appearance Amy is a 4’7” little girl. She has long blonde hair that she rarely bothers brushing and mismatched eyes, one red and one blue. Like most children, she has chubby cheeks, wide eyes, and otherwise innocent features. She looks slightly younger than she is, maybe 10 or 11, due to her species. She is tiny and very breakable. Usually, she’s got at least a couple bruises on display. personality
Amy is naive and childish. She’d rather have fun than consider risks, and she rarely takes a moment to consider how her actions affect others. In fact, if she wants something she’ll do anything to get it, no matter where it leaves other parties. She very much wants attention and she will attach herself to other people when she’s bored, even when her presence is very much unwelcome. When it comes down to it, though, Amy does want to help. If she likes you she loves you and she’ll take the necessary actions to protect you, even if you problems are way out of her league. She never wants anyone to be in pain and will do whatever she can to stop it. She’s a loyal friend, and it’s not hard to gain that status. Even if you betray her, she’ll probably still stick by your side. abilities Plant Growth ~ ….Don’t even bother Amy will probably never have any control over this ability. There have been a few times where she’s lashed out and plants grew in an uncontrolled explosion around her, but when she puts any thought into it. Healing ~ Advanced Amy has always had a talent for healing. In fact, one of her first memories was healing a stray dog that had gotten run over by a car. She can heal almost any non-vital wounds 10 times faster than a being could heal themselves, but in most cases, she has to concentrate very hard and it requires physical contact and it takes a lot of energy out of her. The more she knows about the anatomy near the wound, the easier it is for her to heal it. A subsection of her healing ability is a spell called Aura Cast. This ability allows her to cast a 6-meter radius in which any living creature will in 6 minutes heal as much as they might regularly in 6 weeks. It takes more concentration and willpower than she has to cast it for longer than 3 or 4 minutes without encouragement and after casting it she will fall asleep for 10 minutes and be fatigued for the next few hours. She cannot cast this more than once in a 24 hour period. Resistant to Aging This ability doesn’t have much of an effect on her yet, but when she gets older she will age at a rate of 1:10. Currently, this means she looks a bit more youthful than she is, but the full effect won’t kick in for a few years. backstory The world hasn’t been a nice place to Amy in a long time, but there have always been a select few blessings she keeps close to her heart. One of them is her older sister Rory. 10 years older than her, Rory was always the strong one, the one Amy looked up to. In a way, Rory is the one who singlehandedly uprooted her happy life and put her in the situation she’s in now, but Amy wouldn’t have it any other way. Amelia Steele was born in a settling of around 15 faekin and raised separately from the outside world. In her youngest years, anyone outside the small, tightly bound community may as well have been myths, like the fairytales she was told before bed. Her place in the community may not have been decided yet, but she knew her future would hold the people she saw around her. Amy may have been happy with her life, but her sister wasn’t. Rory wanted to get to know more people so, when Amy was 8, she went off to join human society. Amy had always seen her sister as the most important person in the world and she couldn’t bear the separation. In a spur of the moment decision one night she snuck out, intending to go to the ‘big city’ and find her sister. Unfortunately, her vague knowledge of the outside world didn’t guide her to downtown Lorsette where her sister was working. Rather, she ended up in a region near Aria Village, completely lost. At some point in her pointless wanderings, she came across a woman, Dolores Esmeree . Dolores offered her a place to stay and a sense of safety and she naively believed that with the society that organized itself around the questionable woman she was free to do anything. With no clue how the larger world worked, Amy was content within the ranks of the Dark Market. It was a couple of years before Amy realized her goal had never been to find a new family, but to reunite with old family. The realization came one night when she couldn’t get herself to fall asleep, and it was that same night that she packed her few things and snuck out. She technically wasn’t supposed to leave without someone accompanying her, and this was the first time she broke one of the rules. She had no intention of returning. Once she found her way to Lorsette, she asked around and found Rory after a week. Rory insisted she returned home, saying their parents must be worried sick. She obeyed, but she couldn’t find the old settlement. A local informed her that they’d been forced to leave, and Amy returned to Rory. Amy was always a cunning child, willing to break norms as long as they weren’t written into rules by someone she actually cared about. With her free time in Lorsette, she took to pickpocketing. One day she pickpocketed one of Rory’s friends, a rather large man who would have intimidated her had she any sense of how easily he could crush her. He didn’t recognize her as Rory’s sister and she got in trouble with some of the man’s friends. In return, she agreed to do a few benign tasks for them, and thus she joined the Ravagers with a bit of a distanced relationship. She was usually assigned menial jobs that weren’t explicitly illegal and certainly weren’t complicated.
