Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
In all honesty, Azura had no idea where she was going. Well, of course she knew she was headed to a bakery, and she had a general idea of where it was was - from home, at least. However, she never really had been the best at directions, and having decided to go for a bit of a wander about first, she’d gotten herself admittedly a little too turned about. She wasn’t so bad that she didn’t know left from right, but even those directions weren’t much help right now. Not unless she found someone to tell her when and where to turn either way.
That, of course, would mean she’d have to ask someone. Great. Just wonderful.
Frustrated but admittedly defeated, the little bird fluttered down from her lofty perch upon a lamppost, found herself the emptiest spot, and shifted back to her humanoid form, quick to adjust her coat to ward off the cold. She’d been hoping a literal birds-eye-view would give her some better perspective, but it had honestly just been a complete waste of time. No matter how high she flew, it wasn’t like she could see through the bakery’s roof in order to locate it. From above, everything was just as much of a muddle, if perhaps a bit quieter and less busy. Now on the ground again, she felt like she was dodging trees rather than people. No way were they moving for her, apparently.
Azura was so focused on just making it through the crowd, preferably without being knocked over, that she didn’t notice anything off. Anyone watching her. The eyes that might glance toward the glinting red pendant at her chest that she normally kept tucked beneath her top where it couldn’t be seen, not really much for taking risks. She was fairly certain the crossing up ahead was the right one to take, and once she got somewhere familiar, then she could certainly find her way from there. She hoped.
Caden had been scouting the area for some easy prey to steal from, or a possible fling to save for a little bit later. As much as he liked the thief that he had found the other day, he wanted to keep all his options open. His mind was drifting slightly, thinking about the man that had stolen his wallet only to be rewarded with a fling. Oh how he wanted to see him again, but enough about flings, he had work to do. Not to mention his brother likely knew his thoughts and he didn't want him knowing every little thing going on in his mind. He stopped looking around, having caught a pretty blue hair girl with sea blue eyes. Azura was moving around people, it was apparent to him that she had someplace she would much rather be, the perfect target to steal from, seeing as she was less likely to attempt to follow after him else she would risk never making it to her destination. As she continued on her way, he had started following after her, careful to not bump into anybody as he moved around them to keep up with her.
Within a matter of moments, he had wrapped his arms around her. One could accuse him of being a pervert, he could careless since he found many people to be beautiful enough to have flings with that the term pervert might be much more accurate that he would care to admit. "Hellooooooooooo beautiful." He would whisper, careful as he removed her necklace from around her neck. He would wait for her reaction before pulling away from her. Thankfully when he found prey to steal from, it was a normal, chase and run away game. So he already had an idea of how this one would go along as soon as she had noticed when he had taken her pendant from her. He would back away, before turning to run away from her, having no interest in sticking around for everybody nearby to recognize that he was the thief. This was soooooo sweet and such an easy catch. He thought to himself before slipping the necklace into his pocket as he continued fleeing the scene.
Perhaps normally she would have noticed she was being followed, but in that moment, she hadn’t even glanced behind her. Getting through the crowd was hard enough, and she was focused on just getting to the crossing. The other side of the street looked a lot less busy, at least, so she would be much happier over there. However, perhaps she should have been a little more wary, a female newcomer travelling alone, no less, that didn’t know the dangers of the city. Later she’d have to scold herself for her idiocy. Likely her brother would do the same.
Zana would insist on accompanying her next time, no doubt.
When arms suddenly wrapped around her, Azura felt herself stiffen. She felt fingers graze her neck, but she didn’t pay quite as much mind to that as she did the voice near her ear. She didn’t care if he was calling he beautiful, something she may have blushed at in any other situation. What she did care about was that the creep seemed to think seeing her as beautiful was a good damned excuse to make some kind of move on her.
“Let go of me,” she said quickly, hoping she sounded less panicked than she felt, but knowing well enough by her widened eyes that there wasn’t much hope in that. Perhaps she ought to have just screamed instead. However, before she could reconsider - or attempt to make him let go (rather painfully with any luck), he had already acquiesced her demand. A few steps back, and she turned to glance at him just as he darted off. Perhaps he’d thought her someone else, and he was embarassed? Her eyes narrowed, before shooting wide again in horror as she instinctively reached for her pendant to find it gone.
