Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

[attr="class","liklovstuff2"]His fifth pair of disposable gloves of the day had been discarded into the trashcan located in the teachers lounge with a long drawn out sigh from the dhampir. He's heard his horror stories about all kinds of people of ages but Wolf truly was one of the many who believed developing teenagers were truly the most horrifying of all. The amount of anxiety spikes he received alone today was enough to keep him on edge from the rest of eternity. His scratched up hands rubbed against one another with unease while yet another sigh parted from his lips. [break][break] His students knew of his situation but there were a few who eagerly liked to pick fun at his problem but Wolf was under the belief they were not really aware of just how severe the actions they do were. Wolf wanted to give them the benefit of doubt; believing that since they were just kids... a punishment shouldn't be too harsh. Although the reality of what he went through... his items "accidentally" getting soaked by one of these troublemakers in the later classes he had was the worst experience he's had yet in this semester. It was a mess... and he had to do all he could to not dissolve into a panicked mess. He was grateful to some of the other students who had stepped up in his defense but of course; he handled it as any teacher should. [break][break] A decent scolding... and while the students on his side insisted it was intentional, Wolf couldn't bring himself to punish for such reason. There just wasn't enough proof but he also wanted to believe that those students weren't so heartless. It left him terrified; in a stressed and overwhelmed state. Luckily for him it was finally freedom from the students to where he can return to the teacher's lounge to regain himself. A nice coffee break before he inevitably returned to his class to work on grading various assignments and preparing for tomorrows lesson plan. [break][break] A third sigh left his lips but the skittish dhampir couldn't help but perk up at the sight of a slightly comforting face. "V... vylielle!" He greeted him as he quickly moved to slip on a new pair of disposable gloves before the chaotic male could see his unsightly hands. Perhaps the arrival of the other was perfect timing? "I was AB-..about to make coffee and urmmm... " He pressed his lips together, a low rumbling grunt came from his throat. [break][break] "Could I possibly g... get your opinions on something?" When you weren't sure about something fully... it was always good to ask another person for second opinions, right?
It had taken a little bit to get things in the classroom back into order, as things had been left into places they didn’t belong. It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for students to forget to return things to where they belonged, as they were usually in a rush to get out the door. Today was already seeming to drag on his energy levels, making his usually low energy levels infinitely worse. Vylielle could in all honesty probably lay down anywhere, no matter how uncomfortable, and just pass out. [break][break]
For now, trying to truly recharge would have to wait. There were still classes to teach, and other duties to attend to. After all of those were done, then maybe he could collapse in rest. His subdued steps take him towards the teacher’s lounge, a place of reprieve. More coffee might just do the trick, a last hurrah energy boost. One of these days his body might just give out, collapsing in on himself. [break][break]
Upon entering the room, it was almost immediate that he noticed the other occupant. ”Wolf?” The mage’s voice was obviously tired and lacking any sort of energy, the dark circles marking his pale skin telltale signs of lack of sleep. He was more at ease though, someone more familiar easy to allow himself to not be in guard over. His steel eyes focus on Wolf as he starts to speak again, the slight tilt of his head making it clear he was listening. His lips quirked slightly at the question, though he gave a small nod. [break][break]
”Mhm. Go ahead.” Vylielle was if anything, good at listening. While any answer he might come up may or may not be satisfactory or what was entirely expected, that was a different story entirely. He was almost entirely a logical thinker, and so if the question was of emotional importance, might not be the best suited. [break][break]
Nonetheless, the tired chemistry teacher would do his best for whatever it ended up being. He had never been the type to not put in a full effort, and something like this was really no different. Once he focused or thought on any one thing, it often captured his full attention, until the matter was figured out or dealt with. Such is the way of being someone a little more analytical. [attr="class","liklovstuff2"]Upon the willingness of the co-worker of his being okay with aiding him in this inner battle he had been having earned a large sigh of relief out of Wolf. Having to deal with this all on his own would've been something that took far too long for him to reach a decision on, and by then it might have been too unprofessional of him to even approach the student responsible about their behavior. Wolf's hands moved to retrieve a coffee filter from the container of them as he settled it with ease inside the machine before him. [break][break]
