She didn't exactly have the most good upbringing before this point in time. Facing heavy neglection and barely getting the minimum amount of attention needed from her mother alone. Though when her tenth birthday rolled around the reason as to why had gradually became obvious to her the moment her mother failed to protect her from the man that was meant to be her father. Not only was she exposed to the abuse that her mother faced from her father but she had the luxury of also experiencing it herself. No longer being one to sit still and quiet, she would of course go to her mothers defense but soon she would learn why that had been a bad decision. A smack across the face met with harsh words that brought her to tears, wrist painfully grabbed as she was pulled towards a room she had never seen before. The sounds of her mother pleading with her father had Zoe overwhelmed and far more terrified for what was to come. Words that were spoken to her on that day still haunt her even now in the present. If she was able to show how strong she was here... then surely she was strong enough to handle what he had to give her is what was said. It was the first time her father had forced drugs onto her that he had created himself. Never did he see her as his daughter but perhaps a tool he could further utilize when she had been of age for his research. The medicine had been taken with force and the experience she went through was gruesome for a child of her age. The intense pain mixed with nausea was far too much for her to handle so when she passed out and awoke a few days later. She had been locked up in a room and separated from her mother which only caused Zoe to panic all the more when she realized what had been happening. Unfortunately, this had become the normal of Zoe's life from this point onwards. The things he'd force her to take would gradually get worse and worse. The familiarity of pain and sickness was a constant but never ever did she get used to it. The abuse came and went; her mother did all she could to take the blunt of it but the times when they were forcefully separated... there was no way her mother could stop him from harming their child in those times. A world of hers which felt as if they were on a boat in rocky seas. Constantly shaking and never stable to where she felt so sick that days blurred together. How long time passed became more and more harder to discern. She felt as if she had been at the end of her days... until the taste of freedom had been given to her. A day where her father forced her mother and Zoe to join him in an event he had been invited to. Instructed to behave as if they were a happy family who loved each other dearly... but the moment both her mother and Zoe saw it. Her mother had encouraged Zoe to run away and while Zoe insisted for her to follow her mother adamantly refused. With tears in her eyes and realization of what would come from her mother saying such a thing... Zoe knew she had to be fast. A fateful encounter took place; rather than run away and into the streets she had ran right into a man by the name of Aureole Mihailoichi. Given the state she had been in it was obvious something had been wrong. The question came and she couldn't help but plead and inform him of her situation. A stranger who she figured would never care but to her surprise it was the exact opposite. He didn't hesitate to sweep her up and take her as far away as she could from this event. Away from her mother, away from her father but Zoe knew this wouldn't be the end. The life she knew had been turned upside down and for once... she had been given a safe place to live but the damage that had been dealt was far too much that it effected her negatively. Even if she felt safe and cared for by how Aureole treated her she couldn't stop the influx of nightmares, moments of finding herself in a daze and seeing things that weren't there. Flinching and being triggered by the sounds which reminded her of things that she had to go through. Being far too easily startled, watching her surroundings much more than she needed too. Even now is she unable to break such experiences. Zoe feels as if she's stuck in a standstill; freed but still in the grasps of her father mentally. It wasn't until a few months later that she had learned of the news of both his and her mothers passing. It hit her like a truck and she had only spiraled further into a bad state of mind. Losing her mother felt like she lost the one person on her side until... Aureole had stepped up. No matter how bad things got, no matter how unresponsive or liable to mood changes she was did he remain at her side. He helped her when no one else did, he took care of her and promised that she'd be okay. Such treatment made her grow a large attachment and barely did she manage to stabilize or at least revert back to where she was prior upon learning about the death of her parents. From here on she had opened up herself to him much more and the two became closer. The time spent with him had began to let her heal, even if she had moments of trouble at times. She isn't sure where her future would go from here but she did know with Aureole here with her... surely she'll be able to make it out on top. CHARACTER'S MISC
