Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

T
his place didn't smell as foul as she had imagined. Although the air did not smell as clean as it would in her mountains, it was… clean enough. It was a place that one of her kind could easily settle into, if they were desperate and had no other alternatives whatsoever. She had always imagined this place to carry the stench of the neglected and the dead, so it was a surprise to find that she could breathe easily here, without feeling faint or sick. But then again, she had likely found herself in the better part of this "civilization," a porcelain mask to an unfriendly face.
She had come to observe these strange creatures and their colonies. So many of her kind had fallen prey to their wickedness that they had been led astray from the Old Ways. So many had come to live here, like her dearest friend Everette. For many years, she had wondered why. Why would such divine entities be influenced by lesser beings? Why would Everette seek their company over those of her own kind? To ease her concerns, she came to this place in search of answers.
In hindsight, she had no idea what she was doing. She kept floating about, observing the architectures and the entertainment centers and the people going about their business. When one of those creatures tried to get close to her, she would fly away, fast, as if fearing they were diseased. Some she did allow to approach her, for their compliments about her appearance and flight skills satisfied her immensely. Otherwise, she spent most of the day flying about and kept away from others.
But eventually, she would have to ask someone for guidance. Simply observing this place did not please her curiosity. There were things and places that Everette told her about that she wanted to see. In addition, she had the worst navigation skills. She had never really had to use them before, until now. And so, she gathered her courage and approached the first somewhat reliable-looking person she could find.
"You," she started, looking far too serious for someone about to ask a silly question. "Where can I acquire provisions? And sweets, in particular?"
Kayla was out and about trying to get things for Percy. Like usual she traveled a bit of ways with the little money she had to get some food for her dear Percy. It was hard to even imagine how far she would go just to please her dear love. But here she is in the northern side of the city cause she heard about a place to get sweets...mostly for her and not Percy. Kayla wandered around trying to find this damn store but had no idea where it actually was. She looked around and around for it. Back tracking and taking different paths to see if that led to it. But nothing. She sighed softly as she was in fact lost. "I think this makes it the third time this week I got lost." she said as she put a finger up to her chin thinking about it. "oh well I'll keep looking." she shrugged with a smile. It was hard for the Nephilim to actually get a good grasp of the city let alone get a regular routine going with Percy being so protective and barely letting her go out. But that didn't stop the blue haired girl from sneaking out when Percy was gone to do something nice for her.
As the Nephilim was taking a break and sipping on some water she heard a voice from behind her. The instinct of hearing you almost startled her thinking it was Percy all mad that she was lost again. But the voice sounded different and asked a question. Kayla turned to look at the person that asked the question. Her blue eyes lighting up in amazement. "Gaha. You are so cuuuuute." she blurted out. Here we go with Kayla being the airhead she is and blurting out stuff. But it was true, she thought the girl looked beautiful. With her long silver hair almost shining and what she was wore fitted her quite nice. Kayla took a step forward towards the girl. And looked at her wide eyed.
"Ahem." she cleared her throat as she was staring a bit too much... "Uhhhh ah yes your question." she paused as she looked at the girl. Instantly she smiled an innocent smile. "I dont know. I am lost. I went to go to this place that had amazing sweets...Then I got distracted and now I am here." she said with an embarrassed chuckle. It was true, she was completely lost. Not even knowing what was around her. "oooo but we can both search for it!" she said really enthusiastically as she kept smiling.

Notes: I thought it be funny to throw Kayla in here cause she gets lost all the time. So have fuuun.

anya stared blankly at the supposedly reliably navigator she had chosen. She stared blankly as the girl rambled on about how she was also lost, and how she was still willing to assist Panya in her search. That was the sum of what just happened, right? The way the girl talked was dizzying and improper. It reminded Panya too much of Everette's own way of talking, which Panya had only recently found endearing.
This girl seemed so cheerful and carefree. She was lost too and she didn't mind it? She even talked to Panya without a single trace of doubt or hostility. Did she not at all possess some sense of caution? Was she the kind to jump first before thinking, blessed with ignorance? Panya couldn't tell from one interaction. And yet, something about this girl just seemed… painfully nostalgic.
That aside, Panya had to admit, the girl's initial praise made her very delighted. To have such an eccentric yet beautiful, youthful being compliment her so was enough to make Panya blush.
But it wasn't enough to lower her guard, not yet.
"I see," Panya said eventually, crossing her arms, "I suppose it can't be helped. Let us join forces then." Two heads are better than one, as they say. It wasn't the first time Panya had to collaborate with someone, though it was definitely her first time with an outsider. Panya may not have known what kind of specimen this girl was, but she at least did not smell of death. That was enough to put the nymph a little at ease. "To start, I believe there is a trade center nearby, where they sell apparels and sustenance in the same area?" Panya wasn't sure, she was merely quoting someone else. "Perhaps we should seek this place first, maybe then this 'sweets establishment' will reveal itself."
Kayla looked at the girl still smiling as she talked. Her mind wandering off into nothingness...like usual. If it could be pictured it would be the wound up money in shown in cartoons and all that. That is how air headed she is. Barely paying attention to anything at all. The only thing she remotely found intriguing the woman in front of her with her silky silver hair and beautiful face that she couldn't stop staring at. She was almost if not as pretty as Percy... But Percy still holds her heart. If Kayla didn't have her heart set on Percy she might try to make a move on the girl. If she even could...her flirting skills were horrid maybe even beyond horrid. If she tried she would probably give finger guns and a wink...That would just be sooooo embarrassing to say the least.
Kayla looked at the girl as she finished talking. "hmmm. Why not try over there then for this place." she said as she pointed off into the distance at a neon sign lit up. It was a tattoo shop... But the neon lights were sooooooo inviting she wanted to go there. "I mean Neon lights on a store usually mean good things right?" she tilted her head as she asked the question. "OR there." as once again her attention was captured to another store near the two lost girls. This time the shop was just a restaurant that in Kayla's mind looked cool... even though it was bar with another neon sign.
"Wait where did you want to go?" she asked with a chuckle admitting to not really listing to the girl. "I was kinda just staring at you while you talked cause you are so pretty." she added as she brought up her hand and scratched her cheek nervously. It was a miracle Percy didn't throw her out yet with how stupid the girl is. It was probably because she was a great healer...her only talent. Other than that, she was useless. She was an airhead and not smart, along with trusting mostly anyone that she talked to. To say the least, she was a handfull. Wonder if this stranger had caught onto that yet? "OH, What's your name?! I'm Kayla." she smiled at the girl. "If we are going to be friends we better know each others names right." she finished as she extended a hand out to the girl with a soft smile.
