[attr="class","smoll"]Standing at an intimidating height of 6'1", that is the only thing about Dylan that could potentially be threatening. Having a slim and muscle-lacking build shows that Dylan is a lot more weak than he may initially appear on first glance. Having fair skin that bruises far too easily is another one of the give aways. He has long and slender arms and legs, his fingers being long while his hand itself is large. His nails show obvious sighs of being bitten as well as some of his fingertips being covered in bandages. His arms themselves are covered in numerous scars that often are purposely hidden away by the power of long-sleeved clothing.[BREAK][break]
The first thing one might notice when looking at Dylan is the striking haircut he has. Dark blue dyed hair with a bang that covers one of his eyes. From that one eyes might go to either the freckles that are scattered around the bridge of his nose or to the noticeable eyebag under his almost always unsettled looking blue eyes. His left eye if ever seen notably lacks any color which gives away the fact that he's fully blind in the eye. He has a large scar that goes over his lid to underneath as well.[BREAK][break]
Dylan's choice of clothing is one he isn't usually one to be picky about minus the fact he tends to lean towards longer and oversized clothing that perfectly covers up most of his skin. He's extremely finicky regarding shirts since he has a lot of permanent scars scattered all over his torso that he is quite self-conscious about. He finishes it off with some fitting jeans and a pair of black sneakers.

[attr="class","letitle"]history
[attr="class","smoll"]TW: Domestic abuse, emotional abuse, alcoholism[break][break]
- A sense of normal was never something that felt present in the Meyer household. Dylan being the first to be born between the constant-feuding parents of his. He had no sweet recollections of his parents being happy together to think back on. All he has are the endless hours of bickering and the vivid memory of things being thrown around or shattering. All he remembers is laying in bed and hiding under his blankets as if they could provide a level of protection but they couldn't. [break]
- Hiding away wasn't going to fix his mothers horrible alcoholic addiction and his fathers lack of ability to stop her from doing so. Hiding away didn't stop the abuse his mother would inflict on him when his father was at work or when he was looking the other way. It was a painful childhood of having to watch his ever move and yet still somehow being on the receiving end of physical abuse that would go on to remain scarred on his body. Each new gained was like a living reminder of the incident that caused it to appear. Dylan was never going to forget and only be reminded whenever he'd look in the mirror.[break]
- The news reached him that he was going to be a brother were both the most satisfying but arguably terrifying news he could've heard. His parents claimed it was what would save them but being at the worse of it all... Dylan knew that there was no possible way it was going to be good but of course. He couldn't say that and shoved down all his doubts away with a smile and brief words of congratulations.[break]
- The moment his brother was brought home something instinctive in him had taken over and it was the promise of protecting him from whatever happened from this point onwards. Dylan was already damaged goods in his own mind but if he could do something to prevent the inevitable cycle of abuse he would. [break]
- The first few years of his brothers life showed promise within his parents but they'd hit the wall and hit it hard. The fighting and constant bickering returned, the abuse of not being cared for as well as being on the receiving end of abuse intensified. His mother fell back into her drinking habits. Harder than she had before while his father full on succumbed to the depression that had been eating away at him over the years.[break]
- It happened in the worse of ways. His brother accidentally tripping over and knocking a wine glass into small pieces. Dylan barely managed to step in front of his brother and took the blunt of a wine bottle to the side of his face. All he can recall from that night was the stinging pain of his eye and him having to put his brother in his room as he let the injury go untreated to convince Zylan he was alright. Once his brother fell asleep was when his memory from that point on was unclear. All he recalls was being rushed to the hospital by his father since his mother refused to take him. Next thing he knew he was awoken and told his eye was unusable. [break]
- It was a terrifying event but it was what motivated him to further protect his brother for however long they would remain in the house. He'd always take the blunt of whatever his mother would dish out. Being a punching bag that took blows again and again. Though the safety of Zylan was what made the pain he received worth it. Dylan over time didn't notice the changes it made to himself. Gradually he started fighting back less, his voice practically becoming silent but he'd always step in at the perfect of times.[break]
- Dylan began to notice the small signs and efforts Zylan was putting into his life as they were both growing. His brother going off to get a job, Dylan assumed what was saving up for his inevitable freedom. It made Dylan feel accomplished and inspired to some level of degree himself. [break]
- It was through this curiosity that it lead him to stumble upon a niche music shop in the shopping district near where they lived. Through that was he able to start getting closer with it's owner and learning about various instruments. Even going as far to inevitably be taught the bass, and even given a job to buy himself a bass of his own. Music had become an escape from the abuse he suffered at home and finally did Dylan after years of dealing with torment find his outlet to vent everything.[break]
- Over the span of the following years, Dylan had become a talented player. Practically dedicating any free time he had to playing while somehow ending up joining a band. His brother had seemed to be doing good for himself as well and when news of him finally being able to move out reached his ears... he couldn't help but feel ecstatic that he could be free from the abuse of his mother.[break]
- Dylan hadn't intended to leave, feeling that he had no where to go or no one who would want him. Being the product of a mother who beat and injured him to a point of what he claims disgusting, lacking any real courage to stop her beyond jumping right in front of her. He long accepted living the remainder of his life out in the home that made him who he was but, his brother showed him the a glimpse of the worth he had. Offering him to move in with him right as he plotted to make his escape.[break]
- Dylan hesitated but Zylan had been the one to make the decision for him. His bags were packed and they both had left the home they grew up in together. It was the first time he had been free from the abuse and it took a long time for him to grow out of certain habits he developed. [break]
- With Zylan's support... Dylan looks to the future slightly more hopeful than he has ever been but he often has roadblocks which put him down. The only thing that's for certain is Dylan wants to spend his time doing things he feels good about. And all he feels good about in this moment is playing his bass.
