Abaia Sina Hunger is all that remains general info
appearance Standing at four feet eight inches (about one meter forty centimeters) and weighing only seventy nine pounds (about 36 kilos), Abaia is small. She was frequently mistaken for a child while still living, and that continues after her resurrection. Her skin is pale, body rectangular, and chest small. A round, slightly ovoid shape finishes off the youthful appearance. Silvery white hair that looks blue in the right lighting hangs down just past her ears, while purple eyes stare out upon the world. personality Abaia is a horrible person. She fights for herself, and nothing else. She avoids interaction, except when she wants something. But, to use a phrase, she plays with her food. Toys with them. Hurts them, taunts them. Then devours them whole. abilities Transformation: Abaia can become an eel. Before her death, this power was extraordinarily weak, along with most of her abilities. After her resurrection, however, this ability is incredibly strong and versatile. At her maximum transformed size, she is just shy of 10 feet (3 meters) long and just under 1 foot (.3 meters) tall, and weighs over a ton (930 kg). At her smallest transformed size, she is about 1'8" long (about 50 centimeters), two inches tall (about 5 centimeters), and weighs 10 pounds (4.3 kilograms). While before her death, Abaia was fully categorizable as a European Eel Shifter, after her death her transformed form is much less clear cut. While she retains the overall look of a European Eel, with a silver-green sheen and a long, roughly tubular body besides fins, she has several features not native to the Anguilla anguilla. Her mouth is filled with teeth superficially resembling those of the Fangtooth Moray Eel, but more similar to those of the Viper Moray in terms of sharpness and durability. (Basically, incredibly long and sharp teeth that look like clear glass). While fully immersed in water, and fully transformed into an eel, Abaia can sense electrical impulses, in a manner similar if not identical to that of the Electric Eel. She cannot, however, discharge electricity, like said eel, but she does quite like tasers. While in this form, Abaia does have some ability to move on land, thanks to the body of the European Eel. At her largest size, she can travel up to thirty miles per hour, though turning is hard and slow. At her smallest size, she maxes out at half a mile per hour, but can turn easily and fluidly. She can also launch herself, using a part of her body as the coil of a spring. While within the water, she can move up to three times faster than on land. Raise Dead: Abaia has zero experience with this. If she ever encounters a group of eels, it is unlikely she could successfully raise one without a serious time commitment to figure it out. Even then, she can only raise one, and for only up to an hour. Pestilence: Abaia's pestilence ability is entirely subconscious, and affected by her famine ability. Any simple-brained animals (eg bugs, mice, etc) that can experience fear, or a fight/flight response, instinctively gets away from her. Any that can experience hunger also flee, seeking to escape the pains that her power pushes outward. This affects a five foot radius around her. She has no conscious control over bugs, and while she can turn this off, she does not currently even know it exists. This ability is especially powerful against aquatic creatures. When Abaia is particularly hungry, this can affect even sentient beings, but only in a minor way. At most, they will feel slightly uncomfortable with Abaia's closeness. Given that most sensible people would feel uncomfortable around Abaia regardless of this ability, it is fairly weak. Plague: Abaia's plague miasma causes Amoebiasis. It is a weak strain, however. Only those with a compromised immune system will experience symptoms, and even then they can go up to a year of infection before symptoms begin to show. This is assuming a short exposure. Should someone be around Abaia's fully transformed state for an hour, even those with overactive (though not those with perfect) immune systems will develop symptoms in under a month. The longer the exposure, the worse the symptoms, and the sooner the onset. Twenty four hours of continuous exposure is enough to cause extreme symptoms to appear the next day, and will quickly lead to death if not treated. Exposure for forty eight hours is certain death to those not immune, as by the time the forty eighth hour has passed, the victim has nearly entirely exsanguinated themselves. Famine: Abaia's hunger defines her. She lives to appease it. It is intense. It is painful. But her aura is short while in her human form, only affecting those she touches. While in her eel form, and only while fully transformed, she affects a distance around her equal to her length. Those affected by her famine ability will be hit by a ravishing hunger. Their stomachs may churn, their abdomen may cramp. Those who have recently eaten often puke, while those who have not eaten in hours may succumb to primal urges, eating even