Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
"Wake, I need your help with something." The air around the musician was filled with absolute dread, yet controlled in the sense that it affected no insentient thing. His eye burned a crimson red, straining him as well as filling him with an enormous amount of power. Salem's voice was demanding and kind, in a weird fusion of the two moods, as the soil twitched beneath his feet. He didn't know where exactly he was inside the Earthen District, however he did know, from one of the many diaries of Summer Pain, that there existed the corpses of people that used to be. 'Summer's poems seem to hold some truth to it,' he thought to himself as the first rotting body emerged from the soil, standing to attention in front of the cold Esmeree.
Salem waited as the last of fifteen undead corpses appeared, seemingly human in kind. "Just fifteen? I suppose that's my limit for now..." Salem said out loud, irritated just a bit. While disappointed that his limit was so low, he was fine with the amount. It was still ridiculously easy to control a group this large for his purposes as long as he did not strain himself, or his eye. Without saying a word, his left eye still glowing bright red, he puppeteer'd the corpses to begin collecting materials around the unoccupied farmland. He heard rumors that somewhere around the area, a home belonging to an old giant was deteriorating, and starting to fall apart, yet no one in the District would assist them because of their supposed evil attitude. Salem decided to check this out for himself since he was in the area, and the only evil he feared came from a "benevolent" race, not a mortal one.
Relaxing against a tree, Salem used ten corpses to scout for materials, three to ensure no earthbound entity interrupted or came too close, and the remaining two to remain beside him. The two closest to him he gave an instrument, a flute, to each, making them play a weird, grim, yet surprisingly elegant tune, as they were some of the only corpses he could find that had somewhat intact wind pipes. It wasn't long before the three he was using to act as alarms notified him of someone approaching. Who, he was unsure of, but he would ensure he was ready to greet them. Hopefully they thought little of his presence here.
Making the human corpses return to him, standing behind him in a neat little formation with Salem himself at the head, he waited for his guest. Maybe they could help him with rebuilding the giant's house. Salem put his hands in his in his pockets as he hummed the tune that was previously playing, the corpses swaying from side to side in rhythmic response.
[attr="class","wassup1dangertxt"] “Cute,” Xia called from her private shade patch beneath a nearby tree, stretching like a cat as she walked over to the individual in question, “I had no idea corpses could be so melodic!”[break][break]
The petite woman stopped just shy of the undead army, the sound of her heels clicking stopped with the cessation of her gait. Xia’s gaze suggested she was studying the undead like one would a particularly fine painting. Placing a finger on her lip she moved closer to one but in truth had only moved closer to determine what sort of creature had crawled into the earth district. [break][break]
They certainly weren’t supposed to be here without reason. As her eyes lingered on one particularly gruesome corpse she nonchalantly pointed to its neighbor.[break][break]
“You’d need to replace that one, he has too many organs hanging out,” there was a pause as the elegant woman wrinkled her nose at the nearest one, “also my gods that one is freshly dead. The fresh ones always smell the worst in my opinion.”[break][break]
Xia crossed her arms over the silken blue of her gown but before she could muster a response an unfamiliar twinge of something caressed her heart. Was this… fear? Just as quickly as it appeared it was gone leaving her with only one conclusion.[break][break]
“What is your business here reaper?” her voice had lost its light, musical tone now leaving nothing but the scathing violence that slept beneath Xia’s tailored exterior. On most days she would ignore such an intrusion but the events of the morning had left her patience thin and being interrupted during her water dance… well that was just unacceptable. [break][break] By rotting corpses too! The nerve.
A young lady, petite in form, soon announced herself. A friendly? At the very least, it was not a human, human looking yes, but looks can be deceiving. Salem smiled to himself, his cold hands still holstered in his pockets as he simply watched the lady draw closer, knowing soon, his identity would be revealed with each step. "The best music comes from the deceased... as long as you know what you're doing," Salem replied, nodding his head. "It really is a pleasant sight. Gruesome, but pleasant."
