Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
The gentle warmth of a cool spring afternoon was pleasant to a majority of people. The streets were bustling with activity, people enjoying the marvelous weather while it remained available. Gradually, the short hellhound managed to squirm through the crowds that clogged the walkways with a tightened grip on his phone. Despite the wonderful weather, he found himself desiring more heat to transcend over the earth considering the incredible effects it would have on his energy. A broad smile remained on Arlo's lips while he continued typing on the smooth screen, clicking the various keys to send the occasional text to his crush. Excitement was pumping through his body, adding a jovial skip to each step the short man took on his journey to Nicholas' apartment. Already, his heart was pounding and red touched his cheeks, turning them a slight pink while he pondered the extensive time he would spend in the man's company.
There was an objective, which was to cause Nicholas to blush with flirtatious compliments and the style Arlo thought would give himself an essence of cute. After the blushing competition had been decided, the hellhound has hastily fetched a navy sweater with a pair of cat-like ears stitched to the hoodie. The sweater itself was a little big in order to allow hiding hands into the soft sleeves, partially for self-enjoyment and to create a cuter impression. The hood was already around his head, the criminal cautiously avoiding any selfies where the hood was visible; it was intended to be a surprise for his crush. A backpack hugged his shoulders, filled mostly with clothes for spending the night and the date that Nicholas had mentioned. The mere thought of dating the white-haired man caused the hellhound's smile to widen and a giggle to escape his mouth in anticipation.
Loosely, the sleeves hung around Arlo's wrists while he flitted back to his pictures where his screenshot of the directions that Nicholas gave him remained. Gradually, he was growing closer to the location which generated ideas of how exactly he wanted to greet his crush. Their relationship appeared to be progressing excellently, suggesting a variety of actions that the hellhound could take towards greeting the handsome man. There was indecisiveness in choosing, the short man pondering the notion while he entered the apartment building mentioned in the directions. Slowly, Arlo opened the door, a friendly woman opening the inner one and allowing him access despite unfamiliarity. For a moment, the hellhound gazed around the lobby in mild curiosity over the inside of the building. A majority of his assassinations involved rundown warehouses, luxurious mansions or well-protected areas which made the wealthy teen genuinely interested in the living standards of common-wealth individuals.
Images of a more extravagant appearance for the lobby filtered through his mind, making the simple walls, small-scale paintings and flowers cheap in comparison. Naturally, Arlo understood the expenses that arrived with upscale arrangements, but it remained a strange world for the hellhound who was used to silver spoons and large, golden chandeliers; to homes with numerous rooms and grand pianos that silently sat awaiting a player. After a momentary shake of the head, the short man clicked the button to call forth the elevator while double-checking the directions. A ding sounded when the elevator reached the main floor, Arlo entering it and hastily clicking the number of his crush's floor. While the box began rising, the hellhound found that his excitement remained on a steady increase. It reached points where the short man began bouncing on his feet while the smile remained stretched across his lips.
When the elevator ascended to the correct floor and the thick doors opened, the criminal speedily walked out; it was an attempt to maintain proper composure. He passed by the numerous numbered rooms, gazing over them in search of Nicholas' apartment. When his red eyes reached the correct number, the grin broadened immensely and excitement increased. Before the hellhound accomplished any other task, he quickly ran his fingers through his hair, making certain it remained tidy. Afterwards, the hood with the cat ears was pulled up again while his free hand scrolled back to the messages, activating the camera. A quick selfie of himself outside of Nicholas' door was taken and sent to his crush. Before checking if the message scent, the phone was shoved into his jean pocket while the hellhound brought both hands up. In rapid motions, he knocked on the door, warranting a series of echoes through the hallway and into Nicholas' room.
Disturbing the other residents of the building was not Arlo's concern; he was too fixated on gaining his crush's attention. After reaching a little past double digits in knocking, the hellhound stepped back, pulling his slender hands into his sleeves and brought them to his chest. A wide smile remained on his face while he waited for Nicholas to answer, preparing himself to reach out and embrace the adorable man once the opportunity was provided.
