Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Renton had found himself distracted talking to a couple of the other models in the studio. Well talk was an understatement, it was more like an argument because he didn't agree with what they had to say. Not one bit. These guys are fools. He thought to himself as he found himself stuck in a stupid conversation over the whole, who would be modeling for whom. Frankly they were content with who they were assigned with but he wasn't, not that he was ever content, he just found himself rather picky over who would be taking his shots and for what reason he'd be appearing. When he had agreed to be a model, he had been under the belief he'd sooner or later get to pick which contracts but so far, the only thing he had received were the ones handed in his direction. "You know what... if you really think they are all that great to work for that is just fine... I don't fucking care." He answered in return, mumbling the last part with the hope of nobody else hearing it but those around them. "You need to chill, it isn't like it is the end of the world just because you were given this role...." Another guy would answer in return only to earn a glare from him. "You know what, bite me." He snapped, knowing it as a common phase. Usually, the conversation would conclude after he'd make the comment. Nobody dared do that, nor argue with him on the subject.
It really wasn’t that big of a deal, at least not to the vampire. Work was work, and you were likely to land better positions the more care you nurtured your connections. You had to be well-liked before you started playing hard to get, unless you wanted to be left behind. You have to work for what you want, not be handed it by throwing a temper tantrum. Holding his tongue for the most part, he figured that it would blow over eventually. They’d either have to get bored eventually, or it’d turn into a fight. No matter which one happened, the sooner they all got over it the better.
”You sound like you care a bit much to me.” Luneth knows it likely would have been better to just have kept his mouth shut, but he couldn’t really stop himself. It was in his nature to be contrary from time to time, though it was rarer than it used to be. After the next words however, Luneth paused. ”You really should think before you speak.” Luneth’s voice is low as he slinks forward, closing the distance. If he didn’t move, well then he’d get exactly as he asked for. To Luneth it was both a challenge and an invitation, and that was as good as playing with fire.
Renton had been arguing with some of the other models, all had gone quiet but Luneth who had been quiet for the most part. "Too much?" He asked in return before making the bite me comment. To his surprise Luneth had made his comment, "Or what?" He'd ask in return, staying in his spot because he didn't imagine Luneth to be up to anything. To his surprise, the distance was closed and Luneth was right in front of him before being bitten. He... he bit me... He thought to himself, somewhat surprised that somebody had the nerve to do that to him. The others around them backed away to excuse themselves from those two, making it where they were alone. I don't know why... but I feel a great need in making this a habit. He thought to himself, slowly a smug grin would form on his face. "Or what?" He taunted in return, determined to find out what Luneth would do upon hearing his question.
Luneth had never been the type to back down from a challenge. He was used to getting his way, whether he had to claw his way to the top or was given to it as easily as could be. However, he had somewhat expected the other to move, or push him away, or something. When that didn’t happen, Luneth stared up at the other intently with his dark blue eyes. Did ... did he like that? Luneth wasn’t sure how he felt about that beyond wondering how far he could get without pushing his luck.
The others in the room were slinking away, seeming to not want to have any part of the situation that was happening. Maybe they thought a fight was going to break out, or maybe they just wanted to slowly back away. Either way, Luneth found that he really didn’t care too much. Tilting his head slightly, an innocent but charismatic smile of innocence played over his lips. ”I might have to bite you more then, huh?” There was a glimmer of mischief in Luneth’s bright blue eyes as he edged just a little closer.
Renton had asked his question about what Luneth would do if he didn't watch what he said to him. His smug grin remained on his face when Luneth answered his question. Well seeing as you are the only one that bothered to bite me, the least I can do is ensure it becomes harder to accomplish for next time, because I'm sure it will happen. He thought to himself, being silent as he thought of what words he'd say to Luneth next on the matter. "You mean try." He countered in return, not moving from his spot because he wasn't bothered by the fact Luneth had bitten him or likely would attempt to bite him again in the near future for his chosen words. I'm not about to watch what I say unless I'm made to do so. He thought to himself as he awaited what Luneth would say to him next.
