Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Jaxx had a difficult time registering praise aimed towards him and his above average methodology and performance during operations. However, whenever Octavio did so, it was satisfying for him- enough to give him this idea of confidence in his capabilities. He was already aware of his own formidability, but Octavio’s words often resulted in him extending this gauge on himself.
”Please be careful not to be overly expectant of me, Mast- or rather… Octavio, I don’t wish to devastate you if I were to fail you at any point,” he claimed out of consideration for his master. As conscious as he was of his prowess, he didn’t like including it in the justification for his better judgement; furthermore, the last thing he wanted to do was bring disappointment to the redhead. The magnitude of that disappointment grew exponentially the higher the bar of expectation was raised.
”Yes, retreating would be ideal… I suggest that we take our leave first, and we can decide on our next plans later,” he responded with an actual sense of urgency, and he had even approached Octavio to scoop him up into his arms in a single move. The Abomination was far more fixed on the potentiality of the enemy arriving for reinforcement and investigation quicker than their estimated time of arrival; which also was dependent on scouting/patrol routes: information they did not possess on their enemy.
”With respect, I ask that you hold on… I won’t be holding back,” he gave his warning as his legs, feet and pelvis seemingly clicked a multitude of times, and he lowered in preparation to kick forward and vanish in a series of legging and jumps from the coast and into the industrialized rib cage of civilization. His destination? Home, and sanctuary for their kind of course.
Praise, it was something Octavio considered important to provide the golem who served him with the utmost loyalty and even gave the honour of referring to him as Master. Missions were accomplished with excellence by Jaxx, thus, the redhead only considered it appreciative benevolence to commend him. The golem's mere existence and unwavering allegiance to Octavio resulted in the Assembly informant and soldier being marked as powerful among his peers. Nobody else could successfully tame the literal murder machine which resulted in the Puppet Master becoming a crucial piece in the clockwork. Furthermore, he spent hours maintaining Jaxx's mechanisms and assisting with improvements to assure the Murder Doll could strike without fail. However, the thankfulness Octavio felt was linked with the sense of nostalgia and the golem's close physical resemblance to the boy he crushed on through high school.
The utterance of his true name resulted in Octavio flinching beneath the mask he wore. During missions, he insisted on his alias being used, the redhead's identity even being hidden from a majority of Assembly members.
The Puppet Master nodded slowly before stating in a quiet tone, "My praise still stands. Although, I request you be more cautious saying my name in public. Private is fine or when I am assuming my regular identity."
Harshness was nonexistent in Octavio's voice, the young redhead knowing Jaxx would carefully listen to his words. Even disappointment was difficult to muster because of the Puppet Master's peculiar feelings towards the golem. The appearance suggested Alex, yet, the personality left him tense and uncertain about his emotions. Emotional puzzlement still consumed him in regards to the possibility of his friend who disappeared possibly returning to him, however, Octavio silenced his beliefs until he could gain more information. Unfortunately, data related to Jaxx was difficult to acquire and limited about what his identity was previously. Retreating from the area was decided upon, Octavio's face gaining a tint of red as the short golem's arms scooped him up. Once again, the Puppet Master found himself thankful for the mask that completely hid his face. When the golem requested he held on, Octavio listened, going lengths to press closer as he prepared for transportation. Their home would eventually appear, but the redhead worried himself with assuring he would not fall as Jaxx began returning them to their home in Aria.