After a long day at work, Nicholas was laying back on his couch, sending text messages back to Arlo. Finding the selfies adorable, unable to figure out how he would go about deleting the extra photos so that he had more spare on his phone for new ones. One of these days either he was going to conquer this cell phone or toss it in a rage, which ever came first.... With each text message Arlo sent, he would reply back with one of his own, as time passed, he would stand up from the couch and head into his bedroom to rebrush his hair with his comb. Arlo was coming over to his place and the last thing he wanted was to look like a complete mess. He also changed out of his TRS uniform to wear a fresh white dress shirt with black slacks. Though casual was more of a favorite, he found that he was warmer in his formal attire that he didn't favor as much. He would then sit back down on the couch, hovering over his phone as he awaited the next text message from Arlo.
His selfie to Arlo would only be of his face, so it would be hard to notice the change of clothes, but at least the hair would look much more tidy that it had before. When he got the text message, he was smiling to see Arlo in the outfit, he was slow to move from the couch to answer the door because he found himself stuck at staring at his phone of the adorable Arlo. Of course he forced himself to snap out of it, the last thing he wanted was for Arlo to feel a need to knock again when he had kept him waiting long enough. He quickly moved towards the door, rushing slightly as he reached his hand out to grip the door handle while the other unlocked the door so that he could get a full view of Arlo. Seeing Arlo in his hoodie was much more adorable in person, with his hands held to his chest, it made him want to run forward and embrace the other boy but he held back.
Though the shock of seeing an adorable Arlo had caused the phone to slip from his hand that had been holding the door handle and fell to the ground, making a smacking noise in the process. I'll deal with it later. He thought to himself, finding Arlo to be much more important over the silly phone. "Welcome to my home Arlo." He answered, a smile on his face he waved Arlo in, somewhat hoping that Arlo would be brave enough to hug him because he hadn't done it himself. "Come in out of the cold..." Not like the hallway was all that cold but the point of Arlo being here was to be with him, besides somebody could walk by and see them and he wanted alone time with Arlo, he already had to put up with the public. If Arlo came inside, he would close the door behind him.
A large grin remained on Arlo's face while he waited for the door to open and reveal the man he cared about most. There were moments where the hellhound caught himself daydreaming about Nicholas, the beautiful man capturing his heart at mere glance. There was a particularly special quality about the hunter that made him alluring to the short hellhound; almost as though something already noticed the significance, like a thread pulling them together. While he waited for Nicholas to answer the door, Arlo found himself bouncing on his feet, unable to contain the anticipation that flowed through his veins. Mentally, the hellhound was praying for his crush to answer the door quickly as his impatience began generating; he wanted to see Nicholas now! He craved the moment his red eyes would scrutinize the handsome white-haired man and notice the numerous attractive features he held.
The urge to snatch his phone from his pocket was resisted, Arlo keeping his small hands balled against his chest. With his superior hearing, the hellhound listened to the sound of movements alongside the nearly inaudible sounds of the threshold being opened. Once the door opened, Arlo's eyes widened in amazement at the incredible display that was the attire and freshly combed hair that Nicholas possessed. The appearance was defined as formal in tone, the white dress shirt and black slacks contrasting wonderfully against each other. Instantly, the criminal's eyes began exploring the wonderful appearance of his crush, finding himself immensely pleased with the styling that Nicholas had chosen. The noise of his crush's phone hitting floor was easily detected by Arlo's sensitive ears, making the hellhound gleefully giggle at the reaction he earned. His eyes returned to Nicholas, spotting the smiling and attentively listening to the invitation to enter.
A flirtatious gleam entered the hellhound's eyes at the mentioning of the cold hallway. Cheerfully he entered the home, grabbing Nicholas' phone from the floor to avoid stepping on it; he still needed to text this incredible man after all. Once he entered, Arlo slipped off his backpack, holding the phone and the bag's top strap before giving a fake shiver.
"It was veeeery cold, but I think a hug from a certain handsome man would help me warm up," Arlo responded, winking at Nicholas. "Are you going to save me from the cold, handsome hero?"
There was a shifting in countenance, Arlo's expression openly displaying the flirtatious intent he held towards Nicholas. Naturally, he desired an embrace from the handsome hunter, but a blushing contest had been created via text message and the criminal was determined to win. A tight grip was maintained on the phone and his backpack, the hellhound already planning to hold his crush's phone hostage. There were numerous conditions that Arlo desired for his stay at Nicholas' home which was most specifically cuddles and gaining the opportunity to share a bed with the wonderful man. Sleeping beside another person was already viewed as cozy, making the criminal immensely crave the chance to slumber next to the white-haired man who he found particularly comfy to snuggle. Perfection was the intent of the evening, Arlo devising various methods to capture the handsome man's heart.
