Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

[attr="class","plotbg"] The sudden shift in plans still has him reeling. The chameleon lacked all capabilities that would have him be able to refuse the request of touring this new student around. The president of the school had said something along the lines of him running into Shib was fate... but he really couldn't help but wonder if it was more bad luck than anything. He spared a curious glance towards the other male. He didn't look as terrifying as half of the other students in his class so perhaps this experience wouldn't be as painful. He couldn't say no even if he wanted; the president was long gone and now all that remained was this boy and him basking in the awkward silence. He knew there was going to be a lot of moments like these. [break][break] Shib has only been in the school himself for three or so weeks now so he had been finally approaching that familiarly of knowing his way around but there were still locations he was getting used so there was some ounce of benefit for Shib doing this. "Um..." He finally speaks up after a minute of so or silent, his hand moving to rub the back of his neck. It was a nervous habit, so was his avoidance of meeting the others gaze. "It's n-nice to meet you... I'm Shib Parker." He pauses, hesitating to rapidly figure out what to say next. He forces a small bout of laughter while his shoulders shrugged. "New schools are always intimidating, huh? W-well! I'm going to be your guide but I might be kinda mediocre... so I'll just say sorry in advance... ha ha!" [break][break] Good one, Shib. You came off real lame -- He thought to himself as he sighed. His thoughts were always full of sharp comments like these which did sting. "What were you shown already... so I know where to continue from....?"
[attr="class","eristalk"]The first day of attendance as Lorsette High School could be described as interesting with a tinge of worry... The overwhelming excitement of being inside a mansion of a school placed Eris in a constant state of 'awe'. Compared to the school in Aria Village, Lorsette's was an expanse of endless classrooms, new faces and long hallways; there was another floor! Alas, what kept his excitement held under bated breath was the behaviours of some of his new colleagues... Initially, casual conversation occurred between Eris and the social-savvy class president.
Only to abruptly spiral out of friendliness after the 'so where did you come from' question. Apparently, answering with Aria Village was incorrect... The president's face had twisted into a disgusted flinch as an awkward laugh narrowly managed to leave his mouth. Moments later, he abruptly informed him there were other duties he was required to handle so he would quickly find another student to show Eris the remainder of the school. Yet, all that was shown to young Eris was the secretary office, principal's office and a couple of the nearby classrooms.
Silently, the bakeneko followed the child, disheartened by the unfolding events. As they passed curious students familiar with the president who inquired about the newest student, he found himself ostracized with the heavy emphasis on he's from Aria. Afterwards, the students were hasty to shy away from the new and officially outcasted Eris Abner. He knew the words Aria Village brought a frightful weight to them but never had he expected the magnitude... Through the larger hallway by the front office they ventured, the other student shortly finding someone to dump the new student on.
Unlike the others, it appeared the student body president was not as close with the purple-haired student he discovered. Hardly words were exchanged before the other student escaped down the hallway, leaving Eris with the stranger. An awkward smile touched the ravenette's lips as his throat rumbled out a heh sound. There were no introductions, rather, a nerve-racking venture into silence... Did he know too? Softly, Eris bit the inside of his cheek at the thought of being shoved around like an unwanted ghost.
The olive-skinned boy kept his hands hidden inside the pockets of his fashionably ripped jeans. His regularly optimistic views reminded Eris about Lorsette being a drastic improvement to the bully-ridden school jungle of Aria Village. A hand left his pocket for a moment to grasp the strap of his backpack, carefully adjusting it while he waited for something from his new tour guide. Part of the ravenette wondered if his style of clothing was considered weird, hence earning him the deadly silence. Most people avoided jackets with hex circles on the shoulders, and while his black t-shirt was heavily plain, the crow feather dangling from his left ear was considerably unique.
A few were surprised by his style, alas, Eris was searching for a toughened exterior. After everything he accomplished to arrive on Lorsette's doorstep, he kept the few qualities he could. One was an outward attempt to appear tough, a tactic implemented after the conditions of his previous school. Eventually, proper words escaped the mouth of the purple-haired stranger, who introduced himself as Shib Parker. The young bakeneko rewarded the student's efforts to speak with a soft smile.
"I'm Eris Abner, nice to meet you!" Eris responded cheerily.