“Hey!” she cried out, all thoughts of keeping attention off her fleeing her mind as she bolted after him, weaving awkwardly through the crowd. “Give that back you creep!”
Caden couldn't help but laugh when he heard her shouting out to him. It wouldn't matter how much she tried, she wouldn't be able to catch him like a speed like her own. She'd need to be soooooooo much faster if she planned to keep up with him. Brother, you should have seen her face when I wrapped my arms around her, it is such a shame that I had to steal from her because I think she would have made one hell of a fling. He thought to himself, knowing his brother could hear his thoughts, he would need to focus on ignoring them if he planned on not knowing about them, just like he knew what his brother was thinking right this moment as well.
Oh how he enjoyed these moments. He rounded a corner, working on his escape. If his brother wanted to play, now would be the time to do it before the game was over. Of course Azura wasn't going to be his only victim today, just as soon as he found another person he would steal from them too. He kept running, the faster he got away the faster they could move on with life. He didn't have time to stop and chat about his crimes that he chose to commit, it was in the past and besides it was toooooo much fun.
All she could hear as he ran off was his laughter echoing back to her. The nerve of him! She needed to be faster, that was for sure. She wasn’t sure what species he was - he looked perfectly human, but then, so did most races - all she knew was that he was so much faster. She was never going to catch him at this rate. So, without a second thought, she shifted forms and took off into the air.
At least this way she was much faster, and she could see him from above. Her shifter form truly was a blessing. However, just as she thought she could catch up to him - and with her shifted speed she ertainly got closer - she lost sight of him. Eyes narrowing, she aimed for her enhanced sight to pick him up, but there were so many people moving about. Lowering her flight to just above their heads, she flew around for a bit, still looking, before she caught a gleam of green hair. There!
Immediately, she shot toward them, flying up behind them with her speed in tact, before she shifted back to land upon the ground, reaching out to grab their wrist firmly in the same movement and settle an icy glare on them. Little did she know, she most certainly hadn’t caught the thief. Noticing the tears that had trailed lightly down her cheeks, she furiously wiped them away with her free hand before setting her jaw, hoping she’d still look at least a little intimidating. Unless he’d take pity on seeing her cry and give in, because that was always something she could force herself to live with.
“Alright, I caught you,” she offered firmly, biting back a quiver to her tone. “Now give it back.”

[break] Silent boy has finally arrived after a template delve!
After several days of cold, the weather warmed allowing for a pleasant day traversing the streets of Lorsette. The sun shone across the snow and crowds were plenty as people used the opportunity to gather groceries before everything turned miserable once more. Unfortunately, the massive crowds allowed for easy cover for dastardly Milton twins to separate and search for possible victims to their thieving attempts. It began with a single thief among the family, but it appeared the younger twin began performing the sinful act, following in the boots of the older twin, Jayden. While his brother began a little over a year ago, the silent twin had accomplished the illegal acts since he was a mere child, thus growing adept at a young age. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he watched the fray of people moving past one another, nobody really catching his eye for possible thievery; he wanted a specific person. The type which flaunted their wealth, but proved to carry a fat wad of cash instead of meagre cards. Stealing those oftentimes ended in the money being traced or the card being closed before he or Caden could use it for their own desires.
[break][break]
As he watched, Jayden wore his signature hat on top his green locks alongside a green long-coat with a high-bearing collar to better hide his sharp facial features. Sunglass hid his brilliant green eyes, Jayden wishing to remain hidden from those around him. While he watched the innocent people wander the streets, he wondered if they ever thought about how close a criminal could be in their vicinity. Certainly, they were too fixated on their personal business to possible ponder such notions, right? He supposed it was his advantage being the wrongdoer in the situation. Eventually, Jayden's eyes caught the familiar green and a hint of red of Canadian money; a twenty (the green) and a fifty (the red). There needed to be at least seventy dollars in the back pocket of a professionally dressed man with a briefcase in his hand. Considering Jayden failed to find any more notable victims, the best choice was this gentleman with at least seventy dollars carelessly placed in his back pocket; it was literally primed to be pickpocketed.
