quickly enough, he turned back to the table to pick up another empty glass and pour a second drink.
“Now try this one!” He almost demanded, holding the glass up for the older male to take. He had purposely selected a drink he recognized and had tried before… and hated! He didn’t remember what it was called but it had grapefruit and rosemary herbs! It was the most bitter and sharp, gross, drink he had ever tasted in his life!
With wide eyes he stared fixated on the bespectacled male, clearly anticipating the moment he gave the drink a try.
Completely and utterly lost in a sea of social interaction and expectations. Those were the emotions orbiting through Dexter's brain as he was hauled around by the youngest and only child of the Matthews' family. This sickening torment of expected social prowess made the redhead feel out of place in this frightening social scene. The introverted gamer preferred spending the majority of his time hiding inside his room with a controller in his hands or a keyboard beneath his delicate fingertips. These fancy parties were hardly his forte.

After sampling the first beverage, the young boy seemed content with the provided answer, eyes beaming as a one-word compliment was given. There was something about the remark which reminded Dexter of a teacher's praise. Was there a wrong answer?! Were his opinions suddenly banned in favour of making the young brunette content?! The bespectacled man bit back an annoyed sigh, narrowly manage to muster a weak smile. The last thing the redhead wished to accomplish was making a scene over a minor disagreement, which meant playing Brendon's little game of Guess the Correct Answer or Face Judgement.

Another glass was fetched, a light pink liquid being poured into the cup. The redhead watched Brendon, listening to the demand as the glass was offered. A brow raised as Dexter grabbed the cup, gazing at the pink liquid contained inside. The drink appeared pretty, however, that would not reflect the taste under most circumstances. Carefully, the cold drink was brought to his lips, a small sip being taken. The bespectacled man flinched at the sharp, bitter-tasting beverage. While Dexter did not favour bitter-tasting drinks, he could tolerate it should it be required.

There was a pause as Dexter stared at the drink, uncertain about his feelings over the taste. He would have preferred something sweeter with the colour, similar to pink lemonade. The balance of sweetness and sour tastes would have been delightful.

"Well," he began, racking for the words, "it's not that bad, but... not something I would drink again personally..."

An honest answer was given and phrased in "safer" way in hopes of satisfying Brendon. There was hope the young child would consider it correct and allow the redhead to avoid being reprimanded by a mere teenager. These inquiries were opinion-based, however, Dexter found himself trapped in a situation where his opinions hardly mattered. Hopefully, the answer was adequate for Brendon's liking.