He wanted to provide the impression of friendliness and benevolence to his fellow students. Something needed to break the Aria Village stigma, therefore kindness should manage that! ... Right? The nervous tones in his fellow student's behaviour somewhat perturbed Eris after being thrown away by his previous guide like a hot potato. Yet, those words displayed a lack of confidence from the student charged with showing him around the remainder of the school. Refreshed from the initial introduction and the boy's willingness to guide him, Eris maintained a semi-plastic cheery smile.
The optimistic part assured him things would progress smoothly this time around, but the concerns existed in the deep creases of his brain.
"Yeah... it's a lot bigger than my previous school. It's kinda overwhelming," he prayed he would not be asked about his previous school. "Also, don't worry about apologizing. I am sure you will do fine. At least if you're here, I am not wandering on my own."
The words were punctuated with a soft laugh in hopes light-hearted conversation would ensue. Despite his lonesome, friendless existence in his previous school, Eris hoped things would change with his arrival in Lorsette. Homelife proved better as a TRS member housed him and showed him the genuine family experience, which left a desire to improve school life. The inquiry about where he previous tour was met with a fragile smile.
"Uh... not much... I mostly seen the secretary area and a few classrooms on this floor... Then the president said he was busy, so," the bakeneko shrugged.
The words escaped his mouth slowly as he avoided recounting the president's peculiar behaviour leading up to the sudden change in the tour guide. He was under the assumption of the later he mentioned Aria Village, the better chance he held of finally making a friend somewhere. People were wary of the Assembly of Phantoms and already had it been showcased inside the schools in Lorsette as well. There were a select few sensible souls who judged Eris for his actions rather than roping him in with his parents and birthplace.
He wanted to increase the number of people who understood the reasons he left. The former Assembly trainee wished to better himself as his grandma desired for him before her passing.

[attr="class","plotbg"] Shib was always raised to avoid judging one based on appearance alone. His parents and siblings raised him better than that. To always give someone a chance personally before he went off and deemed them no good. Even now, Shib was doing his best to not do that but... when the chameleon faced the other male who was in such eye-catching clothes he couldn’t help but gulp nervously. He wondered if his fellow student here was one of those scary, no good students he heard his fair share of rumors about. He definitely radiated the vibe. [break][break]
Though... The cheery tone and sparkling smile of the male named Eris made him have to do a double take on the whole idea growing within his mind. Such friendly behavior didn’t match up with what he expected out of him when he looked like that. The chameleon sighs… he probably owes an apology to him now but that was a little awkward to come outright with. “Overwhelming? I understand… When I first came here I had been homeschooled up until that point so… this school is like really a big -- bam! In your face kind of place...” Shib tilts his head; the comment snapping him out of his thoughts. Shib understood that more than the other might’ve realized. Such a big school like this would be a lot to take in for anyone. “We can um… go a little slow if that would help you adjust better…?” If Shib tried to speed run this tour, it might be all too much for the male to intake. [break][break]
“I will say I do think it was very rude how you were thrown around like that. I don’t mind helping but still, you’re a new student. The president should’ve tried a little more at least…” He wondered how fast the president had been doing it for. Judging by how fast they rushed off after leaving the responsibility to Shib, he couldn’t help but assume not at the pace that would be best for Eris. “I think the best place to start would be places you’ll most likely actually go to…” There was no need for the both of them to extend all their energy on seeing everything in the school. Once he familiarized himself with the crucial places, he’ll become generally aware of the other misc rooms. Shib held his hands together without much thought and began to fiddle with his hands-- his nervous fidgeting habits kicking into gear. “If you don’t mind that! I just think… it would be a good idea.”[break][break]
“The school is pretty big and all… but most likely you won’t be going to every room on the campus anytime soon. A good place to start would be telling me your classes and we can go through them. Um… and then after that we can visit the standard areas like gymnasium… cafeteria, and stuff.”
[attr="class","eristalk"]The unfamiliarity in the air kept a subtle tenseness to Eris' body as he interacted with his fellow student. Most circumstances left the young bakeneko socialable and cheerful without a hidden fault, alas, this was different. Pre-judgements were created without a launched investigation to dive for the required information before making them. He worried for the prejudice he would receive because of the lingering stigma stappled to his head. Nonetheless, the young boy knew Lorsette was an improvement to Aria Village, where he discovered himself consistently glancing over his shoulder for danger.