Arlo's giggle reached Nicholas' ears and he felt slightly embarrassed but tried holding himself together, appearing somewhat calm despite the blood slowly rushing to his cheeks. Arlo had moved into the apartment and NIcholas closed the door behind him, noticing his crush pick up his phone from the floor, assuming that it was likely so that he wouldn't trip over it, unaware that he should have been quicker to pick it up. He slowly followed behind Arlo, watching him slip off his backpack before shivering. So Arlo had taken the bait, but he found his blood rushing to his face when Arlo bluntly hinted that a hug was encouraged. Why couldn't I just be braver and think of that comment first? He thought to himself, as he moved towards Arlo before reaching out his arms to embrace Arlo.
"Of course I will." He replied back, thinking of what more he could say that Arlo hadn't mentioned already. Though text message had been easier earlier, he knew that he could get some come backs in, he wanted to see Arlo blush after all. "I've been sitting on the couch, thinking to myself how I would go about sharing this heat with you, I think I have a fever with you here." He flirted back, implying that Arlo is very attractive. Not bad Nicholas, now keep it going. He thought to himself as he attempted to hug Arlo tighter, before pulling away to slip his hand into Arlo's with the goal of leading him into the living room. This is going to be a wonderful night, Arlo is going to be spending the night than we can think about tomorrow a little bit later. He planned on showing Arlo to the couch with the intent of cuddling him on it. Assuming that Arlo would let him, that is.
From over his shoulder, Arlo observed his crush's reaction towards the flirtatious comment about embracing. When colour rushed towards Nicholas' cheeks, the hellhound's smile broadened in delight at the display. There was no denying the adorable essence that his crush held and it was especially displayed when red coloured those divine cheeks. Affection and cherishing was necessary to capture somebody's heart, the occasional showering of compliments and flirtatious remarks earning their place among the path; or at least in Arlo's opinion. As Nicholas drew closer, his arms wrapping around him which caused a gleeful expression to enter his face. His backpack and crush's phone remained in his grip while he melted into the wonderful embrace. A delighted exhale drifted from the criminal's mouth, his eyes closing while he enjoyed the feeling of Nicholas' arms being around him. Shortly, he tilted his head back, eyes opening as he stared up at his crush.
"Perfect. Not just the hug, but the view too," Arlo flirted.
Another wink was given towards Nicholas to imply that he was attractive, although, the hellhound would personally refer to him as divine in appearance. Flaws were nonexistent on the white-haired man's body, the view being absolutely sublime to Arlo while he remained in the taller man's arms. The hellhound's eyes lingered on Nicholas' face while the flirting return was created with excellence. Hints of pink touched Arlo's cheeks while his cheerful expression shifted back to flirtatious; it was time to display his flirting prowess.
"Oh? Then I suppose nurse Arlo has a patient that he wants to personally attend to. Besides, with looks like those it would be impossible to keep me away," he responded smoothly. "I promise I will make you feel all better, my divine hero."
There was a tightening to the embrace before Nicholas pulled away to lead him into the living room. Silently, Arlo slipped his crush's phone into his pocket while his thoughts lingered on how exactly he wanted to state his demands. When they drew closer to the couch, the hellhound carefully leaned his backpack against the couch before glancing towards Nicholas.
"I think the perfect cure for your fever and my coldness may be some cuddling," Arlo stated, maintaining a flirty tone.
Without hesitation, the criminal walked towards the couch and sat down, grinning towards his crush, praying that he would join him. A few hours of cuddling sounded like a wonderful event to begin this evening and Arlo planned to enjoy every second of it.
Nicholas loved the flirting comments that Arlo shot back at him but so far he was losing and he would need to get some more brownie points if he expected to win, losing wouldn't be an option. "Not as perfect as you though." He commented back, wanting to hurry with his comeback just in case he lost the chance. "Oh what I would give to hug you forever. So cozy." He would need to do something but what exactly could he do to try and fluster Arlo as much as his crush had done to him first. Now lets see..... hmm... He leaned in and attempted to kiss Arlo on the cheek. Arlo had one hell of a comeback, calling himself nurse Arlo, oh what he would give to never let this man go, to have him forever. He was having a hard time containing his emotions, his cheeks went red, "Nurse Arlo is welcome here anytime." He started, "I will try my hardest to do the same, but you have me beat there."
