melias o'begnuath e a t h o n e y m y c h i l d , f o r i t i s g o o d . general info
appearance In their humanoid formation, Melias as he likes to call himself, looks like a ordrinary human except for his iris- and hair-colour which both look like they're made out of solidified honey. he often dresses himself formally in suits, but those aren't truly his only clothing style. In fact, when he's at his own or with friends, he sports a simple oversized sweater and jeans. His body is known to be androgynous or intersexual, meaning he does sport both a bigger breast area, as well as a noodle under there. his facial structure isnt particularly manly either, and he barely, if at all, sports any facial of bodily hair growth. His true hiveformation can turn and make any shape they desire, aswell as outspreading themselves from a swarm, making them essentially be spread out to thousands, if not a million horrifying (or cute, depending on your view on these insects) undead honeybees that all share the same mental conscious that they're directly linked from. They remain in contact for around 4501km maximal, comparable from los angeles to new york, and untill this distance they could control themselves unless perhaps they're on a different plane of reality or something. They're all individual undead bees, all of which dripping off the layers of beewax they were once covered with. The compound eyes of the bees are bloodyred, and the wings tend to be darkish and black instead of being almost translucent. personality
A rather curious persona, being of thousands of years old doesn't change the fact that melias can be really childlike and creepy at one time, while giving the best advice ever and calculating the most difficult equations, possibly figuring out formerly unpreditcable theories in an instance. Melias is a weird figure, that's clear. He is incredibly artistic, using beewax to create sculptures, aswell as painting with honey-infused watercolours like old artists once did. He's incredibly playful and often mischievous, but will always help if someone asks him to, especially if they gift them memories or wisdom to absorb in return. He is very asocial and hermitesque, as he tend to himself rather than making true friends, but if he's in the mood, or you just go to him very often, he would try his utter best to make you comfortable except for some pranks he might wanna hold on you. He is extremely wise, but he doesn't tend to show it off at all. It's rather passive, and something he doesn't find to be useful and thus doesn't really care about it, even though he has a potential to be one of the wisest beings on earth. When you would ask him to explain it, he wouldn't bother, but if you ask him to do jobs regarding his wisdom, he does them with ease and like it's nothing. Ask him to theorize about flight in the 14th century? And he'd invented a primitive magical flying machine. Ask him to fix the string theory, and he probably does it in a simple night. Only the hardest task is to realize or know he's actually this smart, as he passes and act like a child, and doesn't tend to show it at all in public.Currently nobody tends to know or makes use of this, and it's basically really hidden. Those that do wouldn't care much about it at all, and probably would ask him to do their homework or find a better way to get groceries than anything as big as clearing up string theory. He's simply really deceiving. He act's so much like a mischievous ancient old pixie that rather spends time doing pranks and making friends with toddlers, kids and animals, than to realise he's actually worth much, much more. abilities & WEAKNESSES REANIMATED BEEHIVE GOLEM PHYSIOLOGY: (LvL: ∞)* This is a seemingly very simple concept, but difficult to explain. His whole existance is based of his golemified material. In this case, he is a reanimated pile of dead honeybees, possibly frozen to death after a unpredicted snowstorm. The ancient beekeeping farmer from prehistorical Irreland that took care of the hive was deeply in sorrow after his lovely little bees were murdered by the spiritual winter entities he believed in, so he prayed loudly to the farming-gathering village he was apart of to the Gods, hoping for them to spare his bees. Instead, a local warlock did his best in help. He thrown the bee corpses of the whole, extensively big hive on to a pile, and stuck them all together with beewax and honey combined. On top of the pile was were the Queen Bee laid still, and he shuffled down a magical crystal between her lifeless limbs. By a magical ritual, the bees were reanimated, but in a mere sentient identity. The whole hive was given a humanoid body to mold themselves upon at will, but they were essentially a hive of undead bees so they could also desolidify themselves into a collective swarm like any bee can, and just like those they can just as easily leave the swarm temporarily to go on adventure themselves. This means that basically, the golem has three formation: a humanoid, a swarmed one, and the abillity to loose a single form and go around freely for as far and long as they want for as far as 4501km. Essentialy however, they are one being. Their bees are undead, and extremely high speeded, comparable to speeds maximally at 99 miles per hour, like an Eurasian Hobby falcon, but only with either loads of stress and/or caused adrenaline, or by other otherwise uncommon times. 