The gulp followed by a soft sigh moments later was detected by Eris' delicate ears, however, he refused to allow cracks in his countenance surface. Although, panicked thoughts rushed over him like a river. Did he already know about his previous home? That the boy standing before him was a future Assembly puppet who never allowed the strings to latch on? The thought sent an ill feeling to Eris' stomach. Through it he maintained his smile, hoping to change any ill-opinions should they exist inside his fellow student's mind.
Although, fortune was discovered in the form of mutual understanding as the student agreed with the overwhelming state of Lorsette High School. Surprise flickered in his amber eyes, golden flecks shining in the lights of the school.
"Yeah! Just like that!" He happily leaped at agreeing to the explanation. "I've never been to a city school, so this place is a little crazy! I'm just glad somebody else gets it... But I can only imagine what it is like going from homeschooling to here... That is a lot scarier."
A soft sense of tranquillity drifted over Eris upon learning Shib understood the daunting pressure of entering the high school. The broadened smile on his face strengthen as comprehension of his emotions was hastily accomplished by the fellow student. He felt comfortable with the guide he was abruptly handed off to. It encroached him quickly those feelings of comfort, although, they were welcomed without hesitation. Almost as though a little voice in his head crooned words of easement into his mind. The offering of a slower pace brought forth a head nod at the thought.
"I would like that! Thank you," he happily agreed, adding words to his nod.
Appreciation tickled his words, a natural reflex to the kindness being offered to him. Traces of awkwardness arrived in Eris at the mentioning of the president. As somebody who knew the genuine reason, it caused some discourse in the young man. Although, he managed a shrug followed by scratching the back of his head.
"Yeah, but oh well I guess," he punctuated it with a nervous, half-hearted chuckle.
The ravenette quieted down, listening to Shib's plan to introducing him to Lorsette High School. A soft, genuine smile returned to Eris' lips as he heard the idea his fellow student had. Although, he picked up on the anxious fidgeting as he inquired if the plan was adequate. The bakeneko favoured him with a soft grin, his eyes glimmering again as excitement held him.
"Honestly, that sounds great, Shib. At least then I am not trying to remember all this at once," Eris responded.
He slipped off his backpack, keeping a hand on the strap. Inside would be the valuable slip of paper for the tour, his schedule.
"I should still have my schedule in here..." Eris mumbled as he unzipped the top and plunged a hand in.
For a few seconds, he searched before a soft 'ah-ha' triumphantly escaped his lips and he produced his schedule. Naturally, the basic stuff was on there, such as English, gym, and the acquirement of one branch of math class; although Eris took two in case one went sour. There was a roundedness in his schedule, a few classes taken out of interest, others to maintain open post-secondary options. It was the schedule of somebody still uncertain about their future. Other than the basics, biology, history, art and then a mere filler class being home ec.
He offered to show Shib, seeing as he lacked knowledge of what was the closest.
"This is what I am taking," Eris said quietly.
The paper possessed a grid of times and days, seemingly going into a pattern of an odd number and even number days. The daily classes primarily consisted of Eris' English and math classes while the others occurred every second day.

[attr="class","plotbg"] The chameleon can't help but to crack a large smile of relief. Having something in common put himself at ease. Being suddenly tossed into this scenario was rough on him but those nerves were gradually easing up with each sentence that fell out of the others mouth. He hadn't noticed but the fidgeting of his own body was no longer happening. His head shakes as his hand motioned in a dismissive manner. "It's totally crazy so no worries but... you have my assistance! Together we can conqure this place!" He speaks of it as if it's some horrifying challenge, much like a boss he loathed to face but really it was nothing more than your average high school. [break][break]
"You would...?" He pauses, releasing an obvious sigh of relief. "I was worried I might've said the wrong but..." It's comforting to know he read the situation right. "We can tackle things one by one then!" [break][break]
Eagerly awaiting further affirmation for his plan to take off it was favored by the other. His hands pulled apart as they returned to clinging at the side of his legs. Shib does notably perk up though when the words he had been desiring to hear reached his ears. It's obvious that it made the chameleon happy by how his beaming smile grew in size. How his body perked up in a jolt and leaned forward towards the other male. [break][break]
For his first tour.... maybe just maybe Shib was doing a good job? "Yeah... I just don't want to pack on so much on you at once. Having gone through that it was reaallly tiring s-so.... I know better than to make you go through that." Shib could only imagine that was what the president would've done to him if he weren't forced to take over the role. [break][break]
"Ah! Take your time finding it..." He knew the pain that was rummaging through your backpack. The thing was meant to carry supplies and yet at some times it felt as if his own bag was an endless void. Crucial papers or items up and disappear only for him to find them with ease when he dumped everything out back at home.[break][break]
When the schedule does come out is when Shib eyes the white paper from a distance until it's held out for him to take. "Let's see..." His eyes scanned over the words printed onto the slightly crumpled white paper. He had a few classes that were nearby each other so luckily their trip around shouldn't take that long! Shib nods his head, repeating the classes over in his few head to remember the places he'd have to go without the use of the paper.[break][break]
"Al...right! I think we're good to go..." He held the paper back over to him. "I think the best class to start with might be English? Math can follow since the classroom is nearby to that.."
