Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Willow hadn't seem to notice the book being grabbed so that the book could be checked out, having her hands clasped together to try and keep herself somewhat calm. She glanced up briefly when she heard Myrcella's comment before once more looking at the ground. She isn't happy with me.... I really should have gone home instead.... But.... I wanted to at least return those books I had on me.... She thought to herself, feeling somewhat sick on how their departure had ended and how this conversation was going, it wasn't like Myrcella was giving any negative hints, she was just too guilty to notice that all seemed alright in the world. Now that last comment somewhat set her off, or at least Willow thought she had misunderstood the comment and she found herself backing away from the counter. "Of course you could open it yourself... but that isn't.... Nevermind I should go." She answered, failing to take the book from Myrcella's hands before turning to head towards the exit. She saved me and now I'm frustrating her.... And to think, I thought there was the slightest chance we could have become friends but not now... Not after how I treated her.... She thought to herself before opening the door to the library to exit.
Before Myrcella was able to finish the data processing, Willow had turned to take her leave. With a defeated tone of wording, she abandoned the book and was already heading towards the exit. When Myrcella broke her focus away from the computer screen it was the behind of Willow's crimson red hair that she saw, nearing the doorway. Was she just.... leaving, without finishing the check out?
Myrcella's eyes narrowed in thought of the whole situation. She understood this girl was guilty, enough to where she apologized and was trying to explain how she would have acted differently had she better realized they were both headed to the same destination. What she didn't understand was why she was taking off so soon... and when she had told her that she didn't need to explain herself. No interrogation or snarky ridiculing would be sent her way over the mishap. Did what she say translate differently than she meant? She had intended to resolve Willow's concerns and fulfill her book request.
"Excuse me, you have forgotten to take your book with you," Myrcella wasn't able to call out to her due to the atmosphere of the silent building enclosure, and silent social etiquette rules surrounding it. Thus, she left the desk with the book in hand and a due date slip inside, and had swiftly ventured up to the girl to catch her. "It's due in two weeks...." Holding the book out to her, a twinge of awkwardness in trying to figure out how to smooth over the rough patch instilling inside her. "You can of course.... come before then, if you are in need of anything," Myrcella suggested in a disguised olive branch of peace, eyes falling upon her.

Willow had heard the comment, already reaching to open the door. Upon opening the door to exit Myrcella's words sounded closer and she glanced back to see that she had followed her. "But is taking the book really alright by this point? I wasn't trying to be so rude to you before...." She answered, clearly still guilty. Having left the book was a punishment on her own desires for being so rude to Myrcella before. Myrcella had saved her from bullies earlier and this is how she had repaid her, with rudeness even though it hadn't been on purpose. Of course having Myrcella standing by the door had given her even more guilty thoughts at the trouble she was causing upon the other. Of course all guilty slowly washed away when Myrcella had invited her to return to the library, when ever she wanted. "Really?" She asked, slowly taking the book in her hands. Without thinking of the consequences to lunge towards Myrcella to attempt to wrap her arms around her in a brief hug. If she managed to do so, she would be attempting to show Myrcella her gratefulness for the entire day. "Maybe I'll see you around, else where too." She whispered before turning to once more exit the library to head home.
Willow's hesitancy regarding the book thankfully faded after Myrcella had attempted to let her know that she was welcomed to visit the Library whenever she wanted to, even if it was before the due date. Had that not been enough, she would have been in a slight predicament, since.... she felt as though she lacked the experience and ability to help others out on a personal level. She was a little relieved that the gesture she tried to give was understood and received, and also brightened the girl's mood.
The young Angel's happiness was flicked on like a light switch and she even reached to give her a joyful hug in response, which was met with a look of surprise cross Myrcella's face from such a grand expression of affectionate glee. "A-ah, yes, really..." She awkwardly answered after the girl's enthusiastic lunge towards her, barely managing to dodge around it. She turned around her with a spin of her heels and gave her a quick pat on the shoulder to, erm... provide some form of amiable physical response without being... too close.
"I-I will see you around, Willow, and--" She cleared her throat, trying to gather herself as the girl begun heading out, "You make certain that you are truly heading home this time," Ugh, she wasn't the girl's mother or anything.... but she seemed like a handful. She hoped she was actually going home, instead of stopping somewhere else before it got late.