99 miles is really the max, and if gone long at this speed, they were essentially deadly tired and required to rest out for several days afterward. He can hitch-hike any individual bee's senses to control them and perceive the world through said bee, but can even decide to look through the world to plenty of them, but this is limited to perceiving the senses of max. 10 individual bee drones at once. He usually however goes looks through the world as the queen bee only, but might look at other of the swarm's drones occasionally to see what they may individually decide to do, and if it may require intervention of the shared hivemind. He is extremely susceptible to mental attacks, but only those situated from undead or even hellish creatures. This means that any hellish denizen or undead creature can willingly manipulate Melias his actions may they wish and be capable of that, enabling them to force him to recall his hive back together if they're too far gone. The moment can be made more intense, because if the other being would use any kind of soap or smokes on the hive, they can internally harm the golem intensively untill they are left with limited, to even perhaps none sign of life and consciousness anymore. Melias can also be fooled or tricked by using anything with the color red. Real bees can't seem to see red, and while this isn't exactly true for Melias, the sight of the color red causes mental confusion to his shared consciousness to a degree that eventually, he tend to faint uncontrollably by the sight. This can be ignored by using specific spectacles made for filtering the red color, but he barely uses these to be it considered useful. BEE COMMUNICATION: (LvL: 03/10) Melias is able to communicate with real bees outside of his hive, but only with limited skills. This is mostly done by the dances of the bee, a nonverbal signs language used by many real bees that's the second most diverse and interactive unsentient animal language to date, only supassed by monkeys at this time. He isn't much good in it, and it requires a lot of focus for him. POWER OF PROPHECY: (LvL: 04/10) Bees are said in myths and folkloric to be extremely wise. But not only this, they are also said to be prophetic in origins. Take the Thriai bee nymphes of Greek mythology as an example, three nymphic sisters of bee origins that have powerful prophecies over the time of their life in their respective myths. Melias has adapted this abillity by gaining a magical bond with their formerly lifeless bee corpses in combination with the ethereal gemstone that reanimated them, just like all other abilities. He is able to divinate various things, and is seen as a great but troubled clairvoyant to many in the field. He is at his most clairvoyantic power by perceiving, connecting and experiencing the flying patterns of outside bee swarms. This form of augury called entomomancy (insect divination), or specifically to bees named apismancy, and works by generating predictions through focusing on and watching specific natural phenomena. In Melias his case, focusing on the swarming patterns of real honeybees will cause his most powerful of predictments, though he can use any other divinative magic with some learning curve. keep in mind, he can't predict life-changing events such as deaths, terrorist attacks, etcetera, without atleast some, if not complete miscommunication. The future is passive and ever changing, so it will be very limited to the truth, which is ever-changing. HONEY MANIPULATION: (LvL: 07/10) Melias is able to control honey, mainly limited to the dark-tainted magical honey made from their personal hive. This honey tends to be bitter and spicy, instead of the sweetness of real honey, and is said to be a little darker of color, more dark orange-ish than true yellow or light orange. He can use this honey at his own will, shaping it, hardening it, and even liquifying it to the state of water. He can use it to make blades and other constructs/weapons, but those blades are rarely as durable as they are sharp, usually turning back to their thick honeyish liquid origins when they are used for half a year or something similar. MENTAL NOURISHMENT: (LvL: ∞)* Melias, being composed of formerly dead bees that are reanimated, must feed off a life source other than stereotypical undead or mortal beings. He tends to have a diet consisting of mainly mentalities, which he can absorb and feed from by using one of his single bee drones to sting inside any mortal individuals facial or otherwise cranial surface, pumping himself full of information based/copied of remnants of either memories or theories/wisdom from said individual, which he later consumes after the particular bee brings his recently found food source back to the hive, where they need to swarm on to each other in order to fully consume it as one. If he wouldn't do this for over a month without it, he would slowly be forming himself permanently into his humanoid form which would eventually rot and desiccate to the point they are completely dried out and almost lifeless. MENTALIS LIBRARIUM: (LvL: 7/10) This power allows him to tap into 'any written form of human knowledge', limited currently to past and present for most, if not all knowledge. This is mostly reachable to things that are written physically with ink, rockcarvings, etc on a physical surface, but it may limitedly be used to get information