[attr="class","eristalk"]A complete shift in tone arrived with their socializing. Discoveries were made as their interactions proceeded and learning of one another was accomplishing. Through his years at the deplorable Aria High School, Lorsette was already proving to be a significant improvement. Already, he found a student who made connecting easy, unlike the school's president. The comprehension between them brought a broadening smile to the young bakeneko's countenance. Already, hope filled him, warming his insides as the longer he spent with Shib.
Friendship was a seeming illusion during his days in Aria and now he stood, wondering if the possibility existed. No longer was Eris analyzing the body language being exhibited, rather, he fancied himself with their interactions. The fading of the fidgeting stayed unnoticed as the bakeneko enthralled himself with their mutual understanding. Somebody who could comprehend his position, even if Shib's transition was considerably worse. It comforted Eris and summoned the ability to relate with another individual.
Regularly, Eris discovered no such sentiments because of his radically different beliefs between him and the students of Aria's high school. The bakeneko cheerfully nodded at Shib's words. The manner Shib stated their conquering of the high school tour summoned a sense of excitement and energy to the ravenette.
"Yeah! With your help, I will know this place like the back of my hand! The young man cheered, excited about their upcoming adventure.
The manner Shib stated things, it reminded Eris of a great hero, stoic and powerful! A true knight in shining armour preparing to assist him, the young sidekick, how to venture through the jungle of high school! He bounced happily on his feet, from the balls of his heels to the tips of his toes in a subtle motion. In blissful happiness, Eris nodded at his courageous tour guide, already finding Shib a grand improvement.
"Yeah! It sounds sooo much easier! And a lot less scary," he gave a slight laugh as he scratched the back of his neck. "I was already getting lost on my first tour... Too much to remember..."
After another slight laugh, Eris' arm retreated to his side. The eased bakeneko's contentment was represented in his body language. Compared to the previous, he appeared more open while he happily bounced away on his feet. Energized by the improved social environment between him and Shib, it became easier. Anybody could tell, the young Eris Abner was an extrovert and fed off these interactions. It manifested bliss and established comfort for the bakeneko refused those concepts from the majority. An appreciative smile glimmered onto the dark-haired boy's face.
Rather than dump everything atop him similar to an avalanche, Shib displayed sensibility in his choices. The understanding mixed in with the logical decision made. It resulted in Eris feelings as though his emotions were considered and he was placed in good hands. As Eris procured his school schedule and handed it to the purple-haired boy, he quietly watched awaited for his verdict on a plan. The slightly crumpled paper was glanced over by the person acting as his tour guide. The white paper with a simple timetable displaying the places with room numbers below; it was why he kept it with him.
When the paper was handed back, a decision was made in regards to their tour plan. The ravenette nodded hastily at Shib's choices in regards to showing him the English classroom first.
"Alright! Lead the way," the bakeneko happily cheered.
The schedule was returned to Eris' backpack in the meanwhile. The student zipping closed the knapsack once the schedule was returned to the safety of his bag. Moments later, he swung the black bad over his shoulder, allowing it to land upon his back while his hand held the strap in place.

