There's only one thing Ieyasu wanted in his life, something that no matter how hard he tried for it to succeed for some reason it always came around to blow up right in his face. This time around the explosion took place in a face he's long disassociated with him preaching to him facts and accusations about the son he had been placing all of his faith in. It earns a death look of the century with the occasional twitch of the corner of his lips or a low-growl to come up from his throat. Resisting the urge to throw the male before him out of his home was strong but learning about the potential betrayal of the son who he had been riding on was something he couldn't just do.
No matter which son it was they always would do the same thing. Find some way to get out of it- to disappoint him or do something which suggests their poor behavior. He hadn't been expecting it in his eldest and he certainly hoped his youngest children would've learn from their older's mistakes... yet.... here he was. Ieyasu grinds his teeth while his hand slammed down on the table. "Lacuna." The name he gave his brother resounds from his lip in a threatening tone. "It's enough for now. Quit your yapping." His hand on the other hand retrieved the cellphone he had settled on his desk. The room became silent and he did make note of his brother's fidgeting as he had made a phone call.
"Come to my office now." He had not hesitated to speak the moment he heard the call be picked up; his irritation dripped with each syllable that left his mouth. There was hell to be paid on this day- He wasn't going to let yet another son of his get away with doing the same many before had. Ieyasu was fed up and there was time he made consequences to fucking up like this. As far as he was aware, his brother could be lying but his thoughts can't help but to believe this words. Given Issei's behavior on top of his past experiences- his children plotting against him wasn't anything new.
Yet it didn't mean he wasn't going to be mad. It didn't mean he wasn't allowed to punish or scold. It was his first time learning beforehand of it and for the first time... the cards were in his hand. His son wasn't going to flee and he could carry out the consequences of going against him. For those that remained; Issei was going to be the reference for them. Of what happens when you don't follow what's expected of you- of what happens when you scheme and try to worm your way out of what you were going to have.
The sound of the door opening followed by the piercing silence and the soft gasp that left one of his youngest children was enough of a confession for Ieyasu. His gaze darkens as his hand grips his desk tightly. "Close the door behind you and take a seat next to your Uncle, Issei."
