appearance Ayla is beautiful in build, having natural curves and a bust that gives them dysphoria here and there, though they are slowly learning to accept it. They tend to wear things on the more fashionable end, tending to collect lots of cute accessories. They have a generally slim and lithe build, and a soft, slightly pale complexion. abilities Red Tailed Hawk Shift: Mastered. Due to her fire manipulation coming from her internally, her shift tends to appear quite fiery and has sometimes be mistaken as a western legend known as a firebird, sometimes called a phoenix. Storms and strong winds can easily make things difficult for this form, as can rain, dampening their fiery nature and waterlogging the feathers. Fire Manipulation: Mastered. Ayla has a naturally hot running body temperature, due to the fact their fire manipulation comes internally. Due to this, they can overheat in hot climates, and being exposed to water manipulation or heavy rain can cause weakness and sickness. Fire Absorption: Mastered. When another fire manipulation user tries to use their abilities against Ayla, it is ineffective. Instead the flames are merely absorbed as if nothing had happened. A drawback to this is further susceptibility to water weakness. backstory Ayla was born to a family at war with itself. Their mother’s side and their father’s side were constantly making digs at each other, and eventually when they separated, Ayla became merely an object of contention as well. They rotated between dropping them off at each other’s houses when their presence was unwanted, to disallowing them from seeing each other when one specific side wanted to see them. Their school life was just as chaotic and hectic, often they were excluded from clubs or group activities, and they were occasionally stolen from or bullied due to the fact of their split family and their personal identity. Their grades were mediocre at best, and they often struggled due to high stress levels. When their parents were angry, they would often insult qualities about Ayla that reminded them of the other parent. “You’re a stupid blonde like your mother”, or “you’ll always be a loose cannon and a failure like your father.” Nothing Ayla ever could do was enough so they eventually gave up trying to be anything at all. Nothing was good enough, and all their parents saw of them was regret and the faults in each other. They was barely viewed as her own individual person, no matter how much they strived for it. After they graduated, Ayla cut off the family and ran away with a group of friends who ended up joining the AP. Shortly after joining the Assembly, they decided to run a cute accessory blog. While this may not be the best decision they could have made, they were too stubborn and prideful to back out.