Salem tracked the woman's gaze to a more disemboweled corpse, frowning in response to her statement. He hadn't noticed before, but she was right: this one does have a good amount of its insides spilling out. Not wanting to get blood anywhere near his work, or clothes, he allowed the corpse to fall, dropping into a pile of nothing more than bones and blood, before returning underneath the earth he raised it from. He could still make do with fourteen, and he still wasn't running out of energy quite yet.
Standing upright, no longer resting on the trunk, Salem was about to address her fresh concern for the newly deceased before he noticed a subtle shift in her. It seems like this lady's finally been caught in his dreadful aura. He was found out. His smile disappeared, replaced again by a callous expression, as she inquired about his business here. 'Maybe I was wrong in thinking she's not hostile...' Salem grimly thought to himself. Hissing to life, his crimson red eye began glowing once again, this time his vision shifting to greyscale, as he gazed into this woman's soul.
The corpses around him all had their sights on the now seemingly irritated lady, Salem joining in as well. The wildlife around the duo and newly resurrected seemed to still as Salem allowed a few moments to go by in complete silence.
...
Instantly, the undead he controlled all unceremoniously dropped to the ground, lifeless and without motion, Salem's eye returning to its normal purple color. A smile creeped onto his face, perking up into small laughter shortly afterwards. "I apologize, I'm only here to fix an old giant's home," Salem declared, explaining himself. "I have no ill intent right now." While indeed Salem didn't need or have to explain himself, he also didn't feel the need to act irrationally. He wasn't the kind of person to do so, especially not to someone like this.
Extending his hand to her, he introduced himself. "My name is Salem..." He paused for a moment, hesitating to say his full name, "I wander around the Districts every now and then, though you're one of the few to spot me."
[attr="class","wassup1dangertxt"] Pleasant wasn’t the word Xia would use. When war wasn’t involved it was her firm belief that corpses belonged in the soil. Song and dance were the property of the living, though one could argue in this case they were merely the extension of this reaper. But Xia hadn’t stalked over here to debate philosophy thus these points were irrelevant. [break][break]
Much to her surprise the corpse in question became nothing more than soil and earth before her in a show of good faith. The following nightmarish workup of her soul however was still just as disturbing as it had always been. Working with the Assembly had taught Xia to be used to such unpleasantness but that didn’t mean she liked it.[break][break]
As the garnet hue of the man’s eye faded to violet, his assembled army became no more. Xia still stood with her arms crossed but her strategy for this encounter was apparently in need of revision.[break][break] “So, then you are… a carpenter?” she uncrossed her arms, “what a waste of good talent. Though I suppose having the dead to do your work for you doesn’t really require too much manual labor on your part so well done in that regard.”[break][break]
The water elemental eyed his hand, knowing full well how stupid it would be to shake it. Some magics were only transferred by contact and she didn’t feel like dealing with that sort of thing right now.[break][break]
“Xia,” was her reply and, so as not to offend she bowed lightly. It was a custom of her long-lived past that would be just as acceptable as any sort of handshake. [break][break]
Xia’s eyes drifted towards the broken landscape before them.[break][break] “Not to be the bearer of bad news but that particular giant doesn’t like interlopers on his property, not even the paid ones. If I remember correctly, the last worker they hired ended up in the hospital for nearly a year,” pale orbs glanced briefly to Salem before she continued, “though I suppose its irrelevant if you are already dead. Tell me are Reapers particularly squishy? I’ve never had the pleasure of fighting one before.”[break][break]
A little lie to brighten the conversation of course.
Salem chuckled lightly at the thought of him being solely a carpenter before answering his guest. "No... I create many things, from music, to stone headstones, to the blade on my hip. The undead I control usually do not assist me, but considering it's a giant's house... I thought it a great way to pass the time." Salem simply lowered his hand, seeing the discomfort in the woman's eyes. Looking down at her with disappointment, Salem reassured her in a monotone voice, "I'm not going to hurt you. If I was going to, you'd already be dead."
Quickly realizing that he may have come off far more hostile than he wanted to, Salem awkwardly scratched his head. "I apologize. I'm not much of a... people person." Moving a portion of the cloak he wore, he revealed the hilt of the long sword he kept on his person, skillfully drawing it in a second, resting his hand on the edge of the sharpened blade, intending to switch the topic of the conversation. "As I was saying... I am more than just a carpenter. I will admit that I had a bit of help making this one, though. Sharp enough to end Seers as if they were fodder..." Briefly his expression dulled, the memories of his past angering him before calming back down.
