Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Memories of his time spent searching for his belonging had crossed his mind. A whole year had gone by and what had he to show for it? His memory was gone and he was utterly alone. Or at least that is what he had told himself the passed year until he had finally found the person named Umberto. It turned out his note had been hinting towards his husband that he couldn't remember marrying. In a short week he had found out that he wasn't alone, he had family right behind him that had waited for him to come back to them. His husband had been the most supportive, having taken time off work to make sure that he wasn't alone at home. His sister sometimes stops by, it seems there was some slight distance between them because he can't forgive her for not saving him when he was on the brick of death. In the back of his mind, he can't help but wonder if this happy life is really a dream or somebody playing tricks on him but the feelings remain, he cares deeply about Umberto and can't bare to run the risk of hurting him, not again.
They had remained at the house for over a week, he didn't have the desire to go outside, though he knew if he wanted a higher chance of remembering he would be forced to leave the house sooner or later, so he had requested a lunch date with Umberto at the diner. He wore a blue polo shirt with blue jeans, his shoes were black sneakers. They had walked, it gave Silas the chance to savor his time with Umberto, having his arm wrapped around Umberto's as to avoid running the risk of being ditched in the process. It wasn't that difficult to keep up with his husband, still weird calling him that, but it was easier to keep at pace with him. Plus it was comfy to have his arm wrapped around Umberto's. Once they would near the restaurant, he would reach out in an attempt to open the door for his beloved Umberto before walking into the restaurant with him.
Once inside, he waited in line with Umberto until they got seated at a table near the window. It was somewhat upsetting to have to let go of Umberto's arm to sit across from him but, seeing his face made it all the better. He found himself staring at the menu, finding it difficult to decide on what he'd like to order. If he could remember the food on the menu, it might have given him a better idea on what he ordered previously, sadly his memory didn't want to function right this moment.
Perfection remained an understatement to describe the incredible impact that the passing days held on Umberto. The wonderful return of his beloved Silas coaxed emotions of extreme happiness for the familiar, making the colours appear brighter and the world joyful. While undertones of guilt continued playing across his heart from his husband's death, they vanished when he gained the opportunity to witness his smile; although, it maintained a thorough protectiveness over him. Vacation days had been taking in a decision to remain beside his precious Silas, especially considering the man remained an amnesiac. There was that desire to compensate for the missing year, Umberto spending a majority of the time with his husband. Extreme lengths were taken towards supporting Silas, the familiar determined to assist the significant man in re-discovering the lost memories, although, today featured a pleasant concept.
Being invited to a lunch date appeared was a divine privilege for Umberto, especially since it was Silas asking him. The notion was attractive to the familiar after a year of being deprived of these romantic occasions. These little things were always missed intensely and gaining the opportunity to head to lunch with Silas was blissful. Once time arrived, Umberto changed into a simple white shirt and a pair of pale blue jeans; the casual wear was the most frequently cleaned. While the familiar desired to give a more formal impression in hopes of making Silas feel important, the formal wear had hung in the closet and accumulated dust for the year. The clothes themselves had lost value when his husband had died, resulting in improper care from the depression that lingered when he gazed upon them. The walk itself was heavenly with pleasantly cool weather and Silas' arm wrapped around his as they matched pace.
A broad grin remained on Umberto's face as they weaved down the sidewalks, heading towards the Northern section of Lorsette where a diner was stationed. While the familiar constantly found himself fretting over Silas, he was aware that his husband needed to spend time outside the plain walls of their home; there was a chance memories could be returned from these outings. An alertness remained for Umberto has he surveyed their slowly passing surroundings, the man's concerns about Silas' safety keeping top priority. As time continued, they drew closer to the diner that was the chosen location for their lunch. Glass windows covered the eating area, large and ending around the same height of the tables. They made their way towards the door, Silas grabbing to open the door. A faint blush touched the familiar's cheeks as he glanced towards his husband, affection being displayed in his deep, blue eyes.