trash to fill their stomachs. Extended exposure to Abaia's famine aura alters the affects. They fall more in line with those of starvation, rather than hunger. The feeling of raw hunger diminishes, but so does the energy of the individual. They become lethargic, and may be unable to recognize when they grow thirsty. exposure over several weeks can cause the stomach to atrophy while the abdomen distends, and muscles begin to wither. Eating food while this occurs does not affect the outcome. If exposed for long enough, the victim will die of malnutrition, even if their diet was properly portioned to provide sustainence. The affects on Abaia herself are only ever the hunger. She never develops into the starvation phase. After eating large amounts, Abaia's power turns off temporarily. She cannot willingly turn it off without eating. backstory Abaia remembers very little from her life as a shifter. She had an office job. A boyfriend. She is pretty sure they were living together, but that was a far off memory, an uncertain haze. Parents? Maybe. The last week of her life, however, she remembers in vivid details. She could never see much in the room. When the door opened, it would cast a brief moment of light. Sometimes he would bring in a flashlight. Or a lamp. Cast more of a light around the room. She could see the walls, the floor. She was in a basement, probably. The walls and floor were concrete. Cold, hard. At least she lay had a bed to lay on. No frame, no springs, but a thick mattress with soft jersey sheets. The metal bit into her ankles the first few times she walked to the bucket. She did not have to walk to it much after those times. The metal around her wrists was looser, but still held her. She would hear a knock and, if she was not already on it, run to the bed. Then the clinking would start. A few moments later, her hands would be above her head, her legs reaching towards the foot of the mattress. To different corners. "Meal time", as he called it. He would leave her a water bottle for afterwards. The first day, she had used it to wash off. Every day after she drank it all. The room had a smell. A smell that made her gag. It had smelled... empty her first day. And each day after it grew worse. The week extended. Her mouth was getting dry. The man was annoyed by that. Abaia said that she'd need some more water, some food. He pondered, and said he would think on it. The next day, be brought in two water bottles and a sponge. He helped Abaia wash, and that helped with the smell. She greedily drank the bottles when he left. It still was not enough. Abaia was barely cognizant when she died. But her undead self remembers it perfectly. She was frozen, unable to move. Her pupils dilated. Her arteries constricted as her body got hotter. As if she were sick, but suddenly, too quick to be disease. Her heart sped up, and with it her blood pressure rose. She was breathing fast, not deeply enough. Her brain was sending out signals that her body was not receiving. In the last few moments, her body spasmed. It would be the last movement she made while alive. Abaia was... surprised when she woke up. But the surprise quickly faded, as most of her memories faded. It was as if her new mindset had... eaten her old memories. It was a fitting description for how hungry she felt right now. A primal hunger, complete and absolute. The raw pain of it invaded her mind, forcing out all other thoughts. It took her a minute to regain herself. She noticed the man was in the room with her. Another meal time. How long had she been dead? Abaia bit, and her teeth were sharper than normal. Those of an eel. Abaia had a vague recollection of being an eel in her previous life. No, being a shifter. But her powers were weak, barely able to manifest. She had been effectively human. But this felt natural. Powerful. The man screamed, backing away. He was injured. She had bit straight through the feeding implement. Abaia changed more. Her legs joined together, widening, destroying everything that enclosed her body. A head formed, and it leapt forward, the next extending as it moved. The man's second scream was cut short as the large head, larger than Abaia's entire torso had been, bit into his bare chest. His body slumped as Abaia finished her transformation, breaking the wrist bands. Her new form was huge, and the strength of her transformation was... astonishing. But still the hunger overwhelmed her. So for the first time in a week, she ate. And for a brief moment, she felt full. But that joyous sensation was not one to last. misc The Abaia from before her death is essentially gone. This new Abaia is overwhelmed by the emotions and feelings of just before her death, having forgotten everything that had once made her her. | roleplayer info ☆ NAME Zee ☆ RP EXPERIENCE Since 2011 ☆ TIMEZONE Central US ☆ GENDER Male ☆ AGE 22 ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS @zee @zeethesecond @zeethethird @zeethefourth ☆ FACE CLAIM KANTAI COLLECTION, Battleship Re-Class ---------------------- THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO Zee.