Repeating her name back to himself quietly, Salem nodded. "Xia is a nice name..." Smirking as she bowed, he made a snarky remark. "Your bow needs work, however. If that's how you would bow after a performance, please don't preform." His smirk then turned to a genuine smile... it's been a very long time since he's smiled for real, and he somewhat enjoyed it. Returning to his usual unreadable expression, Salem then began addressing Xia's 'bad news', again leaning against a nearby tree, this time closer to her.
"I'm not too concerned with the giant's attitude problem." Gesturing behind him, Salem drew attention to the edge of the treeline. "Near that area is a fairly large, fresh corpse. If in the unlikely scenario I'm unable to subdue him, I'll just use that to bring him near unconsciousness, finish his home, and depart." A sound plan, Salem thought, with no fatalities, little blood, and a restored building. At the comment of reapers being squishy, Salem paused. He truly didn't know, nor did he want to... "I'm... not sure..." Again thinking about the topic, he then decided it to be a good idea to see whether or not he would be able to handle something as strong as a giant crushing on him. "Well, care to find out?"
[attr="class","wassup1dangertxt"] At the mention of a blade Xia’s eyes traveled to the hip in question. Yet another wasted talent. She had to bite back a rude retort at her already being dead. Had her momentary discomfort been so readable? Clearly, she’d fallen out of step. Much to her delight the blade was drawn and Xia’s eyes hungrily examined what she could from afar. The craftsmanship was indeed extraordinary, so much so that she had to resist the urge to get closer to see more of it. [break][break]
“Xia is a terrible name. It means rosy clouds or summer depending on how it’s written but mostly people use it as a surname to celebrate our divine ancestors,” she rolled her eyes for a second, stopping entirely as he insulted her bow, “I wasn’t bowing for your pleasure so no need to work on it.”[break][break]
Really, did all men believe that these things were solely for them? Xia bristled but quickly curbed her unrealistic anger as Salem had already delved into addressing the matter at hand. For all his unpleasantness he certainly made up with his last line. A fight to test his abilities and see that sharpened sword in action? Xia smiled mischievously at him.[break][break]
“A demonstration of skill? How could I say no to that!” Xia’s mannerism had changed entirely now, the excitement of such a spectacle playing across her face before she added, “though I thought you were here to repair the house, not murder its inhabitant. Not that I care of course, it would just be counterproductive is all.”[break][break]
The petite water elemental shifted, once again crossing her arms as she waited for Salem to respond. In the back of her mind she was considering his true nature. To do things simply to be. It was far too simplistic. There was also the possibility of him being sent to murder her of course. Thankfully, this scenario fit far less than others, despite the proximity to her habitual dancing spot.
"Well, despite your attitude towards the name, I still think Xia is a nice name. I could make a great requiem out of it, if you'll allow it," Salem, from experience, knew that some words were indeed magical, and names especial held magical weight, able to do things he couldn't dream of doing. This was why, even if joking, Salem asked for permission before using a name in any song he played.
Seeing Xia's mood lighten just a bit, Salem smiled, realizing his attempts at being social were working. Placing a hand on his hip delicately, he reassured the lady. "As I said before, I will only do so if the giant becomes hostile towards me..." Salem thought about continuing to address her "not caring", but decided against it. In his mind, if one didn't care, they would not comment on it. Again smiling, this time coldly, Salem drew his sword skillfully, twirling it around in his right hand before letting the tip point to the ground.
"Onto the matter at hand, are you ready?" Salem's stance seemed extremely lazy, with him still standing in a relaxed position, sword at his side, his left hand in his pocket. He was very confident he could take on Xia with just that, having zero intent on actually trying. His most fatal flaw: not trying, nor going all out. "I promise I won't attack to kill, you can trust me." Just then deciding he wouldn't be using his eye for this sparring session either, Salem switched hands, gliding the blade to his dominant, left hand. 'Maybe it isn't a good idea to use my non-dominant when facing this person...' He thought to himself. If things did go south, he did have one more weapon hidden.