After he entered, Silas had shortly followed where they waited in line to be seated at one of the darkly coloured tables. Once again, Umberto glanced around, taking in the entirety of the establishment. There were numerous tables and a high ceiling where lighting fixtures reached towards the table, shrouding them in light. Various pictures related towards food or the diner theme covered the walls; a usual in most eating establishments. After a few moments of waiting, they were seated near a window where his husband was unfortunately required to release his arm. Admittedly, Umberto wished his beloved could have clung to his arm longer since the pleasant feeling of his arm around his; the sense of closeness was addicting. When the menus arrived, Umberto began glancing over the choices in contemplation over what meal he could purchase. There was a pause as Umberto glanced towards Silas, grinning at his husband.
"Do you know what you're going to get, Silas?" He inquired curiously.
Since his husband was undead, eating was not required which left Umberto wondering if the man's taste in foods had changed. Should Silas not remember his former self, the familiar was determined to learn about the individual who stole his heart the moment he saw him again. They were married, and Umberto desired to live up to the vows of staying with Silas through everything.
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧
Sonya had stayed the previous night at Kaitlynn like she does so much. It was hard to stay away from the damn girl despite her dislike for her. Or love, she didn't know it was probably both. Either way she stayed there and it didn't matter why. They had a fun night going out to the bar and drinking their selves silly. Sonya needed a good night out to relax a bit from all the work she was doing. Plus she had the day off today which was so nice. So she was going to go shopping for a bit to kill sometime before going to train, then later meet up with her beloved. She was wearing a pretty big v-cut shirt with a jacket that wasn't zipped up, then some black jeans, and black shoes. Despite how she acted, she didn't mind looking fashionable from time to time.
Sonya walked down the street looking at the people that passed by, gagging internally at some of the more love birds that were out. She didn't understand being all lovey dovey with their S.O. She was more of the feisty type...throw you on a bed and handcuff you...Maybe she should do that to Kaitlynn, she thought. She kept walking putting the red sunglasses on as she passed by a building that ended the shade she was in, as the sun started to blind the exotic woman. As walked a couple more blocks and turned the corner and stopped at a crosswalk as the light was green for the cars. She started to glance around waiting for the pedestrian light to turn. She looked at the stores around her then across the street where there was diner.
Sonya looked in the diner trying to see the people in the window. When she saw a familiar figure at one of the tables. As the light changed and she started to walk across the street keeping her eyes on this person. "There's no way. That fucker got himself killed." she said to herself. As she got closer and closer the figure becoming more and more clear. Now close enough to see who it actually was. As she took her glasses off. "That motherfucker." was all she said as she was very pissed off now.
She clenched her fist as she turned and grabbed a trash can and ripped it from the ground as she took a couple steps and tossed it through the glass of the diner. She didn't care if she got cut she was way too angry. As took a stop into the diner and pulled Silas out of his seat and into the street. "You fucker you suppose to be dead!" as she pinned him to the glass that isn't broken. "YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO BE DEAD!" she yelled at him and shaking him. "What the fuck. Im gunna kill you myself now." she said again not even being able to grasp the fact that Silas was alive. The only other person she was close to other than Kaitlynn. She trained the damn kid and he became like a little brother to her. She couldn't believe he was alive and that he wouldn't tell her.
Silas was fully aware that he didn't have to eat if he didn't want to, it was just, he craved a date with his husband and though he couldn't remember being married to him, he felt determined to try and make him happy. He was stuck in his thoughts when Umberto had asked him a question. "No." He continued staring at the menu. I don't remember what I used to eat and I don't know any of these items... He was stuck on the menu when it had happened, the window had shattered when the trash can had been thrown through the window. His arm went up just as the trash can hit him. He grabbed the trash can, pushing it off of table just to be grabbed through the broken window, dragged out. What is going on? Who is she? I want her to let me go....
