Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Benjamin nodded his head in agreement. "Yes I do." He answered, still looking forward, though he wanted to see Alec's face, he didn't want to risk them getting too close again. It wouldn't surprise him if even their current distance was slowly becoming too much for Alec to handle. When the subject had been changed, he found his happy mood gone, having been replaced by his emotions. Hearing Alec's comment was somewhat comforting but it didn't change the fact that he was still worried about Abel falling in love with somebody else. He couldn't come to terms that he might have to let him go. "Search him out?" He asked, thinking the task wouldn't be too difficult. All he would need to do is draw attention to himself. Somebody was bound to put him on the bounty list and when they do, either Abel or somebody else with that job would come and collect.
"Oh yes, he did." He answered, a small smile had started forming on his face again. "At first I thought he was very accepting of it, but when we got married, I've learned that he enjoyed watching me wear them too. It was nice knowing I could please him no matter the outfit." No matter the outfit.... is that to say I could get him jealous if I start losing some layers.... I wonder.... Though he was guilty of getting drunk, knowing there was a chance he'd lose a shirt, he never thought about going for that sole reason.... maybe instead of wearing male clothing for that evening he should dress up much more fancy.... it hadn't crossed his mind but that would be sure to get Abel's attention, whether it be for the better or worse, one would have to wait to find out.
Alec wore a cheek grin as he watched Benjamin think on the matter, knowing the other was starting to get the idea. "So you realize, now, you have nothing to worry about. If there's anyone who can make that man fall in love with them, it's you. You were married-- you know everything he likes or dislikes. Use it." He asserted, making sure to push the point through. He was so caught up in the excitement of helping the other, the dull nausea that persisted in his body was no matter. "Alive or dead, you still have all the ammunition you need to seduce him. You said you're scared that he'll fall in love with somebody else... But even if that were to happen, would you really just leave it at that? Or would you steal him back? All you need to do is decide that you won't allow him to belong to anyone else, and take that first step forward." He continued with a wide grin, clearly all worked up from his pep talk. "It'll work out! He'll be realizing he's head over heels for you in no time, and you can get married all over again!" He concluded, his volume getting a little out of hand in the quiet of the night, before he reigned himself back in. Honestly, he probably wasn't the best person to be giving out relationship advice-- he hadn't even found his own special someone, yet. But that wasn't going to stop him from playing cupid.
Benjamin seemed to ponder the thought. "Your right." He agreed about a few minutes. "The only problem is, I don't know where he is at right now...." Seems deep in thought as he decides what exactly he would do next. "I think he'd enjoy seeing me in my dress next, however.... So that is what I'll do." He honestly didn't know if Abel would enjoy it or not but before he fell off the grid he had. I must find my husband... He thought to himself, feeling slightly better after having talked to Alec about it. "Your right." He glanced behind him to look towards Alec. "I wouldn't stop just there, I'd steal him back because he is mine...." He answered, proving to be rather possessive over Abel. Maybe killing us doesn't need to happen, maybe I can seduce him and find happiness again. He couldn't help but feel happier, putting the possible thoughts of having to die aside to win Abel's heart all over again.
"Alec, thanks so much." He looked behind himself to smile at Alec, clearly grateful. He couldn't help but blush when Alec mentioned getting married over again. Oh how that would be a bliss if he could get Abel drunk with him again, that is how they got married last time. Not that he had any regrets on the subject but he couldn't help but wonder if Abel had fallen off the grid because he had. No.. I must not think like that, I need to work on getting him back into my life. He thought to himself.
Alec returned the smile, ecstatic that he'd managed to put the other in a better mood and mindset. "Don't know where he is, hmm... Well, maybe I can help keep an eye out for the guy. Kind of my specialty." He joked, again walking just a little too closer in his excitement and nearly doubling over from the sudden twists of pain within his gut as his body complained of the toxicity in the air. Not wanting to ruin the other's improving mood, he managed to contain himself without a whimper, standing back up straight and taking a few steps back. It was a lot more struggle than he'd expected, just to keep a distance. He was naturally a very up-close-and-personal type of guy. But he could push through it. Though, even at the distance, he knew it was slowly getting worse. He just had to hold out for a little longer and make sure Ben would be alright. Taking in a deep breath and releasing it, he returned to his bright smile. "You're damned right you'd steal him back." He asserted with a nod. "Oh, I'm just glad I could help. It's not right for someone to be separated from their loved ones. It's only proper that you're able to get him back." Taking note that the other man now seemed to be blushing at the thought of re-marrying his husband, Alec grinned wide. "I know it'll work out for you. You don't seem like the type of man to let anything get in your way. Am I wrong?"
