Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Alice went down the rabbit's hole, when she returned she'd forgotten who she was.
❝
It was a few short hours before the sun would rise over the horizon. The time of dawn was fast approaching as a young looking blonde girl stood by the water's edge on Starlight Beach, her feet buried in the squishy cool sand. Small waves washed over them, dragging little bits of sand into the ocean as the tides receded. The blonde haired girl just stared out at the horizon with her bright green emerald eyes. As she did so, she hummed the tune of "London Bridge is Falling Down" softly to herself. However, her humming echoed around her in the vast soulless space around her. Only she stood on the beach, not a single other person was around and it almost made her feel like the world was still and unchanging
As her song finished, the sun had began to rise and Alice decided to go for a swim. She shed out of her gown, tossing it slightly further away from the water, she took off running into the sea, and dove right in. When she opened her eyes, she was under the waves and it was colorful, fish of all kinds swam by and around her, a colorful array of coral and sea plants. She was in awe no matter how many times she saw this sight. Alice soon swam up, surfacing above the water with a splash, her long blonde locks soaked, as she floated above the water momentarily before she dove back in and swam back to shore. She stepped out of the water and onto the sand that had now been warmed up by the rays of the sun. Alice rung the extra water out of her hair to the best of her ability. Obviously, she couldn't put her gown back on with her being all wet so, the blonde decided to allow the sun to dry her off before getting dressed again. She just hoped no one would find her and report her for public nudity. As she waited to get dry, she once started to hum "London Bridge is Falling Down".
Leon woke up that morning actually excited for the day. It was the first time he was closing the clinic and having his own little holiday since he had started it, and feeling the freedom of getting to wake up on his own terms and do what he wanted was truly liberating. And today, his plans were focused on Starlight Beach, another place he had never had the chance of visiting, aside from the one time the nephilim had gone to the lighthouse there.
[break][break] Dressing up in his favorite trunks (a pair that cracked him up every fucking time), he finished the look with a simple black t-shirt. Leon was determined to beat the crowds - since he really didn't want to deal with stupid people that day - so he set off before dawn, set on getting there as fast as he could. He was so desperate to get that that he even brought out his wings, with the nephilim's eyes flashing green as those familiar dark grey wings sprouted from his back in a flurry of feathers. Wincing at the soft amount of pain that hit him from the sudden change, Leon could feel a slight amount of hesitation building up in him. It was true that the doctor really fuckin' hated his wings, but in this moment, it was better than nothing. With a deep breath, those wings raised, before slamming through the air as he leaped. In a second, he was flying for the first time in months.
[break][break] Soaring through the air comfortably, the brunette allowed the cool night breeze to run across his body, ruffling his hair and tugging at his shirt every so often. Every so often, he would glance down at Lorsette, the now quieter city still having a slight bustle within it. Seeing the lights below him gave him a feeling of nostalgia from all the other times he flew, except with Des. Just the thought made the nephilim's mood drop, a scowl finding it's way onto his face. Luckily, Leon was already almost at the beach.
[break][break] Landing as quickly as he could, Leon was ready to put away his wings, take off his shirt, and go for a nice dip. That was until he actually looked around him, and noticed another person standing nearby. The doctor was completely ready to be nice and friendly, maybe even spark a little conversation, until he noticed something.
[break][break] She was naked. And, humming something?
[break][break] Now, Leon was typically rather logical. As much as a noncommittal fuckboy as he was, he could usually handle things in this case pretty well. But the thing was, the brunette wasn't prepared nor drunk enough to deal with this. That caused a flurry of questions to flow through his mind, each leading to one answer - talking to her to find out. Forgetting all about his wings and the fact he was wearing ridiculous trunks, Leon readied himself to speak.
[break][break] "So, I'm guessing you came for a night swim too?" Good. Yes, a good start to this...strange interaction.

Alice went down the rabbit's hole, when she returned she'd forgotten who she was.
