Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Alice went down the rabbit's hole, when she returned she'd forgotten who she was.
❝
It was early evening on a hot summer night. Alice was kicking it back in the Rose Grove Cemetery just sitting atop of a rather tall tombstone. The blonde spirit had really nothing better to do. As she sat there, kicking her legs back and forth, the sky became darker and the full moon rose up into the sky to take its place after the sun had set. From what she knew, it had become a popular rumor around town among school kids that if you went to the cemetery before midnight, you would see the ghost of a young girl in a black and white dress wandering around. Of course, there were talking about none other than Alice herself. This all started one day about a year ago. She was hanging around the cemetery in the evening as usual when some primary school kids snuck in looking to make trouble. Hoping to entertain herself, Alice took her spirit form which gave her a more ghostly appearance and began humming eerily. The kids got spooked and ran away screaming after seeing her, ever since that, students from the high school and middle school started to frequent the cemetery just to confirm the rumor going around. Well, not like she could complain, scaring those brats was fun and was a good way to kill time. She wondered if anyone would show up tonight. Some nights no one ever came which made things boing for the carefree spirit.
Layla was bored out of her mind, and rocked by insomnia. Maybe those two factors were why she found herself in the cemetery for literally no reason, since no one she knew was buried in this specific one. Maybe it was because of those rumors passed around by naive kids and teens that sparked her interest whilst she was browsing the internet. And really, what else did she have to do? Harass her ex more? Just the thought made the vampire laugh, her deep red gaze flickering around the cemetery as she stepped in.
Her nice summer dress flowed off her body, giving Layla an aura of innocence as she roamed among the gravestones without much care in the world. Even the vampire's hair was styled in a bouncier bob than usual, and with that unique color, she really looked like something.
Every so often, the vampire would run her hand along a gravestone, satisfaction filling her as the rough rock scrapped at her fingers. As she was doing it a final time, Layla raised her gaze at the moment she was doing so - only to be met with a girl, sitting on a tombstone down the row. How Layla didn't notice her before was a mystery to her, but, the vampire barely reacted. She'd wait for the ghost to notice her, and then, maybe things could get interesting.

As she sat atop the tombstone, waiting for whoever to come, a young-looking woman with a white summer dress with short purple hair, came through, upon noticing the visitor, Alice took on her spirit form, appearing more ghostly and began to hum. Judging from the girl's actions, it seemed she was waiting for Alice to notice her. Meaning she wouldn't be easily scared off. So, it was time to start phase 2. Alice stood up on top of the tombstone and took off flying towards the purple haired girl. "Hello, what brings you here on this night?" she said inquiring the girl. Alice wondered how this person would respond, most people ran away scared upon seeing her. So, this girl intrigued the blonde ghost.
