Gradually, winter's chilly grasp would capture Lorsette, the autumn trees making the effects obvious as Seth prepared himself for another job. The freelance job was related to painting the interior of a house for a friendly couple who lived in a smaller home. They were strapped for funds, therefore, they leaped at the opportunity to hire freelancers willing to accept what they could afford. Days prior, the couple explained the haste of which they required the job finished and thus stated there would be two people working on the simple paint job.

This would include Seth and a mystery worker who the dragon was unable to get into contact with before the painting date. Throughout autumn, people would request landscaping work before the ground was covered by snow and frozen over. The task was easily accomplished by a ground manipulating dragon like Seth, thus he was distracted by the other duties people requested of him. Fortunately, the freelancer was hopeful that the other individual was easy to work alongside, but nothing could be confirmed until he arrived at the house.

During the early hours of the morning, Seth had woken, dressed, eaten breakfast before gathering his equipment from his apartment's closet. Without a storage shed, there were few places to put the supplies required for painting or any of his other jobs. Everything was replaced in respective bins while the people requiring the work were asked to purchase the paint. The painting supply bucket was grabbed, something which included brushes, a roller and a plastic, disposable bin. The dragon exited his apartment, closing and locking the door before heading downstairs.
[break][break]
He walked out to the apartment's small parking lot, heading out to his truck. The front door was opened, Seth hauling himself into the driver's seat and placing the bucket into the passenger's seat. Once the door was closed, the dragon buckled himself into the old truck. The key was placed into the ignition, the vehicle roaring to life in a single turn. Another hasty check was accomplished before Seth would begin driving himself to the home he was expected to paint. Respectfully, the man drove with complete awareness of Lorsette's layout.

For centuries, the dragon had lived in the dangerous city, it became a home for him. Some people knew him and happily conversed with him. In those moments, loneliness could be staved off, allowing Seth to feel comfortable for a few moments. Rarely would the dragon remain at his apartment because of the lack of interaction he found. People around the complex knew him, however, they were busy with other duties at times. Thus his apartment was a quiet location of solitude which he despised under any circumstances; despite his moodier behaviours, Seth was hardly a loner.
[break][break]
Being alone bothered him, especially when it occurred over longer periods. He craved friendship, interaction and people to distract him from the haunting reminder of being destined to be alone. After following the directions, Seth arrived at the household he was requested to paint. Promptly, the dragon exited his vehicle, supply bucket in hand. He had shown up a few minutes to review the couples' plan and be introduced to his fellow worker. He approached the front door, a wooden thing with chipped paint, and knocked on the door.
[break][break]
There he quietly waited for the couple to answer, the sounds of rustling inside indicating they were home. When the door opened, a man and a woman appeared, smiles on their faces as they looked at one of the freelancers they hired.