Sonya seemed to clear up his questions when she made the comment about him being dead. Somebody I knew from my past and can't remember.... got it. Sonya had pinned him against a window that wasn't broken. The lady started shaking him. "Let... let... me go." The plea was hopeful but when she threatened to kill him, he couldn't help but start feeling somewhat fearful. His eyes closed, debating on what exactly he could do to free himself from her grip. The shadow teleport could work, he would just need to focus so that he could slip through the shadows to free himself from her grip. He struggled slightly before desiring the shadows to let him fall through it, freeing himself the lady's grip. A second later, he would appear from the shadows farther along the building.
"I was dead, but I'm not dead." Silas answered, figuring she might have some answers to his questions. "Who are you?" If she planned on being violent, he would just avoid her, the last thing he wanted to do was fight a girl.
There was an infinite smile drawn on Umberto's lips as he stared at Silas with a joyful gleam to his blue eyes. After missing these moments with his husband for an entire year, this single day felt incredible, although, nothing could top when they got married. The nervous excitement from vowing himself to his hero always out ruled any glorious events. Moments with Silas were always amazing, the familiar finding difficulty keeping his eyes on his menu; there was a sublime view of his husband distracting him. Beyond perfection, that was definitely his husband's wondrous appearance that consistently captured his eyes in lingering stares. The personality beneath kept Umberto devoted to Silas, the man proving his care time and time again. A gentle chuckle escaped Umberto's throat as he set the menu aside, his decision already made as he continued watching Silas.
"I could tell you what you liked eating before," Umberto said. "Heck, maybe it will help you remember."
While it was a stretch, the familiar was willing to suggest any possibilities that could result in the return of Silas' memories. There were numerous important events that Umberto desired his husband to remember, especially the ones revolving around his sister and their relationship. Evelyn was his master, thus her happiness was important just as Silas' was. There were a few more moments passed until the smashing of glass hit Umberto's delicate ears. The window smashed, a trashcan sailing through and hitting his husband which already made the familiar flinch. The metallic trashcan landed on the table with a thud before being pushed off, Umberto only glancing towards it for a moment. Afterwards, his eyes flitted towards the freshly smashed glass before grimacing at the sighting. Through the broken glass was an exotic figure, her unique appearance immediately allowing for Umberto to distinguish her as Sonya.
Before the male familiar gained the opportunity to move, Silas was dragged out the window and pinned. Hastily, Umberto rose to his feet, rushing towards the window and jumping through it with a graceful ease. Despite years of being out of the TRS, the blue-haired man could still accomplish simple movements with ease. Inside, people were panicking, unaware of the truth in the situation unfolding. Listening to Silas' plea for release made Umberto's heartthrob as he reached out to roughly grab Sonya's arm. There was an anger settling as the male familiar realized that Sonya was frightening his husband; HE WAS NOT ALLOWING THIS!
"YOU BETTER LET HIM GO, SONYA! OR I FUCKING SWEAR I WILL BE KICKING YOUR ASS!" Umberto shouted.
There was extreme anger as Umberto attempted to get Sonya to release his husband, but shortly panic arrived when Silas because disappearing into the wall. Concern immediately entered the fray of emotions, the male familiar watching as Silas vanished from the area. A few moments were spent staring before Umberto shot a glare at Sonya, but before he could speak he heard Silas. The sensitive ears that the bear familiar possessed allowed for him to realize that Silas was still in the area. It was a relieving fact, making a portion of the panic fade, however, Sonya was likely still angry; this was going to be a long, painful day.
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

Sonya stared a Silas with her odd colored eyes. Granted everything about her was odd, her skin color and eyes to be exact. Her eyes shifted from a more human eye to that of a snake in her fit of rage. The iris tuning into a that of a snakes. As she held him against the wall, yelling and asking all these questions. The people on the streets seemed terrified of the blue skin girl as they either all froze in place or scurried away in fear. As Umberto followed suit out the window and started to yell at her. She glanced at Umberto with a death glare. Not even saying a word, letting her glare do the talking, in which it read, Shut it or I will rip out your throat... To say the least, Sonya was royally pissed off.
