appearance Standing at five foot eight and boasting a body frame meant for combat, Hawke is easily picked out as someone who isn’t a pushover in a fight. Boasting broad shoulders, scatterings of pale scars over his back and torso, and muscles that are easily noticed, he easily classifies as a fighter. He has some facial hair, as well as messy charcoal black locks of hair, and dark crimson irises. The clothing he wears is usually in monochromatic shades, though sometimes complimented with a splash of red. He has several plain silver rings across his fingers, and a single pendant, usually kept tucked beneath his shirt. His back boasts rather detailed black wing tattoos. Hawke’s familiar form is that of the largest species of wolf- the Mackenzie Valley Wolf. Standing at fourty inches tall at the shoulders and weighing in at a hundred and seventy pounds of muscle, the wolf side is definitely not one you’d want to come under attack from. With a crushing bite power of 1,500 pounds, he won’t hesitate to rip an enemy to shreds. Matching his human form; the wolf has charcoal and sable mixed fur with ominous scarlet eyes. personality •Snarky. ”I didn’t get the memo your feelings were the only ones that mattered, princess.” Hawke isn’t someone that will take jabs or shit from anyone, especially not if it feels undeserved. While some of it may be meaner sarcasm, he can also be snarky in a more playful way, especially if it’s someone he has grown fond of. •Cynical. “The world doesn’t work the way you want it to. People rarely do the right thing unless it benefits them in some way.” Hawke is critical of the intentions of others, and often believes the world and fate to be something that can and will kick you when you’re down. He claims this is a part of being a realist, but that’s debatable in truth. •Loyal. “You gave me something to believe in .... I won’t leave your side until you want me to.” Hawke is very much a traditional wolf, as in his sense of loyalty as a pack animal are strong. He makes extreme efforts to be there for those he considers a part of his life, and will often lend a shoulder or other support if needed. •Rebellious/strong-willed/Instinctual. “If you want me to stop, you better stop me yourself.” A large reason for so much of the issues he had through life were because of these traits. Hawke is very close to his animal side and reacts a lot based on instincts, and to make matters worse, his strong-willed stubborness to what he thinks is the best course of action, or thing he has his heart set on, take a lot of effort to sway. His rebellious streak is also somwthing that can make him seem almoat rude to some, as unless you have earned his respect, no matter your occupation, status, or title, he won’t care. •Impulsive/reckless. “I don’t have anything to lose.” Hawke often will act in dangerous or risky situations without stopping to think it out first. While this flaw was far more rampant in his younger years, it can still present itself in situations and get him into a tough patch here and there. •Fear of loss/abandonment ”Everyone I have ever cared about has died or thrown me aside like yesterday’s garbage. I don’t think I’d survive it if you left me too...” Not all of it undeserved, Hawke has been essentially relocated to Lorsette having everyone he ever had an attachment to die in the field or through some other circumstance, or abandon him, whether it was his former master who broke their contract, or those who cast him aside for other reasons. •Protective/vengeful/holds a grudge “If I ever see your face anywhere near them again, I’ll kill you. I will not stop hunting you until one of us is dead. And it’s not going to be me.” Hawke is VERY protective over those he feels camaraderie towards. The levels of protectiveness ramp up depending on attachment level, and factors such as whether he thinks they’re competent in being able to defend themself. If you hurt someone he’s close to, heaven help you. If it’s severe enough, he’ll hunt you to the ends of the earth to make you pay. •Flippant/honest “Whatever you say, your majesty. That’s fourty seconds of my life I’ll never get back.” Honesty might be brutal here, in all honesty. You’ll never wonder where you stand with him, between body language and how and what he says to you will make it crystal clear if he doesn’t like you. Counterspells: Intermediate. backstory Amongst the spine of a mountain range lived a pack of wolf familiars that roamed the untamed wilderness, with all the freedom that living as feral animals allowed. Proud and strong, they were respected almost as guardian spirits by the locals. Hawke’s story starts when he was born in the spring, raised to be tried and true to his instincts. To live life free and proud. His life changed at the turning point of ten years old, where a bitterly harsh winter shook the pack, his mother leading him to a village for shelter, as the pack had been starving. There she approached a witch who was well-respected and left Hawke in her care, and that was where the balancing act as living as human and wolf began. Young Hawke was not easy to handle, often aggressive and instinctual - for many years behaving as more animal than human. Eventually when he became more able to fit in, the witch moved into a big city and enrolled him in school. At first schooling was difficult, Vex getting into a lot of fights and still having more aggressive and wild instinctual habits. After he acclimated, he did quite well, though there was still reckless and impulsive behaviours to deal with. Though as years progressed, he became more and more disciplined, to his guardian’s surprise. Vex had fallen in like with a female who had captured his attentions, and began focusing his energy into studies and training. He naturally followed her to higher education, and eventually amongst the ranks of the FBI. His natural skills in tracking and natural athleticism made the rate of people who would manage to escape once they were in the field lower drastically, but that still didn’t stop things from going bad from time to time. Despite having put away who his true self was to try to mold himself into someone perfect for her, he was still instinctual and reckless - often taking risks as was in his nature - especially if the potential outcome was in his favor. Being a pack animal - ever time a loss was incurred in the line of duty, he would feel as though he was losing a family member. It made his protective drive increase, though he still could not protect them all. After an agent he was close with ended up killed in action, it seemed that all hell broke loose. His drive to truly punish those they pursued increased, as did his recklessness, in a vicious cycle that ended up in him getting reprimanded and punished several times. Eventually, his partner and contract ended things and he was sent away, let go for his spiraling behaviour, “until he could put himself back together.” Barely gritting his teeth through the breaking of a contract, Hawke ended up during travels in Lorsette. Time passed as severe alcoholism set in, and his vices all but swallowed him up whole. Refusing to let his natural combat skills go to waste, Hawke ended up becoming a hunter for the TRS. misc *While Hawke drank here and there before, after his dismissal from the fbi team he was a part of, he became a hard alcoholic, running from the future, a broken heart, and all of his mistakes by drinking at every opportunity. It’s rare to see him sober, as he’s usually varying degrees of drunk, or hung over. Add on top of that fact that he has a very high alcohol tolerance, and you get one hell of a party. *Hawke has and will probably continue to entertain flings until and if someone expresses an interest in something more than that. Hawke in an actual relationship is extremely loyal and won’t hesitate to hard reject anyone interested, or that he may have had something with before. *After his contract was broken and he was removed from the fbi team his master was in, he remains uncontracted. *Hawke had been in love with and dating his former master. However, after she found someone more stable and well-off with to settle down with, she threw him aside like garbage.
