Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!

The noises continued, Clyde's eyes fixating as a cat scurried out of the alleyway. He watched the calico flee, sighing with relief from the lack of potential threat; a dark alleyway on a cold day reminded him of horror movies. There were a few moments spent witnessing the feline leave, the lycanthrope preparing to follow suit. The delicate nature of his hearing alerted the male towards another presence as he turned around, venturing deeper into the alleyway. The sounds of hiccups, whimpers and the faint sounds of murmured words narrowly reached the lycanthrope's ears as he continued down the moss-covered alleyway. The large male's eyes searched, noticing the bottles that littered the innards of the alleyway. Upon entry, the doctor's eyes darted around the surroundings, following the trail of beer bottles with a faint curiosity towards the source of the noise. The feeble voice who murmured the words sparked concern, the lycanthrope's kind nature compelling him forward.
"Excuse me? Is somebody here?" He inquired softly.
Footsteps were light, Clyde exploring the alleyway, nose managing to smell the various scent. The strong, ugly scents of alcohol enriched the location, accompanied by garbage alongside a familiar scent. There were numerous moments were the intense, metallic scent would disturb the intense cleanly atmosphere. Blood, the iron smell reaching the lycanthrope's nostrils and automatically placing the benevolent man on edge; an instinctual reaction from the wolf within. The steps hastened, Clyde, searching for the injury or the unfortunate victim of death's cruel embrace; either way, somebody could require his assistance! After passing by a stack of boxes, his bright green eyes shortly locating the injured individual. Immediately, they widened as the lycanthrope fixated on the unfortunate young man surrounding by several bottles of liquor as he nestled in old newspapers against a brick wall.
The scent of alcohol was condensed in the location, validating any suspicions of the mysterious, young man being a drinker. Sparks of flame lit through the ravenette's hands, appearing to be a desperate attempt to gain some definition of warmth from the frigid winds. Blood was evident down the poor creature's legs, displaying the possibility of injury or something beyond the notion, although, there were no visible wounds. Various scratches adorned the young man, Clyde flinching at the unfortunate condition as he began pitying the drunken male. Exposure was obvious by the desperate attempts to retain heat, bringing a gentleness to the large man's eyes. Slowly, the lycanthrope stepped towards the man, kneeling to get a better survey of the individual. Clothing was limited, Clyde managing to notice that the young man merely possessed a meagre tanktop that covered his torso. Witnessing the individual's misfortune tugged at the redhead's heartstrings as he continued analyzing.
"You seem like you need some help," Clyde murmured. "How about you come with me? I can help you."
Afterwards, the lycanthrope offered his hand towards the stranger, thoughtless towards any possible danger. Benevolence intermingled with naivety, Clyde becoming confident to assist the individual despite his appearance. There was nobody else around displaying a willingness to assist a complete stranger and Clyde was already aware the guilt would gnaw through him should he continue walking. Ignoring the young man during these cold temperatures was risking the possibility of him dying from exposure on the streets. The lycanthrope was always inclined to assist the misfortunate, his natural kindness sometimes making him the victim of the more sinister with a frightening ease. There were thoughts taken towards what exactly Clyde could accomplish at the moment, his green eyes flitting around and noticing the bracelet. A temperature regulating charm, a piece of magic that could defend the unfortunate male from exposure.
Momentarily, Clyde withdrew his hand, slipping off the bead bracelet that ringed his large wrist. It dangled from his fingers, the doctor offering the unfortunate man a friendly smile to attempt to gain trust. Wounds, sickness or general weakness resulted in wary patients and the lycanthrope desired to destroy those walls of mistrust; it made progression towards a healthier condition smoother. The bracelet was shifted into Clyde's large hand, offering the piece of jewellery to the man.
"Here, put this around your wrist. It regulates temperature, so you can start feeling a bit better, okay? Then once we are somewhere safe, I can get you bundled up," the lycanthrope offered.
Benevolence touched the large man's voice as he continued smiling, attempting to make himself appear less intimidating; his protruding lower teeth accidentally accomplished that at times. There were prayers sent that Clyde could manage to earn the small man's trust, the desire to help began to orbit through his mind; somebody needed to help people, individuals who met the cold hand of misfortune.

