Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2022
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
With April, an activity check has arrived for members to do! Please post on the AC and tag all your accounts, including WIPs and OOC accounts. Failure to post on this AC will result in your accounts being marked inactive or deleted. Please note, due to a late start, the due date for this check has been adjusted for one time and one time only.
Carter had a motto, not to fear until given a reason. Of course judging had moments of being difficult but he did try and refrain from doing so because everybody was unique in their own way. Sven had pulled his hand away from him, meanwhile having left his hand out, just because he wasn't going to let that bother him. So far Sven hadn't done anything wrong, so why should he give in to this fear and leave? Answer, he'd be damned if he was forced to submit to some random emotions when that isn't how he believed. "Natural or not, I still view it as rude and if people try hard enough they can overcome it." He mumbled back to him in return. "Unless your claiming to be fearful on purpose..." He added, unsure on how dangerous Sven was to him or anybody else for that matter. After making his comment, Sven looked back towards him to make his own in return.
"I just meant you seemed to take advantage..." He mumbled, shrugging his shoulders back at him. He listened as Sven claimed to be used to it by now because he has dealt with it for a very long time, a slow smug grin formed on his face when Sven mentioned how it wasn't normal for one to stay around him when he could make them feel threatened or terrified. "Maybe you lost your touch." He mumbled, in a playful manner, ignoring the sudden urge to want to bolt away, thanks to the fear ebbing off of Sven. "For that, I shall stay here longer now... I mean who knows, maybe you'll find me threatening or terrifying instead." He mumbled, clearly in a joking manner as he got revenge against Sven, whom he was starting to believe was trying to push him away on purpose.
Easy to find what's wrong, harder to find what's right.
Sven was silent from his words, shrugging slightly as he raised his glass to his lips once more. He really was an ignorant fool... He obviously wasn't exposed to the world as he probably thought he was. The reaper just allowed the young man to speak, almost debating on just tuning him out when he took notice of some smug grin forming on his face. Oh, great what now? At his words the older man just gave the other man another expressionless look as he stared at him. What was he even talking about? "You are far from anything remote to threatening or terrifying." He spoke dryly, obviously unimpressed with the man's words.
"Try to push your luck and you may find yourself with a broken arm." He added, shaking his head a little as he scanned his eyes over the crowd of people to see if he could spot a flash of pink hair or even his adopted son. They had to be there still, and he knew that the duo wouldn't leave him stranded lest they wished to fear his wrath that he was not hesitant to give either. "Do not think I say such things lightly." He told him, turning his piercing gaze back over to the young man that stood by him. Whether he picked up the man's joking tone or not was not revealed but the man was truthful in being not light on his words.
Carter had a smug grin on his face because apparently being nearby this long wasn't normal for Sven. To his surprise, Sven made his comment right back at him. "I was only kidding..." He mumbled, never really viewing that as a desire. Oh no, if possible he wanted to help people but he had yet to figure out what to do next in life because he was still waiting for his parents to come back for him. He flinched when he heard Sven's next comment. "All because I refused to leave in the first place?" He mumbled, honestly seeing no harm in lingering around Sven. Of course encouraging him to attack him wasn't on the to do list. He listened to Sven's last few words and took in a breath before speaking back. "I don't think it should be viewed as uncomfortable if it isn't normal for one to linger nearby you, despite being used to the distance. But I can see you want me to leave so I'll do so." He answered, not really fearing Sven's action, he just didn't want to deal with a broken arm or anything else broken in the process. "Good day." He answered before slowly walking away from him.
