Kaylie Silas books just tell you knowledge... but nothing else. general info
appearance Kaylie is a young woman with snow-white hair, combined with a sky blue hue. You could rarely see Kaylie not wearing her pig-tails; she always puts those on in any other day. She has cerulean blue eyes, and her skin is a pale complexion, but not very close to white. She usually paints her nails either blue or white, but she doesn't really paint it most of the time; it's just if she is in the mode to. You can probably tell what her favorite color is just by looking at her clothes. Kaylie wears an array of blue and white colors, accompanied by her favorite sky blue shoes with pearls on its end. Some of her clothes have the slightest hints of yellow and black, which brings in the mode. She will rarely be seen wearing any other color aside blue and white, for example, pink. personality
Kaylie Silas is a friendly individual. She would immediately befriend anyone whom she finds as trust-worthy and kind. She is also an intelligent woman, capable of thinking out plans or solutions to any problem or dangerous situation. Decisions are a one time trip; once she makes a choice, she won't change it unless deemed necessary. She also finds noise quite annoying, and has no wish of ever adding in to the pollution, making her a quiet type, one who does not chat about unnecessary things. Kaylie, as an assistant librarian, is a diligent person. She loves helping out and will not spend a day sitting down and doing nothing. However, all people have their negative traits. Kaylie's diligence can go too far to the point where she would not rest because of work. This can worry her friends and family very much. Kaylie, when with friends, is also very over-protective of them, which can sometimes be regarded as too clingy if you look at it the wrong way. You won't like her if she's irritable. Anger her more, and you will know the reason why she is regarded as a true demon. Despite all that, even though Kaylie is friendly, she is a pessimist. This is a result of a dark past that she had years ago. Kaylie thinks lowly of herself, and refuses to think that everything would turn out fine in the end. abilities ILLUSIONS (master) Kaylie can conjure illusions flawlessly, and she manages to fool her foes just by showing them a false picture of the environment. She can make you think that you aren't in your room; instead, you are in a forest, lying and unaware of what to do next. All this cannot be done without a tome of illusions, though. Casting illusions without using a tome will drain her energy and make her faint after having casted the spell. Illusionary environments will not last long without a tome. TELEKINESIS (advanced) She still has much to learn about telekinesis. She can only lift light things, like a bunch of small rocks lying huddled together on the ground or the average bag of a high-schooler. She will get headaches though if the object she is controlling is much heavier. She doesn't stand a chance lifting large cabinets; you will find her having a bleeding nose and Kaylie fainting shortly after. This ability also requires a tome.FORCE FIELD (intermediate) Kaylie is still learning this spell, therefore she cannot cast a large forcefield that will protect a group or a mob. She can only cast a forcefield around herself, though this won't last long as she will faint and the field will dissipate shortly after. This also requires a tome.VOODOO (beginner) Kaylie is also quite interested in voodoo, as for her, it would help her unleash the darker side of her magic and take revenge on those she generally hates. However, she realizes that voodoo isn't that simple to learn if you do not have focus, the one thing she really truly lacks. For example, the curse she was about to bring might go to the wrong person, someone she doesn't intend on relaying the curse to. With voodoo, she can also relay curses, but as said, she is still very inexperienced with it. She would have to learn a lot more than that. Other She is not very good in other tomes of magic, and is still learning them. She will only be truly good in illusions, while the other two she is still trying to learn. Potion-making she is still trying to learn. Alchemy does not interest her that much, but since it is necessary, she will try to master it shortly after she is done with force fields and telekinesis. Charm-making is definitely below her list, but she would try to learn that, though. Just not immediately.backstory Kaylie was born to two humans; Gregory and Hilda Silas, both of whom were lesser-known witch/warlock. They had lived in a house hidden deep beneath a forest, and all the while she could always hear whispers from her father and mother back when she was a child; her parents would always be there for her, to protect her whenever she needed it. All she knew was... she was safe. Her parents were there for her, and she could think of nothing more. There was a vague memory, one she would always remember deep in her heart; her father would come in her room and lift her up, and he would twirl her around while she exclaims in excitement. During bedtime, her father would tell her such wonderful stories; about pirates, magic, and fairies. She would always wonder; was he a storyteller? A writer? All those thoughts slip away though, once she dozes off into