[break][break]
Thus, Jayden moved silently, timing himself to cross the sidewalk behind the man, his hand smoothly plucking the bills from the pocket and plunging them into the pits of his coat. There was a side glance towards the man, the older twin checking his peripherals to see if anybody noticed. The lack of confrontation accompanied by no reaction from his victim assured Jayden he was successful. Despite the successful mission, Jayden remained expressionless to avoid suspicion, although, his job felt beyond easy. Fortunately, it was not eye-catching and allowed for the older twin to blend into the crowd to avoid suspicion from any other citizens in the business district. There was no thrill in a simplistic mission, unfortunately, thus Jayden remained excited for when Caden could plan their next large-scale heist. Adrenaline, difficulty and general enjoyment were discovered in those moments for the kleptomaniac. As he proceeded to walk down the sidewalk, he heard his brother mention his recent accomplishment in thievery.
[break][break]
"Seriously?" Jayden answered, returning the telepathic thoughts. "I have seventy bucks... but the dude was an idiot and left it hanging out his back pocket."
[break][break]
Currently, Caden's spoils and methods were appearing more fun compared to his own, more reserved methods; then again, Caden was practically triple his speed. The younger twin could easily accomplish more risky actions considering he could speed away to avoid the RCMP or the victim; then again, Jayden merely needed a door to end up miles away. After a few moments, the older twin turned into the alleyways, planning to use an obscure method of travel to get elsewhere. Constantly, his eyes scanned the area until a sudden gust of wind blew his hat off, causing a sigh to escape his lips. The hat was plucked from the ground, Jayden dusting it off before putting it on his head. Another scrutinization of his surroundings until a firm hand grabbed his wrist, resulting in the older twin lifting a brow; did the businessman play calm this long? A glance back allowed him to notice the blue-haired girl, evidently upset and demanded him to give it back. There were tears trickling from her stunning blue eyes, certainly, the cash was not of significance, right?
[break][break]
There were people who required money, although, Jayden oftentimes provided them mercy, instead, fixating his attention on the excellently who were bound to have plenty more money. Losing it would be discouraging, but would not cause a plethora of problems those of low wealth possessed. Silently, he stared at her, uncertain of how to react to her emotional expression and the words she stated. She was obviously distraught about something he did, or somebody of replicated appearance did...
[break][break]
"Brother... did you steal from a blue-haired girl?" He asked telepathically to Caden.
[break][break]
There were no words spoken from Jayden's lips as he proceeded to stare at the beautiful woman clinging to his wrist. Her eyes managed to catch his attention, magnificent and sparkling like sapphires; he wondered what they would look like with the absence of tears. They would definitely display their excellent shine better than in their current, sorrowful state. It was shameful watching her cry, the older twin even being bothered by it despite witnessing several incidents of people crying from valuable possessions being stolen, but why exactly was she different? She was merely displaying the mundane human emotion of sorrow like everybody else. Instead of listening or staring any longer, Jayden turned away, deciding to keep moving; should she continue to remain latched to his wrist, he would merely drag her along. There were people he needed to observe to possibly steal from, although, he felt oddly guilty for not attempting to soothe her sorrow and could not comprehend why... This was an interesting development for the normally money-minded male.
Caden had grinned when he heard Jayden's thoughts, unsure of what to say, he had left it at that. Because he had been focusing on running away, he hadn't noticed Azura shift forms before trying to search him out. Thankfully he had managed to get away from her. Of course it seemed his brother wouldn't be so lucky, it wasn't his fault that Jayden hadn't done a good job of avoiding being detected by other people, let alone Azura he had just stolen from. Yes. Isn't she adorable? He thought to himself as he tried picturing her in his mind. He slipped inside an abandoned building before walking up the stairs. He then would pull the necklace out of his pocket before staring at it. Why do you ask, has something happened to you brother? Shall I come and save my darling brother in distress? He thought, clearly teasing his brother. He was amused that Azura had managed to find both of them, two bad for her, she had found the wrong twin. Jayden wouldn't be able to give her back her necklace.
You should ask her if she wants a fling. I bet she would run off if she believed you to be serious. He thought, clearly amused with how this day was going. If he had known she was going to search him out, he would have had a little bit more fun with her. And why not, she was such a pretty little thing. What ever you do, don't bring her home with you. That would make things super awkward. He would think before moving towards the window to peek outside. It was just his luck that he just so happened to see the pair walking. He covered his mouth and laughed, happy that his hand helped muffle the sound so that he wouldn't be noticed. They were sure a sight to see and seeing as how his brother tended to get flustered, he was unsure on if he should go help him out, or remain in hiding under Azura figured out that Jayden didn't have her necklace because he had it.
