Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Carter had successfully placed Jayden's hat on his own head. He further attempted to place his own hat on Jayden's head, believing he'd look adorable in just about any hat he chose to wear. He then broke the silence with asking Jayden if he liked hats, because frankly he loved them too. Jayden had nodded his head to his question, implying that he did in fact love hats. "I do too." He answered, chuckling as he blushed in return. It was strange how they had gone from Jayden's stealing a necklace that Carter later purchased to Carter flirting with him. It was very difficult to control his actions when he found Jayden so attractive. Being flustered was just a bonus. Of course all good things would have to come to an end. Surely Jayden planned to take his hat back. It wasn't like they were friends or anything, just two strangers that had taken action and accepted the consequences for it.
Or maybe Jayden had believed so, only for it to backfire, but for what ever case, Carter had accepted his without realizing the danger he had put himself in. He thought Jayden was just some human. Skilled with stealing, he wasn't aware supernaturals were real, nor was he ready to accept such a claim at this time. Unaware to him, there was a twin out there lurking. Despite this purchase being made, the twins still had officers out searching for them because it wasn't the only goods they had stolen in the past and those ones, they would be held accountable for.

Pounding against Jayden's sternum was his heart, the flustered emotions consuming his mind affecting the entirety of his body with little issue. Resisting the subtle embarrassment from enjoying his closeness to the blond stranger was difficult, thus red remained painted across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. The heat in his face only confirmed how nervous he felt in the current situation, the temperature ticking higher with each passing second. The sound of his heart thumping in his chest sounded loud in his own ears, the regular noise becoming a fabricated jackhammer from his intense anxiety. Alas, despite the seemingly continual sensations of bashfulness were notes of exhilaration from the close proximity between himself and the gorgeous blond stranger he discovered. There were temptations to return the playful actions and enjoy these precious seconds with the mysterious person creating these peculiar reactions. Their closeness felt necessary like it somehow fueled Jayden's life force standing close to the playful blond. The reciprocation of the hat question surprised Jayden, the thief lifting a curious brow when the stranger stated he enjoyed the clothing article as well.
[break][break]
A hand reached out, Jayden slightly moving away as his eyes darted towards the movement, but confusion held him in place. Softly, the stranger's hat was placed onto his own head, resulting in the thief glancing at the mysterious man and slightly shifting his head to one side in confusion. Subtle hints of red touched the blond man's cheek, resulting in the Assembly soldier's eyes widening slightly in surprise to the unexpected action. There was something adorable about witnessing the charming, young man blush because of his presence, but it heralded one question. Why was he blushing? The green-haired man could hardly think of a reason behind the blond's reaction to him.
[break][break]
"... What is your name?" He murmured the question softly, making it hardly audible.
[break][break]
Patiently, Jayden awaited the answer from the stranger, genuinely hoping to place a name to the adorable man occupying his time. There was something special about this particular young man, and the thief was absolutely certain about that, he was merely uncertain about what exactly it was. There was a slight quickness to his breathing, Jayden's nervousness about the current situation still remaining in subtle body language. The rapid beating of his heart, the everlasting shade of embarrassed red on his face and heat still rising in his face.
Carter couldn't help but find Jayden's head being tilted to the side as adorable as he looked back at him. Of course that caused him to blush from embarrassment. He was well aware of the fact they had only just met and here he was flirting with him. It was difficult to explain but he didn't fear him, in fact he felt like he could trust him with his life. Not that he'd ever admit that to Jayden, in case there was the slightest chance of being taken advantage of. He was pulled from his thoughts when Jayden had asked him his name. Seeing as he wasn't fearful, he gladly gave it. "My name is Carter." He answered, looking at Jayden curiously he asked, "What is your name?" He knew there was a chance that Jayden had another alias he wanted the world to call him by, but if it was even remotely possibly, he was hoping for his birth name.
Just something to remember him by, since they'd soon be swapping hats and going on their way. He never had answered Jayden's question from before, but since he didn't fear him, he saw no reason to hold back his thoughts. "You know.... I'll do it again." He answered, thinking it was rather amusing that Jayden was so concerned over him buying stolen goods. It didn't make any sense on why it would matter, Jayden got what he wanted in the long run, hadn't he? He wasn't aware that he had spoiled Jayden's fun by making the purchase. Had he known, it would only fuel his motive in continuing to do it, purely out of Jayden's reaction. So much for Jayden getting fun out of stealing, with Carter swooping in to steal it for himself.

