Verliezen Halo I won't show mercy on you now general info
appearance Often described as attractive, Verliezen is at the very least distinctive looking and unique. Verliezen stands at around six feet tall, and weighs about what one should for his height and body build, if not a little bit lighter. Verliezen has toned, strong muscles beneath his clothing, and a few pale scars scattered like spiderweb glass cracks across his skin, though they are extremely hard to notice, as they have faded so much. His complexion is a touch paler than most, though not to the extent where he could be mistaken for unhealthy. Defined facial features make up a distinctive face, though he is certainly not the only one with this particular facial structure. Intense eyes colored a vivid red are often compared to that of a cobra’s stare, enough to freeze someone in place if they don’t have a strong enough will - though it’s always toned down enough unless you’ve made him unhappy. His hair is well-kept and extremely silken to the touch, and appears as white, grey, or silver depending on light conditions - though it is mainly referred to as silver. Verliezen tends to wear more traditional japanese clothing, down to the signature coat he always have on him - marking him as even easier to pick out of a crowd if his features weren’t enough. Beneath the coat he usually wears form-fitting clothes in dark colors that remain comfortable for long periods of time and are easily breathable. personality Driven, strong-willed, and more of a secretive, private person, those that know of Verliezen often describe him as having an intense personality. Verliezen is intelligent, whip-sharp and as perceptive as they come - and when paired with a very analytical and fast learning curve - the ability to innately read others like an open book once he starts to learn how they are, even small, minute changes like a change in voice pitch or subtle body language signs - can alert him of what topics are sensitive, and the state of their emotions. He can very quickly pick up on if something is wrong or if the mood has changed fairly quickly. Being a heavily emotional person who has learned to temper himself in many situations, lend to him picking up on the emotions of others even more than his perceptive and intuitive nature already lets him. This being said, it makes him an extremely skilled manipulator - easily able to predict and sway the feelings and actions of others with subtle nudges or feeding them what they want or need to hear or have. Vengeful and cruel to those who cross him, Verliezen’s sense of justice goes far beyond what even most would go to. The phrase “an eye for an eye” is often used to describe those with a taste for justice (or vengeance) but Verliezen doesn’t stop there. It could be described more as “an eye for two”, as he will prefer inflicting suffering and living in fear than an easy death. Due to his reclusive nature, he seldom allows people to truly close to him. Becoming close with Verliezen comes with it’s own sets of dangers and trials, as holy fuck does this man have major issues. Above and beyond all else, Verliezen is possessive, due to the fact that he has lost many a person near and dear before. His emotional state is often driven into an overactive, volatile, and unpredictable state by those that manage to become important, even if it’s not even in a romantic sense. He will go to absolute extremes for these people, even as the feelings more often than not consume him entirely. His rage plays a forefront here, if he is betrayed by someone close, his vengeance streak becomes a thing to be feared when paired with this rage - as he will be inclined to destroy everything about the betrayer until nothing’s left. He refuses to accept deep down that someone he loves would dare to hurt him, and would kill them to preserve their memory as something he cares about. While he can play any role needed at a time, as part of his manipulating and survival tactics he picked up on over the years, he doesn’t hold any love of the act of being something he’s not. This has also made him savvy to his own tricks - and he’s much more likely to pick out someone putting on an act than anyone else who doesn’t have his experience. He doesn’t like it much when people try to fool him, even though he often employs the same tactics. How hypocritical. abilities Natural: Verliezen will not physically age further, he has enhanced durability, the ability to taste magic with his tongue, is stronger during the night, and has a natural thermal resistance. He is no exception to the typical draconic weaknesses to poison and drugs. Enhanced Strength: Mastered. Pain Resistance: Mastered. Darkness Manipulation: Mastered. backstory So you place your trust - your faith in Akari and the angels? Verliezen was born and raised by a close-knit dragon clan, and often was not left neglected or wanting for much. The clan was extremely devout in it’s belief, devotion, and belief in Akari, and were very much the type to say that heaven species as a result were above all others. While Verliezen never really became a specist as his family is - he had followed and believed in Akari as his family did, though perhaps not to quite the same fanatical extent. From a young age he learned how to use his abilities - how to discipline himself so that he would never risk shifting. With a high power of will and dedication, Verliezen proved to be a natural at easing into the natural gifts he was given as a dragon - making a majority of the clan proud. What they weren’t quite so proud of, though, was the way that Verliezen would treat species from the other places with as much care and openness as heaven species. What ultimately saved Verliezen from being reprimanded too harshly was just how well he excelled at everything else - though he was by far smart enough to pick up on the mood. When the war started to pick up, Verliezen’s mentor, who he had grown close to at this point, took to drastic measures to encourage Verliezen to take part in it - believing his natural skill would help turn the tides. After Verliezen refused his mentor eventually slaughtered Verliezen’s friends that were hell species in an attempt to show that war had no mercy and the sooner he wisened up, the sooner he could help them win the war. Instead, feeling betrayed, Verliezen turned on his mentor in rage and retaliation, his usual control slipping as he killed his mentor for what had been done. Verliezen left his clan behind, and had indeed been dragged in the war - though to no large or even favorable extent. In his rage he would take down members of either side if they came too close to him. After the war eventually closed, Verliezen did not check ip on the status of his clan. Anyone else he had cared for had slowly dwindled down during the war, and he continued to focus on himself and setting himself up to succeed and thrive. He largely ignored the creation of the TRS and AP, and as the years continued on of him watching things happen, grew to disdain both sides. More importantly, as the years carried on - his disgust of the gods themselves evolved into straight up hatred - believing that if it weren’t for their petty drama that things would never have turned out the way they had. It’s a foolish thing you believe. I pray to no god. misc *Verliezen is a Scorpio. *Many mistake Verliezen as an atheist, when this couldn’t be further from the truth. Verliezen doesn’t mention or pray to gods not out of a lack of belief, but because he utterly despises them. *Verliezen holds no favorable differentiation for species as others do (including his own). As example; many state their beliefs that angels are good and demons are evil - while Verliezen holds both in equal contempt. He has witnessed angels worse than any old demon story, and demons as virtuous as angels as a whole are made out to be. Verliezen judges everyone on an individual basis - though if anyone has a mistaken pride in their species - acting like they’re above others - it will get under his skin. *Verliezen views both the TRS and AP as wrong - believing both think they have the right answer but they are both twisted up and misguided - and as such thinks that neither are really good or worth much. *Verliezen is fucking loaded financially - he created and owned both a weapon-making company and an electronic/security company - though the reason he is not well-known despite this is because he uses a different name for them - and often uses a decoy person as the business figurehead - he allows very few people to know the truth. It all depends on trust or if the person is very important themselves. *Verliezen as a result is very good at electronical things like coding and hacking, and is extremely well-versed in the usage of a majority of weapons. He has after all had a long time to learn and better himself. *Despite occasionally longing after true friendships, Verliezen will often refute any attempts to get close to him vehemently - unless it’s a rare instance where someone catches his interest. Who catches his interest and intrigue is very unpredictable - there doesn’t seem to be a set type. *Verliezen had trained and hand-picked the figurehead for his companies. Chihaya might look young for the position - but Verliezen knows what he’s doing. Chihaya is one of the few people Verliezen actually trusts. In return, Chihaya is only truly loyal to Verliezen. | roleplayer info ☆ NAME Kitsune ☆ RP EXPERIENCE Forever ☆ TIMEZONE Cst ☆ GENDER Female ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Many ☆ FACE CLAIM Devil Survivor, Naoya ---------------------- THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO kitsune.