sleep. Her father would always kiss her good night and wish her sweet dreams. She loved father very much. She felt the same for her mother. Mother was a good woman; always there whenever she needed it. She was also a great comedian, and would always make her laugh whenever she was sad. Her mother loves writing stories, too. She then discovers that her mother wrote the stories her father had always narrated to her each night. But then, not all things come good in the end. Kaylie couldn't remember much, but she did remember her parents screaming loudly and rather violently one night. They seem really scared of something, but Kaylie didn't know what. While wondering about, though, her father had entered her room in a hassle, panting and panicking as he ran up to her and lifted her in his arms. "Kaylie, do you trust Daddy?" He had asked her that night. Of course she nodded in response. Then he threw himself out of the window, with Kaylie clasped tight in his arms. Broken bones and blood splattered everywhere came next as they hit the ground. She was confused, asking whatever had happened, but her father had told her everything was okay now. There was nothing to worry about. All she had to do, according to father, was run. "Run, Kaylie. You don't want to be here any longer." She obeyed immediately, running into the forest with tears in her eyes. She realized the situation her father and mother were in right now. There were bad people who invaded the house. Mother was still in the house trying to drive them away. Father jumped out of the window and killed himself just to protect her. And Kaylie... she was just here, running away and not returning. Then, after a few miles, she begins to grow tired. Her vision starts blurring away and she feels herself stumbling to the ground. The last words she ever muttered before she was left to a deep slumber were the names of her parents, before finally she sleeps. ~*=*~ She awoke to the sound of birds happily chirping and the sun's rays hitting her face. Kaylie finds herself waking up on a bed, and eyes facing an unfamiliar ceiling. Where is she? How did she get here? Was she still in her room? But no... impossible. She can't be in her room. She ran away from home after her father had told her to. Kaylie looked around. Books? There were so many books here! They were lined up in the shelves, neatly and tightly packed just like that! She couldn't take her patience anymore. Standing up from the bed and walking up to one of the shelves, she couldn't tear her eyes off the pages anymore. Fairies, pirates, and even books of knowledge! What were they called again...? Tomes! Yes, tomes! They were all here! Oh, if only father and mother were here to enjoy these books with her... "Enjoying yourself, little missy?" An unfamiliar voice echoed round her ears, making her jump in surprise. An elderly man was standing by the door, a small smile on his face. She had apologized to the old man for dropping the book so suddenly like that, before finally putting it back on the shelf where it came from. Then, the question she had from earlier exited her mouth. "I-If you don't mind me asking, sir, where am I?" The old man smiled again. "The library, little missy." ~*=*~ She had spent her eleven years in the library, full of bliss and happiness, even helping out in arranging books for the townsfolk to read. The elderly man's daughter, who was her best friend and sisterly-like figure, took over the library and became the head librarian since her father died. Seeing her potential for keeping the library clean and books safely arranged, she was named the assistant librarian shortly after. She had also taken an interest in reading tomes, particularly those of illusions and telekinesis. Her parents were warlocks, too, so it was only natural for Kaylie to live on their legacy. Kaylie had made it her goal to learn a lot of spells using tomes, but so far she would have to focus on illusions and telekinesis first. Being an illusionist, she had managed to master the art of conjuring illusions to trick humans, but telekinesis she is still in the intermediate number. Force fields had also interested her, though she would still be too new for that. There were still more troubles out there, though. Kaylie had heard of someone woman named Zeredah who was forming a group of terrorists or something, though she really couldn’t care less. She’d only be caring about that if this Zeredah is gonna crash into the library door and hurt someone. She was a pessimist, sure, but that doesn’t mean she would allow some weird lady and her gang to hurt those around her, and those she loves. The only thing that’s probably gonna lessen her pessimist side, though, was a cat with three kittens whom she had found in the streets and later adopted a few weeks ago. “Flurry~! Where’s my sweet little kitty~?” misc * Kaylie... loves cats. Too much. She has a cat named Flurry, which she had adopted just a few weeks back. * Flurry became pregnant and had three kittens. | roleplayer info ☆ NAME Jail rose ☆ RP EXPERIENCE 3+ Years ☆ TIMEZONE Philippine Time Zone (pst) ☆ GENDER Female ☆ AGE 13-15 ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS @meredith @garret @zory @selina @jason ☆ FACE CLAIM Vocaloid, stardust (xingchen) ---------------------- THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO JAIL ROSE.