"By the way, Xia, a bow says a lot about a person," Salem replied, intending not to be rude. Bowing to him was an important thing, it was the final thing an audience sees after a musical or artistic performance. "Yours says you're too callous, too cocky. Perfect a curtsy at the very, not for my pleasure, but your own." Tilting his head, cracking it in preparation, his glare went back to being monotone, now staring at the dark violet girl blankly, "Observe."
Tossing the blade into the air, Salem caught it by it's handle, and launched it towards Xia, aiming for her right shoulder. After throwing it, Salem kicked back with his right foot, catching it with the heel of his left, and bowed with a flur of his cape, his eyes never leaving Xia.
[attr="class","wassup1dangertxt"] I promise.[break][break]
How many times had she heard those words? Thrown out callously like cheap dime novels simply written to fill time. Xia had always known that words carried no worth. Being able to wield them was a talent that could not be matched but listening to them, trusting them, that was a fool’s game. Trusting a stranger, albeit a powerful one, was just being naïve. How many people had she led on with those very same words? Led directly to their deaths.[break][break]
What did take her by surprise was Salem’s critique of her bow. How deftly he had insulted her, how eloquently. For a moment she marveled at those words, uncaring of their context against her. The idea of a curtsy did almost send her into a laugh though.[break][break]
As if she would ever be that woman again. [break][break]
Xia’s fingers tingled with an unseen energy as Salem launched the blade, gripping onto the droplets of the nearby spring she used for dancing. She remained unflinching throughout the display, however. Impressive was not nearly the word for it. Xia’s gaze deepened, the possibilities of this unchecked talent wandering freely both delightful and disturbing.[break][break] “How lovely!” she beamed, clapping delicately, “I wonder how long have you been practicing that? And, more importantly, can your corpses do that too?”[break][break]
The energy that had surrounded her fingers dissipated. This man didn’t intend to attack her but rather converse with her. Even though this was often a period of quiet and peace in her life, Xia no longer minded the intrusion.[break][break] “Actually, what would you say to a challenge of sorts? Presuming you don’t mind getting a little wet of course,” she tapped a lacquered fingernail against her lip, “I doubt the giant will come to play without excessive provocation and I want to test those skills of yours.”
Seeing that she was, as he hoped, impressed by his display, he held his bow for a little while longer before standing. Convinced that he's made his point, Salem began walking over to Xia, intending to retrieve his blade. "Since childhood. I was taught to be a database of knowledge, so to speak, by my parents. That includes, topics like hunting, swordsmanship, gunmanship, and academics." Salem grimly remembered his past, of how his mother groomed him only into a tool for her to use later, shaking his head in grief. Continuing on, he found himself trailing off, deep into thought. "I had a pretty easy life before I died. I never bled once or felt the horror that was sickness."
Finally reaching his blade, he picked it up, sheathing it as quickly as he did the first time he showed it off... completely oblivious to the energy that was being conjured so close to him. Salem was now merely a steps away from Xia, noting how short she was compared to his towering height. Not too tall, but she was short enough to further solidify Salem's refusal to use any kind of magic against her. Realizing he's been borderline staring, Salem quickly snapped out of his thoughts, apologizing quietly. "Yes, the corpses, as long as they are humanoid, can do what I can. If the body is in tact enough, of course."
"A challenge? As long as it isn't near a crowd of people or something like that, sure!" Salem loved a good challenge, especially word games. Thinking a word game of sorts was what Xia was referring to, Salem's mood instantly brightened. "Water won't be a problem, I don't think." Laughing, Salem reminded Xia of her words previously, "Provocating the giant seems counter intuitive, but if you insist..." Still thinking this was preparation for a riddle, Salem nodded his head and gestured for Xia to continue, already completely derailing from his original task. "What's first?"