A gentle grin remained evident across Clyde's face as he approached the individual who was also traversing the battlefield on this pleasant afternoon. The scenery was divine and gaining the opportunity to converse with a stranger sounded like an excellent way to proceed with his vacation day. Slowly, he shuffled through the grassy field, maintaining some caution for the floral life that inhabited the vast field; he always possessed an affection for flowers. The friendly wave was returned, the lycanthrope feeling welcomed to venture closer to the individual. As he approached, the doctor began analyzing the individual's appearance, from the long, white hair to the lean, muscular condition of their body. Based off an initial glance, this stranger was healthy, but nobody could be aware of the possible medical illness hidden beneath a healthy exterior. The bag was kept close, supplies safely secured within the satchel; there were still herbs to gather after all.
Hailing from a family of botanist oftentimes resulted in Clyde creating natural medicines from herbs that were not magically inclined. It made him favourable towards individuals who preferred herbal compounds opposed to magic or pharmaceutical drugs. Once Clyde was closer, he ceased walking, providing a broad, friendly grin towards the stranger. While the individual spoke, the lycanthrope remained unaware of the evident suspicion the person possessed, although, managed to notice the professionalism within their voice. Years of working within a hospital allowed for the large man to easily pick up on certain tones, however, suspicion was rare. Silently, Clyde listened to the individual, the inquires earning the lycanthrope's attention quickly as his eyes fixated on the white-haired person.
"Exactly why I ventured out here," he began with a grin. "The natural beauty of the floral life across this field attracted me here, although, I was searching for herbs initially." A gentle chuckle escaped the man's throat as he paused. "As you can tell, I got distracted by the flowers. Are you out here for similar reasons?"
There was a slight hint of red that touched the lycanthrope's cheeks as he sheepishly admitted to getting distracted. The chuckling continued for a few moments, a grin continuing to stretch across Clyde's face. Fortunately, he possessed the entirety of the day to gather herbs for his medicine recipes passed down through his family. While he waited for a reciprocated answer, the lycanthrope's eyes wandered around the field, glancing over the numerous flowers covering the battlefield in a colourful array; it was breathtaking.

The evening had remained a lengthy and restless night for Clyde. There was a new moon during the night, thus the lycanthrope gained the fortune of being unable to transform without control, but cursed with a drain on his abilities. The realization was exploited by the Assembly, who demanded he arrived to work through the evening on the sick and injured. The summoning had been sudden, leaving the redhead with a limited amount of time to sleep and prepare for work. Furthermore, the doctor's vehicle was being repaired after some strange noises began abruptly being made. It resulted in a long, tiresome walk into the outskirts to work for extensive hours on the numerous patients supplied by the Assembly. There was fortune in being capable to have a small nap before venturing out in the early hours of the morning.
Slowly, Clyde walked with a weariness in his eyes and shuffle to his steps. His red hair was more dishevelled than usual while his professional clothing had a minor disarray. Flecks of dirt touched his white dress shirt, the vest being spared as a result of its dark shade. There was a collection of dirt on the cuffs of the man's pants from accidentally stepping in a few puddles on his desperate run to get to work. Smudges coated the lenses of his thin-rimmed glasses, thankfully, they were barely visible for passerbys. The morning itself was cold with a chilling wind blowing through the buildings, the lycanthrope fortunate to possess his temperature regulating charm; he nearly forgot it last night. Clouds speckled the sky, a majority dark and suggesting the arrival of rain once they gathered. The people who passed by dressed accordingly, Clyde noticing their warmer clothes alongside strange countanences at his untidy appearance. The gazes made the lycanthrope self-conscious as he continued weaving his way hastily through the outskirts.
