Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

she was pretty sure she had taken enough pictures. she was debating whether or not to listen to music. was the tour guide talking if they had let's be honest she wasn't paying attention. this scene was best viewed quiet or with some good music. plus if she listened to music then she could pay attention to the people in front of her and make sure she didn't bump into anyone.
she searched the pockets of her jacket before finding her earphones. plugging them in and putting one in her ear while she brought up her music and pushed play. she stuffed her phone into her pocket. now that she wasn't taking pictures her pace had picked up quite a bit. though she still remained towards the back. if she was going to listen to her music, the less talking she heard the better. though she wasn't going to be rude. if someone were to speak to her she could still hear them. after all she didn't have her music volume set too loud and she had only placed on earphone in.
she really hadn't been focused on anything in particular. though it seemed the red haired boy had caught her attention once again. though she wasn't the only one looking at him.
Dimitri couldn't help but chuckle when he heard Scott exclaim in surprise. Oh the joys of being able to tease him. He peeked behind himself, having planned to look in the direction of Emily only to notice that Scott's cheeks were flustered. Then he noticed him looking at the ground, so he looked in the direction only to notice Emily, it appeared she wasn't paying attention to anybody only interested in her music. He had planned on saying something to her but changed his mind, instead looking forward before continuing to follow the tour. This was a good choice, coming out here today, he sure hoped that Scott was having fun. As for him, he found it alright, Scott being flustered made it all the better though, not that he'd admit it to him.

[attr="class","scotttalker"]Embarrassed, Scott froze in place, face completely red because of Dimitri's compliment. The remark made by his long-time crush made it difficult for the ginger-haired to compose himself. Unfortunately, matters were being made worse as Scott noticed everybody staring at him because of the outburst. He felt shoved under a spotlight as eyes locked onto him. Nervousness flowed through the younger kelpie's body as he realized what was happening. People's eyes refused to leave the green-eyed man's slender form, increasing the feelings inside.
Anxiety flowed through Scott's veins, hands quivering because of the eyes placed onto him. Breathing accelerated, the breaths shallow because as something horrible began stirring in the ginger-haired man. Heart palpitations occurred in Scott's chest, pain developing in his chest from the shortness of breath. Sweat accumulated on the man's forehead as heat swelled in his body. The circumstances were managed to cause distress from the situation he was forced into. Fear lurked in Scott's mind as the embarrassment enveloped him from the staring and his decisions.
It felt similar to public speaking... the symptoms of an anxiety attack suddenly burdening him. A whine escaped the ginger-haired man's throat because of his anxieties. He feared the gazes and feared the opinions that would transpire. At times, his social anxiety made these occurrences unexpected, but his nervousness about the dark-haired woman's opinion accompanied by the stares made him somewhat overwhelmed.
a small yawn escaped her lips as she reached into her pocket to pull her phone out and skip to the next song. it seemed that a few people continued to glance back. it wasn't until she saw that guy she had bumped into early, wasn't moving that she became a little curious.
it wouldn't hurt to ask if he was alright. after all she hadn't stopped moving even after he had his little outburst. she was nearing closer to him and it wouldn't take long for her to pass by him. she debated on saying something, after all his friend was there.
she kept her gaze down as she passed him. though she still had a feeling she should say something. she stopped before she was too far away from him and turned around. she cleared her throat softly before speaking softly."are you alright?"she studied him while she waited for answer. it was probably a stupid question, he almost seemed distressed. did she do the right thing by stopping?
Dimitri hadn't noticed Scott's breathing accelerate, having playfully walked ahead. Of course he turned around upon hearing the question to see Scott. He knew that reaction, his beloved Scott was having an anxiety attack. Oh hell no... He thought to himself, walking back towards Scott, without hesitation, he reached to pick him up to carry him bridle style. "Slow deep breaths." He whispered, attempting to remind Scott on how to calm himself down. If there was even the slightest chance that Scott would be unable to calm himself down, he had plans of running them back towards his car to take him to the emergency room. He couldn't help but feel grateful that Emily had taken notice of Scott, if she hadn't asked her question he fears he would have missed Scott's anxiety attack, meaning losing him possibly forever.