As her grip on the poor man started to loosen as she turned her attention back to her surrogate lil-brother. As he was gone in a mere second. She stumbled forward a bit gaining her balance after he had vanished. Sonya glanced around trying to find the damn worm until he had appeared again. He said he was dead but not dead which made no sense to the girl of course as he then asked who she was. She took a couple steps forward as her glare was now looking at Silas once more. "I was in your damn squad before you went off and got yourself killed. You were like a little brother to me. A little brother who is going to get their ass beat back to death right now." she answered him as she cracked her knuckles as she kept stepping forward towards the man.
"And you, you fucking bear shitbag." she said to Umberto, as her gaze shifted to him for a second. "You will be after since you didn't say shit that he was alive." as her eyes almost started to glow as the sun had shined just right giving the yellow tint to her eyes an even more menacing look. Despite being a snake familiar and snakes not being the best to do combat with in that form, she had trained her body in a enough martial arts to combat even the most skilled enemies.
Silas glanced towards Umberto when he noticed the menu being set on the table. He couldn't help but smile when Umberto offered to tell him what he liked eating prior. "I'd like that." He honestly felt happier when Umberto had offered, though he knew he didn't have to eat, he wanted to spend time with his husband and it wouldn't be much fun if his husband got stuck eating without him. Besides, the taste of food was still tasty to him even though he wasn't required to eat. He had been too distracted by the trash can hitting him and being pulled out through the window to notice Umberto's reaction towards him getting attacked. He found himself staring at Sonya, not noticing Umberto rush out the window to try and help him gain freedom. He had used shadow teleportation to gain his freedom, After asking his question, Sonya had turned to face him, answering his question which made him even more confused.
"Squad?" He took in a breath, I've never believed myself to be apart of AP but for me to be apart of a squad, she must be talking about TRS. He thought to himself, "From TRS?" He would ignore the fact that she threatened him for now. He frowned when she called Umberto a bear shitbag, it had been a rude comment and he wasn't going to stand by and allow her to rudely talk to him. "I was dead, barely found by him a week ago... Have you ever lost your memory? It is sort of hard to tell people your alive when you don't know who the fuck you can trust...." He was angry, angry that she had threatened Umberto when he didn't have anything to do with his death, or the fact that he was once again alive. "Don't get upset with him for not telling you about finding me alive. Don't attack him, else I won't forgive you. Surely you will give mercy if you found me to be like a little brother." He would gladly face her, but he wasn't going to give her permission to hurt somebody that he had feelings for.
Now to bring up the comment that she had mentioned before, "I thought when one is alive, one is supposed to be happy over having a desire to kill them all over again..." He paused, "However, I hope your rain check my death, I had a purpose for coming back and I'd like to remember it before I go again."
There was nothing that could cease Umberto's actions towards protecting Silas from his infuriated former mentor; the woman was always infamous for her intense anger. Their wonderful lunch date had been ruined by Sonya discovering that Silas was alive. Was she required to suddenly act out in a fit of rage?! The death glare was brushed aside, the male familiar receiving numerous throughout his childhood that provided a more severe menace behind them. Defending Silas was of the utmost importance, HE WAS NOT GOING TO LOSE HIM AGAIN! After spiraling down into the darkest pits of his depression, the blue-haired man wanted to avoid returning at all costs. Which meant protecting Silas from the out of control TRS sergeant who appeared keen on rueing their wonderful morning. At the mentioning of sending his husband back to the afterlife, a growl crawled out of Umberto's throat, with a distinct bear-like tone.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING TOUCH HIM!" He yelled at Sonya.
