Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

“Oh” Wynonna would squeak. “Well, I guess I’ve never seen it either” she’d admit. “I’ve always stayed on this side of the coast, I came from far north, though” she’d swallowed after he was done talking, her tongue clicking slightly getting used to the feeling.
Though it was still uncomfortable, she was slowly getting more used to the social situation as time ticked by. It was almost like talking to her imaginary friends… almost… but not quite. Unlike them, she could not predict how Liam was going to react. She was no good at reading faces either, so the mystery of it all scared her. Though, in a way, it was also intriguing. She almost felt a pull to keep the conversation going. Something she had not experienced before. Not with anyone but her imaginary friends.
Thats when she realized she never got the boys name. While she knew little of social interactions, she knew enough it was at least nice to introduce yourself.
“Um,” Wynonna would continue, a bit nervous, but determined to keep going.
“My name is Wynonna, by the way” she didn’t feel confident enough to ask for the boys’ name, but perhaps giving her name would lead the conversation in the right direction.
The mention of never witnessing waves dancing with sunlight, at least, from his understanding brought a surprise to Liam's dull green eyes. Memories of nature playing together over the vast ocean entered his mind, the breath-taking beauty of it all. He remembered the excited manner he bounded up the hill near the old lighthouse. Yet, those precious moments he enjoyed were things the young girl had not experienced. In Liam's opinion, it was among the beauties of Lorsette as a location. Each place had their special things and the ocean waves dancing with a rising sun.

The cherubim nodded slowly at the young girl's words with the astonishment proceeding to play in those green hues. He hoped the stranger would receive the opportunity to witness the pleasantness of the waves. His memories played in his mind on a repeated loop without much prompting. The awkwardness around him dampened his willingness to suggest the idea, however, he wanted to for the young girl's sake. Nervously, Liam's hands twitched, playing between one another as he rang them and allowed his fingers to twitch; he needed to say something.
[break][break]
"W-well... it's a good view so I recommend it," Liam mumbled with a slightly fragile voice.
[break][break]
Growing comfortable in conversation was a gradual process for Liam. The anxieties of failures still pressed down on his shoulders, hefty and suffocating. He wished to improve his socializing capabilities, however, that required accomplishing the action itself. However, they appeared to be getting into a state of comfort between them, albeit, only somewhat. Despite their interaction, Liam still contained a sense of trepidation, but he hoped to manage. The mention of her name made him realize they never exchanged monikers.
[break][break]
"O-oh... Mine is Liam... Ah, I can't believe I forgot to give you my name," the grey-haired boy mumbled.
[break][break]
The situation made him feel awkward as he shuffled between his feet. The simple action of introductions was forgotten, a tradition older than time. An inaudible sigh left his lips, stifled by a stern reminder not to make the situation weird. If he accomplished that, then he would be toast! There was a chance he would be left behind and everything that motivated him abandoned because of his stupidity.

"I'm not really a morning person" Wynonna would reply, a slight sigh escaping her breath as she waited for the other to reply. Slowly but surely, she was getting used to the presence of the other, and she even smiled slightly as the boy introduced himself.
With a nod she'd reply. "It's um… It's nice to meet you, Liam… I typically don't get to talk to other people much" the girl would admit, looking back down at her feet after the words escaped her lips. The ripples of water still swirled around them as they slowly carried her forward more.
"Maybe I should get up to see it sometime" she'd reply, awkwardly continuing the prior conversation.
She honestly didn't know why she hadn't. It was something shed except herself, as a seal shifter, to witness… yet, she never had.
Silent prayers regarding being adequate company echoed through Liam's head as he stood in Wynonna's presence. People rarely expressed disdain for the conversations they held with him, however, the grey-haired man would get himself wrapped within his thoughts. However, Liam's insecurity muttered menacing words into the atmosphere of his mind, always informing him how kindness would prevent them from expressing those dislikes. Thus, his lips pressed together and his toes anxiously curled in the pits of his shoes whenever they remained stationary.
[break][break]
Inner mind pep talks accomplished limited to maintain a sense of calm inside Liam as he interacted with the young girl. Though, his hopes of offering mutual experiences were hastily dashed with a single sentence. The white-haired girl was not a morning person, meaning her likelihood of experiencing the dancing of sunlight with waves was slim. While the grey-haired teen hardly considered himself a morning person, everybody possessed a varying definition of the morning. Nonetheless, he felt awkward as he fended off a frown from breaching his expression.
[break][break]
"O-oh, I see," he responded, nervousness leaking in.
[break][break]
The introductions arrived eventually, the names freshly exchanged between the two parties. Despite the passing of an alternate conversation, everything returned to the previous. The grey-haired young man's green eyes widened when Wynonna mentioned going to take a look. Hastily, he nodded at the younger girl, his mood improving upon the mentioning of viewing the sunrise.
[break][break]
"I promise it's worth it! It looks really pretty... kinda like the scenes in those romance movies... um, if you've ever seen one," Liam commented. "Sorry if that's a weird description..."
[break][break]
Nervously, he scratched the back of his head, eyes gazing wayward for a moment. His responsibility as a cherubim resulted in him watching plenty of romantic movies. He enjoyed occasionally indulging in the perfection displayed in the classic tropes. Furthermore, the manner they framed the shots always made the scenes breathtaking, however, nothing could truly compare to the reality he viewed on occasion.
