appearance Jaimez is 5’1 with fair skin and a slender body covered in old scars. Long, red hair cascades down her back and is usually pulled up and tied with a black ribbon formed into a bow on top. Her favourite colour is red and is incorporated in some way into most of her outfits which usually consist of comfortable clothing such as sweaters and skirts. She occasionally prefers a sort of “school girl” style and tends to dress accordingly. Her bright red eyes are a sight to behold, generally accented with some sort of eye makeup. personality
Jaimez’ has a mean and spiteful personality, actively pushing people away and keeping her emotional walls up. When challenged she reacts negatively whether with violence or vocal harassment. Her anger and violent nature are products of a violent and unhappy childhood. Afraid of being vulnerable, she refuses to let people become close to her. abilities Healing - Strict Control - With a simple thought, Jaimez can effortlessly heal those around her. However, the larger or more lethal the wound, the more time and energy it takes to heal. The downside to this amazing ability is that she cannot heal herself with it. backstory TW: Somewhat detailed abuse, sexual assault, murder A long and tragic childhood left Jaimez scarred, physically, mentally, and emotionally. A product of rape, she began her life with a single mother who worked as a prostitute. The money she made was used to buy drugs and alcohol that would help her forget the trauma she went through. Barely ever paying attention to her child, Jai was cared for by the elderly woman living in the apartment across the hall. When she was five, her mother brought a man home and he began to live with them eventually marrying her mother. The man was an alcoholic and a violent drunk who would continually beat the woman into submission. Eventually that wasn’t enough and he would assault her sexually as well as physically. When she’d had enough, Carrie offered for her child to take her place and Richard agreed. Jai, now seven at the time was home alone the first time it happened. Carrie was out working and Richard had just returned from a day of heavy drinking with his buddies. Bored, he went into the tiny room where Jai slept and yanked her violently out of bed before throwing her at the wall. She began to cry and pulled herself tightly into a ball. He screamed at her to stop crying and kicked her in the side, repeating the motion till he was breathing heavily, he then threw her back on the bed and proceeded to hurt her in ways she couldn’t understand at the time. This horrific process was repeated almost every night for 6 years, each time she fought less until one night she snapped. She could no longer take the abuse and, in a rage, smashed a vase over Richard’s head and proceeded you beat him black and blue until her fists bled. Jai then picked up a broken shard and sliced at him till his face was too disfigured to be even remotely identifiable. Leaving the body behind, she ran from the apartment, never looking back. Despite being only thirteen, she was able to find a job bussing tables at a small café before moving to Lorsette two years later. misc - Jaimez’ favourite colour is any shade of red - Jaimez was nine when her powers first manifested.