The rude comment lacked sting towards the male familiar; his father had provided dozens of horribly insulting names. There was nobody more frightening than the abusive alcoholic who haunted his early years. Their verbal wars that gradually transformed into one-sided physical disputes where Umberto always remained on the victim side, feebly attempting to squirm away to safety. As the menacing countenance of Sonya glanced towards him, the former hunter maintained a brave face as he matched her gaze. There was a glimmer of determination in his eyes, the duties of being a familiar entering him as he remembered his promises to Silas. He would protect him and after failing his responsibility once, Umberto refused to have Silas get injured again. Those lonely feelings were forbidden from returning, even if there were wounds that could arrive. A few steps were taken forward, the familiar's eyes flitting around to make certain the proximity was proper.
Once the distance was closed, a translucent blue hemisphere surrounded him and Sonya, attempting to place them into a dome. Reaching Silas first would be difficult, thus the male familiar instead opted to trap himself in with the potential threat. The bear familiar glanced towards the exotic woman, eyes flitting around to the shocked and frightened faces outside the blue hemisphere. They fixated on Sonya as he hoped she would get captured within the walls of his shield; it was the only way to protect Silas from her fury.
"Sorry, but I was busy ENJOYING that my husband came back," Umberto began. There were hints of anger inside his voice. "Also, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HURT MY HUSBAND!"
The determination remained in Umberto's eyes, his confidence in combat slightly hindered from the year of absence in the TRS, however, he needed to protect his husband. The year of wandering around earth had yet to be given proper explanation, the bear familiar undercertain if Silas had obtained experience in fighting since his amnesia.
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧
Sonya watched the two, her glowing yellowish eyes just peering at the two not caring about any others in the vicinity. She was too angry to care. Thankfully Kaitlynn wasn't here to calm her down. Mostly cause Kaitlynn would probably scold her very badly. And Sonya hated being scolded by Kaitlynn. Plus she didn't want to calm down. The only way she would calm down if she could at least give Silas a good punch to the face, same with Umberto. Or if Kaitlynn was here. She would calm down a lot. Mostly cause Kaitlynn knows how to clam her down. In fact she may be the only one to know how to clam Sonya down.
Sonya watched as Silas started to talk about loosing memory and all that. And then telling her not to get upset with Umberto for not saying anything. Well she had the right too considering she tried to help Umberto go through with the pain of loosing him. Then went MIA. Like right there was an asshole move. So she wanted to revenge for that. And then to beat them up cause she was too pissed not to. She was too pissed in general to even respond to both of them. She just wanted to crack some skulls.
Sonya watched as Umberto stepped forward and surrounded them in a dome. She was too pissed to noticed the dome being sent out and surrounding the two. It was like she had blinders on. And those blinders only had Silas in her view. When she finally noticed it was too late and she was trapped inside with the bear familiar. She looked around as the blue aura surrounded them. "Well this was stupid of you." she sighed as she looked at him with her yellow eyes. "You got some nerve though which is good." she added as she looked at him.
She took a deep breath like she was ready to attack but didn't. All she did was sit down and place her arms resting on her knees. "You can't keep this shield up for ever." she said as she looked at Umberto. "Let it go and leme give a good haymaker to that fuckers face then I'll leave." she said as she looked at Umberto. He should know by now if he didn't agree to that. Things would get very ugly. And either she was going to die to at least give Silas a good hay maker and have Kaitlynn's wrath haunt them later. Or she would stay in the dome until both of them die. It was up to him.
Before Silas had to a chance to explain that he had been with Umberto for only a week, Umberto had closed the distance between him and Sonya placing them in a dome. He remained quiet, trying to figure out how he would go about getting in there with him. "UMBERTO, LET ME IN.... DON'T DO THIS... IT ISN'T YOUR FAULT..." He didn't want Sonya hurting Umberto just because he was wanting to protect him. "He only found me a week ago.... that may seem like a long time to you but.... being alone for however long prior to my death is sooo much longer...." He paused, hearing a noise coming from the side of him. The sound of metal clashing together, he knew that noise from anywhere and he wasn't about to be caught by that thing. Umberto and Sonya would be safe in the dome but him, it was like he was calling out to the Terror as a higher target. Damn it.... He slowly backed away from the dome and the Terror heading towards him. "Nevermind... keep it up..." The Terror was moving closer to him, he fell into his own shadow just before it could attack him.