With a smile on his face, "Your the best." Implying that he wanted only Arlo. Nicholas lead Arlo into the living room, unaware that Arlo had slipped his cell phone into his pocket. Once they got to the couch, Arlo had flirted and he felt his cheeks become redder. He is really good at this, but I'm not about to give up. Not yet. With his smile growing bigger, "I don't know, I think I'm getting a sweet tooth." He winked at Arlo, seeing no harm in stealing that action from his crush. Arlo had moved towards the couch and took a seat, he couldn't help but stand there, looking at his crush grinning at him. He soon moved to sit on the couch next to Arlo, as to avoid keeping him from having to wait.
Winning the flirting competition was a necessity, especially considering the person Arlo was attempting to steal the heart of was the beautiful Nicholas. Admittedly, the hellhound was confident in his flirting prowess since years of dates and potential boyfriends had allowed practice. While Arlo stared at the white-haired man, he already knew all those former love interests were nothing compared to Nicholas; this man was absolute perfection. In response to being called perfect, a broad grin stretched across Arlo's lips, a faint hint of red touching his cheeks. When it progressed to Nicholas mentioning his desire to hug him forever, a cheerful hum escaped Arlo's throat at the thought. Years spent in his crush's arms sounded marvelous, bringing a warm feeling to the criminal's heart; how he wished for that. A quick snuggle was given to Nicholas, Arlo glancing up towards him.
"Millions of years in your comfy arms sounds incredible," he flirted back. "A perfect view and a cozy man to snuggle with."
The hellhound continued watching his precious crush, noticing him lean in closer. A smirk crossed Arlo's face for only a mere moment as he realized Nicholas wanted to kiss him on the cheek. Instead of allowing that, the short man tilted his head last minute in hopes that his crush would kiss him on the lips. After the Valentines Day dance, the criminal had been craving for another kiss from Nicholas, thus he made certain that it would be provided. He was motivated to feel the soft push of Nicholas' lips against his own, the memories making Arlo's heart beat faster in excitement towards the possibility. When Nicholas was blushing again, the hellhound released a jovial giggle, finding the blushing adorable. Hearing he was always welcomed brought a larger smile to Arlo's face.
"Perfect, because I always want to be around," he flirted. "Also, you are absolutely perfect, so you could beat me at that any day, hero."
A playful smirk crossed Arlo's face as he flirted, the hellhound clearly enjoying the moment. Witnessing Nicholas' cheeks flare with more red made the smile broaden; obvious Arlo was winning the blushing contest. At the mentioning of sweet tooth, the flirtatious look increased on the criminal's face. His red eyes watched as Nicholas joined him on the couch.
"Oh? Must be your own sweetness, cause I already have had a few toothaches from it," Arlo responded. "But your sweetness is addictive."
Once he finished speaking, Arlo leaned towards Nicholas, planning to rest his head on his crush's shoulder. There was the offering of cuddles after all, and the hellhound wanted to make certain he would receive them.
Nicholas enjoyed the snuggle that Arlo gave to him, not expecting the next comment from Arlo. Oh how I wish that was possible. He wasn't aware that Arlo was immortal. "Your so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet." He flirted back, trying to figure out how he would fluster Arlo so that he could win the flirting competition as well as seeing his adorable Arlo's face. When he had leaned in, attempting to kiss Arlo on the cheek, he hadn't expected Arlo to move, finding their lips meet and he melted into the kiss because it was enjoyable for him. He felt somewhat disappointed when the kiss had come to an end, he was going to have to find a way to get Arlo's lips pressed against his again, but how to go about doing that.... He made the comment about Arlo always being welcome, the more often Arlo came by the more likely he'd get to see him and that he would have more chances of snuggling and kissing Arlo.