Normally, he would be properly dressed, displaying a pleasant and clean appearance considering his affiliation in the medical world. An extensive amount of time would have been taken towards preparations if the Assembly had managed to contact him sooner, although, the benevolent man remained unable to blame them. What if the sudden requirement of medical personal was unexpected? There could have been inadequate phone service in the vicinity or another medic could have fallen ill and needed to be taken home for proper rest and relaxation. There was an endless amount of reasons for the delayed phone call that Clyde could think of, ultimately defending the individuals who abruptly interrupted his sleep. As he continued walking, the large man shoved his hands into his pockets in a futile attempt to create a professional composure despite his dishevelled appearance. The lycanthrope glances around, noticing some of the buildings that remained in poor condition; they were common within the outskirts.
Oftentimes, criminals conducted their occupations within this section of Lorsette, but Clyde never thought about the possibility of illegal activity. Everybody who passed by him received a weak smile as tiredness began infecting his expressions. Slowly, he continued, never wondering about the questionable appearances of the occasional citizens who hurried by. The lycanthrope's eyes wandered, curious about the outskirts from lack of familiarity; he usually limited his amount of time here, even managing to convince Assembly patients to meet him in the wilderness where lurking eyes were fewer. The gradual moving through the outskirts was continued, the lycanthrope beginning to feel an increase in his weariness. A gentle sigh escaped his mouth as he paused by an allyway, his eyes glancing down the dark and damp place between a pair of buildings. Dumpsters and boxes littered the area, a wooden fencing being a backing to it.
The large man paused at the threshold, eyes searching in a strange curiosity at this place. As he continued scanning, he noticed the green moss that settled in the shaded sections, up against one of the buildings. It suggested a consistent dampness, shortly proven as he noticed a rain barrel obscured by the numerous boxes. Timidly, Clyde took a few steps inside, wondering what other life forms could enjoy the moist allyway. The lycanthrope's eyes travelled, noticing the mixture of cement and stone that formed the allyway. There were pieces of grass poking through the cracks in the stony floor, pleading for sunlight as they reached towards the skies above. A few smaller plants remained hidden within the darkness, desperately hiding from the sun. Inside the rain barrel were small water boatman bugs that swam across the surface before hiding within the murky depths of their watery realm. A few moments were taken to watch the beetles in faint curiosity until the lycanthrope was startled by the sound of movement, the large man tensing in fright.

The warmth from the summer sun embraced those below, the breeze being the subtle relief to the immensely high temperature. Gradually, the time had progressed to noon when Clyde had escaped the wonderfully cool temperatures of his small home. Despite the heat, the lycanthrope wore a white dress shirt alongside a pair of darkly-coloured slacks. Carefully, his glasses remained stationed on the bridge of his nose, the thin frames holding the small, rectangular lenses. His hair maintained the usual styling, with a majority of the red locks being swept to the right side while his facial hair was well-groomed. There was a small bookbag against his hip that carried numerous books with information about plant life. There was a craving to traverse the wilderness around Lorsette, curiosity drawing him towards the plentiful wonders of the outdoors. The allure of plants, especially flowers, is what captured the large lycanthrope's attention for exploration.
This was one of the rare occasions where the redhead possessed a day off from the stressful occupation of the medical profession. The walk through Lorsette was slow, the muscular man smoothly weaving down the sidewalks that led towards the wilderness that surrounded the city. For a moment, he paused to admire the trees of the Calico Forest that reached towards the skies above. The gentle rustling of the branches above was soothing as the man entered, already finding his senses exploring the forest. The refreshing scents of nature, the relaxing rustle of life and the beauty of the colours and light playing across the numerous trees. There was a slowness to the man's steps as his green eyes explored the sublime appearance of nature on a beautifully warm afternoon. A smile stretched across his lips while he continued through the majesty of the Calico Forest during the summer months; he could only imagine the spectacle that autumn would create once it arrived.
