Min Yoon Ha tell me reality is better than a dream. general info
appearance Min is a young woman endowed with alluring physical features as is typical of her race, appearing to be in her mid-teens despite just having turned 20. Her face displays vivid East Asian features although her large, greyish-purple eyes may appear quaintly incongruous. She also possesses a moderately adequate height of 5'4 as well as a lean and athletic body, possessing just the decent amount of muscles and curves on her gentle hourglass figure. Her soft and smooth skin is near flawless although faintly impaired by the gauze bandages obscuring her lower left arm and right thigh, the commonly recurring presence of band-aids on parts of her body is a testament to her She sports long and choppy black hair that upon closer inspection, appears unevenly cut. Being obsessed with keeping up the appearance of a good-natured girl, she prefers wearing a lots of white, pink and purple in her clothing in an attempt to complement this, so much to the point of appearing unconventional. If required, she may wear some plain, earth-colored blazers and skirts for more formal occasions. She has a strange habit of twitching whenever she is anxious or upset. personality
Min Yoon Ha is a very disturbed individual, she is not at all what she seems like at first glance. She generally acts meek and kindhearted for the most part, stemming from her obsession of being truly loved by someone. However, her stunning lack of social skills and odd habit of clinging to those that give her enough attention has a tendency to put people off. As such, this causes her to be extremely fragile and self-conscious, which is unfortunate considering her otherwise charming physical appearance. This pattern ultimately results in her breaking down, crying with little provocation and constantly apologizing for trivial mistakes. Having said that, Min has come to the twisted conclusion that she is weak and therefore, has every right to act and be treated as such. Her inclination to perform menial, domestic tasks for the AP during her free time is caused by this. Her pleasant sounding and higher pitched voice flavors her neutral accent with foreign undertones, for the most part. Although she now has a decent grasp of the English language, her grammar and vocabulary tends to falter whenever she is upset or having fits of mania. For someone with such a girly and pleasing voice, it is lamentably marred by her unintentionally curt and... unsophisticated choice of words, causing her to unconsciously hurt and unsettle others. Regardless, she makes it a habit to to and say everything with sincerity, this is not necessarily a good thing, so to speak. She aspires to learn medical skills not only to become more likable, but also due to her unfounded belief that she is a nuisance on the battlefield. She is very prone to bizarre and erratic behavioral changes depending on the situation. In the end, her delicate persona is merely a defense mechanism for her intense hatred against society in general, which she believes to be utterly tainted. During her bipolar episodes, all of her repressed and negative traits take dominance. She will display a deep desire to take her suffering out on others, becoming extremely violent and unstable. She is mostly like this whenever performing her official AP duties, usually producing "messy" results upon their completion. Her conception that the weak are merely playthings to the strong, causes her to use powerless individuals for her own personal pleasure and see the stronger ones as a threat. As loyal as she may seem to the AP, she mostly loathes its self-righteous ideals and is now only there for her own convenience seeing that she has nowhere else to go. abilities Tree of Stone: (Advanced) This unique spell exclusive to the Half Fae enables the user to transfer any damage done to them or a selected group of people to a single individual. This spell's area of effect is limited to a 15 meter radius regarding both the benefactors and the targeted individual to channel the said damage to. The damage taken by the caster and her group may only be channeled towards a single person. The spell may be casted before or after the said damage is taken. It may take the for of a barrier that repels any incoming attacks towards the target or a healing spell that transfers all wounds sustained towards the target. This is probably Min's favorite ability although its limitations prevent her from using it extensively. The Tree of Stone's protective barrier can only last a minute at most after which the spell cannot be casted for another 24 hours. In the case of transferring damages already taken, the resulting cooldown will depend entirely on the severity of the injury with minor wounds resulting in at least a 15 minute cooldown to life-threatening wounds where the cooldown will take a couple of days at most. Min, is known for her peculiar technique of hurting herself in order to confuse her enemies only to transmit the self-inflicted damage towards the target. Elven Song: (Advanced) The Half Fae are well-known their use of magical music which they specialize in. As for Min, she apparently comes from a certain stock that utilizes their voice as the main source for this. The sound of her voice alone enables her to take control of the fauna around her. Depending on the nature of the melody sung, she has the ability to induce