Anele Jannie Coetzee tell me reality is better than a dream. general info
appearance Soft as he is on the inside, Anele looks pretty tough. With his rather large form and dismissive posture, people that don’t know him well enough can easily get intimidated. He isn’t afraid of standing out from the crowd, although it’s not usually his intention. He has long brown hair that’s usually a bit of a mess and bright green eyes. He usually stays in a partially shifted form with two brown wolf ears on display. In his animal form he is a fairly standard brown wolf. personality
Anele is a very positive person. He can always find the bright side in any situation. He is mainly driven by the emotions of others. If they’re sad he’ll try to cheer them up, and if they’re angry he’ll try to calm them down. In doing so, he can sometimes get himself into some trouble. He loves to take on as many jobs as possible to help as many people as possible, but that can also be his downfall sometimes. He will prioritize his work to other stuff, like sleep and eating, and he’ll try to make sure he does everything as perfectly as possible. He feels the need to help any plants, animals, or people that may be struggling nearby. He tends to defend the underling in most any situation. He always wants to see the best in people, and sometimes that can lead to him giving one too many second chances. However, if someone betrays him he won’t forgive them if he hasn’t seen a change. If someone hurts someone he cares about, he probably won't give them a fair chance. abilities Natural: Minor Healing Factor backstory Anele was raised as the youngest of three children. His family was always very caring and supportive. He was taught to always see the bright side of things. He always looked up to his parents and older siblings and a part of him truly believes they can do anything. Indeed, when he was a child he had an unwavering belief that everything would always be perfect. Anele has always loved every living thing. This includes plants. When he was young, he loved to be outside and he liked helping plants grow. His father even helped him maintain his own little garden. He had a neighbor, Adelina, who was about his age, and every now and then she’d come over and help him out. When he was 7 years old, tragedy struck. His father got into some work-related accident leaving him in a coma. For a long time before the diagnosis was given, Anele wasn’t told anything about the situation. All he knew was that he was afraid. Afraid for his father, and afraid for what his family might be put through. He remembers that as a time filled with confusion, but Adelina was there to support him when he needed it most. For six months, he would visit his father as often as possible. He had always looked up to his dad, and even if he didn’t know much about the situation he knew he wanted to be by his side. He knew the accident was also very stressful on his mom and siblings, so he tried to do the best he could to help out wherever he could and stepped up to take more responsibility where he could (although, being a child that wasn’t much) When his father finally woke up, Anele thought it was a miracle. The man had extensive memory loss and his vision had been damaged, so he wasn’t permitted to return to his job as a police officer, but he was awake and that was enough. Or, at least, it should have been. Tension formed between his parents in the following 3 years. He didn’t know where it came from or the severity of the situation, but it tore his family apart. Like his siblings, when he turned 11 he was sent to a boarding school. As much as he wanted to stay behind with his family, he found himself making new friends and fitting in easily. There were lots of clubs at his school, and he soon found himself involved in many of them, especially the gardening club. His love for plants wasn’t going to fade just because he was away from his own personal garden. How couldn’t he feel at home when Adelina was still at his side? His new school may have felt like home, but it would never replace the happy memories in his childhood house with his entire family. Little did he know, that cherished memory wouldn’t last much longer. In his second year at school, he got news that his parents had gotten divorced. He and his sister stayed behind with their mother, mainly because they were told to. His brother chose to live with their father. While his mother wanted them to have nothing to do with their dad, Anele still wanted him to be happy. He desperately wanted to mend the wounds that had grown while his back was turned. When his father started dating another woman, he embraced it. After all, it made his father happy. Not long later, they were married and he had another sister who he vowed he’d always look out for, even if he didn’t really get to spend much time with her between boarding school and living with his mother. The year before he went off to college, he learned more about the situation that separated his parents. His mom had accused his father of having an affair, which Anele couldn’t bring himself to believe. He knew his father and the man would never do something that could hurt his mom like that. In fact, as the next few weeks past he began to notice more and more how unhinged the woman was and he went to live with his father. He still wanted his mother to be happy, but he wasn’t going to live with her if she was going to keep spewing such irrational lies. When he was finally old enough to begin college, Anele got a degree in art and used it to get a job teaching at the high school. He is still fairly young and untested, but he’s determined to do well. misc Pls protect my baby! He needs lots of love.