There was a lack of concern when the lycanthrope ventured through the forest, his Assembly ties protecting him from the vicious terrors or horrible members. While Clyde could not personally agree with the group's motivation, his hatred of injury resulted in an impulsive joining of the Assembly. There were people who required help and the TRS had both their personal medical ward alongside the hospitals across the globe; somebody also needed to assist the weaker Assembly members. Thus, despite the sinister intentions, Clyde found himself becoming connected with the heinous individuals. Slowly, the trees began gradually thinning and the ground began growing rougher as the lycanthrope continued walking. The scene ahead of him shifted, displaying the rolling plans scarred with ruts and various other forms of unfavourable walking terrain, although, a smile remained on the man's face. Hidden amidst the waving grass were delicate, precious flowers, their faces poking up from the depth of green. Slowly, he entered the location, his mind recalling the eerie statements of battles fought here.
The place was once a battlefield, the ground soaked in blood while the harsh screams of soldiers entered the air. Calamity touched these fields as families were ripped apart and people were constantly lost. Millions had remembered this location as their final resting place as the fatal blow was struck upon them. The concept contrasted the peaceful meadow that extended across the terrain, displaying the newfound peace after the unpleasant battles. As Clyde entered the field, he glanced around at the wonderful flowers and their various colours. Casually, the doctor's eyes gazed across the calming landscape, finding it incredible despite the lack of action in the area. Only a few moments of walking allowed for the lycanthrope to notice the subtle scent of another presence, his eyes flitting in the direction as he strolled up one of the larger hills to discover an individual he remained unfamiliar with.
Another grin touched the lycanthrope's face as he waited for the stranger's eyes to gaze his way before waving; he wanted to avoid startling the poor fellow! There were no thoughts taken towards the possibility of the other person being threatening as Clyde fell victim to his naivety. Slowly, he walked down the hill with gleeful intentions of perhaps enacting brief conversation.
Noticeably, Clyde is an incredibly large man towering in at an entire height of 6’5” which makes him taller than a majority of people. His shoulders are broad and muscular, giving him a bulkier appearance. There was numerous muscles lining his body, making the extensive amount of time taken to physical exercise obvious by a mere glance. This has resulted in his limbs possessing a larger appearance as a result of the numerous muscles that line them. His stomach is flat, having abs lining it due to years of physical activity alongside a healthier diet. When it comes to his hands, they are best defined as large, his muscles making it incredibly obvious that a punch, even without his enhanced strength, would hurt. A fair complexion is Clyde’s skin which has the occasional scar on sections of his body; this being a result of his hesitance to seek magic-based treatment. These are mostly pale lines from injuries that he allowed to heal naturally. The most noteworthy scars are a thick, pale trio of claw marks that are located on his right bicep from the lycanthrope that turned him.
As of facial features, the initially noticed traits of Clyde’s face is the distinctive underbite that displays his most notable lycanthrope characteristic which are a pair of particularly sharp canines on his lower jaw. They protrude from his mouth and oftentimes gives a more menacing appearance to Clyde. There is a chiseled look to his face from the sharpness of his nose down to his chin. His red hair is frequently groomed, brushed back and towards the left side of his head and reaching down into a pair of sideburns. The bangs sometimes manage to drift down into his eyes do to the semi-length of his fairly short hair. It is noticed at times that his hair is incredibly soft to the touch. There is a shaggy appearance to his hair when the full moon draws closer which makes Clyde’s restlessness around those times more obvious. Behind a pair of rectangular lenses are a pair of bright green eyes that often hold a soft appearance to them. The glasses possess a thin wire appearance and are consistently worn as a result of Clyde’s poor eyesight.
Clothing wise, Clyde has a favoring for formal clothing which includes white dress shirts, vests and suit coats. The collars tend to be done up towards the neck, rarely being loosened unless the day/area is immensely hot. He wears these variety, usually exchanging colours and styling depending on his mood. Loose-fitting slacks are a frequent for Clyde and they are usually held up by a belt of dull monotone colours; blacks and dark greys. The necessity for professionalism is maintained as a result of his job as a doctor. During work hours, he is frequently wearing his white coat since it is the usual expectation. There is more variety taken on more leisure days, Clyde occasionally dressing in more casual clothing opposed to the restricting fabrics of formal wear. He also has a tendency to wear this type of clothing when he is carrying out his work as an Assembly medic since it allows for blending in. While lacking any notable jewelry, Clyde is fairly known for the weapon he wears on his knuckles. The weapon itself is shaped in a silver cross with a ruby gem in the center surrounded by a slightly extruding circle of silver. Similar ruby coloured inlets stretch out towards the end of each extensions of the cross, remaining in the center. This is designed to add extra sting to the force of his punch, although, it is rarely used. Constantly, there is a bracelet around his wrist which is designed to help control his transformations.