[attr="class","scotttalker"]Anxiety was a dastardly monster that squeezed Scott's chest as he stood, breathing irregularly. Fear manifested the ginger's condition, only worsening from his awareness of his symptoms. He could recognize the occurrences of his body, however, it failed to soothe him. Footsteps were heard, a voice reaching his ears, familiar and feminine. The young girl he bumped into was inquiring to his health. He quivered, heart-thumping, chest aching, his eyes slowly flitting to the long-haired teen who approached him.
Hesitantly, he shook his head in response to the inquiry. People were observing him because of his current ailment of an anxiety attack. Footsteps approached, the familiar form of Dimitri bringing the anxiety-ridden man some comfort. Closeness was created, Scott being scooped up from his standing position. He eased in the dark-haired man's arms, resting his head against Dimitri's chest for comfort. The sound of his crush's heartbeat soothed him along with the instructions of slow, deep, breaths. The ginger breathed deeply, filling his lungs before giving a shaky exhale.
He snuggled into Dimitri's muscular frame, finding himself comforted by his presence. The kelpie continued to breathe, his eyes remaining shut to avoid overwhelming himself. These moments made himself enter tranquillity, allowing himself to sink further into it as he practiced his breathing.
she couldn't help, but just stand there and watch. what was happening? was he going to be alright? was this her fault? a million things were just running through her mind. she had taken a couple of steps towards him after she had asked him if he was alright.
shaking his head she took a couple more."how can i help?"her question came out softly. she wasn't sure what she could do. it wasn't long before the guy that had been with picked him up. it kind of snapped her out of the trance she seemed to have been in. just watching this poor guy suffer.
she turned to glance around and noticed that more people were watching. surely he would be fine now that his friend was with him. should she say something? they were also concerned."it's alright, he'll be fine. we'll catch up."the words came out of her mouth as she urged people to continue on their way. slowly but surely it seemed like something stopped watched and continued on their way."is he going to be alright?"she found herself asking the red haired boy's friend.
Emily's question had caught him by surprise and he found himself giving a friendly smile right back at her. Dimitri felt Scott easing in his arms, finding comfort when Scott rested his head against his chest. He whispered breathing instructions, attempting to lead by example. Though Scott was taking in deep breaths, he had noticed that his eyes were shut. Maybe it was time to head home if not the emergency room, hopefully not the latter of the two options. "I think he'll be alright now." He whispered towards Emily, whether the question from earlier had been towards him or Scott, he took the liberty of answering it anyway. There were people watching them, he ignored their presence as he focused on trying to encourage Scott to continue with the deep breathing. To his surprise Emily spoke to the crowd, encouraging them to move along, because there was nothing to see here.
It had been a few minutes before he had answered her question but now he felt he could answer it without a doubt. "Yes, he'll be alright, he just needed to take deep breaths to calm himself." He answered, still finding Scott as adorable as ever, but would refrain from anymore flustering actions until they got home so that he'd be safe from the eyes of strangers. Slowly he started to follow after the crowd, "Thank you." He answered, glancing towards Emily, figuring she'd likely linger with them for a bit, until of course she chose to catch up with the rest of the crowd but as it stood right now, they were the last in this tour group.