[attr="class","wassup1dangertxt"] “Its probably better that way. Bleeding is such a pain,” Xia nodded, listening to his continued narrative. She wondered what this individual’s motives were. He seemed an odd thing, talented yet reserved with no real purpose save what he desired it to be. A life lived so freely was certainly amicable. [break][break]
Much to her delight, Salem jumped on the challenge. Xia felt herself smiling with a slightly mischievous energy. To test that power! Those reflexes! What a gem she had found and now she had the pleasure of evaluating if this person could be used. In those she respected Xia’s actions were far different than those she used as puppets. [break][break]
“You’re a gem!” she clapped her hands together, “alright then. How does this sound? I’m going to throw water spheres at you and your job will be to cut them down before they hit you. It should be easy for one with quick reflexes.” [break][break]
A glint of mischief shone in her eye.[break][break] “The catch is if our little game wakes the giant up you’ll have to fight them,” she let that point sink in before continuing, “are these terms acceptable to you Salem?”[break][break]
It was unlike Xia to show her hand before the battle but this was a special instance that she simply couldn’t resist. Of course, she’d try her best to wake the sleeping giant but it wasn’t guaranteed. Sapphire irises waited patiently for Salem’s respond while simply willing him to say yes. Anything else would ruin her day. [break][break]Such talent! And it had walked directly to her doorstep too.
Salem's smile faded after realizing the nature of this challenge. It absolutely wasn't a word game nor riddle. It seemed more like a means to gauge his talent combat wise. Why else would she add in having to confront the giant in the case it wakes? Nodding solemnly, Salem agreed to her terms, since it did not include him intentionally harming a neutral party, only a potential hostile one.
Getting into his usual carefree stance, he placed two fingers on the hilt of his blade, still sheathed. 'I'll have to make this quick,' he thought, knowing his reflexes were drastically reduced without using his eye, however Xia didn't know this, yet. "The terms are acceptable..." Knowing full well he would absolutely fail this challenge as soon as it starts if he used his blade in his current condition. Growing more and more uneasy, he started to wonder exactly how strong this human looking woman was. She could potentially kill him, he noted. The woman in front of him wasn't exactly a pure soul, something he made a mental note of when he gazed into it earlier.
Salem stared at Xia, considering his options yet again through his foggy eyes. Sighing, he retreated a few feet away from her, his left eye beginning to hiss to life in a crimson aura. Feeling his energy, magic, and power being restored to him, Salem breathed in, and when breathing out, his blade was ready in his hands. A quick draw. The musician had about five minutes before he had to stop using his prowess and rest, that meant five minutes of him being as close to his peak as he was willing to go. More than enough for popping bubbles.
"Are you ready, Xia?" Salem was determined to quickly end the challenge, planning to ensure nothing drastic happened to awaken the giant. If he ran out of time and the giant woke... things would be fairly grim for him.
[attr="class","wassup1dangertxt"] Cordiality was the essence of this man, something Xia could respect. But without true talent he would fall flat of her expectations. Practicing a trick to perform over and over again wasn’t skill, it was memorization. Xia of all people would know that. She’d wowed many individuals with cheap parlor tricks back in her day. Still she fond herself fond enough to believe that Salem was indeed the real deal.[break][break]
“Always,” was her cat-like response to the reaper’s question as she padded a healthy distance away from him. [break][break]
Once again, the familiar tingling of magic radiated across her fingertips as she reached out to the nearest body of water. The first two she’d go easy on him but after that it would be time to push him slightly. Though if she did intend to wake the giant it would be kinder to go easier in general. Xia twisted her hand, shaping the water spheres remotely in her mind’s eye.[break][break]
“Don’t blame me if you get a little wet, though I would hate to soak such a lovely coat,” Xia flashed a haughty smile, catching another glimpse of those purple irises before she flung the first orb.[break][break]
It was meant to be a slower, larger orb so missing it would be near impossible. Xia stepped to the side just to be sure none of the water splashed back in her direction. She had five more orbs waiting and the effort to hold them wasn’t difficult. Not when compared to her healing abilities which almost always left her drained. [break][break]
A fiery excitement danced within her chest. How boring the weeks leading up to this had been! As much as she hated to admit she was having any enjoyment out of this, Xia certainly wasn’t bored. Now it was time to see how far she could push him.