To his great pleasure, Arlo flirted back claiming that he wants to always be around him. Arlo called him perfect but being called a hero made his cheeks blush a darker red. Despite trying to get Arlo back, his comment about toothaches backfired on him, not that he was complaining it was just clear to him that Arlo was so much better at flirting than he was. Given time, he was sure that he would be able to make Arlo blush more often. "As is yours." Nicholas wanted Arlo to know that he may have lost this time but it wasn't over, there would be next time and when it came he would make Arlo blush even more. Arlo leaned towards him and he wrapped his arm around Arlo's shoulder so that he could pull him closer to him. The hint the cuddles was a go, meant that they would be able to cuddle soon enough. "So adorable." He whispers, clearly relaxed with Arlo leaning into him.
Snuggling his precious Nicholas was pure bliss to Arlo, especially with his crush attempting to defeat him in the flirting competition. The compliments were wonderful, causing the hellhound to gleefully smile and feel the faint blush touching his cheeks. Being around his crush was incredible, making a series of heart flutters be produced in the young criminal's chest. He adored how Nicholas flirted back, the rather amateur attempts being viewed as sweet and cute. It maintained Arlo's attention, keeping his romantic thoughts fixated on the white-haired man who stole his heart across a crowded room. Other men were meager in comparison to Nicholas, the incredibly sweet hero that appeared to have only innocent intentions. There were many who arrived with naughtier intentions, making the criminal quick to retaliate and cut ties with them.
The smooth moves taken towards securing a kiss on the lips were successful, bringing emotions of exhilaration to Arlo. The feeling of Nicholas' soft lips pressed against his own; it made his emotions skyrocket. The blush on the criminal's face deepened slightly, his heart beating intensely against his chest. The enjoyment made the hellhound melt into the kiss with Nicholas, displaying a sense of comfort with the concept. Drawing away was a misfortune, but Arlo remained grinning from the tingling sensation playing across his lips; the kiss was amazing. Using his flirting prowess, the criminal had managed to get a vivid red blush from his crush. A giggle escaped Arlo's mouth as he looked at Nicholas' face.
"Soooooo cuuuuute," he flirted.
Once accepted into the comfort of Nicholas' arm, the hellhound snuggled into the shoulder, immediately comfortable with the position. A brief, overjoyed hum left Arlo's throat while he snuggled into his crush's shoulder more. Slowly, the criminal wrapped his arms around the hunter's waist, making certain to close all proximity. The compliment of him being adorable caused Arlo to smile wider, glancing up towards Nicholas' face.
"And you're super handsome and comfy! I could stay here forever!" Arlo responded cheerfully, continuing his cuddling.
Being granted permission for close proximity left the hellhound overzealous, making him consistently snuggle Nicholas. It was becoming obvious that he won the flirting competition, years of practice making it an easy accomplishment. Now that the competition was over, it was time to enjoy some time cuddling his adorable crush.
Nicholas couldn't help but find Arlo's giggle to be rather adorable. He would have to correct Arlo on who the cute one was later but for now, he needed to come up with some counters so that he could win this flirting competition, only for the sake of proving that he could do it of course. Arlo had snuggled into his shoulder, he couldn't help but blush more as he wrapped his arms around his waist, finding this closeness as addicting. He never wanted to part from Arlo ever again, it was easy to relax, finding this position as super comfy. Arlo's comment proved that he wasn't the only one thinking such a thing, "I want to stay here forever too." It seemed he wouldn't win the flirting competition today but there would be other days, he would prove to Arlo that he still got it.
He couldn't help but close his eyes, finding comfort by being cuddled by Arlo. He moved his other arm to pull Arlo into a hug, wanting to have him in his arms completely. Time seemed to pass by slowly, helping him savor in the cuddles they shared together. It was very difficult to want to let go, but there would come a point in time when he would have to depart from Arlo because they couldn't share the couch together, or the bed for that matter. The thought of it being even a suggestion made him slightly embarrassed. Hopefully Arlo would be okay with them being apart even if it was just briefly, right? He remained relaxed in his crushes arms, excited for the date that he had planned for them tomorrow.
Cuddling into Nicholas' shoulder was a marvellous idea as an extreme closeness was create between Arlo and his crush. The hellhound had essentially been invited into snuggling the white-haired hunter after an arm was placed around him. Gleefully, the criminal continued cuddling Nicholas, resting his head comfortably on the man's chest in an attempt to make his crush lay down. Laying with his head resting on his love interest's chest was a personal favourite for the flirtatious hellhound considering he could listen to the comforting rhythm of their beating heart. It was strangely soothing, creating an addiction for the position, although, Arlo could hardly complain should he remain unsuccessful. His current crush was proving to be excellent company, especially since they were already exchanging cuddles. When Nicholas mentioned desiring to be in this position, a broad grin continued to touch Arlo's face.