[attr="class","scotttalker"]Deep inhales were followed by lengthy exhales as Scott attempted to soothe his anxious nerves. There were moments where the ginger-haired man got overwhelmed easily. Being spotlighted in a crowd of strangers had panicked him, his social anxiety manifesting the illusion of a worse situation than reality's truth. Eyes were squeezed tight as Scott snuggled his face deep into Dimitri's chest. The green-eyed boy listened to the soothing rhythms of his heartbeat, his breathing gradually replicating the example shown by Dimitri.
Questions and answers were exchanged, Scott remaining silent as Dimitri accomplished the responsibilities of being his voice. The younger kelpie opened his eyes slightly, his yellow-green eyes noticing the larger group ahead of them. The tourists were being led ahead while he comfortably laid in Dimitri's arms. The ginger's eyes glanced up at his long-time crush, finding comfort in the closeness of his face. Alas, the anxiety-ridden man felt as though he ruined their spectacular, autumn-coloured tour because of his reaction.
"... Sorry, Dimitri," he mumbled, unaware of the dark-haired girl nearby. "Did I ruin our tour?"
His voice was soft, seemingly tired as he snuggled the dark-haired man. The breathing remained well-timed as Scott attempted to sooth his nerves.
what was with her? normal she would of kept her mouth shut, but seeing how unwell the red haired boy was made her take action. clearly the group of people staring at him wasn't making things any better. the guy's friend responded and he didn't sound so sure, but he didn't looked scared. he was calm and it seemed like he knew what he was doing. he gave her a smile, but she couldn't manage one herself.
she stayed with them. just in case they needed help. at that point she had turned off her music and disconnected her earphones. if she needed to use her phone to call someone, it would be faster that way. she sighed with relief, it seemed like she had been holding her breath. this feeling was all to familiar. the feeling of uncertainty was one that she knew very well. the dark haired guy confirmed it once more."good, i'm glad."
figuring they would want to be alone."i'll go up ahead."she said softly as she started to walk away.
Dimitri listened as Scott took lengthy deep inhales and exhales, in his attempt to soothe his anxious nerves. Scott was snuggling against his chest and he couldn't help but feel pleased by it. So adorable. He thought to himself, happy to see Scott seemed to be doing somewhat better. It was a relief to have Emily nearby even though at this point he believed he had things handled. He confirmed once more and was pleased to hear her answer. He then glanced down to see Scott looking at him, whispering. "It is okay and no you didn't." He whispered back, somewhat surprised when Emily mentioned how she'd go up ahead. Before he had a chance to answer her, Scott was once more snuggling against him. "How about we finish the tour and I'll take you home." He whispered, choosing to not give Scott a chose in the matter as he kept walking after the rest of the crowd, as soon as the tour came to an end, he moved towards his car, pausing when he noticed Emily. "Thank you!" He shouted, before moving to open the passenger door for Scott to settle him in, with the plans of moving to the drivers side to go back home.

[attr="class","scotttalker"]Snuggled into the warm embrace if Dimitri's arms, Scott was hastily calming from the anxiety-ridden state he was previously captured in. His crush was a welcomed presence whenever his anxieties spiraled out of control and manifested a slew of problems. The ginger-haired boy leaned his head against the dark-haired man's shoulder as they walked down the dirt paths. Slowly, Scott's arms reached up and wrapped around his neck, creating stability and closeness. Inside his chest, his heart fluttered with nervousness from their closeness, but he managed to keep his breathing even.
Together, they walked as Dimitri mentioned not ruining their tour through the calico forest. It comforted Scott to hear those words escape his crush's lips. He listened as a feminine voice could be heard before being followed by footsteps. Now ahead of them was the black-haired girl from earlier who had tried to assist with his issue before Dimitri scooped him into his arms. He listened as Dimitri said how they could complete the tour, which Scott nodded in response. Throughout the remainder of the tour, Scott was carried.
The green-eyed kelpie remained comfortably pressed against the muscular man's figure, and he had no plans on complaining. When the tour eventually concluded, he returned to the car cradled in Dimitri's arms. A thank you echoed as the passenger's seat was opened and him settled inside. Curiously, he gazed out, seeing the dark-haired girl from earlier. He provided a shy wave as the door was closed and Dimitri got into the driver's seat. Afterwards, they headed home, Scott comfortable in Dimitri's comfort.