❝
As Alice stood there by sea shore, basking in the rays of the morning sun, humming the tune she always did, she could hear the sound of wings flapping in the distance, as the sound grew closer and close the young phantom girl paid it no mind. She looked behind her out of the corner of her eye to see a human-like figure with large grey wings on their back, land not too far from where she stood in the sand. She continued to look out at the horizon, pretending not to notice, until they called out to her. Once she had been addressed, she spun around to face them. The majority of her breasts being covered by her long blonde pigtails. Being dead, Alice had no real reason to feel embarrassed or shy or anything else. This world's rules didn't apply to the departed such as herself. She simply smiled, meeting the man's gaze. "Hmmm... I guess you could say that, I was allowing the sun to dry before putting my clothes back on." she said nonchalantly as she raised her arm, examining to see if its was still wet. It seemed her skin was all dry but her hair was still a bit damp. "Are you here for a swim?" even though it was obvious with his attire, she felt like messing with him a bit. While she waited for him to respond, she walked a bit closer to him, and picked up her dress she'd tossed down earlier when she went swimming. Alice slipped it on over her head, pulled her hair out from inside then zipped it up. She could tell he was obviously nervous finding some strange girl butt naked on the beach first thing in the morning. "That better?" she asked him in an innocent yet slightly mocking tone.
As much as Leon liked to say he was the ultimate ladies man, getting love from everyone and handling everything so calmly, it was in that moment that he short-circuited. Even his awkward attempt to start a conversation made the twenty-one year old subconsciously flinch. Trying to keep his eyes in the sky, the nephilim listened closely for a response. Snapping his gaze down briefly just to meet hers (and not go any lower no no no), Leon nodded his flushed face in agreement. "I-I mean, pretty logical reasoning. I guess I'm intruding by appearing here." The typically calm facade the brunette constantly put on had faded completely in front of that random girl, as he desperately tried to figure out how to get out of there or control himself. Both seemed like they were completely unattainable for the man, who felt like he was dragged back into the hormonal days of puberty.
[break][break] "Y-yeah, but, I think I'm gonna wait awhile and watch the sun." He rubbed the back of his neck and put on a rather sheepish smile. Poking the ground with his foot, Leon now directed his gaze towards the ground after quickly looking at the girl again - in the eyes, and only the eyes. At the sound of footsteps, the brunette froze up, actually scared to even look up. But, thanks to his decent hearing, he heard the rustle of fabric, and when he looked back up, the girl was clothed.
[break][break] A sigh of relief escaped Leon, who still had completely forgotten about his big wings still awkwardly hanging from his back. "At least I can look you in the eyes now." Finally, an actual smile fell over the brunette's features as his tense muscles relaxed. For awhile there, he was scared his junk would get the better of him.

The man seemed relieved that she was now clothed but this only made it more fun to mess with him. Saying he could finally look her in the eyes. Alice giggled for a moment before turning transparent then went back to her physical form. "Well, as one of the dead and somewhat departed, it really doesn't bother me to be seen in the nude..." She said pausing for a moment to gaze down at his rather odd swim trunks to see a bulge, which caused the spirit to blush. "Although it seems to be rather troublesome for you, doesn't it Sir?" She said, using her gaze to signal what she saw. After saying that, she got a smug look on her face as to show her amusement from seeing his reactions. Without thinking, she began floating mid-air as she leaned back, holding her stomach and laughing. "Sorry, I didn't mean to demean you, I just found it rather amusing, never met a bloke quite like you since I got to this place so I could't help it. My name's Alice. What's yours?" She said as she floated in to close the distance between them. She was now practically in his face, still floating in mid-air.
Leon Brantley ● keep in mind she has a very noticeable british accent, one you would hear from someone who lived in England during WW2 ● word count
Tilting his had to the side, hearing the whole 'dead' part of her sentence made curiousity spike through him. Wait, this girl was a ghost? 'How do I find myself in these situations...' Leon thought to himself with a furrow of his brow. First he was an accomplice to a bank heist, then treating a murderer, and now he's talking to a ghost and getting a little too excited. "That's actually pretty cool. Out of everything, I've never met a ghost." He spoke rather casually, everything seeming to have calmed down in him. At least, until she pointed out her bulge and...blushed? Ghosts could blush?
[break][break] Quickly shielding his junk, he could feel his entire face growing red. "H-hey! I didn't look at you anywhere, so y-you don't get to look at me!" Leon hadn't been this flustered in so long that it truly pained him. Trying as hard as he could to think of things that would make it go down, the brunette squeezed his eyes shut and concentrated to the best of his ability. Finally, thinking of angels made it go down.
