Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Good day, members! As you all know from the quick announcement postings accomplished yesterday, a long time staff member retired in the evening. Officially, as of yesterday evening Foxxy decided to leave TDOM because of a variety of reasons. Specifics will not be given and we ask all members respect her choice and privacy and not badger her as to the reasons. This being said, we wanted to thank her for almost 3 years of service. For many, Foxxy was a friendly face who assisted in many daily staff duties, such as applications, advertising, species creation and general moderation. I imagine for many she was a good friend and somebody appreciates for the many things she has done here and the memories she brought forth. So this is a formal thank you for everything she has done.
I would also wish to personally add my own sentiments with this post. I appreciate everything Foxxy has done for me. For a long time, I found myself unable to settle because of how difficult it can be to make a stable site. However, when Foxxy and I reconnected one day, it was a well-welcomed relief. I found a friend and confidant who assisted me through many hardships and I would return the favour. She assisted in the cultivation of TDOM as a community I adore and am endlessly proud of. Through these years, I could never have imagined a site I admined on to have grown so far. I will never forget the days we role-played together and enjoyed one another's company. The plots we had and the futures we planned for a variety of our characters. However, I understand in the end, sometimes people are required to leave because of personal reasons. For everything you have done for me as a friend, I say thank you. Both for the future times we spent together and the cherished memories we made along the way. In addition *hugs* I should give that to show my appreciation. <3
Though, this being, as naturally as sand down an hourglass, time needs to flow on. Due to TDOM's size, I did send a quick private request to somebody who I knew was interested in a staff position and who we feel could be a good fit for the staff team. This being said, auditions for additional roles may still come later in the year! We have just been debating how we wish to go about the auditions and organize the site's tab. Though, we are still debating the possibility of new staff coming to begin with. Thus, with this update, we want to formally welcome @zac to our moderation team! They will be taking Foxxy's position and helping out the team with various tasks after some training. So please, give them a warm welcome and we will look forward to future contributions to our team from them.
You are welcomed to post below with farewell regards and/or welcoming regards! Anybody who messaged me yesterday or this morning, I did already send those messages to Foxxy. However, if you wish to write something more personal, you are welcomed to do it here. If you still wish to keep it private, you are also welcomed to message me and I can send it off to her! Thank you all for your time and we hope with this re-organization, we can keep everything in relative order.