In his lycanthrope forms, his hair maintains a russet colour, the fur gaining a slight brown to the red. His wolf form remains similar to a red wolf, but his appearance continues to lean towards being stout and large. The fur has the messier characteristic a majority of the time since Clyde is oftentimes restless prior to transformation. More controlled transformations have the possibility to provide a smoother appearance to the fur. In beast form, he is definitely larger than the average lycanthrope beast considering he grows taller in height. This form commonly reveals the lengths of his muscular body, the bulky appearance remaining a common theme for Clyde. In both forms, his scars from being transformed are displayed.
Enhanced Strength -- Intermediate The ability to access strength beyond that of a regular human, allowing for supernatural achievements in strength. There were rarely instances where Clyde was required to boost his strength considering is already a large man. As a result, the ability was accessed infrequently after his lycanthrope transformation. While Clyde still has full access to the ability, he only truthfully activates it himself when against others with a superior sense of strength. He can overpower others easily, but those with the same or improved control possess the chance to overpower him. Due to not using the ability often, it can occasionally spark shout somebody manage to make Clyde angry, although, even these instances are not common. The lack of use has left Clyde’s muscles inept to the punishing ordeals of enhanced strength, meaning that he can suffer from soreness and stiffness after using the ability. Depending on the extent, it can become worse than a few sore muscles and a little stiffness; he can be bedridden for a few days should he over-use the ability.
Enhanced Speed -- Advanced The ability to access speed beyond the bounds of a regular human, allowing the user to be incredibly fast. Surprisingly, Clyde found use in enhancing his speed to be incredibly useful in his line of work. After practicing the ability, Clyde oftentimes uses it to get tasks quickly done and to visit his numerous patients. Due to his practice, Clyde has a heightened reaction time, allowing him to catch falling items and a resistance to the strain caused on his muscles. The strain that gets placed on his muscles can still cause soreness and stiffness, but Clyde can usually take this ability further than his enhanced strength. Despite his adeptness, speed and momentum remain problematic with the ability. If Clyde is going to fast and attempts to suddenly stop, he could accidentally run into a wall. The primary issue with the ability is that the faster that Clyde pushes himself, the more energy the ability can drain. Using it sparingly for his occupation allows for 8 hours of usage, but in a combat scenario where he will likely being using it more frequently, it could only last about 1 hour. Injuries to Clyde’s body can also hinder usage, making his mobility slower as a result of the injury.
Wolf/Beast Shifting -- Intermediate The ability to shift into a the form of a wolf or wolf-like beast depending on the user’s desires or the moon cycle. Whenever Clyde desires, he can transform into his feral form (exception of new moons) or take on the form of a wolf. Similar to most shifting creatures, transforming takes time and depending on the moon phase, it may be a longer or shorter time. While Clyde is capable in transforming, there is a lack of control as to when his transformation will activate at times. Anger can result in his feral form attempting to surface, although, this is usually rare. Mostly, the moon itself posses the problem of unwanted transformation. Due to the intense power received as the moon becomes fuller, Clyde is prone to transforming into his feral form without attempting to. At times, this can cause him to act more animal than human as the full moon becomes closer. While he can maintain a calm disposition a majority of the time, he will become a sucker for pets, dog toys, raw meat and even a game of fetch; which is rather embarrassing. As time progresses, his nights become more restless, making sleep incredibly difficult for him. Usually, he wears a charm to avoid this, but this does increase the amount of time taken to shift when he wants to.
Immortality -- Natural Formerly being an immortal gifted, Clyde has retained his immortality. Like all immortal gifted turned to lycanthropes, this is the only ability he has kept. His immortality only ceases his aging, otherwise, he is a regular lycanthrope.