He just stared. Not a word left the male’s mouth as he turned toward her, and he just met her gaze and held it, staring at her blankly, almost as though he didn’t know what the hell she was, much less what she wanted. Blinking uncertainly, she attempted to straighten a bit more beneath his gaze, lifting her chin in hopes of appearing a little more confident, though she still found herself averting her gaze a little. Its like the damn idiot had frozen her mind just by looking at her, and she didn’t know why. Whatever the reason, she felt really self conscious in that moment.
No! She had to get that necklace back!
However, it seemed he had other things in mind, as just as quickly as he’d turned to stare at her, he began to walk away, practically dragging her with him. Stumbling a few steps after him in surprise, she caught herself and instinctively released him, caught entirely off guard after he so suddenly broke whatever damn trance he’d settled over her. ‘What’s wrong with this guy?’ she wondered silently, before realising she was letting him get away. Perhaps, considering the way she was grabbed earlier, she may have reconsidered following him. That could very well be what he wanted. However, she wouldn’t let him get away that easily, so the risk never breached her thoughts beyond a flicker.
“Hey!” she piped up, perhaps a little indignant as she jogged a few steps to catch up. Damn, he walked fast. Well, he was taller than her. “Where are you going? I just want my necklace back, okay!” The possibly of him being mute crossed her mind, before the comment from earlier echoed again in her thoughts. Nope, definitely not. And if he could speak, she doubted he was deaf. Well...maybe? Unlikely, though. So what the hell was up with him?
‘At least he isn’t running this time,’ she mused.
Darting a hand forward yet again, she aimed to grab his shoulder in the hopes of spinning him around - or at the very least getting him to stop. Should he stop, she would too, glancing down at her feet as she bit her lower lip, rather than meeting his gaze if he turned. “Look, I just want it back. I’ll...I don’t have much, b-but....I’ll pay for it back...” Idiot. Stupid, stupid, stupid! That was a terrible idea! Yet, it was said now, and the quiver in her voice told reluctantly that she meant it as she drew her hand away and looked up at him with wide eyes, almost like a pleading puppy. She was told once she was cute enough to get anything she wanted - maybe it was time to test that theory.

[break] You guys are so quick, and here I am 4 days later. lol
Guilt resulted in a faint aching sensation in Jayden's stomach as he turned away from the crying woman in a desperate attempt to avoid the negative emotions. Those enchanting blue eyes were bothersome on the attractive face of this mysterious woman, although, turning away failed to solve his problems. Originally, he thought his silent stare managed to deter her following, but instead, the beautiful, blue-haired girl stumbled before finally releasing his wrist. The comments Caden made in reference to her ravishing appearance resulted in Jayden outwardly rolling his eyes. Countering or questioning his younger twins opinions was a pointless cause, especially considering his thoughts fixated on the more libidinous endeavours which arrived with partners. Under most circumstances, Caden providing these opinions were meaningless, however, part of Jayden desired to snap about leaving her alone; these were never comments thought of prior. As he proceeded through the slender gap between buildings, the older twin wondered why he remained bothered by his twin's promiscuous attitude when it arrived at this particular woman.
[break][break]
Long strides were taken, Jayden attempting to distance himself from the blue-haired girl. When he heard her proceed to speak again, he merely continued walking. There was a mention of a necklace, confirming Caden to be the culprit of the missing item. The telepathic communication silently continued as Caden made his comments about him being a "damsel in distress", resulting in another annoyed eye roll from Jayden. Considering his skillfulness in combat, the older twin doubted he would be placed in that type of situation.
[break][break]
"I'm fine. I can handle cops, guards and other strong people, I can handle a little girl," Jayden responded. "Now where the hell are you?"
[break][break]
Pink breached Jayden's complexion when his brother nonchalantly recommended requesting a fling in hopes she would leave. Those naughtier desires were never interesting in the older twin's mind, especially considering his immense shyness. He could hardly manage to voice his opinions when around a group of strangers, thus why he frequently left Caden with the art of conversation. While his twin possessed a dirtier mind, he also had the social skills to successfully speak in conversation.
