corvin von inglestein tell me reality is better than a dream. general info
appearance Graced with the recognizable traits of the infamous Von Inglestein name. Broad shoulders stretch across his frame, holding a pair of strong shoulders. Suiting Corvin’s broad shoulders is the tall height he received from his genes, coming to a total height of 6’. The larger frame of Corvin’s body is greeted with the expected muscles of a larger man. His shoulders roll down into a six pack of abs and impressive biceps often hidden beneath his well-fitted clothing. The complexion across Corvin’s face is pale despite plenty of time being spent in sunlight. Never has the Von Inglesteins been known for their tanning capabilities, instead displaying opposite effects. Several scars cover Corvin’s body, each having a pinkish undertone to the markings which were believed to have derived from his unfortunate death. His hands are well-calloused from years of working. There is nothing particularly noticeable about Corvin’s face, rather, his features are plain. His cheeks are semi-raised, nothing of particular note, but enough to maintain a relatively slender face. A strong jawline acts as the well-made base to Corvin’s face, leaving the man without an unattractive double-chin. His nose is average sized with his lips thin with a pale pink coating them. Matching his porcelain complexion is straight, white hair flowing from his head. His hair is short-cropped with the fringes of the bangs making a subtle v. The bangs of his hairstyle narrowly dip into his gaze, however, the pair of glasses with wire lenses keeps his hair away from his eyes. His wire-lensed glasses have lenses of an oval shape. Emphasized by his glasses are a pair of striking, silver eyes. The impression of an individual staring into your soul is probably with the intensity of his eyes. Clothing styles consist of formal wears or anything well-tidied. He prefers dress shirts and slacks. Though, Corvin focuses on a clean and crisp style, preferring turtlenecks or anything that gives him even a semi-professional appearance. Outside of work, Corvin is known for a white jacket with a high collar. In work, Corvin is regularly wearing his RCMP uniform with the displayed rank of deputy commissioner. His uniform adds a bulkier appearance to his body because of his vest. It is not uncommon to discover a firearm at Corvin’s side at all times for the sake of his safety. In addition to Corvin’s base appearance, his inugami species comes in two separate forms, one consisting of his spiritual form. When in spiritual form, Corvin radiates a soft, bluish glow unless he has gone invisible. This glow surrounds his body, similar to a thin aura. From previously being a familiar and now an inugami, Corvin is capable of shifting his body into that of a dalmatian. In this form, Corvin has a base-white pelt littered with paling spots of a soft blue. They were originally black, however, have paled and blued since his death years ago. His head has limited spots, most accumulating across his body and thickening around his chest. In this form, his pelt is soft to the touch. He is notably larger than most dalmations and this is believed to come from his large size in human form. If in spiritual form and canine form, his body emits the same bluish glow. Otherwise he appears as a normal dalmatian when shifted. personality

As a result of this ability, dreaming can occasionally cause dalmatian traits, such as ears and a tail. Invisibility -- Advanced Naturals: Immortality, Self-Sustenance & Enhanced Senses backstory Trigger Warnings: Violence, death Von Inglestein, a name of which arrives with a hefty weight to be shouldered. Familiars in a line of a canine descendance renown for their capabilities in a single objective, protecting and preserving life. Varying methods allowed them to accomplish these tasks, though, the Von Inglestein clan were influential in the police force and private protection services. Many bore the shoulders of high standing ranks, carrying the responsibilities with an admired cadence and powerful stride. Beneath the weight of their namesake’s obligation, Von Inglesteins were expected to thrive under pressure and hold the values of the family true. For centuries, the power of their name thrived in the world, at certain points being considered a household name. The family had served through the War of Traitors as a barrier against bandits for their hometown, their name only gaining more fame, and with that, fortune. Though, in recent generations, Von Inglesteins have devoted their lives to other mediums of protection. The arrival of Zeredah resulted in the Von Inglesteins leading lives with heavy association with the TRS, RCMP, various bodyguard and mercenary services and some even drifting into the more support-based practices of the medical field. Thus, with the birth of Corvin and his brothers, they lived a life lathered in riches from their mother being a well-known surgeon and their father a TRS hunter. The middle child of 3 children, Corvin was neither the valued eldest nor the spoiled youngest. Despite this, equality was established across the three Von Inglestein children a majority of the time. In his early years, Corvin had vivid memories of a nanny assisting his parents with their care. While their parents were not absent, the use of a nanny allowed them to lead their successful lives and maintain their jobs without worry for their trio of children at home. As a part of the Von Inglestein children, duties would weigh upon their shoulders. Thus, at a young age, their parents made arrangements to start light learning sessions. These sessions consist of minor teaching lessons, small things to act as stepping stones for future sessions. Games were played in favour of teaching their precious children the values of education and preserving them a position in a suitable field of work. They wanted the best for their children, and it became clear with the amount of attention their parents would adorn them with. Whenever possible, family time was available, drawing the Von Inglesteins closer to one another every day. In the background, their parents supported notions of protecting and preserving life with varying stories of heroism told from the mouths of their parents. The idolization of family would inevitably stick with Corvin as he grew, alongside the ideals of assisting others. As the child grew, his parents entered him into private classes accomplished inside their home to assure the best education. Their thought process was assuring their children would have the goals they required to survive and gain success. Upon entering these classes, Corvin proved to be a quiet child, listening to lessons and being prone to confirming understanding through nodding. From a young age he learned quickly, the actions of his parents in his early upbringing showing