Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Starlight Beach. A very beautiful area of nature, that sadly would be swarmed by all manners of tourists once the sun rose the next day.
Thalia had waited nearby, keeping herself from being seen entirely by any of the loud tourists, hoping for the sun to set faster so she could enjoy the coolness of the water herself. It was quite beautiful and always made her feel at ease. Places like this were what kept her around Lorsette and not just secluding herself in the woods. Watching the gentle crashing of the waves reminded her of how beautiful the world still was.
The elf took a seat on a nearby dock, letting her legs hang off the edge. Lucky for her, most people were gone now, so they wouldn't notice her lone figure relaxing there for some time. When she was certain no humans were around here, the elf began to hum gently, letting her voice flow over the waves, singing of a place far over the ocean that she had heard of from her family. The song would be recognized by most sailors and historians as a tale passed around of a legendary island holding various beasts and fruits that no one has seen.
Thalia continued to hum as she moved a hand in the water, thankful for the calmness of the beach tonight. The waves weren't too high, the gentle crashing was actually beginning to lull her into almost a state of meditation. She was at peace. It wasn't often that the elf was able to do such due to the patrols that occur throughout the day and the vast amount of people that would come here, throwing trash into the water and leaving behind a variety of goods. It was rather disgusting, but most people did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.
Thalia continued gazing out towards the horizon, humming her song, as she tried to push the negative thoughts of pollution from her head.
[attr="class","distortpost"]An adventurous day had it been on land! The land people were such unique and charming people although he's had a few run in that left the merfolk feeling a bit puzzled. Old books could only do so much for the merfolk to learn, some of the mannerisms he read about seemed to feel rather dated given the number of mediocre or somewhat sour responses received. There was so much he still was in need of learning but he hadn't been able to find any clear way of figuring out the right path to obtain such things. People gave brief answers or all together avoided him and carried on with their life.
Was it rude to randomly intercept? The merprince felt unsure; the last thing he ever wanted to do was tread disrespectfully on the traditions and customs of those who lived on land but he knew none of that. He needed someone to show him the way until he could stand on his own two feet. He knew the task of obtaining such a person was slim but he hadn't thought it was this difficult. Amon-ra exhales heavily as his feet came to a halt at the start of the docks. All of this left the prince feeling troubled and so it was why he to the one place he could clear his thoughts.
Amon-ra wanted nothing more but the gaze upon the sea and wash away his worries to the pleasant sound of the waves rolling and crashing into one another. It would also embark one of his many first nights under a sky that suddenly felt all the more different now that he had been on land. The merfolk was curious about what sight he would see! It definitely boosted his dejected mood back up into a far more positive one.
"Oh my!" He speaks a little too loud but he couldn't help himself! The sight of a women- much like him, sitting at the docks. Perhaps she was also like him? Although... the chance of that was very slim. Out of respect for boundaries did Amon-ra take a seat with some space between but he couldn't help but stare. Maybe this was his chance to communicate with another person for more than several minutes?
"Are you also here to ease your worries?"
