Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Matthew had been lingering at home the past couple of days, not that his friend minded one bit because it meant he could spent plenty of time with Wren. He just found himself slightly upset over the idea of the other people around them having happy endings and yet he couldn't have his because he knew of the pain it would bring upon Wren should he find out this secret. A whole year had gone by of them running into Wren's mother, a woman whom he viewed as his own mother. He couldn't bring himself to tell her what had happened to Wren, only desiring for her to be content with the situation. He knew that wasn't settling with her, but Wren had been on the verge of attacking her, had he not stopped him, Wren would have killed his own mother, something he knew he couldn't have lived with if he had failed to keep her safe. It gave him reason to believe that he had one up'd her in this situation, because he was the only one that kept Wren from harming her.
Not that he'd do anything to purposely upset her, but things at this time couldn't be helped and he'd chosen to take her fury over risking Wren being in pain ever again. His friend had told him that he'd return Wren as soon as he was done with him, what ever the hell that meant. He wasn't aware of the abuse his darling was going through at the hands of a murderer, whom pretended to be his friend for the sake of using Wren. He stared at the ceiling for a few more minutes before slowly moving towards the edge of the bed, slipping his legs over the edge before standing up. He'd then proceed to stretching before grabbing his sword and heading outside the house to wander the woods.

onight has been yet another successful kill. One of the ways Garret is able to celebrate such a successful assassination is to wander the woods alone.
The woods is quiet around him, the chirping of crickets present as he traverses the forest path. He finds forests pleasant for some reason, although it does give him a few... unpleasant memories, that he would rather not think about. No, it may have been pleasant, since he's able to forget those memories. It may have been pleasant, since the quiet woods allows him to clear his mind off the thoughts he does not want.
At least, he thinks it was quiet.
Garret hears the sound of crunching grass and turns around, but nothing greets him. Nothing that could have been the source of the sound. Still, he'd rather be alert than stand there like a victim unable to do anything about their fate. He twirls his knife around his finger before holding it to a still, his blue eyes keen as they scan the forest around him. Carefully, he retreats to the shadows, hides himself in the bushes. Anything might appear now.
Matthew wandered around the woods, curious on where Wren was currently located. Right at the moment it was quiet, making it a nice stroll. It wasn't long in his walk that he started feeling uneasy, something about the woods seems different today and he just couldn't place his finger on it. Though as he glanced around himself, he didn't see anybody in sight. It has been a while since I've felt such wariness. He thought to himself as he continued walking, unaware that Garret was nearby, hiding in the bushes and out of his eye sight. Well I'm not about to die tonight. I have to keep up Wren's repairs after all. He thought to himself, listening all around himself as he continued walking forward.

he leaves from the bush start to irritate his skin and his hair; sweat runs down his back and the sides of his head, creating a large, damp mark on the back of his cloak. Even as the cold air blows through the forest and cools his body for a moment, the heat from the leaves still make him hot and itchy. Yet, he does not move, blue eyes still scanning the area for any signs of an intruder who'd decided to be in the place as he was.
Until finally, he sees it- A blue-haired fellow looking just as alarmed as he is. But even in this new discovery, he still does not move from where he is, and instead keeps an eye on the young man. Though he'd have to greet him soon. Carefully, he sneaks into another bush and steps into the light of the moon in silence. Garret stands there, crossing his arms. From the corner of his eye, he sees a small twig just beside his left foot.
He steps on it, causing it to snap.
If he were to get the man's attention, he would still be in the same cross-armed pose, though in addition to the smug smirk that he now wears on his face. "Hello," He greets, and though he may have sounded cheerful, it is laced with a certain menace and indifference. "I'm surprised to see that I'm not the only one in this forest," He adds, tilting his head with a raised eyebrow.
Matthew could have sworn he heard the leaves rustle from nearby him but he chose to appear ignoring it as he walked forward. He knew Garret was nearby but chose the best course of action would be to ignore him unless it be required to take action. Plus he was trying to avoid trouble with anybody else. It was difficult to ignore when he had heard a twig snap, forcing him to look in the direction that Garret was standing. There was a smug grin plastered all over his face. I know him.... Blood Fairy. He thought to himself, forcing a smile on his lips as he looked back at him. "Hello." He answered, listening as Garret made his comment about the forest. I live here, what is your excuse? He thought to himself before answering, "Yeah, what are the chances of that..." He asked, appearing somewhat nervous, it was for show, having practiced for the sake of Wren believing him to be a simple repairman. "What brings you out here?" He asks, refusing to point out that he knows Garret, somewhat prepared in case he should be attacked by him.