[attr="class","plotbg"] The bouncing of the other male had quite the reassuring effect on the chameleon. Actions spoke louder than any kind of words could for the young teenager. A way of telling him that whatever he had been doing was correct. That the male before him was satisfied with their conversations, the plans that were going to be unfolded throughout the tour session he'd be giving today. The enthusiasm of Eris's behavior only rubbed off on him too. He had wanted nothing more but to follow in his footsteps and brighten his own mood a tad bit.[break][break]
Perhaps he might even be able to shake that bothersome stutter that always effected him under high amounts of pressure. "Wow! Saying something like that hehe.... you're really so kind!" His giggles became increasingly loud as his shoulders bounced. "I can't promise I'm that amazing but if that does end up happening... should I be honored or surprised?" He hadn't been expecting for his tour to be that amazing but Eris gave him the feeling that it might. [break][break]
His hand motioned for the male to follow after him as his feet began to make it's descent down the long hallway. Shib had been moderate in speed; not too fast but also not too slow. Just perfect enough to where Eris could follow along without the worry of being left behind. The chameleon even went out of his way to turn his head and make sure he caught up so the two could continue walking side by side. Conversation would definitely feel much more natural if he stayed at his side like that. He also didn't want Eris falling back and feeling alone either![break][break]
"So... Eris..." As much as he wished to keep up on that hype train of emotion the reality hits like a truck. He couldn't just magically increase his skills in socializing. He hadn't been sure what kind of influence had been washing over him prior for him to be saying so much but now when the lack of natural topics ceased he was lost. A lump forms in his throat as his struggles to keep what had been natural conversation alive. "I-if you don't mind..." He smiles nervously, hands fiddling in front of him with one another. "What brought you here?" It wasn't the most unique of questions and even a little private. "If not we can totally talk about something else!!!"[break][break]
"Like... interests or... or what you're most excited for ...when it comes to starting a new school life!" His rambling of nerves allowed him to shove out conversation topics. Shib was feeling a bit of regret for what he had asked. It wasn't the best of ideas to ask something like that but it was much too late. Personal questions were usually no good off the bat but ones that were a lot more easy to discuss managed to escape his mouth. Shib fumbled on that one but what was said had been said. All Shib could do now was hope that Eris wouldn't dislike him for prying in a way most who meet for the first time shouldn't.
[attr="class","eristalk"]Thoroughly enthused by his tour guide, Eris discovered himself maintaining strength in his cheerful, sociable and friendly behaviour. Unlike the previously attempted tour guide, Shib managed to manifest a comfort between them despite the brief amount of time together. There was something about his fellow student's attitude that caused happiness to bubble and overflow. The energy was teeming through his veins upon his exposure to the purple-haired student. The anxieties were long removed from Eris' mind as the bakeneko experienced a well-needed dose of social energy.
Many factors caused Shib to exemplify a nature Eris found appealing. Specifically, the manner conversation naturally flowed between them after the initial introductions. Then, in addition, the shy student's comprehension of the emotions and circumstance allowed him to smoothly ease around him. The excitement sped through his veins, his bouncy, joy-filled movements gaining momentum the longer he spent alongside him. The bakeneko's amber eyes glistened in the artificial lights of the school, however, flickers of happiness strengthening.
A soft giggle bubbled out of Eris' chest as he smiled broadly. A joyous warmth radiating inside him, bringing him seemingly endless happiness.
"But I'm sure you are, Shib! I know you are!" Eris gleefully cheered.
Movements were coaxed by a simple hand gesture, bringing a smile to the bakeneko's face. The ravenette hastened his pace, accomplishing a light, brief jog to catch up to his tour guide. Once he reached his fellow student, Eris proceeded to walk beside the man deciding to show him around. Already, Eris' eyes flitted about the area, analyzing the school hallways with a broad grin and shining eyes. The moderate speed of their continuance was welcomed by Eris. It was perfect, allowing the young boy to drink in the sights and sounds of his new school.
As conversation returned, Eris' amber eyes returned to his companion. However, the question summoned a pang of concern to inflict on the bakeneko stomach. The reason for his arrival to Lorsette was the exact reason his former tour turned sour! Nervousness crawled over him, a pressure covering the back of his neck as he managed an anxious smile. He refused to lose this opportunity at friendship... He already enjoyed Shib's company a lot! Thus in his awkwardness, his brain narrowly churned out an answer.
"Um... it's nothing special," he responded, voice a few pitches higher from nervousness. "Talking about that other stuff would be a lot more interesting! I swear! An-anyways, I'm just excited to be somewhere else. You know?"
The bakeneko awkwardly derailed the conversation to his reasons for being in Lorsette. Was his dishonesty bad? Perhaps. Alas, Eris was terrified at the notion of losing somebody who seemingly held a promise of friendship. There was a chance here and the ravenette wished to take the opportunity.