tranquility, stimulation, hysteria or even fear within those in hearing range. It may also have hypnotic undertones that generate illusions and enable her to control the minds of the more weak-willed. When combined with her ability to manipulate sound waves, she is able to focus the effects of the song towards a single individual. Of course, the stronger willed are less susceptible to such magic and may be able to brush of its psychic effects. The undead are completely immune to this form of magic. Min has been extensively trained in this ability and is now an expert at using it not only to support her comrades, but to lead her targets to their doom as well. Needless to say, this ability would be ineffective if her trachea and/or vocal chords are damaged, if the target/s are unable to hear the said song or if she makes any errors with regards to the notes and modulation. . Sound Manipulation: (Intermediate) Min usually prefers using this ability in tandem with her Elven Song in order to increase the volume of her voice in addition to changing the propagation of the soundwaves to travel towards her target. She also has also developed the ability to nullify soundwaves, creating a soundless barrier within a 15 meter radius. However, her ability to manipulate sound is limited in a way that she is unable to heighten volumes to such an extent where it causes heavy vibrations in the surrounding area, let alone deafen others being limited to a maximum of 110 decibels. As such, this may only disorient others with loud noises at most, lacking the capacity to otherwise successfully hinder an enemy's movements or to cause significant damage when used on its own. Nonetheless, it does prove very helpful when used to enhance the output of her songs and cancelling out unwanted noise made from doing her dirty work. Enhanced Speed and Dexterity: (Natural/Master) As is typical of her race, Min possesses superior speed and dexterity as compared to the average human. That and the fact that she has been provided extensive military training for as long as she could remember, makes her a noteworthy presence in battle, especially given her usual way of fighting. Despite being trained with the use of various firearms, she still very much prefers the use of knives and other short bladed weapons. In addition to that, she is quite adept at using any bladed, pointed or blunt objects as makeshift weapons for murder. She has been known to constantly move around the nearby vicinity in a strangely well-coordinated manner whenever surrounded by enemies almost as if she is dancing. Her nimbleness combined with her murderous nature enables her to "make a glorious mess" in the crime scene as quoted by her superiors. Strangely enough, Min somehow deluded into thinking that she is still slower than average. Enhanced Eyesight: (Natural) The Half Fae's sense of sight is naturally much more advanced than that of normal person. Her eyes are able to see in much finer details in addition to being able to see through remarkable distances. She is also able to completely see clearly in what would otherwise be pitch black conditions for the average human. This is turn makes her an excellent marksman, with her eyes acting as a sort of sniper scope on its own. She is able to hit moving targets from a distance with much ease and accuracy due to this, although someone with above average speed may make it difficult. Weakness Against Undead and Dark Magic: (Natural) Dark magic and the undead are the absolute bane of a Half Fae's existence. Merely being in the presence of an Undead individual is enough to significantly weaken her. The longer she stay in near contact with them, the higher the chances of her developing a strange disease exclusive to her kind. In addition to that, even the weakest of dark magic will cause her tremendous amounts of pain, which may prove fatal when not healed immediately. backstory Trigger Warning: Physical and Psychological Abuse, Child Abuse, Murder Project Dokkaebi, a top secret genetic engineering program by the North Korean government in order to mass produce the perfect soldiers commenced operations decades ago in response to the ever-increasing AP and Terror Attacks in the country. Somewhere in the mountains of North Hamgyong Province, North Korea was a concentration camp that housed the “defective products” of the said program, Half Fae children who are deemed to have genetic flaws that rendered them unfit for future military service. D-217 was one of these children. She never knew her parents, only that she and almost everyone else in the camp were brothers and sisters. For as long as she remembered, D-217 endured abysmal conditions at the camp. She and the other children were given insufficient food, disease was rampant and it was quite common for the children to die of illness, starvation and maltreatment by the prison guards. The young D-217 became used to the sight of her dead sisters and brothers being hauled off in a body bag towards an unknown location. In addition to that, they performed experiments on her. She and some of her other sisters would occasionally be put in a gas chamber where they were apparently forced to inhale gases that would otherwise be fatal to humans, not all of them would survive these tests. There were also some times were men in lab coats would forcibly strap her onto a table and inject certain chemicals into her body in order to study her reaction, sometimes