Shakily had his hands reach for the container of crushed coffee beans as he begin to formulate within his mind how he intended to share the issue of his with the gray haired male behind him. Vylielle was reliable for this type of problem solving. Wolf handled things far too emotionally than he did realistically or logically. He would be whisked in the favor of forgiveness if something as simple as a heartfelt apology would be given to him. Overlooked all the terrorizing he went through and probably ignore the fact it was bound to happen again.[break][break]
"There's been a group of students I've been having issues with..." A pause. "Moreso... there's one student leading them but mmn... I don't think they would do it normally...!" His hands had been scooping the crushed beans into the filter as he explained. Having this task to do helped him feel more at ease talking. "They've been um, occasionally pulling pranks on me!" Pranks was far too kind of a way to put it and definitely didn't represent all of what had happened to him. They were meant to be harmless and not do anything bad which didn't fit the bill of what happens to him.[break][break]
Wolf swallowed thickly. "Today they have done so again but far more worse than before. I... I'm not unused to my condition being mocked but ah, this group of students purposely go out their way to erm... m..maybe accidentally cause me further discomfort by pouring something I don't know if it was done on purpose or not but, ah... it got all over my arms and feet." He sighs. "I don't know what to do here..."[break][break]
Patiently the mage waited for Wolf to speak, wondering what it could be that was troubling him. It was clear that something was, though Vylielle mainly kept that thought to himself. Even if such a thing was somewhat obvious, his politeness and respect level for Wolf was far too high to make a comment about it. Life as a teacher was not without it’s stressors, something that many tended to overlook. You’d think some parents would be a little more sympathetic, given they occasionally tried to push parenting onto teachers as well. [break][break]
As Wolf speaks, Vylielle listens. Student troubles it was, something Vylielle could understand to an extent. Student issues for the mage tended to be more of a careless variety, leaving equipment laying around instead of putting it away. Nothing to this extent, at least not usually. Normally if it was himself, he’d just tell them they needed to stop outright. ”You might have to start giving consequences to them if it gets bad... Like sending them away from class or detention if they don’t stop. Depending on severity of what happens, of course.” [break][break]
Maybe it was somewhat harsh, but normally students behaved a little more after that. Hearing the further explanation, the mage’s brows furrowed. ”Wolf...that doesn’t sound like something I’d label a prank. Even if it’s difficult, you really should put your foot down. At this point, they might just think they can push you around...” [break][break]
A slight pause, as he thought over what he’d say next carefully. Normally, he wouldn’t tread on another teacher’s toes by interfering. ”If you’d want me to ... I could help you out here.” It was merely an offer, one that wouldn’t hold any hard feelings if it was brushed aside or was not needed.[break][break]

[attr="class","liklovstuff2"]The sounds of the coffee machine fell to the background noise as his attention fell more on the words that his fellow co-worker had been speaking to him. "Con-consequences?" He gulps quietly, voice trembling with the repeat of the word. Consequences... oh dear... to have to go that far. He nearly pales in the face as he tried to navigate the thoughts that were rushing in. Nothing sounded more terrifying than having to be harsh with his students. If you took one good look at Wolf it should've been more then obvious that he lacked the ability to even bring himself to consider speaking in a stern tone at another person.[break][break]
The idea of having to do such things brought him great anxiety and yet a part of him knew this to be correct. It was something expected of the job - but... but... he had hoped he wouldn't have to go this far. Couldn't the dhampir have killed this with kindness? His shoulders droop in defeat as his head nods weakly. "You know better than I do when it comes t-to this stuff but it's still so... hard for me to do such things like that." He wanted to be a good positive example and his hopes rode on the fact that his students would follow suit! Though... it did him more worse than bad unfortunately this year around.[break][break]
A lot of his students fell on the more rowdier sides... and there were points where he couldn't even get a word in. They'd just... ignore him and do as they pleased. It stumped him more than ever and had been the biggest hurdle of all. So when Vylielle hit's him with the reality he swallows thickly as his head dropped in shame. "I..." He couldn't even bring himself to speak after that. He had been adamantly refusing to acknowledge it, to accept it as the truth. They definitely weren't pranking him, honestly it bordered harassment at this point. "You're... you're right..."[break][break]
"Some days it's harder than others but I can't show weakness other it'll fuel them to do more!" His voice wavers, a slight tremble in his hands arose. "A...ah? You'd really... do that for me? Isn't that... a bother for you?" He mumbles gently.