Everything was perfect considering the joy both individual's shared. The enjoyment increased when the hellhound felt his crush's other arm wrap around him. As time passed, the cuddling continued, leaving a wide grin plastered onto Arlo's face as he was granted an extensive amount of time with Nicholas. Thoughts were spinning through the criminal's head as he remembered he still possessed his crush's phone and the other necessity that needed sorting. Sleeping arrangements were required knowledge and Arlo was determined to be sleeping beside this divine hero who held his heart. With a grin marking his countenance, the hellhound glanced up at Nicholas, a mischievous giggle leaving his throat.
"Niiiiiic, where are we sleeping?" Arlo asked, placing emphasis on 'we'.
There was an innocent appearance to the criminal's eyes as he continued staring at his crush. Should Nicholas state they were sleeping separately, Arlo planned to take the man's phone hostage until they were sharing a bed. The hellhound's mind remained void of naughty intentions, the short boy truthfully desiring some night time snuggling while he fell asleep. Arms wrapped around him while he found comfort in his partner's warmth and company? It sounded like a wonderful way to drift into the world of dreams and he was determined to achieve it.
Nicholas felt his heart beating faster when Arlo had rested his head against his chest, with a little bit of pressure and he found himself laying on his back with Arlo on top of him. It seemed they were both in sync on enjoying this position but how long would it last before they would have to part ways, even if Arlo wanted to have the bed, he couldn't bring himself to share it, not when they had only just met. He opened his eyes when Arlo asked him where we were sleeping. It wasn't a matter of I, but a hint of them, implying that Arlo might have thought they were sharing a bed after all. I'll let him pick, surely there isn't a wrong answer in that, right? He thought to himself, somewhat worried about the possible answer he would get.
The last thing he wanted was to possibly upset Arlo but he had never slept with anybody before and to think that he would get the chance right now when they weren't even in a relationship, he found himself slightly flustered. "I was going to let you pick." He started, not wanting to run the risk of getting into trouble by suggesting one way or another. "But I've never slept with anybody else before so..." He took a breath before adding, "If you want the bed, I'll let you use it." He could sleep on the couch, or the floor.... He didn't remember that Arlo had picked up his phone, hell he forgot that he had even dropped it. The last thing on his mind was that Arlo had his phone and wasn't afraid to use it.
Settling his head against Nicholas' chest was proving to be an excellent choice as the slightest pressure caused the man to recline. A playful giggle escaped Arlo's throat as he snuggled his crush, obviously content with the position. The rapid thumping of the man's heart was easily detected by the hellhound's superior hearing, causing his grin to broaden. Quietly, the criminal enjoyed listening to the rhythmic beating, his body relaxing as he snuggled Nicholas more. While their time prior consisted of brief interactions, Arlo found himself discovering a strange comfort around the white-haired man, even warranting trust to him. The hellhound enjoyed being around Nicholas, which generated his determination to convince his crush to share the bed for the night. The concept seemed cozy, resulting in Arlo craving it immensely as he laid with Nicholas.
While he waited for Nicholas' answer about the sleeping location, Arlo continued snuggling into the man's chest. The mentioning of allowing him to pick made a cheerful giggle leave the criminal's throat. He adjusted his head, staring up at his crush with an overzealous grin on his face until the man continued. There was the statement about never sharing the bed alongside the notion of allowing him to chose; Arlo's choice being wherever his crush was. Immediately, the hellhound's expression shifted into a pout as he looked at Nicholas. It was obvious he would have to switch to more drastic measures.
"Buuuuut I want to sleep wherever you are... You're cozy," he responded. "Oh well, guess you won't get your phone back."