I hate these things.... soooooo much. He came out from another shadow, a few feet away from the Terror. I need to remember who I was before this... Citizens were rushing out of diner, trying to get as far away from that Terror as much as possible. He could hear crying from nearby, but found himself looking around until he spotted the kid that was scared in his place. He had a choice, either run away, or save the kid... He couldn't bring himself to leave, a small tug was keeping him from leaving. I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but here is a shot. He fell into the shadow, the purpose of going into the ground where the kid was crouching. When he came out of the shadow, he reached out to yank the kid into his arms, falling through the shadows again just as the Terror was about to slash out. That was close.... He came out from another shadow, farther away from the Terror. To his dismay, it turned around and noticed him, rushing towards his direction.
The blue hemisphere closed around Umberto and his fellow familiar. The translucent colour allowing them to glimpse at the outside world. People passed, gazing momentarily at the spectacle of his impromptu cage. Already, energy was gradually draining from the male familiar as he maintained the shield; he wished Silas and himself had managed to complete lunch prior to this exchange. The former hunter was hungry, his desire to enjoy the foods of the dinner growing. He kept his breathing tamed, focus set on keeping himself and Sonya trapped within the hemisphere. There was uncertainty to the duration of time Umberto could continue powering the shield, but he would protect his precious Silas from the brutal fists of his former mentor. The criticism towards his intelligence was of little surprise to Umberto, the man long adjusting to the sharp tongue of the snake familiar.
The threat was stated, Sonya, mentioning her desire to bring harm to his husband. There was a slight flinch from Umberto, the familiar being aware he could manage the shield for an extensive length of time. He provided no response, the man pausing until hearing the yelling of his husband. Slowly, his eyes moved to glance at his lover, his heart fluttering from merely seeing him. There was that significant individual he promised to protect, Silas, the man he loved with all his heart. Those perfect looks and charming personality; despite the amnesia, Umberto still adored him entirely. Everything the man accomplish was wonderfully endearing. A deep breath was taken, the familiar's resolve increasing intensely. Determination glimmered in his blue eyes as he realized the shield could not fall. Hastily, his eyes flitted back towards Sonya to respond.
"I DON'T CARE IF IT IS STUPID! I CARE ABOUT SILAS AND I AM NOT LETTING YOU HURT HIM AT ALL!" He exclaimed, the determination transferring into his words.
Once the sentence was completed, his blue eyes returned to Silas as he provided a weak smile. Depending on the intensity of Sonya's anger, there was a possibility that haymaker's ownership was altered. While he stared, Umberto mouthed I'm sorry to his husband, signifying the possibility of injury. Moments passed in silence while the bear familiar felt his power draining even despite his enhanced stamina. His ears remained attentive to listen to more of Silas' defence for Sonya to avoid harming him, although, he did not believe it would assist the situation. The quiet progressed until the events continued with a bang, Umberto's eyes opening wide as screaming and noise filled the air. Immediately, his eyes darted around, glancing through the shield to notice his husband being attacked by a terror.
"SILAS!" He shouted, the translucent shield deteriorating instantly.
He witnessed as Silas teleported, bringing a child through the shadows to avoid injury. The terror turned, growls leaving its mouth as it prepared to charge. Instinctively, Umberto ran forward, grabbing a loose brick set aside in the alleyway. Summoning his superior strength, the bear familiar hurled the object towards the terror in a desperate attempt to divert its attention. Although, his lacking in energy would lower the blow; another reason he wished lunch had not been interrupted.