She made a good point... was his coat waterproof? Rolling his shoulders, he disregarded the comment from Xia, returning her prideful smile full force with a smirk, watching her mold a sphere of water with her fingertips in awe. It was the first time he'd seen someone manipulate water itself in such a manner, and with such control. His train of thought, was interrupted as Xia sent a large water sphere towards his direction... at a rather slow pace. Salem was annoyed, but remained expressionless besides the smirk a few moments earlier.
"Easy for one with quick reflexes," Salem said in an almost mocking manner, "Why not throw them all at me? It's just water." As the ball of liquid grew nearer, he flicked his wrist upwards, allowing his blade to glide through the palm of his hand towards the sky before regaining a firm grasp on the handle, allowing gravity to do it's work; the bubble flew past both his left and right sides before losing shape and bursting, having being cut right down the middle.
Salem was a master swordsman, and having those skills being tested in such a minuscule way always managed to bother him... despite not wanting to be pushed further at all in order to keep his "never go above 50%" rule. A weird mindset he had towards displays of skill that was not music, one he was still sorting out himself. Despite this, he quietly thanked his father for taking the time to teach him the subjects he mastered.
Using his bare right hand to check for stray droplets of water, and finding none, he returned the sword to his side, tip pointed towards the ground. "As I said, I promised not to fatally harm you, and I assure you that I'm capable of defending myself from your aqua-attacks," pausing, Salem gave Xia his second genuine smile of the day before continuing, "So try to let loose a bit and have some fun. Water in motion always had a strange, mystic, melody to it... even more so when it is disturbed or popped."
[attr="class","wassup1dangertxt"] Of course, the first sphere was boring but Xia hadn’t expected him to be so forward about it. She watched with delight as the swordsman swung his blade, cleaving the water sphere in two nonchalantly. [break][break] “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t insult you by holding back,” Xia laughed, giddy at the prospect of fun, “water is everything. It travels through the tiniest of spaces, forever changing its form to fit the fleeting world around it. Few things destroy it and its quite resilient to the elements.”[break][break]
The petite woman spread her fingers wide, revealing one orb for each fingertip. These were much smaller and they would go much, much faster than the first. There was no doubt in her mind that regardless of her tricks Salem would dispatch these with ease. She had expected nothing less of the swordsman.[break][break] “Well, I did warn you that you might get wet...” dark locks shifted as she smirked then, with a gentle flick of her wrist the water spheres shot towards Salem much faster than before. [break][break]
Two from the left, two from the right, and one from above. Could he handle all of these at once? Xia held her hand behind her back as she primed the next set of orbs. She’d shown her hand for the first but she wouldn’t be so gracious for the second. So much intrigue regarding the man before her. Swordsman. Reaper. Performer. [break][break]
Where were the limits of his talents? Xia scoured her mind, thinking of the best way to test them. No. There was only one way to do so. [break][break]
As the water spheres approached Salem Xia began to weave her web. Just a little provocation and the giant would wake with ease. Like the practiced actress she was, the petite woman watched with sharp eyes as the second set of spheres danced in her palm.
While pondering what Xia said about water being everything, wondering if what she said was metaphorical or literal, Salem watched with a sharp red glare as five more spheres of liquid came zooming at him, at a much higher velocity than before, to his delight. He was instantly reminded of his times hunting with his father in life, when they would pursue small, but fast, game.
Taking a step back, Salem again eased his grip off of his sword, allowing gravity to do most of the work for him as it shifted further downward. He let the water spheres get within a foot of his person before preforming an angled horizontal swipe with his blade, severing two out of the four water balls at his side. The musician then twisted his foot, rotating on his heel to allow his sword tip to pierce the last remaining two at the sides before turning his attention to the last sphere, now mere inches away from him.
Closer than he expected, he silently cursed himself for momentairly forgetting about this pesky sphere before dashing backwards with a swift push with both of his heels firmly on the ground. The sphere was now in front of him, nearly about to hit the ground as Salem stabbed his sword into the ground, and into the water ball as well, it being pinned there before bursting suddenly. Sword still buried in the earth, Salem bowed lightly.
"I haven't got wet yet, miss Xia." Salem said with pride. Yes, this was bringing back memories, and he was pleased to see that his swordsmanship has not deteriorated over the few months he was inactive.