Benjamin couldn't help but smile when Alec offered. "As long as you keep your distance, I don't want you getting sick." He answered, "He is also an undead..." Though he had mentioned earlier that Abel had died, he wanted to make sure that Alec knew that he'd likely get sick if he got too close. It was comforting to have support on stealing his husband's affection back. "I still appreciate it." He found himself staring ahead, overjoyed over their conversation. I need to find Abel and get him to love me back and I won't stop until it happens. To Alec's comment, he glanced behind him. "No, you are correct. I won't let anything get in my way." He agreed, or anybody for that matter. If there was a small chance Abel was going to possibly fall in love with anybody else, he would make it his end goal to steal Abel back.
His husband was his and he wasn't going to give him up without a fight. Another cold breeze, he found himself slowly coming to a stop, though he was wandering around, after they had talked for a while he had forgotten if Alec had mentioned where he was headed. "Where were you headed?" He turned towards Alec. He was thinking it was about time he headed home but he didn't want to leave Alec in the slums alone. His hands held the coat closed to avoid allowing any breeze to enter so that he could remain warm.
Alec nodded and smiled, no longer quite as loud now that he'd gotten his point across. Now, he just focused on enduring the heavy air over his body for long enough to avoid ruining the mood with his fickle Half Fae weaknesses. He'd been out walking with no true goal, but it was nice to feel like he'd made a difference. He'd even made a new friend, which was always nice. "Headed? Oh, well, I didn't have any particular destination in mind, honestly. I just thought you could use some company." He admitted with a soft laugh. "I suppose it is about time I start heading home, though..." He continued, falling into thought. His body had been begging him to leave for a while, but he wasn't so weak as to listen. "It's been a nice night for walking. Thank you for letting me join you." Smiling again, he paused in his step. "I've got a long walk home ahead of me, so I'll be on my way. I'll have to come this direction more often, though... Oh, and I'll give you my business card if you'd ever want to visit!" He decided, though he was probably getting ahead of himself. Withdrawing the card he kept in his wallet just in case, he flicked it towards Benjamin with well-practiced precision, unable to get any closer at that point. "Let me know how things go, Ben."
Benjamin smiled at Alec, having no destination either. Sometimes walking around was nice and it helped him clear his head. "That is very nice of you." He answered, truly grateful. When Alec had thanked him for allowing him to join him, he shook his head. "No, the pleasure was all mine." He wanted Alec to know that he made a difference by sticking around instead of just backing away prior when he had found out that he was an undead. When Alec mentioned it being a long walk for him, he couldn't help but feel slightly guilty that he had kept him this long. "I hope you do." It would be nice to have another chat with Alec sometime. He watched Alec withdraw the card before flicking it in his direction. He reached out and caught it in his hands, examining it.
"I'll be sure to do so..." Though Alec had made it quite clear he could borrow his coat, he still felt guilty that Alec was going back home without it. "My home is closer than yours is, are you sure you don't want to walk with your coat on? As you mentioned, it is cold outside." Though he had been the one freezing earlier, it had been his own fault for not bringing a coat along. It wouldn't be fair to Alec to make him walk home without it. Since he had made Alec sick just by being an undead, the least he could do was keep him from possibly getting sicker, even if it was weather based instead of species as the reason.
As Benjamin offered to return his jacket, Alec shook his head. "No, no, I'll be just fine without it." He assured, chuckling. He really wasn't that cold. Though it might've just been that his body was distracted with bigger issues. "It won't take me too long to get home, anyway. I'm pretty quick on my feet, y'know." He explained with a cheeky smile, then taking a glance around at their surroundings. Even though it was just on the other side of town, it really was different from where he lived. Of course, it had it's own sort of charm. "The sky is really clear on this side of town, isn't it?" He noted idly, then looking back to Benjamin. "Have a good night, Ben. I hope you can find him, soon." He continued with a softer smile, then finally turning on his heel to head off towards his own home. It had been a good night. There weren't many feelings better than having truly helped someone. Honestly, it was why he chose the job he'd stuck with for nearly thirty years. Plus, he'd gotten a new friend out of it. As he moved further from Benjamin, Alec could finally feel the true weight of the illness crashing down over him. It was only once he was absolutely certain that he was no longer in eye range of the other that he allowed himself to collapse against a wall, his breathing heavy and labored from the intense nausea he'd allowed to build up. It was one of the worst feelings he'd felt in his already long life, as though all of his insides had been poisoned. By the time distance had allowed the illness to pass without getting any worst, he was a sweaty mess, partly convinced he might be dying. Standing from where he'd slumped against the cold wall, he knew now that interacting with Undead had very real consequences for him, but... He sure as hell wasn't going to let that stop him from doing it again.