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

Sonya looked at Umberto, sizing him up. She had spared with him plenty of times back before Silas vanished. So she knew strength wise, she was a huge disadvantage. But at the same time, he couldn't land a clean hit due to how flexible she was thanks to her snake abilities. It wouldn't be too hard to get behind him and inject him with enough poison to just make him pass out but not kill him. Despite her lean figure, the exotic woman did have quite a bit of muscle. Hence why most people in her squad were afraid of her. The only ones that weren't were Kaitlynn and Silas. Which is why it was pitiful to see him like this and the fact she has to smack some sense into the man. When Umberto yelled at her yet again she just looked up at him not saying anything but just staring at him seeing if she would have the opportunity to get out of this this damn cage.
That is when the screams starting happening as she looked around as she stood back up and looked around seeing a terror going after Silas. "Good maybe that thing will do it for me." she scoffed as Silas vanished into the shadows like he did before. As Umberto let down the cage to try and help Silas. As the brick hit the terror Sonya looked at the disgusting thing and just sighed heavily. She reached behind her grabbed the dagger she usually has hidden in her jeans. As she pulled it out she twirled it in her hands. "So disappointing you sorry excuse for a familiar." she said as she kicked Umberto to the side. As she ran over and jumped at the terror and sunk the dagger into the eye of the terror. As the terror screamed out in pain. As Sonya was kicked off the terror, and onto the ground. She landed with a thud on the pavement. As Sonya looked at the terror. The full attention of the damn thing on her. The terror went to attack her with a swipe that she dodged easily then in a fluid motion kicking the knife that was still in it's eye the rest of the eye through it's skull. The terror slumped down lifeless on the ground.
As she looked at Silas. "You really aren't even worth the effort anymore." she said as she walked over to him. "You are weak now and skittish. You are worthless now. Go back to the hole you crawled out off" she said as she looked at Umberto. "If you don't toughen him up. You will loose him again." she said with no emotion. She was done with them. She didn't want anything to do with them anymore. Seeing how he acted proved that to her. Even with the memory loss, doesn't change the face that Silas was soft now. Which she hated with every fiber of her being. She didn't train the little shit to be soft and weak. As she sighed at the situation. As she grabbed out her phone and called the TRS HQ telling them of the attack and they need a clean up crew along with better surveillance. As she started to walk off yelling into the phone at the poor person on the other side of the line.
Silas watched Umberto pick up a brick and throw it towards the Terror. Then next thing he knew, Sonya had withdrawn a dagger, disrespected his husband and had attacked the Terror. He couldn't help but watch in wander when she had attacked the Terror, killing it gruesomely. He turned the child away so that it wouldn't see the death of the Terror. Once the Terror was dead, he found himself staring at Sonya again. Hurt by her comment. What is she saying that I was braver before? He thought to himself, thinking it was possible felt somewhat familiar. Did my memory make me fearful of those damn things? He slowly released the child from his grip. A crowd had gathered and the mother of the child had her arms open, waiting for them to come to her before carrying them away, tears in her eyes. He slowly walked back towards Umberto, not ever wanting a shield to come between them again, he could have been harmed and it would have been all of his fault for making Sonya angry at him in the first place. She was busy yelling into the phone, the words of him being worthless had stuck into his head.
"Having memory loss, doesn't make me worthless!" He shouted at her, counting on her to be in earshot to hear him. "I'll show you that I'm not worthless!" He wasn't sure why he felt a great need to prove it to her, but saving that child had felt great even though he mostly fled away from the Terror. My new found powers.... I need to figure them out so that I can help out others. He had no idea where Sonya trained him prior but he had a pretty good idea. Who would oppose those Terrors, the TRS of course. "Umberto, is she talking about the TRS?" He whispered, wanting to confirm that answer before deciding that is where they'd be going. Of course lunch was important too but, if it meant possibly getting his memory back, he was sooooooo ready to have that memory of his back right now so that he could move on with life. Unaware of the real reason behind his memory loss in the first place. "Then if it is okay with you, a different restaurant, away from window...." He mumbled, not wanting Umberto to run the risk of being hit by a flying object, even though this last time it had happened to him.
