Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

[attr="class","victoriousscroll"]A tinge of guilt couldn't help but remain within his system. Harold made a mental note to stop him once they were inside so he could help treat any scratch or small cut gained from his fall. Only wanting to help lead to these series of events playing which in turn made Harold wonder if he did a good thing after all. Even with the explained reason.... how it was the flowers and not him- he couldn't help but wonder if he still caused it to some extent? A gentle sigh followed by a small nod of his head. "Well then, I still apologize for everything. I'll hope you'll able to put on a few inches so those flowers could never cause injury to you again." It's a slight shift in tone, something more lighthearted to hopefully improve the air around them right now.
The skinwalkers head nodded as he watched the other male walk back off to return to the car. He had initially thought to continue onwards to the building but an idea formed in the back of his head that he instinctively felt the need to wait. His feet remained still as Zylan had gone out of sight, leaving him to his own thoughts. The instant he saw Zylan come to the fall had he not been paying attention to himself but the faint feeling of a soreness coming from the palm of his hands- and even the ache of his behind. He hadn't been the one yet it certainly felt like it which left his mind buzzing in confusion and slow analyzing of what it meant. His hands grip on the crate only tightened as a low hum parted from his lips.
It's never happened to him before with anyone. Maybe it'd ought to be best to ask if the other male knew why? Would it be a strange question? ...Would it possibly scare the male further? He'd feel worse about that. Harold took a deep breath as the cold wind continued to collide against his face. The weather and time of night was all soothing for the skinwalker and definitely aided in calming his nerves that risen from this whole ordeal. Only wanting to be friendly... put him in an awkward position. The additional realizations did nothing but make it all the more weirder he'd argue. The faint sound of approaching footsteps is what pulled him from his thoughts.
A friendly smiled followed by his head turning to meet him. "I decided to wait for you- so you didn't have to walk down this path by yourself." There was also some instinctive part of him that wanted to guarantee he wouldn't be frighten or have another fall so that was more additional reasoning for his patience in waiting for him to return. "Shall we continue onwards?"

[attr="class","victoriousscroll"]His heart panged with guilt at both the sight and sound which filled his vision and hearing upon their collision. Harold might've managed to keep the flowers from damage but the poor male before him wasn't able to see the same treatment. The regret of his actions consumed him, only wanting nothing more to be of aid... but seeing how he did the exact opposite Harold felt torn. It would've been best if he had just stayed indoors, not gotten involved at all! His face tugged into a small frown unbeknownst to him as he set down the crate of a moment. Flowers were second when it came to the safety of another person; especially someone as kind as the man he had been able to chat with before him.
"You say that... but..." His lips parted in a silent gasp as his eye glazed over the hands, barely catching glimpses of the cuts he had on his hands. "I'm so sorry! Truly!" The smell of blood, albeit a little was enough to catch the skin walkers attention. How could he have been so foolish? His teeth sink into his lower lip as his mind ran over the ways he could aid him. "I, I only wanted to help! We had such a lovely conversation- I thought... I thought it'd help to get things moving faster if I came to bring them in with you... but..." He pauses, breathing heavily as his words come out even more softer. "but... I was wrong."
"I'll carry in the flowers but please... let me help you clean those cuts and bandage them. At the very least... it's what I can do since all of this is my fault..." He bent back down to lift the box of flowers. The bandaged man wasn't about to take no for an answer. He made this mistake and wanted to be the one who'd make it up to him. "I didn't think I would frighten you like that but ah,,... perhaps I do have a little bit of a surprising appearance. " He forces laughter to tame his nerves. "It's not often you find a man as myself covered in bandages... "

[attr="class","victoriousscroll"]The door closed behind him with a loud click, his feet carried him away from the building within the moon light. The delivery of the flowers that had been ordered were unfortunately arriving a little later than the shop had hoped. The skin walker personally had no issues with this as his shifts usually fell within late into the night so he was well accustomed to being around the cemetery. Having two orders in coming both for funerals that were happening the day after with what Harold could only assume was a variety of issues that seemingly popped up. Harold was pretty understanding and he had also been under the belief it had been only one coming to deliver judging by the exchange of messages they had over phone.
It was a work filled conversation with small bits of information regarding getting caught up. A friendly person he had the chance to communicate with which oddly left him in a good mood so as a means of good spirit and grace did Harold want to see if he could assist the other in bringing the flowers to the holding room. Multiple trips of one versus multiple trips of two made the job a lot faster. Harold wanted nothing more but to assist the other in making this a fast job done so he could carry on with his night. He was sure there were better places to be than being stuck in a cemetery within the dead of night.
He had made his way half-way towards the entrance where the gate resided. Harold approximated in his head the timing of arrival although since it was an assumption he could be either right on point or be waiting for who knows how long. Although with the turning of the path, added in with the dimly lit walkway there was no preventing the collision between him and the smaller male. Harold responded surprisingly quicker than one might've assumed, feeling the rough impact of what he assumed to be the first crate of flowers, his arm moved to quickly secure the hold on him to prevent it from being dropped or the other from tripping. It would've been bad if that happened, wouldn't it?
Although what left Harold more confused was the sound of him yelping out of fear than anything like losing balance. He withdrew his hands immediately, even going as far to hold them up. "Ahh... I'm sorry! Are you alright?" He only wanted to help and yet... somehow Harold managed to terrify the poor man. "I didn't mean to frighten you that badly."

Eating his own flesh momentarily fights off the hunger and keeps himself satisfied enough.[BREAK] - As a result Harold carries a number types of different bandages on him at a time. He never knows when he might just eat himself so he has to be prepared.[BREAK] - Harold is fond of wearing clothes that covers as much of his skin as possible since he looks kinda sickly due to being a skinwalker. Most of his clothing is long sleeved with the additon of a long sleeved jacket or coat.[BREAK] - His soulmate is Zylan Meyer.[BREAK]
[attr="class","smoll"]- A promise of sweet words and a future of what he believed was to be happiness had been what motivated Harold to use forbidden magic. He was once a strong necromancer, influenced by the plague of love for someone who deep down wanted to do wrong upon him. Though they had the necromancer around their finger and it was how Harold ended up using the magic to try to make them immortal which resulted in the death but also rebirth of him as a Skinwalker.[break] - With the change that had been thrusted upon him, it opened his eyes to the reality of the situation. Heartbreak mixed with anger had fueled him to devour the person whole as a result. The rage ceased the moment he had consumed them whole and from then on did Harold began his life anew. [break] - It took years of exploration and trials for Harold to come to understand how to adjust to the sudden change of no longer being the Necromancer he once was. He travelled around for a long time, eating what scraps he was capable of scrounging up. He longer had his magic or his companions out of the fear he caused them. Being outcasted had caused a hole in his heart to appear and anytime word would come out of his species; it would all repeat.[break] - Harold ended up isolated once more and ignored by all. It took finally moving and settling down in Lorsette for him to find even any ounce of community for him to belong in. Getting hired at a local cemetary and slowly easing himself back into society after distancing himself for so long. He's heard rumors and tales of evil aligned Skinwalkers but Harold told himself he'd never become like that
