Restlessness claimed the bones of Brooks Porter as he paced around his office in the RCMP Headquarters of Lorsette, Newfoundland. Throughout his office, his eyes wandered as the cogs inside his mind endlessly churned. Compared to the cold outside where snow gracefully fell from light grey clouds, the inside of his office was a steady stride and shifting eyes. Only recently had the latest case been placed into his care for investigative analysis and searching. The expectations were placed upon his shoulders to dig through and discover the information required to come up with the solution.

The case revolved around a recent hit and run in the outskirts area. Limited people were around when the incident occurred as a black honda sped into a passerby. Many recorded the lights were red and it was time for the pedestrians to walk across the street, as indicated by the familiar hand symbol. However, the vehicle never ceased motion or even eased onto the breaks similar to most, rather it slammed the young man known as Lan Marble before veering dangerously into oncoming traffic and escaping into the evening.

As it currently stood, the victim was alive and receiving medical attention. Alas, the incident left him in rough shape and therefore, not speaking about it until his recovery was improving his condition. It left the case in Brooks' hands to gather information from witnesses and figure out the identity of the person inside the vehicles. Unfortunately, the dark-tinted windows of the honda made it near impossible to discern the individual's appearance and it failed to turn up during police patrols, suggesting it was registered elsewhere.

Without a license plate number, they were left trying their best to find the information... That is where Brooks wife came into the picture. An informant for the police, his wife was marvellous at finding new information to serve in the investigation. Thus, while he waited, Brooks conducted the desk work of gazing over forensic information, thinking over witness testimonies and gathering anything related to the current evidence. He was waiting, teeming with excitement as the spiderweb of possibilities panned out inside his mind.
[break][break]
On his desk sat lists of potential connections possibly guilty of the crime. The natural starting place allowing him to ponder and gather information about these individuals. He dived into their previous criminal convictions, but furthermore of anything that could insight rage. A few interviews were accomplished, Brooks having read over the carefully answered questions. All he required was more information, and he hoped it would arrive from his short-haired lover.