through computer generated writings of wisdom. He can't properly decipher any destroyed and gibberish sources, unless he takes time to specifically use other sources to learn how to decipher said destroyed or unfamiliar/oddwritten While limited to these results, he can't truly put up a question and get answers to it. He has a mental Reference Sorting System, that enables him to search for the correct book by references. If he has a question, he must search first on the subject, which afterwards he gets glimpses of various written books that come and end as quick as the devil. Eventually, he will be focused on books written about a specific subject. Then, he may think of words or sentences being used in said book, in which he once again gets quick glimpses of books untill he focuses on the results. Eventually, after potentially sorting further from authors name, their nationality, a date of publication, and so on, he will finally be able to reach mental pictures of a re-imagening of said book in its current state. If it's destroyed, he will need to learn a way to decipher the lost pieces, and overall he need to take time to read it all, even though he may be a normally fast reader. It must be realistic, so a 350 pages article isn't read fully within a minute. After this, he can decide to remember what he has learned for at maximum of decades, if not one, or he may decide to properly forget it naturally like anyone would after some period of time *= LEVEL ∞ MEANS A PASSIVE/NATURAL ABILLITY. backstory He is not really sure what exactly started his existance. out of anything he so wisefully is said to know, he believes nobody truly knows the full story. There is one legend however, he fairly assumes to be of considerable truth. This would be the story of his origins as an early golem. The legend tells of a beekeeper that deeply loved his craft. He spend his whole life perfecting the perfect hive, allowing thousands, if not a million inhabitans of his single, most respected hive. In his prehistoric homecountry of Ireland, he was considered a very special beekeeper. He was said to make the best and sweetest kinds of honey, great additions to mead, the ancient alcoholic beverage made mainly by fermented honey mixed with water. He did this in a large magical beewax container made a lot like modern beehives, one he crafted with the help of his powerful warlock friend, predating the many modern ways from the 19th century with almost a similar technique. The bees felt undenyably close to the beekeeper, loving him for taking care, giving the hive an almost magical bond with him. One day a gigantic blizzard happened in a midwinter day. Houses were destroyed, animals confused, and bees were dying, if they were even around during the coldest of winter. Sadly, this was the case of the hive of said beekeeper, which he later found being frozen to death on a pile of bee corpses laying next to his beehive container. He was confused at first, how would those bees, which are usually summer and sunlight requiring animals, still be in Ireland. They already must've gone by now, untill he realised the bond he had with them. They must've felt so incredibly close, that the bees decided to stay at his side. However, this ended sadly to their horrificly frozen death. The beekeeper almost died of sorrow, and kept praying to the Gods of these Old Times, the proto-celtic divine spirits, by screaming his prayer out loud on top of the hills nearby their farming-gathering village. The beekeeper's warlock friend returned from a unexplainable journey to see him praying his sorrow. He promised to do his best job reviving the animals, and so he tried. He found one arcane spell of reanimation, but it required not only some sacrifices of murder, but also the reformation of the hive to a sentient golem. Knowing the risks of making a golem, he revived them anyway, putting the pile of recently deceased bee corpses on a snow-man esque pile, and holding them all in place by sticking them to eachother with a combination of honey and beewax. On top of it he lay down the queen bee, an shove a miniscule magical gemstone down the queen's little limbs that once revived would mold partially itself in the queen bees physical body, representing all of the hivemind as one gemstone holding the shared consciousness. Eventually, they were reborn, but remained undead. They were assigned the ability to mold the whole hive into a single, humanoid identity, and outside of this, they were still regarded as one main consciousness, serving over every member of the hive, while the individual hivemembers were still of limited self-control, able to freely decide what to do in situations automatically unless the superior hivemind intervened. They were also granted some other abilities, mainly magical ones, and thus were gifted sentience. misc Cant see red or will go mad. He dislikes wearing suits, but because he feels more like people tend to take him seriously, which he would deeply still prefer despite appearing not to care, he decided to take this formal wear | roleplayer info ☆ NAME LEONIDAS ☆ RP EXPERIENCE several years now ☆ TIMEZONE central european timezone ☆ GENDER masculine / greygenderish ☆ AGE 19 ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS n/a ☆ FACE CLAIM houseki no kuni, zircon ---------------------- THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO leonidas.
