Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

If there were a few places where Althea could enjoy her dances, it would be at the Ivory Woods. The beautiful fog that sometimes overshadowed the area made the whole place stunning, it made Althea want to dance her heart out, and this time, privately.
Coughing lightly, the young looking elf walked into a small clearing of the wooded area and got into some sort of position, seemingly flamenco. With this, the girl then got straight into business and started to clap her hands in a repeating manner. This got her ready for what was coming up.
With this, the woman then started dancing flamenco style, and she even smiled as she started to pretend as if she was wearing a skirt that was suited for the dance type, pretending to hold a skirt and wavering it around.
Continuing with her little dance, she started to giggle and her smile became bigger. She felt at peace again, she felt her feet become harmonious with the ground, dancing was a truly incredible thing.
A few minutes afterward the dance, she stopped. She was in some sort of ending position, and she was sweating, she always put her best in her dances, no matter what happened and no matter how everything went, she felt at peace...
Nothing was going to stop her again... not like last time...
a little reply for @althea Hope you don't mind Zoraya hopping in your thread, Althea~
Aria Village; a place she hasn't travelled to yet, at all, but because of a recent mission she was given her by the TRS and at the same time a book report given to her by her beloved friend Kaylie, she was forced to go there.
Not like she had anything else to do, anyway. So she was rather happy to go.
It was 12:00 p.m. at lunch when she had finally arrived at the said village; hopping off the cab she had driven on and finally paying the driver, she watched the beauty of the village in question unravel while she stood. It was rather large village, moreso comparable to a town, and with a few decent villagers walking and going about their daily lives around the place. Strangely enough, she could feel the aura of the people around here; and, secondly stranger than that, most of the people in this part of the village all seemed to be of a heavenly species.
Seems like there was more to this town than she had thought.
As much as she would love to stay around and chat with the villagers who greeted her as she passed by, she still has a mission to do. Somewhere in the forest named Ivory Woods, something needed to be found; and while her superiors didn't tell her about this said thing, they did give her a map with a mark and a compass and flashlight to help her along the way.
The Ivory Woods was large, so this wasn't going to be easier than she thought.
While she was walking along the woods, she could spot a figure in the fog, seemingly dancing in the darkness. Who in their right mind would be dancing in a place like this, she thought, but she decided to spy at that said person anyway. It wasn't easy sneaking up on them, though, as there were lots of sticks sprawled around the ground that could make noise to put off her target---
But she was successful in being stealthy, and the next thing she knew she was watching a woman dancing to no music in particular, but her movements were elegant and graceful and harmonious that she didn't need any music to accompany her at all. The young woman simply observed her behind a tree, until finally, she is done, halting and posing in a rather peculiar stature.
The angel simply blinks in disbelief, before grinning as a plan started to form in her mind. She slowly walked up to them and whistled in the fog, turning to the woman with an amused look on her face.
"That was some really elegant dancing there. I congratulate you."
Of course, with the female pretty much occupied, she danced her heart out without noticing that someone was watching her.
With the mist still pretty much invading her dance area, she was breathing hard, and sweat was slightly coming down from her face. She was exhausted, but it was so worth it. There was always that dancing itch that she just cannot seem to get rid of. For now however, it would have to do.
Hearing the clap, she stared at the mysterious figure in the fog, still holding her position and still breathing heavily. In fact, it seemed her heart was almost pumping out of her chest. The first thing in her mind though, was panic. She didn’t expect someone to be watching her. This part of the forest seemed so quiet to the point that there shouldn’t even be anybody passing by. This worried the lass a bit.
Halting the flamenco position, she rested her arms, got her legs back to normal and started to walk towards the lass.
“What are you doing here??” She asked softly. “I… didn’t expect anybody to be watching me.” She couldn’t help but ask, she was curious towards the girl and her purpose.
a little reply for @althea Zoraya is like "was I good at surprising you?" XD
The woman she was watching instantly whips her head towards her, and the look on her face is absolutely priceless; Zoraya couldn't help but giggle to herself after seeing the woman's face. She seemed so distraught, startled, absolutely timid and doesn't know what's going on or how she got here; the angel couldn't stop herself from giggling out loud.