causing her tremendous pain. She spent her early childhood feeling nothing but misery, having been brainwashed into thinking that the suffering they endured is for the greater good of the state and that they deserved it for being born weak. One day, when she was 7, D-217 and her other sisters were made to stand in a row as a man who was apparently from China stood before them and inspected them one by one. He had somehow bribed the camp’s head of security to be able to buy some of the girls as “slaves”. The man came up to a famished and bruised D-217, closely inspected her face and with one point of his finger, the guards pushed her over to this side. The man was only allowed to take D-217 and three others in order to avoid suspicion by the commander, little did they know that the man was not from China, nor were they being sold to a life of forced labor or worse. The man’s name was Hyun Joong-won, a younger son of the president of a large conglomerate in South Korea as well as an agent working for the AP. Before long, they were given food, water, medical treatment and a boat ride en route to the port of Busan. No longer was she to be called D-217 as Joong-won gave her a new name, Yoon-ha, Min Yoon-ha. By then, she has felt more love in those couple weeks of travel than 7 years of on her life in the internment camp, despite the fact that she and her sisters were still treated coldly and were extensively interrogated about the camp’s experiment. Afterwards, Min and the other girls were immediately thrust into a new world of tall buildings, crowded streets and ubiquitous lights. They were then made to live in a low-income apartment with a prostitute working for a South Korean mafia group which was apparently affiliated with the AP as well. Although life was still hard for the girls, it was most probably the ideal life for them after enduring such cruelty back home. Their new guardian acted akin to that of their former prison guards, beating them, verbally abusing them, regularly monitoring their every move yet they were given food, water, education and at least some time to rest. Yoon-ha and her sisters have been too conditioned into believing they were inferior beings to even try to escape. Joong-won also performed monthly visits to the girls where he frequently briefed them all about the Assembly of Phantoms in addition to frequently rewarding them with gifts and tasty food for good performance. Min grew extremely attached to Joong-won to the point of veneration. In addition to performing domestic tasks for the guardian and her guests, the girls were also forced to help out in some of her missions such as scouting out TRS venues, performing illegal transactions and sometimes even helping her cover up a crime scene by sabotaging TRS operations. Her sister, whose new name was Soo-yeon and 5 years older than her, was the most proficient in performing her missions out of the four. Min and Soo-yeon had a close relationship as the younger Min adored her as a role model. Everything seemed to be going well until Joong-won began showing more attention towards Soo-yeon, even taking her out on missions sometimes. It was at this point where Min began feeling a strange feeling. Instead of happiness, she could not help but feel a strange sense of grief, seeing the man she so treasured together with the sister she admired. As Soo-yeon became inducted into the AP as an apprentice, Yoon-ha began to take her work more seriously before she gets left behind. Suddenly, when Yoon-ha was 12, Soo-yeon suddenly changed after a completing several missions. She began acting cold and condescending towards her sisters, particularly Min who was the youngest and the one she perceived to be the weakest. After Min confronted her about her change in behavior, Soo-yeon’s ensuing tirade broke her. Before she knew it, a fight ensued and what was left of her older sister afterwards was but a mutilated and bloodied carcass. Oddly enough, Joong-won upon learning of this incident, actually praised Yoon-ha. She was stronger than Soo-yeon, and now his attention was directed solely onto her alone. She was inducted into the AP as an apprentice soon after. That was enough to take Min’s mind off her heinous deed for a while, until Joong-won personally gave her a notice that she was being sent off to Japan in order to complete her training there. She did not understand, she did everything for him, even killed her own sister so that he would notice her only for him to send her away. She did not go calmly as she took down a few of Joong-won’s men in her frenzy before they sedated her. The moment she woke up, she was already in an AP hideout in the mountains somewhere in Yamagata, Japan. She underwent harsh training under the strict supervision of her new guardian, a fellow Half Fae who was apparently a yakuza boss. Despite her vast improvement, her notion that she was still weak persisted not only due to her baseless perception that Joong-won threw her aside, but also because of the tough and strict nature of her trainers. As soon as she had at least a passable grasp of the native language, she was allowed to once again attend school under the name “Minori Yonezawa”. Her meek and docile personality still took dominance by then and no one in her class was aware of her affiliation with the terrorist group. Although the 14 year old Min was popular with the boys at first, her sheer social ineptitude