appearance When it comes to body, Octavio is set with a lean build of muscles. It is difficult for his body to gain massive amounts of weight, which oftentimes means he is required to take measures to keep his body fit. Even a week or two without exercise can cause Octavio’s muscles to weaken a surprising amount. Roughly, he comes to a height of 6’1”, his legs being rather long which allows him to be faster than some people. His flesh is a fair colour, but his complexion has been known for being paler at times due to the clothing he wears. There was no scars or other blemishes on Octavio’s body. Octavio does have pierced ears, but otherwise there are no other piercings of tattoos on his body. Long, red locks of hair cover Octavio’s head in an oftentimes messy styling. His hair is rarely properly groomed and the only moments that he takes time with his hair is during special occasions where he has to blend in. A headband is used to keep the bangs out of his eye, although, this can result in giving it a messier appearance at times. His eyes are a beautiful green in colour, however, one is consistently covered with an eyepatch when Octavio is in public. The eyepatch is plain, being a meager black one just meant to cover his branded eye. The branded eye is a unique feature of Octavio, allowing him access to one of his crucial abilities that aid his doll manipulation and possession. Instead of being a simplistic green colour, the branded eye’s pupil is replaced by the black symbol of a hand with strings dangling from the fingers, a symbol of the Puppet Master. Whenever his branding ability is being used, this symbol will glow a bluish colour. Since his ability claimed the right eye, his eyesight with that particular eye is lessened and can not be aided with the help of corrective lenses. Clothes especially vary for Octavio since as an informant, he is required to blend into his surroundings. Oftentimes, he prefers casual clothing that does not make him stick out among a crowd. He also finds this style of clothing more comfortable, making it a common even when he is not working. Otherwise, Octavio can generally be seen wearing just about any clothing, even formal wear. Two golden rings dangle from his ears, which is a usual article of jewelry he enjoys wearing. Whenever Octavio is working with his fellow Assembly members or carrying out soldier work is when he wears plenty of clothing. His Puppet Master clothing consists of a large mask that covers the entirety of his face. The right eye’s section is specially designed to open in order to allow him to brand people or things should it be required. A black long coat is placed around his shoulders and he wears a pair of thick black boots alongside other black articles of clothing beneath it. abilities Doll Manipulation -- Offensive/Defensive -- Intermediate This ability allows Octavio to control dolls and puppets, this can include mechanized dolls. Focus is key with this ability, without it the user would be incapable of controlling to higher degrees. The more dolls controlled, the more focus Octavio must put into manipulating them; this similarly occurs with complex corrigraphy. This can unfortunately lead to Octavio not paying enough attention to his surroundings which can result in him being injured. As the number of dolls under his influence increases, the more energy that Octavio would need to place in the manipulating. Controlling dolls bigger than himself is impossible unless they are branded, but even this is limited to being half the size larger than himself. When larger dolls are being manipulated, this can consume more of Octavio’s energy and should he attempt to push this ability, he can be rendered unconscious. Using certain relaxant drugs (or anything that can cause disorientation or drowsiness), or knocking Octavio out will make the ability automatically deactivate. When intoxicating substances such as alcohol or drugs get into Octavio’s system, this can hinder his control greatly due to the effects they would have on his focus. Possession -- Offensive/Defensive -- Intermediate The ability to control a living creature, human or otherwise. This ability heavily hinges on the person’s will, the more weak being inclined to follow Octavio’s commands while the stubborn would give him bigger issues; this also depends on the order since certain victims may be less inclined to perform certain deeds. The task itself can also make it difficult since the more complex, the harder it can be to perform. The more people he tries control, the more difficult the ability becomes with both focus and keeping people under his influence. The more people under his control or the higher amount of effort placed into influencing them can increase the amount of energy that Octavio will need to give his possession. A majority of drugs or alcoholic beverages makes it difficult for Octavio to use his ability. People with psychic shields are immune to this ability. Should a person be branded by Octavio, they would be easier to control. Branding -- Support -- Advanced Essentially, Octavio’s branding ability is linked with his other two abilities and supports. There is a reason why he always wears an eyepatch and simply because of the branding in his right eye. This allows Octavio to brand other people, dolls, stuffed animals and puppets by staring into its eyes and forcing his brand onto it. The brand will appear in the victim’s right eye looking like a hand with strings dangling from it which is Octavio’s symbol.By branding a person, Octavio is capable of harbouring his conscious in them, allowing him to hear, smell and see what they see. When Octavio is doing this, the brand glows slightly which makes his presence a little obvious, however, when he is not present there are no signs of him being around. If the victim does not possess a right eye, the brand goes unseen. For living people, Octavio branding them is very painful since he is essentially connecting himself with the other person’s mind. This allows him to also manipulate or possess the victim easier than before. A brand on a living person can only last 24 hours and a person with a psychic shield can not be branded by Octavio. Dolls, on the other hand, keep their branding until they are destroyed. If the victim dies or is destroyed well Octavio’s consciousness is with them, Octavio will be slammed back into his own body and feel an immense headache, making him unable to use the branding for a while. Well his consciousness is in another person or object, Octavio can only somewhat sense the world around his true body, but for the most part is helpless in this state. He can only access the senses of one doll/person at a time, but can flick between them while in his unconscious state. Due to this ability, the eyesight in Octavio’s right eye is weaker than his left and can not be corrected with lenses. backstory Originally, Octavio was born alongside his twin to a pair of TRS members. His biological parents were heroic, nobly defending the lives of others, although, Octavio never gained the chance to truly meet them. When himself and his twin were young, their parents met their demise to the Assembly. They were placed into adoption, quickly being taken in and raised by other