[break][break]
"FUCK NO! I AM NOT LIKE YOU, CADEN! I CAN HARDLY SPEAK IF I ATTEND AN ASSEMBLY MEETING, LET ALONE FLIRT!" He responded in a mild flustered, his cheeks gradually returning to their fair complexion. "OF COURSE I WON'T BRING HER HOME! I'M NOT THAT STUPID!"
[break][break]
There was suddenly a hand on his shoulder, Jayden stiffening until his steps ceased entirely. The older twin glanced over his shoulder, analyzing the woman's facial expression. The manner which she bit her lip suggested nervousness, perhaps anxieties over handling the supposed criminal who thieved her valuable necklace. She voiced her desire for her necklace, a quiver evident in her words, offering payment which made Jayden's brow raise as his interest was earned, yet, there remained a guilty feeling in the pit of his stomach. For some otherworldly reason, taking money from her seemed wrong; as though he would be committing a great travesty as a result. After she stated her "please", Jayden proceeded to stare before an inaudible sigh escaped his lips.
[break][break]
"Why?" A single word meant to voice his curiosity about why she desired the necklace back.
[break][break]
Despite his yearning to escape the guilt in allowing his brother to steal her necklace, Jayden remained motionless in the alleyway, awaiting her pending response. Based on her attachment to the piece of jewelry, the older twin was interested in the value the item possessed, going lengths to presume that perhaps it was monetary.
Caden just grinned as he watched the pair. Just somewhere safe. Are you sure you can handle her? She is just sooooooooooooooooooooo adorable. He thought to himself, a grin plastered to his face as he moved away from the window to avoid being noticed by them. Oh come now.... You know that I'd do it for you in a heart beat. I can always use the loud speaker, she shall think it was a recording.... It will be so adorable.... He thought to himself, talking about the both of them, not just Azura he had stolen from only moments prior. Well, when your ready to accept my help. Just let me know. I'll be waiting to hear your plea. I'm only kidding, but in all seriousness, I'll be waiting to assist you. He thought as he peeked out the window with the hope of seeing them again. He found himself watching them for only a few seconds before pulling away to lean against the wall. With them being so close to him, he was trying to figure out how he might help his brother get away without getting caught by Azura. Not that he'd have trouble getting away again, it was just why get caught by her in the first place?
At her touch, the male simply froze. The stiffening of his muscles beneath her hand had her flinching away, but at least she succeeded in getting him to stop. He even glanced back toward her, silent and staring like an owl as he listened. It was unnerving, to say the least, the way he simply watched her. Still, there was something about him that felt....different. She had no idea how to describe it, really. So, she found herself attempting to shove it aside.
It didn’t really leave until he spoke.
Entirely caught of guard by the single word, her eyes widened in surprise and confusion, and she found herself reacting to that rather than any common sense. “Why? What do you mean why!” She burst out, incredulous. The moment the worst left her mouth, the tone a little harsh in her desperate confusion, she clamped her mouth shut and shook her head softly, aimingto recollect herself before she spoke again. This wasn’t how she ought to handle this. She already knew this man was a thief, who knew what else he might do if she angered him! She’d already taken a bad enough risk grabbing him - twice - and she wasn’t sure she liked that the mention of money seemed to gain his interest.
Sighing softly, one to match his own breath of silence, she glanced down uncertainly. How could she possibly put into words why she wanted it back so badly? Well, of course in some ways it could be simple - it was the last, the only, thing she had left of her mother. The woman she never met, who gave her naught but a neckclace, a name, and her beloved brother. Yet, she didn’t wish to go into her whole life story with this stranger. He was a thief of little words that seemed so offputting and so drawing at the same time. She felt like the idiot in a horror movie.
“It just...means a lot to me,” she murmured finally, glancing back up to meet his gaze. A piercing green gaze she’d expected to find much more unsettling, yet instead she found herself failing to draw her own gaze away again, like she’d been drawn into those green depths and was unable to escape. ‘Idiot!’ the thought flickered through her mind like a hiss. ‘What’s wrong with me?’