Luneth didn’t usually let himself close to others, but he didn’t mind it as much this time. There was something about being challenged that made him unable to stand down, as he was never the type to let a challenge go. Luneth knew the challenge had likely been more of a statement than a literal challenge but - well he couldn’t have left it alone even if he tried. Maybe he was just too stubborn to back down - or maybe it was something else he wasn’t aware of yet.
”You imply I wouldn’t be able to.” Luneth smirked at that, wondering if he was really being challenged once again. He was still close enough where he could just as easily lean over and bite - but he didn’t know that he would just yet. For now he stepped backwards a little, and stared at the other with a deceptively innocent face.
Renton watched as Luneth had stepped back with an innocent look on his face. So far, it seemed like he wasn't planning on doing anything. Oh well. The idea of having to dodge a bite sounded rather amusing too him. He wasn't sure why but Luneth's action of biting and innocent look, made him desiring too be around. Before he had a chance to comment further, somebody called for him, slowly making their way too him. "Looks like you'll have too prove it later." He answered in a teasing manner, turning his attention towards the other person too have a conversation over his next job as a model. So far, he'd be stuck with this lame job, but hopefully next time he'd get one more worthy of his time and attention. I wonder how long it will take before I see him do something else. He thought too himself, amused by the idea of Luneth's presence being only the start.
The innocent facade, it has never failed to really work for him. One look at what many called an “angelic face”, and usually he would be believed to have not have done anything wrong. The bright blue eyes combined with light flaxen hair, well he was the perfect image of a good boy. Whether or not that was the case though, well it usually wasn’t. Luneth could be patient if it served a purpose, and here it did. To strike when it was least accepted, that would have to be his next move. However, a voice broke through his thoughts. ”I will.”
His dark blue eyes sharpen as the attention turns away from him, and he slips an arm around his challenger casually. There’s a wavering friendly and innocent smile wavering on his face, but it didn’t reach the razor blade sharpness of those blue depths. He didn’t want the attention taken away from himself, but didn’t speak a word. One way or another, he would remain noticed.
Renton couldn't help but feel pleased when Luneth had slipped his arm around him. He wasn't sure why he found himself happy over Luneth's attention but he wasn't complaining over this. As a new conversation was about too start, it soon had come too an end as soon as the person noticed Renton's new found company. Maybe it was the fact that Luneth had bitten him before, or because frankly he wasn't pleasant too be around, which ever the reason, it had come as somewhat of a surprise when they had left as quickly as they had come. Meanwhile he leaned against Luneth, clearly comfortable with the fact that his arm had been wrapped around him. "Happy too hear it." He teased, curious on what Luneth would do now.
Now that he had managed to gain himself even the smallest scrap of attention, he wasn’t about to let it go without fighting tooth and nail. He knew exactly what he was doing, and didn’t feel in the least bit ashamed over it. Maybe it made him a brat, or some kind of attention hoarder, but, he couldn’t bring himself to care.
Regardless, he felt himself feeling self satisfied when the intrusion on his attention retreated. If he were some kind of cat, he might have even purred. ”You got plans? Or you just plan on staying here all night?” I mean, it didn’t exactly look like people were exactly lining up to go and do stuff with him. That should mean it’d be easy to arrange something, right?
Renton couldn't help but feel comfortable that Luneth had his arm wrapped around his waist, this, felt right too him. He wasn't able too explain the reason behind it, nor the pleasure he felt upon teasing Luneth. He listened as Luneth spoke, "I seem too have plans as of now." He answered, smirking towards Luneth with plans of seeing his reaction. "Where'd you want too take me?" He added, wanting too make it quite clear that he planned on being Luneth's for the night, even though only moments prior he had made his comment too playfully encourage possible jealously too come from it. What could he say, watching Luneth was interesting too say the least and he was curious on what all he could get away with too. "Maybe if you're good, I'll let you bite me again." He teased, attempting too make it sound like he had granted permission, of course in this case he wanted too see if Luneth would take up this dare on biting him without permission.