Mere acquaintances, yet, their reactions to one another suggested something more to any passerby who spared a hasty glance down the alleyway and discovered them inside. Close proximity, a one-sided exchange of flirtatious words and both with their faces reddened by embarrassment. Alas, Jayden discovered enjoyment in their closeness and the small conversation they started, although, he remained confused by the situation. There were no concerns about the mysterious blond contacting police or potentially being an officer himself, in fact, the thief found himself oddly comfortable around him despite the nervousness ravaging through his mind. Safety enveloped him, similar to the comfort of a warm blanket as he remained in the man's presence, flustered, but oddly pleased. Patiently, Jayden awaited to hear this magnificent man's name, the thief finding himself genuinely curious about the individual he came across. When the man provided his name without hesitance, the Assembly soldier's eyes widened in surprise. Once the name was provided, the green-haired gifted glanced over the beautiful man, admiring the adorable redness of his cheeks.
[break][break]
There was hesitance when Carter, the blond, requested reciprocation in the name exchange. Briefly, Jayden's eyes flitted to the ground in contemplation before returning to his acquaintance.
[break][break]
"Jayden," he murmured softly. "... I... I like your name..."
[break][break]
Quiet words escaped the thief's lips, the nervousness making it difficult to speak without the slightest hints of hesitance entering his voice. Silence drifted over the green-haired man as he awkwardly avoided eye contact, anxiety grasping him firmly, remaining there until the man answered his question. Instantaneously, Jayden's eyes locked onto Carter, wide with shock at the unexpected answer.
[break][break]
"... But why?" Jayden inquired, murmuring it quietly.
[break][break]
Complete comprehension of Carter's intentions was impossible for Jayden, the young man tilting his head to the right in confusion. Nobody desired to pay for stolen good considering they would never receive the item in question; there was no reward for purchasing it with hard-earned cash. Therefore, the venture would be a complete waste of money without any benefits being received by the buyer. The selfish-minded thief could hardly understand why somebody would accomplish such an action, unaware benevolence could fuel these choices.
Carter watched Jayden look at the ground before looking back at him. He blushes when Jayden mentions liking his name. "You do?" He asks, clearly flustered. "I like your's too. Jayden is so manly." He teases playfully, comfy in his spot. He then stated how he'd do it again, coming to realize the perfect answer to Jayden's question. Perhaps it would be the best of answer of all, having plenty of truth behind his words. "For your attention." He answered, a small grin forming on his face as he did so. Though he knew Jayden wanted to understand his reasoning for buying stolen goods, it seemed also the easiest answer to give him. "I mean if each time I bought your stolen goods, I wind up in an alleyway, looking back at you, getting you flustered. I'd be pretty lucky, if I say so myself." He answered, rather boldly. "Forgot to mention how handsome you are in both hats. I say, you'd look good in any." He answered, continuing his attempts to fluster Jayden further.
Little did he know in the near future, Jayden would have his revenge. He chuckled at the idea of winning the contest that he had deemed going on between them, regarding who'd be more flustered. So far, he had been throwing attempts left and right against Jayden, not getting very many in return if any at all. Though Jayden didn't really need to, because he got flustered without encouragement. Oh how he'd come to realize his fluster would never leave as soon as Jayden was on a roll. "I say, I win." He answered, chuckling at the idea of making Jayden so flustered when they were strangers. Not to mention the reason for meeting was because Jayden stole and Carter purchased it.

Shades of embarrassed red covered both their cheeks, Jayden's eyes analyzing the blond's adorable blush. Witnessing the endearing colour of Carter's cheek thoroughly attracted the green-haired man's gaze. The flustered reaction from the compliment warmed the thief's heart, positive emotions washing over him. The transcendence of this happiness enveloped Jayden, embracing him tightly and fueling those amazing emotions swirling inside his mind. Complimenting Carter was oddly pleasant, a bashful smile twitching briefly onto his lips, however, it disappeared quickly. The thief was never a particularly expressive young man, usually only displaying his inner emotions in fleeting instances unless around his twin, Caden. The reciprocation of name compliments began, Jayden's heart immediately pounded against his chest at a rapid rate. Blood filled his cheeks, redness becoming contrast against the pale complexion. Red was obvious as it spread across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose, the thief nervously glancing away. Shyness consumed him, Jayden never being complimented, especially with such words as manly, ultimately making him feel special.