Moon Connection: Like all lycanthropes, his abilities are connected to the moon. Usually, they are at their peak during full moons and at their weakest during new moons.
Naturals: Enhanced Senses, Enhanced Endurance
backstory
Before the common plight of terrors and the Assembly was when Clyde Vellese was born to a family of physicians who were notorious for using natural medicines opposed to the wonders of potions and various other magical means. Each family member were gifted, a majority of the gifts revolving around their capabilities with herbs which allowed for well-crafted medicines to be formed. They were popular among those who were neglected among magically inclined healers or that possessed a distaste for magic-based healing methods. For the most part, the Vellese family was prominent around London, England during the medieval period. When Clyde himself was born in 1319, the expectations were placed upon him to hold the usual familial occupation revolving around medicines. It resulted in Clyde growing up around plants at a young age, especially since his parents were botanists as well as physicians. The atmosphere of which the boy aged in constantly carried a feeling of serenity which influenced the young, impressionable Clyde to gain a calm disposition. During his tender years, his family sheltered him from the struggles between the various species, making him unfamiliarized with the hatred certain specie groups possessed for one another.
Private school was commonly attended by Clyde, his parents fearing the possibility of their son being wrapped up in the horrifying reality of the world. People despised one another, certain species were mistreated and his parents desired for him to never witness it. While this was impossible, they kept attempting to shelter their young son from the negative effects of the world. This left a naive viewing of the outside world from an incredibly young age. During his youthful years, he made a few friends at his private school, but tended to notice the odd separation between the students based around Heaven and Hell. During those years, Clyde never mentioned or truthfully thought about. Years drifted by lazily until at the age of 12, the young gifted saw a pair of students fight in the hallway. They threw blasphemy at one another, making it obvious that they disliked each other; but the fact that they were an angel and a demon stood out. Time continued, Clyde beginning to notice the patterns by glancing over the people his parents treated and the interactions that occurred in public. For the young boy, it was strange to think that he had been living in a world of immense hatred for numerous years. The verdict was refused, Clyde believing the possibility of two species groups holding these intense feelings of loathing. He wanted to maintain that naive view, only seeing the innocent features of life; perhaps someday everything would be peaceful.
Immediately after private school arrived university as Clyde obeyed expectations set by his parents. He was taught to be a physician with some minor courses featured around botany since his family strived in making natural medicines. During these years, Clyde fixated immensely on his studies alongside a small group of friends. While a majority of his companions were flirting with their respective gender of choice, Clyde oftentimes sat quietly in the background never pondering those concepts. His parents insisted that after university he settled down to raise a family, but the young man found it difficult to merely pick somebody; he wanted to have an attachment before even thinking of those matters. It felt crucial, almost like he could not date someone without knowing plenty about the individual unlike others who enjoyed learning more through dating. He always felt strange for seemingly lacking the natural instinct to attempt and attract a mate, but he shrugged it off. As time progressed, Clyde hastily graduated school and entered the workforce. For the first few years, Clyde mostly worked alongside his family who wanted to assured that their son was prepared for the world; it was the usual parental fussing.
Around 1346 was when everything shifted massively as the Black Death swept through Europe and people were constantly flooding the hospitals. Plenty of time was taken towards patients, some seeking magic means of healing while others were consistently refused from lack of money or based on species. This resulted in Clyde’s family getting an extremely large portion of the these unfortunate victims who needed medicine. The naturally made medicines struggled to heal the sick, resulting in numerous people dying as a result. The air always seemed to possess this sickly feel, making Clyde worry constantly about illness as time continued. A majority of their patients were people refused by doctors and those who hated magical means of healing, preferring naturally made medicines. While plenty of his family worked in London, it remained difficult to assist the flooding of patients who entered through the doors. They constantly felt weary as they worked hard towards making certain that everybody within and outside of the family remained healthy. They were some of the few people who would overlook medical fees in order to assist others, making for a hefty workload for the family. While food and various other goods were provided at a lower cost as a result of their goodwill, the family was still dragging their feet as a result of exhaustion.