success with the achievements accomplished by his cognitive skills. Though the environment cultivating Corvin arrived with some downsides. In social practice, Corvin would be described as an awkward child initially, his mind seemingly education-oriented because of his upbringing surrounded by those ideals. Remedies arrived with playdates, alas, the child proved a tad awkward, only making subtle developments while his brain seemingly fixated on the educational aspect of life. The stigma remained there through Corvin’s childhood development and even progressed into the young man’s teens. Exceptionally intelligent, tactful and sophisticatedly spoken at times, Corvin struggled with the playful fundamentals of communication and rather focused on the professional. Though, around his families the young man displayed capability in social engagement, it appeared entirely due to long-term exposure. Yet, Corvin would never display shyness or timidness as a byproduct of his socially-limited childhood. While neither talkative in this regard, he could easily respond with a soft confidence, not overbearing, but existent in the unwavering release of words. The body language he exhibited showed similar signs of this soft confidence, with Corvin’s eyes accomplishing the proper actions for communication. Eye contact and a lack of folding beneath the gaze of his peers. An odd mixture of soft confidence, but yet, little understanding of the joyous side of conversing. During what would be considered Corvin’s high school years, his contemplations on life fixated on picking a suitable career for his future while additionally mastering the new materials of combat-training suggested by his father. Many thought the man’s intellect would arrive at the decision to follow into his mother’s footsteps. Alas, similar to most children growing up through times of crisis, Corvin heard plenty about the TRS and RCMP through various news outlets and the stories told by his parents. The thought fascinated him, keeping the young man engaged and enamoured with the image. As a familiar and Von Inglestein, his expectations were to preserve human lives and protect those around you who are unequipped to protect themselves. The outstanding goal was framed inside Corvin’s mind as he accomplished his research on his occupational options, and in the end, Corvin von Inglestein enlisted in the Lorsette RCMP training course. Joining Lorsette’s RCMP training course became the first educational courses taken outside the large manor which housed the Von Inglesteins. Though, the change of scenery was welcomed and required for the young Corvin at the time. It allowed him to engage with others and began the building blocks of understanding other people. However, socialization outside of work would remain hampered because of Corvin’s professional focusing. Training in the fundamentals of RCMP work proved easy for the man who was trained in combat. The combat training provided by his father made Corvin formidable, allowing him to focus on the aspects he required more work in, such as laws, criminology, confrontation diffusion, teamwork and a general cleaning of the words he used. Though, during the wrap up of his RCMP training, Corvin became fascinated in psychology as a result of his criminology classes. This would later result in further developments in his wishes for RCMP work. In the months following his year closing, Corvin von Inglestein began researching the requirements needed for a skill he considered helpful on the criminal climate of Lorsette, hostage & crisis negotiation. Thus, he entered the required classes while quietly working on his combat skills. He wanted to be somebody who could protect others with ease, accomplishing the goals of his surname. Therefore, he studied hard, his intellect representing itself in high marks and displaying his capability. Through it all, Corvin felt the support of his parents, the pair admiring their middle child’s work ethic. It pushed the white-haired man further, allowing him to step forward and work hard at the tasks at hand. The doubling down on his education allowed Corvin to graduate with flying colours and later get an occupation in the RCMP branch in Lorsette. Entrance into the RCMP gave Corvin the location of which suited his professionalism. He shone in the RCMP, his courage and willingness to work allowing him to flourish. The work Corvin accomplished summoned a sense of pride in the young man as he waltzed through his works. Between the hair-raising missions to the simple report filing or patrols, Corvin discovered himself happy with the things he accomplished. Through everything, the white-haired man displayed a capability of handling the pressure, even as he managed his way through hostage negotiating. Over the years, Corvin would gain admiration for his skills and gradually better himself. Alas, as time progressed, the worst of the situations would arrive to the limelight on a single unfortunate day. They were entering a questionable area for a bust on a large drug ring. Sliding through the halls after demanding them to come out. They were under the belief everybody was outside of the building, however, caution was required. Gradually, they moved through the dingy location, a difficult place to navigate safety. As they reached the main opening where the bundles were, they eased in their approach... a foolish move. It hit him like a truck and sent Corvin spiralling back. The pops of gunfire echoed through the abandoned compound, his name being said in the blur. The pain of a bullet ripping through him left Corvin bleeding and unable to receive help. He was stunned while his coworker was locked in a fire fight with the rouge... then on that floor, Corvin von Inglestein bled out… They tried rushing him to hospital, hoping something existed, but they were wrong. Though, in death a person’s feelings can shift intensely. A man’s desire to protect those around him, stronger than the binds of bleeding out and the grasp of Thanatos. The man of Purgatory’s realm noticed it, a smirk upon his lips. Only moments later would Corvin von Inglestein awake during a medical examination of his body. They wanted it for the prosecution, but when the body displayed symptoms of waking their actions ceased. On that day, Corvin lost the original life he owned, shifting into a new stage of being an undead. It became the day Corvin von Inglestein became an inugami, bent on avenging those who fell including himself. A shift came as Corvin shifted into a more on-field oriented position in hopes of expanding his reach while doing hostage negotiation when required. Years later at the age of 35, Corvin would receive the prestigious honour of being Deputy Commissioner of the RCMP Lorsette branch. From there, he has remained in the RCMP, the effects of his death making Corvin ambitious and willing to push himself.
