Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2022
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
With April, an activity check has arrived for members to do! Please post on the AC and tag all your accounts, including WIPs and OOC accounts. Failure to post on this AC will result in your accounts being marked inactive or deleted. Please note, due to a late start, the due date for this check has been adjusted for one time and one time only.
Kyoya sat down waiting for a fellow TRS member to show up that he had just heard about earlier that day. Why this guy wanted to meet kyoya he didn't know or for that matter why he chose this location. Kyoya was only sixteen years old yet he was a high rank. Kyoya is a pale skinny kid with white moppy hair red eyes. He always wore his grey and white striped shirt that looked like the stripes where arrows going down his shirt, simple black shoes and skinny grey pants with buckles around each pant leg. He also had a custom cane/crutch which was laying beside him as he sat down. "Well if I'm not early then this guy is late" he said briefly as he took out a screw driver fussing with the electrode that was attached to a metal choker around his neck that wired up into his head behind his ears. He had been having a harder time walking around which ment either the battery in the electrode was wearing out or the wires were crossed. He had this thing cause one time he got shot in the part of his Breslin that sends electrical signals to the part of his brain that controlled movement and his powers. Kyoya watches for this guy Jester to show up, as he felt around the electrode box for any crossed wires although this was always difficult to do by himself.
Jester was going to meet up with the scout leader. That way he can get the info he needs to send his units to where they needed to be. He might not take a lot of this job or his rank seriously. But the general did hate having his fellow members die in an ambush or anything else that might be a fateful end to their lives. He has been in pretty much every single war you can think of. So death wasn't that big of a deal. But in a age where peace is almost a guarantee now a days. Having people killed in cold blood is more than enough to make Jester get serious. More so to end a war before it even starts. He walked through the door and sees the kid playing with his collar? Why was he wearing a collar is he some edging kid... And wait why is he so young. Jester had a bad habit of forgetting a lot of news told to him other than things that had to do with AP movement. So when he saw the white haired kid. The memory flashed in his head that someone had told him that some youngster took over the scouting division. Which at the time was a surprise considering how young he was.... Then he forgot about it. But better late than never to talk to him and get the info passed onto him then his men on the movements of AP. No better person for that then to meet up with the Scouting division's leader.
Jester walked in carrying a bunch of snacks in his arm. As he popped a little ball that was chocolate into his mouth, he plopped down onto a seat across from the kid. His eyes peering at the kid. "Huh never imagined a kid to be the leader of the scouts. Let alone so young." he said aloud...more like thinking aloud. As he looked at him in curiosity. He popped another ball into his mouth as he looked on. "Let's get down to business. I asked you here so you can inform me of the movements of AP. And anything else that needs to be attended to." he said in a professional manner. He did wonder what this kid thought of this old man, being the general but acting like a kid most of the time.
Kyoya had noticed the man as he sat down well he sure seems old he thought to himself. "Look who's calling who a kid" he said looking at all the sweets the guy had. "Someone has a sweet tooth, and I know I felt your look at my collar her. Th reason being on why I have it, well long story short I protected a child, couldn't do that and protect myself so I got shot it the head. I managed to slow down the bullet but it damaged the part of my brain that regulates electrical signals expecally for movement and my powers of vector manipulation" he said. He then got down to business and started to tell him stuff when his collar started sparkling as he fell over. "Shit" he started unable to move anything but his neck up. "Mind giving me a hand the wires crossed" he said pointing to the three wires that came loose and had twisted.
"This is why I hate this thing" he said as he sat there. As he sat there he told Jester where troops where needed. "So what's your story you don't normally act so serous from what I have heard." He asked as his red eyes met Jesters. His was a reflection of himself lonely teenage boy. Still learning about life itself. Yet his eyes showed how much he had seen and even read vilolace as he listened to what Jester had to say.
Jester looked at the kid as he started to explain a story on how he got the collar. He just assumed it was some fashion choice. As he kept going on, Jester yawned a bit as he started to pick his ear in boredom. And this is the problem with having a General that is pretty childish a lot of the time. He gets bored easily. "I don't really care for your story kido. I just want some info from your scouting units so I know where people need to be posted or to make some missions for my guys." he said as he yawned a bit. He has had some sleepless nights recently so that didn't quite help his mood either.
As he watched the dude fall from his seat as he just looked over the table at him as he said if he could help. "How did one manage to become the scout leader if you can't move?" he asked as he looked at the kid curiously. As he got up from his seat and walked over and started to poke the dude seeing if he could actually move or not. Until he stopped and untwisted the wires and put him back on the seat. Until he finally got down to what Jester came here for, which was the info he needed.
"My story is too long for you kid. No need to go into anyway." he said as he looked at the white haired kid. "Plus who said I don't act serious." he asked as he put a hand to his chin and started to think. "I am always serious no one can tell because I am such a playful person probably." he said as he shrugged. As he looked at the kid, as he stared back at him. Jester's eyes probably showing a lot of death and destruction. Mostly from his days serving under Thanatos pretty much being his right hand man. But no one knows that, not even the TRS people that brought him on board. He liked to keep that on the down low considering some might find that if he worked and still is working for the god it might bring some problems that he just doesn't want to deal with.
”Now that this thing is working punch me and find out why I became the scoutmaster” he smirked knowing full well unless this guy knew how to get around his vector manipulation. That he could reverse the vectors of his punch making them his own and controlling them which normally resulted in the person's arm-twisting. As long as his electrode was working and he hasn't been fighting for 30 minutes straight he could reverse anything that had a vector just before it hit him. He could also do something that could help someone bleeding out even threw an artery, or he could use the same trick but kill. This was when he touches a person since a person blood flows in a certain direction it has a vector to it even if you can't see it. He could help by redirecting the blood flow to another artery or he could have two different blood flows go against each other causing a very bloody mess. But no one would think he was the type of kid that could do that much damage.
”Ever heard of vector manipulation?” The pale white haired teen asked with a smirk on his face. Few people knew what it was let alone its main weakness. Yes, Kyoya had more weaknesses due to the time limit and wires. However, there was always one weakness he had before his accident. But then again he liked the fact few knew what his weakness was. He could also create shockwaves in a way underground if it was right below him it would create a creator where he stood but yet he would be uninjured. He could also stomp his foot diagonally sending the vector from his foot hard in the ground nd so fast that it would break up rock and send them as shock waves instead of electricity. A bomb could go off and he wouldn't have a scratch, even one time stepped on a landmine but nothing happened, not even a single scratch although that was before he had the electrode around his neck.