During one of the moments where Clyde was gathering supplies, he stumbled upon a sickly young man. As a result of his kindness, he brought the man with him to the house for medical attention. The unfortunate patient remained unconscious a majority of the time, finally awaking to medical conversation alongside a doctor who remained too close. The uncanny sharpness that the patient’s nails held easily teared through Clyde’s clothing, leaving a trio of nasty cuts. The patient was restrained while he was escorted out of room and the cuts were treated for infection and wrapped in bandage. Despite the overflow of patients, his parents insisted that Clyde rest for a few days to which he begrudgingly listened. Worrying his parents because he refused to relax would only cause them more stress and the sickness in the house resulted in a constant fear of illness befalling their son. The wound was an excuse to temporary relieve him from the numerous duties in hopes of keeping the young man healthy. Unfortunately, sickness was not what his family had to fuss over.
As time progressed, Clyde found himself incredibly restless and possessed an odd desire to consume raw meat. The most frightening sign was the strange waning of his powers as days continued. They began gradually ceasing their functioning as the full moon began approaching, making the young man fearful. Although, the nerve to question his strange condition was lost considering his parents remained busy alongside the rest of his family. Thus, Clyde remained quiet and waited, hoping that the strange symptoms would leave, however, they only increased. When nightfall arrived on a night with a full moon, the symptoms became their sharpest, Clyde confining himself to his room early in an attempt to hide them. That night, the transformation was completed and Clyde became a full-fledged lycanthrope, the noises from his room scaring a majority of the people in the house. His parents had cracked the door open, finding the feral form amusing itself by breaking and clawing at the walls. The door was locked, the creature left to entertain itself while his parents made certain they were prepared should Clyde leave his room. The next morning was a headache and an extensive talk from his parents who lectured him about how he should have said something. Afterwards, the young man was given a charm to assist in dealing with the issue. Weeks later, Clyde returned to work, but a majority of the patients remained wary of him after discovering that he had become a lycanthrope.
When the Black Death faded out, Clyde found that he was outcasted from portions of London since some people hated lycanthropes. For years, he noticed it, making it difficult for him to work under the conditions. Only a short amount of time was spent in London until Clyde decided to move elsewhere and ventured out into the world. After years of travelling, he finally settled in Lorsette, Newfoundland, Canada where he found mild comfort in the scenery. He began taking work as a doctor again, finding it still an excellent source of pleasure in working alongside income. When 1454 arrived, Clyde found himself already hating the concept of this current war between the TRS and AP. As time progressed, he found himself noticing how the TRS easily received treatment while Assembly members were suffering in the shadows. He sympathized with those who suffered, finding himself unable to standby knowing that the weaker members of the Assembly were mistreated. Hesitantly, the lycanthrope joined the Assembly in order to help a portion of the weaker members from dying. Despite the terror the group created, Clyde genuinely believed that there was good in the people there; they were attempting to rectify the scars of the War. While he disagreed with the manner that the Assembly was attempting to create a peaceful society, Clyde remained there in hopes of helping them change or to assist the sick and injured. Despite his questionable loyalty, the Assembly allowed Clyde to stay, although, remained hesitant to give the man any information about their plans.
Ultimately, Clyde worked for both the Assembly and the hospital in hopes of helping the people of Lorsette. Due to his Assembly ties, he was forced to learn some degree of combat which he is weary about using. His time in Lorsette remained marvelous, making it difficult for him to even think about leaving the Canadian city that he feels at home in.

This is mostly due to his family insisting that natural healing was better. - Clyde’s British accent mostly remains hidden nowadays, but when he gets into deep discussion or is angry, it can become fairly obvious. - The reason why Clyde assists the Assembly instead of the TRS is because he wants to help the weaker members who get ignored when it comes to medical care. He does not agree with how the Assembly accomplishes motivations, but wants to make certain that innocent lives do not suffer for their choices. He also believes that somewhere, the members of the Assembly are good people merely striving to find some conclusion to create peace. Should he discover any important information, he would report it to the TRS. Unfortunately, the Assembly does not provide him information about their plans due to his personality and the fact that he still assists their enemies by working at the hospital.