Assembly of Phantoms members. As time passed, the people who adopted Octavio felt like true parents. They trained him, even going lengths to give the young boy schooling to properly mold him into a member the Assembly could use. Considering how easily manipulated children could be, not much effort was taken towards the moulding. The twins were quickly taught about the workings of the Assembly. Weakness was frowned upon and the weak rarely deserved the pity of the strong. These lessons caused the young boy to train more despite his young age. Around the age of 10 was when Octavio received his fascination with dolls and puppets. When his abilities began activating, being featured around those types of items, Octavio became rather obsessed with the things. He began becoming more inclined to build his own, later learning to make weaponized dolls to further his training. His possession was shortly trained as well, the young boy advancing in his capabilities swiftly. Although, his obsession with dolls resulted in his peers bullying him for the enjoyment that was considered girly. They treated him as inferior which caused Octavio to severely dislike his peers. He became withdrawn for a majority of these years, finding no joy in group based activities. His teachers remained rather strict, which gradually sparked a rebellious attitude in the boy for his severe dislike of the classes and his schoolmates. Gradually, he began working harder in his soldier training in hopes of using it against the bullies, but his parents insisted against it. They desired for their adoptive son to remain hidden, which resulted in Octavio accepting the torment until he decided to deceive people. Being himself was clearly not working to generate a better environment, thus the young boy pretended that he hated dolls and began participating in the games the other boys played. He excelled in sports due to the extensive amount of time his parents spent training the young boy’s body. A majority of people found him incredibly skillful in sports, allowing him to smoothly transition from bully victim to merely a loner. Associating himself with those who bullied him was impossible, thus he merely remained by himself. He used the time to study his powers more, furthering his control in order to impress his parents. Octavio accomplished this task secretively, but usually left anything relating to doll manipulation for at home hours. The disguise was kept for years, becoming his only method of defense in the harsh social hierachy of school. As Octavio continued aging, the sight in his right eye began fading. Constantly, he would inquire his parents about it who gradually began noticing the peculiar change in the eye’s appearance. Slowly, his final ability began making itself evident by changing the appearance of his right eye. With knowledge that this would not assist their adoptive son in remaining hidden, they began forcing him to wear an eyepatch. Training of his branding passed slower as Octavio began learning how deeply linked his abilities were. The capabilities of his branding ability proved him to be a remarkable informant for the Assembly. Slightly, the boy’s training was altered to revolve more around stealth and information gathering as a result of the new ability. As years passed, he became similar to his adoptive parents, although, possessed a less malicious edge. As years continued, Octavio became more devoted to the Assembly of Phantoms and became an informant at the age of 14. He proved to be an excellent informant due to his stealth based abilities. This was where his alias Puppet Master was created, resulting in the boy also taking up soldier duties on occasion. He began disguising himself in order to continue carrying out the wishes of the Assembly. He enjoyed assisting Zeredah’s organization and became fully devoted to helping the cause very quickly. Due to the change of being an informant, Octavio became more sociable during school hours to allow him to smoothly gather information. The plan worked, but also arrived with a perk of sorts. Oddly enough, as days past the young boy found himself befriending another person, which was peculiar considering he rarely spent time around others. Alas, he found the boy’s company enjoyable and shortly the boy he met became the only friend that Octavio had. For two years, the pair remained friends and gradually, Octavio found himself crushing on the boy he managed to befriend. Several days around when he was 16 were spent practicing in a mirror on how exactly to admit his feelings or ask the boy on a date, although, it remained a struggle. It was frustrating to Octavio that despite numerous hours spent in romantic research that he lacked the nerve to attempt using it on the boy he was crushing on. Finally, a day arrived where Octavio possessed the courage, but when he arrived at school, the boy he liked was nowhere to be seen. Initially, Octavio thought that his crush had merely gotten sick and went about texting him to check if he was alright. Unfortunately, the truth was darker than Octavio had expected, the boy he cared about dearly had been kidnapped. The truth shattered Octavio, resulting in an early ride home where his adoptive parents remained displeased with the weakness he displayed. Gradually, the redhead grew numb to emotions, finding himself moping in the thoughts of what could have been an amazing relationship; he regretted not telling him earlier. The possibility of his crush being dead remained, but it never sat correctly with Octavio. Almost as though he could sense that horrible things were happening, but not reaching the lengths of death’s mercy. The event gradually made Octavio both cynical and reckless as found himself unable to trust humanity; resulting in the costume being made for the infamous Puppet Master being used at all times. His parents remained disapproving of the sudden attitude and shortly attempted to mend it. He was informed that the Assembly killed his biological parents, but they insisted that his parents were weak. They made points that favoured the Assembly, allowing them to maintain Octavio’s belief of this being the correct side. There was simply no more room for weakness in the world and he was believing every second of it. Finally, this was used as a method to motivate Octavio out of this numb state of careless actions and sorrowful feelings. They used other incentives, lecturing Octavio about how if his crush was strong enough he would have never been captured alongside the weakness making him an unsuitable partner, but he remained skeptical about the final bit; he could not accept the concept of his crush being weak. As years progressed, Octavio remained with the Assembly considering his heavy devotion towards the organization. A majority of the time, his tasks are related to the regular duties of informants due to his abilities, but on occasion he will fight as a soldier. He is another member of the Assembly of Phantoms on the most wanted list, but due to his true identity remaining unknown, Octavio has not been caught. This had allowed him to continue gathering information for the past 3 years in peace. He oftentimes only follows Assembly orders, refusing to listen to other authority figures.