alone was enough to ruin her reputation. For a year, she did well to endure the bullying at school in addition to the harsh training. She was used to such treatment after all. That was until in her 1st year of high school, she met a boy in class who reminded her of Joong-won, Yoshihiro Taneda or just Yokkun for short. Yokkun treated her just as kindly as Joong-won did despite her reputation as being a “slut”, “desperate” and “crazy”. She finally found someone who fully accepted her for what she is and before long, she became obsessed with him. She stalked Yokkun everywhere he went, and began exhibiting strange behavior whenever around him. This caused Yokkun to eventually become repulsed by her presence, which did not please Min at all. She began to truly wonder why no one would love her, why was it that she never gets anything she wants. It was just like Joong-won all over again, she had to stop being weak… she had to do something… One by one, some of Yokkun’s female acquaintances went missing and eventually, a couple of boys close to him disappeared as well. Just as her schoolmates began having their suspicions about her, she resorted to drastic measures by kidnapping Yokkun in desperation and tying him up in a secluded spot in the woods. She told him all sorts of things, of her life in North Korea, of her connections with the AP, the fact that she brutally murdered his friends and her willingness to leave the AP just to start a new life with him. Absolutely horrified by her actions, Yokkun told her the very words she did not want to hear, that he will never love someone like her. In the end, he was just like everyone else, preying upon her feelings just because he thought she was weak. Min made sure that she took all her suffering out on him, causing her to feel it for the first time in her life, “Power”. Soon afterwards, the unrecognizable remains of the 8 students she had murdered were found and Min was the prime suspect. It became clear to her guardian that Yoon-ha was a dangerous and unstable individual. Not wanting anymore more to do with her, he officially make her an AP soldier shortly after her 16th birthday, which was around the time when a large scale attack on the city of Sendai was planned. The horde of Terrors and soldiers wreaked havoc on the coastal parts of the city. The instructions were simple, eliminate all TRS members and citizens who supported them, but Min could care less as she unleashed all of her fury indiscriminately. She now had an opportunity to show the world that she was not weak. Ultimately, her comrades had to actually restrain Yoon-ha from continuing with her maniacal killing spree. Before a battalion of TRS hunters got to the city, the invading force was already on their way across the Pacific Ocean. Min spent the next few years taking assassination missions mainly in the cities of San Francisco, Chicago and New York respectively. She had to constantly move to different locations due to her increasingly erratic nature getting in trouble with the local authorities. Her ways of dispatching targets are not exactly the most “clean” either, sometimes resulting in more casualties than necessary. The TRS has only recently taken note of her notorious exploits landing her a place on their most wanted list. The AP also became aware of her track record and eventually assigned her to the city of Lorsette where her services would most likely be required. Nevertheless, most people remain unaware of Min Yoon-ha’s true nature due to her usually delicate persona, aside from a few colleagues that is. misc - Although her first name is Yun-ha, she prefers if other people, specifically westerners call her by her last name, Min. This is mostly due to her perception that they may have a hard time pronouncing it. She also became used to it in Japan where she was mostly referred to as Min-chan. - Upon landing on US soil, she once was given a fake ID and Passport using her English name "Julia Min". This has since changed after moving to Canada where upon her insistence, her Korean name was used once more, with only some minor spelling changes. Calling her by her English name slightly upsets her. - She speaks Korean, Japanese and English. These are also the three main languages she sings in aside from a few memorized verses in Latin and other Fae languages. - Shortly after she was born, she was apparently diagnosed with autism which was the main cause for her internment. She also developed a severe form bipolar disorder sometime in her mid to late childhood and has since gotten progressively worse to the point of displaying symptoms of psychosis. - Despite being a member of the AP, she somehow despises Zeredah, believing her to be a self-righteous hypocrite. She no longer believes in her promised Utopia and is now mostly concerned with furthering her own power along with satiating her selfish desires. - She styles herself as a humble housekeeper and tends to overwork herself with domestic chores in addition to studying medicine and performing hits on the TRS. Nonetheless, every dish she makes are to die for. | roleplayer info ☆ NAME Zenon ☆ RP EXPERIENCE 6+ Years ☆ TIMEZONE EST ☆ GENDER Neutral ☆ AGE 22 ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Jamie Ungalaq Amelia Sutherland Rosalynn Halogan Pascal Laurent ☆ FACE CLAIM Danganronpa 2, Mikan Tsumiki ---------------------- THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO Zenon.