There were never thoughts taken towards the possibility of people desiring their items back, Jayden desiring to ignore the possibility of guilt. He was a thief, expected to merely steal without thinking about the repercussions or feelings he sparked as a result. Stealing items and lives were always meant with emotional responses from the owners or loved ones, alas, the older twin always ignored them. This woman, however, was an entirely different case for the fighter. Perhaps she possessed a special power to manipulate his emotions? Under most circumstances, he was impassive about the emotions of those who lost something; he never even thought about how he would feel should somebody decide to steal his belongings. While his brother occasionally would steal from him, Jayden was never worried considering sneaking into Caden's room was easy, thus he failed to comprehend the significance. The abrupt complaint which burst out from the blue-haired girl's mouth caused Jayden's brow to lift slightly, surprised by her sudden shift. From what the older twin gathered, the stranger was adamant about retrieving her necklace opposed to fleeing.
[break][break]
As he fixated his green eyes on her, Jayden found the guilt creeping back into his gut, yet, he failed to understand why. While handling the young lady, he listened to his younger brother's vague answer on a location. An outward sigh escaped his lips, the socially awkward man desiring a more descriptive answer.
[break][break]
"Soooo descriptive, he began sarcastically. "I can make you walk home you know. Have we been there before?"
[break][break]
When Caden made his next remark about flirting on his behalf, Jayden glanced away from the female stranger as his cheeks burned red. Listening to his younger twin's flirtatious tendencies, the bashful man could only imagine the words which would be stated on the recording. There were bound to be vile comments which suggested libidinous desires, which were notions he preferred to avoid entirely. He was about to proceed walking when he heard the woman speak again, although, Jayden refused to turn his head because of the slight shade of red.
[break][break]
"... I see," he murmured. "Are... you going to let go?"
[break][break]
Confliction was becoming a problem, especially since there was something special about her attention, alas, the guilt proceeded to eat away at Jayden. Once his complexion turned fair, he glanced back towards the mysterious woman, finding his met by her dazzling blue eyes. They were marvellous and brilliant, shinier then gems now that he could proper gaze upon them. The older twin found himself staring, examining her beauty before finally glancing forward, remaining motionless.
[break][break]
"This girl is weird... Also, no, I don't need help. I can handle myself," Jayden informed Caden. "I'm the soldier if you can handle her, I definitely can."
[break][break]
After a few moments, Jayden pushed himself to proceed with moving, albeit, slower than before. The long strides were ceased in favour of short ones. He struggled to speed himself up, as though there were strings binding him in his location; as if something magical held him in place. It was obvious remaining near the stranger resulted in these peculiar effects and Jayden knew he could not risk allowing these guilty emotions to consume him. His occupation was to steal, not worry about the emotions of a beautiful woman.
Caden couldn't help but snicker at Jayden's threat, though it was true that he could go home with Jayden, he honestly had no trouble walking home either. He was fast, it wasn't like anybody could catch him. Though on the other hand, he didn't want there being a possible chance of anybody trying to capture him in the first place, so it would be easier to stay on his brother's good graces. Fine fine.... Instead of giving a location. I suppose I'll just go to you instead. He thought as he awaited for his brother. Caden had peeked out the window to see that Jayden wasn't looking at the woman. Perhaps it was because he had managed to fluster his dear older brother. It was what he would get for trying to threaten him with a walk home. Oh my my, is it hot outside today. He teased, counting on his brother to possibly getting more flustered from the thought. When his brother tried convincing him that he wouldn't need help since he was a soldier he couldn't help but smirk.
Is that so? Well damn, I should have bought popcorn because I'm going to enjoy watching this. He thought still smirking slightly. And if it wasn't clear by now, I can see you in my location. Too bad for you, you don't know which one. There were buildings all around them, sure Jayden could make a correct guess, but that wasn't to say that it was guaranteed, so he knew that he had won that battle. Plus with Jayden knowing he was nearby, maybe he could get him even more flustered. You are sure taking your time in ditching her. Let me go grab my recording. He teased, though he hadn't moved from his spot, he was just determined as ever to see his brother blush some more.
For a moment, he just stared at her, as though she’d just spoken to him in an entirely foreign language. Did he have no compassion or understanding at all? At this rate, the male was seemingly entirely emotionless, sighing once more, perhaps in exasperation at her persistence.
That was, until a bright red seemed to rise upon his face, just as he abruptly turned away again, so once more she faced only his back. Caught off guard again, she seemingly forgot she really ought to be wary of this male, her eyes widening in surprise. ‘Is he....blushing? ...why?’ Casting the thought aside, because she wasn’t going to know without asking, and like hell was she going to ask a thieving stranger that. Still, her confusion remained, only growing as he spoke once more.