[attr="class","plotbg"]Eris had been the spitting image of how he was when he was first made to take him out. It was relieving to see that he had helped rejuvenate the male from his unfortunate prior interactions. A joyous warmth radiated from him which was uplifting his own mood. It did good to have someone so positive around; his nerves that constantly sprung up were being washed away with each smile and sweet comment about Shib. All he did was treat Eris with basic common decency and yet Eris had been treating him as if he had been doing everything and more. It made him happy but also question small things- Did he not receive enough of this?[break][break]
"Ahhh if you keep being so nice to me I'm not gonna be able to handle it!" He giggles and came to a halt in front of a classroom. The time for diversion had arisen; saving him from the further praise he would've likely received. "This is the first class you have of the day! So! English... It'll most likely look exactly the same as every room minus decorations and all..." He then paused so he could take a few steps forward to point at the door that had been nearby to the other classroom. "Then the third door is your Math class, which is your second class of the day!" He nods. "The easiest way to remember is that you gotta go up the first flight of stairs for both of these classes."[break][break]
Shib scratched his chin as he recalled back to the list. "You also had biology and history....right? I think they're up one more floor and one's at the start of the hallway- the other is at the very end. We can go stop by since it's so close." He motioned for him to follow, retracing the steps he had taken prior. All they needed to do was go up a few more steps to reach their destination. He held onto the railing of the stairs as he spoke. "I forgot to respond to you but... being in a new place is always pretty exciting. School though, it's probably not going to be as fun as you may feel right now. It's always a bit stressful and things... so well I wish you luck!" He laughs as they reach where they were headed.[break][break]
Shib walked forward a few and peaked into the first class- his head pulls back shortly after and gave Eris a thumbs up. "Yeah this is History- I just had to make sure since I wasn't so sure." He pointed. "Biology has to be at the back, so the door hugging the right side of the wall is the class for it!" Shib turned to look back at him. "You got everything memorized? Want me to slow here for a moment so you can adjust before we continue?"
[attr="class","eristalk"]Eased by the differing treatment, Eris' attitude blossomed beautifully under Shib's behaviour. The comprehension of adjusting to a new location existed between them which assisted in maintaining a comfortable connection. The cheerful smile shining on Eris' countenance made the bakeneko's features glow as he followed Shib. His amber eyes flitted about, analyzing the long, locker-covered hallways of the second floor. Each door was accented in silver-coloured combination locks with only a small amount being of a different lock type.
Curiously, Eris' eyes gazed about, noticing the various motivational posters sterned across freed spaces. Additionally amongst the colourful school posters were those suggesting students choose varying career paths. The minor aesthetics of banners themselves exhibited the vast differences between Lorsette and Aria Village. In the smaller school, everything related to future occupations consisted of anything related to the Assembly of Phantoms. The village wished the cultivate consistent troops for the war against the TRS.
As Shib pointed out his classrooms, Eris nodded to exhibit his attentiveness. The first room pointed out was the English classroom. The idea of English brought acute excitement to Eris, his hopes targeting the possibility of improvements compared to the small-town school. The second classroom for math brought a brief wavering to his smile as he sighed.
"I don't like math... It can be so hard sometimes," the bakeneko quietly grumbled.
For a few moments, the amber-eyed scrutinized the math classroom door. Already, he could imagine the many math-themed decorations inside the classroom. The mere thought made Eris' mouth frown; he never excelled in math. When Shib began speaking, the bakeneko's attention returned to the purple-haired man. He nodded hastily, a soft 'mmhmm' emphasizing his confirmation of Shib's statement. As motioned, Eris followed after Shib, their steps returning them to the stairwell. As the initial steps arrived, every weighted step upon the stairs echoed, reverberating off the walls.
As they slowly made their way up the stairs, Eris listened to Shib. The reminders of school's stresses and everything not consisting of sunshine and rainbows.
He nodded as he spoke. "I know, I'm just hoping it is better than my old school, and so far it is!"
Together, they headed upstairs, reaching another floor of the school. Quietly, Eris followed Shib through the heavy stairwell door and into the next hallway. Immediately, Eris' eyes began scanning a similar locker-covered hallway, albeit, with different coloured pale lockers. Two more classrooms were pointed out, history was the closest and biology at the end of the hallway. The ravenette nodded, his eyes following Shib's directions.
"I think I will be alright, let's keep going," the bakeneko insisted cheerfully.
Once again, Eris' fixation was on Shib as he waited to continue forward. The young man was enjoying the tour, his companion managing to bring him tranquillity.