Suddenly, Umberto's heart dropped as he realized how useless he became in the situation. Expending his powers attempting to protect Silas from Sonya left him in this hopeless position, his heart palpitating in worry. Being retired from the TRS left him weaker than expected; when his husband died he could not find the motivation to continue his training. The male familiar became desperate, already debating rushing forward to protect Silas. Death on his part was fine, but there was no possible way he was going through the torment of losing Silas again! Most of his ability revolved around pulling back a heavy bowstring and sending arrows sailing through the air, but he possessed no weaponry. The comment that Sonya made began generating anger, a sudden kick colliding with his side.
The bear familiar's enhanced endurance to a minimal, but he nonetheless flinched while Sonya continued forward. Naturally, the sergeant was capable of defeating the terror, Umberto's eyes glancing towards the ground in shame. He promised to protect his husband, yet, he lacked the ability to properly defend him. What was his worth if Silas could meet his demise from his pathetic lack of ability? After already dying to the hands of the Assembly of Phantoms, his lover did not deserve a similar fate; he deserved someone who could protect him. The claws of Umberto's inner sorrows tore into him, the familiar quietly staring at the sidewalk while contemplating his own worth, his mind insisting this moment to be another of his many failures. He nearly lost his precious husband because of his own pathetic ability. When the sharp words of Sonya's criticism reached him, he flinched.
"SHUT UP ALREADY!" He snapped at Sonya, attempting to avoid anymore realization.
Defending himself was pointless, Umberto already aware of the truth captured in the words she stated. When Silas approached, the familiar's blue eyes fixated on him before glancing away guiltily; he failed to protect him. Instead of shielding his husband from the danger, he had been forced to rely on the abilities of another individual. The whispered was responded to with a tepid nod, Umberto refusing to gaze towards Silas as guilt started making him feel queasy; how could he not defend Silas? When the offer to seek a new restaurant was offered, a soft sigh escaped Umberto's mouth.
"... Can we just go home? I'm not hungry anymore," he mumbled. "... If you still want to eat out, you can find someone who is worth more trouble."
While he loved Silas immensely, he felt those chains constricting him as his inner demons tortured his mind. Wordlessly, he turned away with plans to walk home instead of remain here. The only desire Umberto held was to lay down in hopes everything would magically blow over and possibly resort to medication as needed.
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

Sonya kept yelling into the phone as the two behind her kept talking, mostly ignoring them because she found no worth in them anymore. Silas with his memory less is much weaker and more skittish. Umberto is out right disappointing at this point. Maybe she should have never given up on him when he was down and out after Silas died. Maybe he wouldn't be so pathetic. After a couple more yells into the phone she hung up. The TRS would be here shortly to clean up the mess. She already knew that she would be in trouble for breaking the window and causing a scene. But what can you do? She has anger issues.
She walked past the two former TRS agents completely ignoring them. As she walked up to the cafe and asked to see the owner. As she talked about the repairs with him, telling the owner that she would cover the costs of the repairs and that she is truly sorry. Despite the immense anger Sonya holds within her. She can put on a pretty good act of acting sorry. It was mostly just appearances for the TRS so she wouldn't cause any trouble...or any more. But still it was impressive how she could just put on a mask and act.
As she finished talking to the owner she looked at the two. "If I see you two again I wont let you off so easily." she said as she walked past them and elbowing Silas pretty hard as she bumped passed the two and squeezing her way through the crowd that had built up. It was her only day off this week, and now she had to go in to do paper work of all things. Man this day just couldn't get any worse. She thought as she violently passed by the crowd and out. Walking down the sidewalk heading for HQ.