Quickly, Arlo pulled away, giggling as he jumped off the couch to create some distance. A playful smirk touched the hellhound's face as he turned to look at his crush, his hand reaching into the pocket of his sweater to reveal Nicholas' cellphone. The item was held close, the criminal not desiring for his crush to steal the phone; HE COULD ONLY HAVE IT BACK WHEN HE AGREED TO SHARE THE BED! While the actions could be considered rude given his crush's nervousness, Arlo found it difficult to resist because of his affinity for sleeping beside his love interests. Without the other individual, the room felt like a dark, lonely place where he struggled to sleep because of the foreign location. Currently, Nicholas was crucial for a good night's rest, thus the hellhound was determined to convince him to sleep beside him.
Nicholas felt like Arlo's giggle meant the answer had been acceptable. To his surprise, Arlo had proved him wrong when he looked at him with that huge grin on his face. That pout had caught him off guard, had it been something that he had said? The last thing he wanted to do was run the risk of upsetting Arlo. The comment had caused his face to blush from embarrassment when Arlo admitted that he wanted to sleep where ever he was at. That would mean either the bed or couch, he wasn't about to make Arlo sleep on the floor just to be with him. That threat about his phone had caught him by surprise, he wasn't even aware that Arlo had taken his phone. But the part that made him pout was the fact Arlo had moved away in the first place. Commmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeee baccccccccckkkkkkkkk...... He thought to himself as he slowly moved to sit up against the cushion on the couch.
When Arlo had pulled the cell phone out of the pocket of his sweater, he couldn't help but pout more over the fact Arlo felt a great need in being distant from him. "Arrrrrrlllllloooooooo" He flirted with his crush, "Why must there be distance between us?" He asked, reaching out playfully in hopes that Arlo would come back to him. Though it was true that he would like to get his phone back, he wanted Arlo to be closer first because he missed the comfort of his crush in his arms. Cell phone or sharing a night together? He thought to himself, flustered at the idea of more happening besides sleeping. "Just sleeping?" He asked, considering the idea of sharing the bed with Arlo carefully. He couldn't help but feel flustered at the idea of them possibly getting romantic when they weren't even in a relationship just yet. "If I agree, you'll come back to me?" He asked, wanting Arlo more.
There were moments where crushes needed to be taught lessons, and Arlo considering the current situation one of those instances. While his affection for Nicholas was more intense than his other crushes, the hellhound remained determined to gain his eternal love and lay alongside him. The idea of being in the warm embrace of a bed with the white-haired man while they slumbered was beyond tempting; it was a necessity! The blush that coloured his crush's face was adorable, but the criminal refused to return to the position until he gained confirmation on the sleeping arrangements. The evening would not be pleasant without him snuggling his Nicholas while they dozed off into the marvellous land of dreams. Witnessing his crush's pout made Arlo giggle as he stared at the hunter, a wide grin touching his face while he held the phone close.
A faint blush tinted the hellhound's cheeks when Nicholas continued pouting and whined about the distance with a flirtatious voice. Another giggle escaped Arlo's throat, shaking his head 'no' when his crush reached out playfully. He craved returning to those arms, but the objective remained; it would be difficult enjoying the embrace knowing it could be abruptly ended.
"Because Niiiiiiicccc, there will be distance when we sleeeeeep," Arlo said playfully.
There was an impatientness holding Arlo while he waited for Nicholas' response. He craved the incredible feeling of his crush's arms around him, but the criminal could not return to cuddling yet. While he stood away from the couch, he bounced on his feet restlessly in hopes he would receive the desired answer shortly. When his crush began inquiring about the festivities that arrived with sharing the bed alongside his return, a broad, toothy smile crossed Arlo's lips. Consideration was the start for gaining his desire for Nicholas to sleep alongside him. There was a determination to receive the amazing gift of having company during his slumber in the apartment; especially since his crush appeared to have no intentions of taking things beyond an innocent level. There was a deep affection for Nicholas, but the hellhound was completely unprepared for getting intimate and would be for a while.
"YES! I PROMISE!" Arlo exclaimed. "PLEASE NIC! PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASE! I PROMISE, JUST SLEEPING! NO DIRTY INTENTIONS AT ALL! I JUST REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANT TO SLEEP BESIDE YOU!"
The possibility of sleeping beside Nicholas was making Arlo jump up and down in excitement. There was an importance in the hunter's comfort, but the hellhound found the concept irresistible. Nights spent alongside a crush in a blissfully innocent slumber were always heavenly, thus Arlo could only imagine the intense divinity that would arrive with sleeping next to Nicholas; there could be nothing better.