Gaze falling down to her hand - which she had already pulled away when he stopped, a slight frown touched her face. “Let go?” Perhaps he meant to let go of the idea of getting her neckclace back? The thought made her eyes narrow slightly as she peered up at him, though the confusion still took precedence - why did she seem to be finding it so hard to just be angry with him and demand the necklace back? Oh, right, because she was a pushover that avoided confrontation. That had to be it.
At that, it would seem his gaze was drawn to her own one more as he turned his head, and she stared at him uncertainly as he seemed to silently examine her, before walking off again. How many times was he going to do this? He wasn’t even bothering to run, or even walk fast this time! It was like he was in some kind of slow motion daze as he just dawdled off, and she found herself simply staring at him for a moment before taking a few steps forward, stopping again without closing the gap this time, and calling out to him.
“Look, you’re clearly in no rush to get away, so obviously you can’t want my necklace that badly,” she pointed out, hoping her voice sounded a little more stern and a little less nervous than it actually did. Was that movement she saw in a window up there...? Her eyes were great at detecting motion, and she could have sworn she saw....no. She couldn’t get distracted. What if he ran off again? He was walking slowly now, but considering his one ighty from flirtatious to silent blushing, he clearly wasn’t exactly consistent. Or stable, for that matter. “Why don’t you just give it back, and I’ll leave you alone, no calling police, nothing. Deal?”

There were disadvantages to being the polar opposite of his twin in personality, which were these moments where victims found him and demanded their items back. While his brother could simply scare them away or entice lustful thoughts, Jayden was oftentimes limited to intimidating gazes and displaying his superior strength. Currently, however, it was becoming the victim to an attractive woman's pleading for the return of her belongings; merely being in her presence was mildly disorienting. The older twin kept attempting to comprehend these abnormal thoughts and actions. Generally, he would not feel these pangs of guilt or force himself to move slower than usual. Certainly, there had to be somebody playing puppet master with him, whether it was this girl or an outside source was difficult to decipher. When she questioned his demand to let go, Jayden finally realized she had merely been standing there, not holding him in place. A faint pink touched his cheeks, the older twin lowering his head and shrugging his shoulders, attempting to give the impression of being cold rather than embarrassed from his slip up.

"You're coming to me? Caden, it is easier if I come to you! Just send me a picture, dammit! I can teleport and be there in seconds!"
[break][break]
There was an infuriated tone as Jayden sent a telepathic message back to the more flirtatious twin, praying he would grant him a location he could teleport to. If there were enough images, he could possibly open a doorway there and escape the beautiful woman to desired her necklace back. The teasing was suspicious, the shy twin immediately surveying the area after hearing Caden's remark about the weather; he prayed his brother was not witnessing his pathetic escape attempt. Eventually, another exasperated sigh escaped Jayden's mouth as his eyes narrowed; Caden was enjoying watching him squirm because of this beautiful woman! It was infuriating, especially when the older twin wished to fetch his brother and leave Lorsette entirely before she proceeded to make the guilt rise.

"It's not funny! Stop being an ass!" He snapped back.

When the female stranger proceeded to follow, Jayden merely glanced towards her briefly and continued to move slowly. There were some excellent points made, however, the older twin wished his body would rush away instead of gradually dragging himself forward. The guilt became irritating, going the length to bring a mild stomachache as his head insisted to steal the necklace from his brother and return it to the blue-haired girl. There was a shrug after she mentioned her deal, Jayden knowing police interference would be an excellent excuse to teleport home through the nearest door.

"Can't you get a new one?" Jayden grumbled quietly in response.

There were plenty of occasions where the older twin was forced to purchase a new hat to allow his twin to match him; they had an identity to maintain to Jayden's displeasure. He assumed she could merely buy another online, which would presumably be in better condition than her previous. The blush returned when Caden made his comment about taking his time, the older twin sparing a moment to glance around for his younger brother. Obviously, his flirtatious brother possessed a vantage point to watch them, but the problem was deducing where Caden could possibly be. They were both thieves, thus Jayden was under the impression his brother would possibly be hiding somewhere secluded where few people could enter and exit; it was the best method to avoid detection.
