Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!

Guess it's kind of funny how everything began to push towards a new time. A new world where all and everyone became more used to the idea of a better world. The cold air nipped at her cheeks as she walked the sandy beach. Her mudi, Verity was happily running in a zig zag; the cold water hitting her paws. Verity barked out at the blonde, a smile on her lips as she then bent down. The small pup bounded quickly over to her, giving her a shell.
"It is beautiful, isn't it? I'll put it in the study," brushing the sand off the shell, the young woman looked over her shoulder. There was nothing behind her and yet, she felt a horrible and nagging feeling something or someone is watching her. Or, it could possibly be in her head. The war is elsewhere, I should pay attention to what's in front of me for now.
Her attention was brought back to Verity who found herself a newfound friend. She was already ways away.
"Verity! Don't disturb the person!" Panic rose at the back of her mind.
I DON'T THINK YOU'VE EVER TRIED BEING A ROLE MODEL BEFORE.
Walking along the beach was something that calms her done. It is an everyday routine, or perhaps if ever she has the time. Sirens aren't supposed to be far away from water that much, and Colette is one of those sirens. She had grown to love the sea, and whenever she has the chance she won't stand being away from the water for too long.
Colette had gotten to Starlight Beach earlier than she thought she would. And the earlier she went, the sooner she turned into a siren. The sun was shining from up above her and she can't help but look at where it's situated, though not directly; everyone knows looking at the sun directly would blind the naked eye. She doesn't swim along for a few moments, tired for having done so for hours after she had gotten here. She tries her best to hide her identity as a siren as she could; population around the sea had increased over time. She sighs and closes her eyes, and is prepared to leave--
Barking resonates from behind her, and she quickly jolts away. A dog is barking at her, in a rather excitable manner, and she tries to shoo it off with her hands. "Shoo, shoo! You're splashing water around me!" She exclaims, though she doesn't expect the dog to understand. It's irritating, really, when you find yourself relaxing, only to discover that a dog will be disturbing you a few moments later.
She hears a voice calling to the dog -- Verity, was it? Pretty name for a dog -- and she turns from where the person is with a look on her face. "Really now, can't the dog control herself?" She asks with a rather irritated tone. Then she smirks up at her and lays herself on the wet sand, water almost reaching for her face. "But then again... Nice to see your dog is making a new friend."

The beach should have been isolated during the season of the cold and snow. However, there are some who seem to wander and find peace with the sound of the waves. For Natalya, this was just another way for her to familiarise herself with loud noises. Seeing her loyal canine bounding to an unsuspecting person should have been normal. Luckily, the other person showed no threat. The beauty of having a dog that knows the difference.
"I'm sorry about that, Verity! Come over here girl!" Her voice alluded the sound of authority, demanding the dog to come back to her side. As such, Natalya looked over the girl, making sure nothing was damaged.
"Verity likes seeing new people, she tends to run around when there's open space," bending down on her knees just a bit, Natalya scratched behind the canine's ear. Loud panting and small little awoo's could be heard.
"I apologise for what my dog has done, is anything damaged? I can compensate if you need."
I DON'T THINK YOU'VE EVER TRIED BEING A ROLE MODEL BEFORE.
She considers herself lucky to have the little pupper's owner by her side right now. She needs her daily dose of attention, as well as relaxation. It is not going to be stopped by such a silly little dog as this. Ferriti... was it? Or had she not heard right? No, Verity. The little dog's name is rather cute to hear, though. It suits her well, though she is not sure if it fits her personality as well. Colette is one to judge inwardly, but she does not want to insult the young woman in front of her, so she stays quiet.
She calls out to the dog and apologizes afterwards, while Colette is forced to look at the dog's rigorous panting and the silly little coos it emits. Now there's no denying it; Verity is adorable. To the young woman, she waves a hand in the air and huffs with a small smile. "Oh, deary, it's fine. I'm quite used to several animals' antics." She states rather haughtily, raising an eyebrow while staring at the dog. "She's cute, I say. Very obedient."
The blonde starts explaining more of the little dog's attitude, before asking if there is anything damaged. She looks around and sticks her tongue out of her mouth. "Do you see anything around me, deary? Of course not. I don't have anything damaged in me, thank you for your concern." She tells her, lying down on the sand and throwing her arms on the back of her head so she can lie down on them. "I'm fine, you don't have to worry."
Suddenly she feels as though something has changed; her legs seem to grow metallic and whenever she moves them, they emit soft sounds. The water manages to cover them up, though, but still her company may hear. "Oh... my..." She smiles sheepishly up at the blonde. "I think I may be undergoing some... changes."