Soon enough, she does consider what she should say to the other woman; it's only natural for others to be surprised by sudden appearances like hers. "I'm sorry... I must've startled you, have I?" She waves her hands in front of her and chuckles nervously, before her face returns to normal and she puts her hands behind her back. "I was just... curious, is all."
When asked what she was doing here, the young woman blinks, uncertain as to how she should answer that. "Uh... well, I was... uh..." She starts to ponder what she answer she should give the woman. Walking around wouldn't be possible and could take her away, and she couldn't reveal the mission she was given which was why she came here in the first place...
...A few seconds of silence from the angel and she suddenly laughs hysterically, her voice echoing around the forest. "I was just collecting some materials! Yes, of course! Haha! I happened to bump into you while I was at it." This would probably give her away and make the other female think she was lying, so she added, "Sorry, I was pretty tired and didn't get enough sleep a while ago. Guess I got myself in a mental block." Which was quite true in itself, because she slept at 2:00 in the morning and ended up being awoken by Kaylie at 5:00.
She then smiles at the woman and hopes all of that is forgotten. "So... how about you? What're you doing here?" She raies an eyebrow while questioning her. "Also, I didn't get to catch your name yet."
Althea couldn’t help but giggle at the girl, who seemed to be dumbfounded at the fact that the elf asked her a simple question.
“Ah, well, I don’t know what materials you would want here, but at the same time, none of that is really my business.” She spoke as she placed her hand on the girl’s shoulder as a way to calm her down. “You’re getting panicky… relax… you seem tense. Not that I am sure you are or not.”
Letting her hand go from her shoulder, she heard that the girl was tired, and she could see that to an extent. “Oh boy, I know that feeling.” She mumbled before sighing herself. “I sometimes dance all night to the point I notice that it is suddenly the morning.”
Hearing the girl’s question, she couldn’t help but chuckle herself. She was here to do some dancing, and the girl already seen that. It was really interesting to hear.
“Well, you saw the answer the moment you stumbled upon me.” Althea answered with a small smile on her face. “I was here to dance my heart out.” She tilted her head before crossing her arms. “I am a professional dancer, I dance at shows and I am a dancing fool.” She grinned before crossing her arms. “I was hoping to book a place nearby in fact, to see if they had a theatre or something. I live for the audience!” She announced.
That was when she began sway her hips to the side before grinning. “Care to join me??”
… She forgot to give her name out, but she can always give it later.
a little reply for @althea I am so sorry for the late reply! And yes, she does know dancing XD
The taps on the shoulders that the woman had given her as well as the soothing words that came while she did so did calm Zoraya down... whatever she needed to keep herself calm with. She took a deep breath and heaved, smiling at the other as she nodded in reassurance. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. It happens all the time." She tells the other woman, the same reassuring smile on her face. Work as a TRS Agent was stressful at times, add the fact that she was the head-librarian back at the Lorsette Public Library, but she wasn't one to rest even if told to. Work was work, she would always say.
The dancer did seem to experience such fatigue herself, explaining that dancing sometimes disables someone to pay attention to the time. It is evident in her statement of not knowing it was already morning because of her excessive dancing, and to some extent Zoraya could agree to that. "Hey, I feel you. Reading sometimes tells my brain to just keep reading, only to realize it's already 2:00 in the morning." She says with a chuckle. "And yes, even if the eyebags start showing up you still don't notice a thing."
Her confirmation that she was a dancer and her saying she wanted to book a job at this place made Zoraya wonder. "Hmm... yeah, dancing is amazing, but... why this place? Why not in Lorsette?" For granted, Aria is a small village, but perhaps she did get something wrong about the place. Maybe the finances would worry her if she worked here, though. "You don't have to answer anyway, though. Just wondering." She interjects later on, waving a hand in the air.
Then she asks if she wants to join her dance, and Zoraya smirks, crossing her arms. Sure, she hasn't had any experience with theatres before, but she does know how to groove. Only unless if there is some music to come along with it. "...Yeah, sure." Oh well. She would have to let the music rest for a while.
As she walks up to her, she raises an eyebrow and turns to the other woman with an amused look. "By the way, you still haven't given me your name yet." She stops beside her with a hand on her hips.