[break][break] Just as he opened his eyes again, the girl began speaking again in an accent he caught onto rather fast. 'British, huh...nice.' It was another quick thought that made the poor man's face flush again right before he responded. "Yeah yeah, I sure don't find it amusing." Jokingly, Leon narrowed his green eyes at her, watching her float towards him and float insanely close to him. "I'm Leon." The brunette muttered out, not finding any need to speak louder - she was right in his face, after all. Maybe it didn't help that crimson still dusted his cheeks.

The man seemed surprised by the fact she was a ghost. When she signaled at his bulge, he got immediately flustered and complained at her, mentioning how he didn't stare at her naughty bits before. So what? She was a ghost, it was of no real consequence to her. She simply shrugged and giggled. He gave his name as Leon. "Pleasure to meet you Leon." Alice gave Leon a curtsy while floating in mid-air. Taking notice of the large grey wings on his back, she decided to ask him about it. Despite knowing what those dark colored wings meant. "What kind of being are you Leon? Certainly, you can't be human, are you an angel of some sort?" He was clearly a nephilim, a being born of an angel and human union, since coming to Lorsette, she had met a few on these beings. At first she'd mistaken them for angels but was corrected rather coldly. She wasn't sure if she'd get the same reaction from him but one thing was for certain, she'd found an interesting new toy to play with. How long could she get entertainment out of before it broke. It would be fun to find out.
Leon really didn't like the feeling of having no idea what was going on. He just wanted to go to the beach for a dip! But now, he was talking to a ghost that kinda turned him on by being naked of all things, and now she was proceeding to just, make fun of him for being a man. It wasn't his fault she just turned up naked in front of him! And, the girl was no weirdly close to him, which, to an extent, freaked him out a little. More like a lot. It was not the fact she was a ghost either - it was simply the fact she was an attractive girl that he had just seen naked that made the nephilim nervous.
[break][break] Shoving his glasses up as they began slipping off, a small smile found it's way on his face as she responded in a British accent, which he finally took notice of. "Don't know how much of a pleasure it can be, miss Alice." Leon muttered, still viciously flustered about what had just occurred. The twenty-one-year-old never messed up to that degree, and it was almost annoying to be in this mess of a situation. But, maybe something good would come from it? Maybe?!
[break][break] At the mention of angels, Leon felt his blood run cold. Quickly making his wings poof away, the nephilim's entire face scrunched up, and a scowl pulled down the corners of his lips. "Nope. I'm a neph, thank ya." A little bit of anger edged into his voice. Leon rarely lost his cool, except when it came to those damn angels that he could not stand. Running his hand through his hair - a nervous habit he did quite a lot - he tried his best to bring down his emotions. "So uh, what brings you to the beach." The twenty-one-year-old asked rather awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Leon's apparent flustered state was highly amusing by itself. He seemed to be the type to wear his heart on his sleeve making him easy to read. At the ghost's inquiry about what he was, Leon's face went dark for a split moment as he answered coldly and with a hint of anger. At the same time, he made his wings go poof. Alice was so tempted to laugh at his response because it amused her so, however, if she was too mean, her toy might get away, and she couldn't let that happen, now could she? "My apologies Sir. I didn't mean to offend." That was a blatant lie but not an apparent one. He'd have to be fairly intuitive to see that. "I came to take a swim. Underwater is quite a sight to behold, you should go see for yourself, Leon."
Leon Brantley ● I know she's such an asshole XD ● word count
Tag: @rinny OOC: i'm too tired to use my temp so -------- Leon was expecting to come to the beach for a nice dip before everyone else appeared; but instead, now he was facing some asshole girl who wouldn't stop making fun of him, and had begun their first impressions by being naked of all things. Sometimes, Leon really amazed himself with how he was able to get himself submerged in such crazy situations, but to an extent, he wasn't complaining. It was at least a little bit better than being bored in the clinic, and at least the girl had a somewhat nice body.
Coughing while being just as flustered as ever, he just nodded at Alice's response. "It's alright, I guess." He knew it was stupid to be angry about the mention of angels, but he couldn't help it. Just the thought of being compared to his good-for-nothing father pissed him off. Taking a moment to calm himself down even more, Leon ran his hand through his floppy hair and took off his glasses, settling them to the side and beginning to walk towards the water.
"Oh, I am. It's what I came here to do, before this whole interaction started." Tugging off his shirt, Leon exposed his lean upper body, muscles rippling with every movement. They weren't big, but they were well defined, which contradicted Leon's initially scrawny appearance. Beginning to wad into the water, he looked back towards the girl. "Down for another swim?"