[break][break]
"Th-thank you..." Jayden mumbled, heart, beating rapidly; was this a heart attack?
[break][break]
Those flustered emotions proceeded when the green-haired man inquired about Carter's reason to purchase the stolen item. Unfortunately, the motivation behind the blond's actions made Jayden's heart skip beats. The Assembly soldier's eyes widened, cheeks reddening further as he quickly glanced at Carter. Before the thief could speak, the peculiar man began explaining why he enjoyed paying for these stolen items, stating how he received his attention. Bashfully, the green-haired man glanced away, silenced by the benevolent compliments. When Carter stated he won, Jayden's face was consumed by redness, the man remaining quiet as he got absorbed in his fluster.
Carter breathed faster as he felt more flustered, looking at Jayden so flustered was making him so happy. He wasn't sure of the reason, but this attractive boy was giving him so much attention and he wasn't willing to give it up. He wanted Jayden to focus only on him. A few minutes seemed to pass as they stood across from each other, wanting nothing more than for this time to never end. Of course with the few bystands that happened to walk by and saw them, one happened to flee back to the police station to inform them about Klepto location. His breathing became faster as he enjoyed their time together. "I'll get to see you again, won't I?" He asked, clearly teasing since he had mentioned paying for his purchases for the sake of having Jayden's attention. Police were quick to leave the station to go after Klepto. Though he was AP, he was also a thief and he had crimes to answer for. They rounded the corner, heading down the alleyway towards them. "You should go, so they don't catch you." He whispered, clearly rooting for the hot guy to escape despite his crimes.

Hasty, shallow breaths blew through Jayden’s slightly opened mouth the longer he maintained his close proximity with Carter. The ravishing blond held a staggering appearance that manifested symptoms such as an increased heart rate and sudden bashfulness. Those aquamarine eyes sparkled wonderfully, the breathtaking view allowing Jayden to briefly lock eyes with the man creating these peculiar, abrupt reactions. Everything about this man was absolutely magnificent, the conversation transpiring between them creating a joy. The grip around Carter’s wrist continued, however, a gentleness was found as Jayden lightly clung to the wrist. The warmth in physical contact was fantastic, the green-haired man enjoyed feeling the soft flesh beneath his calloused fingers. Unfortunately, bystanders caught glimpses of the pair down the alleyway. They recognized the Assembly soldier and thief, thus the police were inevitably called. The request to see him again blossomed a deep red in Jayden’s cheeks at the thought of Carter wanting to see him more. A nod of approval was given, the green-haired man desiring to see the beautiful blond again.
[break][break]
Sirens echoed in the distance, Jayden glancing at the mouth of the alleyway. A frown touched his face because he would be forced to part from Carter. The whispered words caught Jayden’s attention as he nodded in agreement again. Hesitantly, the Assembly soldier released the blond’s wrist before turning heel and bolting for the nearest door. He hovered his hand over the doorknob, unlocking it before changing the location to home. In a matter of seconds, Jayden disappeared from the scene but failed to realize the precious item he unintentionally exchanged; his favourite green fedora.
Carter melted the longer he remained in Jayden's grip. Right now was a bliss and he was unwilling to part ways. He couldn't help but feel pleased to see Jayden blush increase as he nodded his approval of them seeing each other again. Of course everything changed when he noticed down the end of the alley, police officers were rushing in their direction. He had whispered for Jayden to go, deep down not wanting him to be captured even though frankly he had committed crimes. He watched as he pulled away, running towards the nearest door. To him, it looked like he had entered the building, unaware that he had gone straight home with the assistance of his power. He hadn't bothered attempting to run away when the officers had surrounded him. Handcuffs were placed on him because he happened to be wearing Jayden's hat. If it hadn't been for that fact, they would have asked if he were alright, since Jayden had clearly captured him, right? He was lead back towards the police station for questioning, but it proved in vein when he failed to answer any of their questions.
Well one he lied about, he wasn't willing to give up the name. It just felt so special to him. Of course they planned on having him remain in a cell for as long as possible but the manager of that jewelry store had stepped in to explain that he had been the customer to buy the necklace. So dropped the charges and allowed him to head back home. It was around this time that he had finally come to realize they had swapped hats on accident. Well that explains a lot. He thought to himself, somewhat amused with the fact he got to keep Jayden's hat just a tad bit longer. Just meant it would be easier to get his attention in the near future, seeing as Jayden loved this hat, or so he had lead him to believe.
