For a young man whose age was supposed to be 21 years old, he was gifted with the face of a 15-year old instead of that intended for his age. Hector has silver hair, not the lightest shade but not the darkest one out there either. His eyes are that of a golden brown, something comparable to a hazel nut. His face, no matter how much you look at it, does not show any signs of aging. He is also a rather skinny man, but not too thin that his bones might break. A large scar runs down his nape all the way to his back. This was the result of his own father scarring him with claws when he was a child. One thing that could quite identify him as a shifter were some sharp teeth. His premolar teeth seem sharper than usual, if you ever notice him open his mouth whenever he chats. He also has quite sharp fingernails, which would grow faster if he cuts them occasionally. His aggressive attitude also gives it away; he was known to be nice and gentle to people, but to his enemies and people he doesn't like, he will start being aggressive and would attack without thinking. This happens only ever rarely, though.

Throughout the entire course of his life, Hector has had his own fair share of fears and things he likes and dislikes. Above all, Hector loved to write. The vivid descriptions of different worlds and dimensions always fascinated him ever since he was a child, but he had always loved writing true events and telling them with great detail. And to know about the world, he should travel and journey around the world. Hector, as he grew up, had also taken a fascination for travelling around the world. He rarely stays in one place for long, as he needs to go somewhere else. One of his greatest fears is his family, especially his father. He has gone through a lot of challenges in hus household, and he swore to himself to never go back to his family ever again. He had always feared fire, and drowning is just as equally terrifying. His goals in life are also important -- very important -- to him. If he fails these goals, he wouldn't be sure what to do anymore. Personality wise, Hector is friendly. He loves to meet other people along the way. Hector is also quiet, very calm and collected. In hard situations, he would think of brilliant plans to escape these. Every hard choice is decided to without a second doubt. While very independent and refusing help from others, he is very protective of his friends and would not allow any harm to come to them. But he also has a fair share of negative traits. Hector is mischievous and secretive, and would get out of trouble's way without telling you how he did it. He is also a very persistent young man, and a stubborn one too, at that fact. Hector can be irritable if you disturb him in the wrong time. Disturb him too much while still irritable, and he'll start being aggressive toward you; a thing he considers natural, since he was a tiger shifter, after all.
ABILITIES | |||||||||
➤ overall | |||||||||
TRANSFORMATION - natural Like all shifters, Hector can shift into one animal whenever he wants to. Hector is born to a family of tiger shifters; this enabled him to shift into the form of a white tiger. Being a shifter also means being able to have some traits of the white tiger, even without transforming. ENHANCED HEARING - advanced Even in human form, he could hear other sounds a few miles away, and can also hear other sounds that a normal person could not hear. He could also hear much quieter sounds, like a snake crawling silently on the grass to attack any minute. ENHANCED SMELL - advanced As a tiger shifter, he could smell fragrances from a few distances away. Whether it be the most pleasant or the most unpleasant ones, he could smell them all. He could also tell the fragrance of one person to another. TIGER CLAWS - natural His claws are a very powerful weapon, especially for a tiger shifter like him. Any enemy can be fought off with his claws. LEAPING IN HIGH DISTANCES - natural He can only leap on distances such as nearby trees or cliffs. This is only applicable in his tiger form. MINOR HEALING FACTOR - natural Like most shifters, Hector is able to heal himself within hours. This is most applicable when he is in tiger form. NIGHT VISION - intermediate He can see things even in the night, when everything gets too dark for a normal person to see. But then, sometimes he would mistake something for something else. With this ability, he can stalk other people in trees and hide himself. This is only applicable in his tiger form. In his shifted form, he has enhanced speed and strength. He can run much faster as his tiger form, which is quite useful if he is chasing someone or wanting to get to a place he should go. He is also much stronger in his tiger form. All this is only attainable in his tiger form, though. If he transforms into a full tiger, sometimes he cannot take control of this ability. This happens if he transforms while being angry or frustrated or sad at something or someone. While on most occasions he could control himself, in this uncontrollable mood he would lash out on anyone or anything that comes across his path. It's better not to interact with him or get near him if he is like this.

Disgrace. Pathetic. Stupid. That’s what he was to his parents. Hector Meredith had never had a life full of love. His parents didn’t like him, and he was considered a profanity ever since he was born. Mother wished he wasn’t born at all, and his father never considered him a son in the first place. He lived in a world devoid in any care and enjoyment. He would do anything, everything, just to make his parents love him. But it didn’t happen. What he would get for trying to please mother and father was a good beating from Father, and a good scolding from mother. That’s when he realized it; Hector was just nothing to them. He wasn’t anyone at all, not even their son. He was just a hindrance and profanity to their life. Yet, despite this, he had always hoped that there was love in there somewhere. He just had to dig deep into their hearts. "Love is everywhere and I know that. If it becomes quite hard to find love, I just have to dig deeper in the heart, or anywhere else, just to find said love..." He had told himself that once. And he still stood by it. He was 12-years old when he met his grandparents. They were nice to him, and cared for him very much. If his parents hurt him, they would rush to his defence. This had filled the hole in his heart; the hole he had been feeling the whole time while he was under the care of his parents. At least now, he had felt love and care, something he had never felt before. He thought everything would go to normal with his grandparents still around. He was wrong. The boy was 14-years old when it happened. Blood was splattered everywhere, and the screams of a female and a male simultaneously filled his ears. He thought he had heard them say ‘I’m sorry’ a couple of times while they were being slaughtered, but he couldn’t be sure. It might just be his mind tricking him. Then a growl was heard after the screams had silenced down. Hector had been wondering what happened. When he entered the room, there was blood... everywhere. The window was open, the glass cracked, the curtains and bed sheets and pillows ripped off, stuffing filled the floor like snow, his mother’s and father’s bodies sprawled on the floor dead— --and two tigers stood there, glowering at the bodies of his parents, blood covering their paws and mouth. Hector didn’t know what happened next after he saw them. Two tigers, who were glaring down at his parents’ bodies, then turned to him, their eyes softening once they saw him. They didn’t say anything, just that he was pushed towards the stairs, out of the door, by those giant paws. He ran away after that. No, not because out of fear that those tigers might catch up to him, but because of the sudden realization that hit him: he was born to shifters, something that he already knew. His parents didn’t love him. His grandparents felt the opposite for him. And his grandparents killed them for their awful deeds. That realization struck him like lightning. Hector now then wondered what would happen to his grandparents. Would they be struck down? Would they make their way out of it? Would they run away too to find him someday? Such questions made him tired, and he wanted to rest just for a bit. And he did, just beside a tree in the forest. He slept and tried to forget about all his problems. But he would not forget what he had gone through. ~*=*~ Every day was just him spending his days, running away from orphanages and living his own life in the streets trying to survive. He had always been running away his whole life. He didn't want to live elsewhere. His frequent lives in different orphanages had been quite the bliss; he met new children, played with them, and even had crushes on certain someones. Then he would run away again, and he would be adopted again, and so on and so forth. It was just like travelling, wasn't it? Then he decided it was best to stay in the orphanage his whole life. He was getting quite tired of running away; from whom he would never dare answer. At 15-years old, he came to live at the nearest orphanage he could find. But he was in the orphanage now, living his whole life; doing everything he could to live and enjoy his days. There was one time when he was 15, that he had visited the orphanage's public library with one of his friends to read some stories. There were such great wonders in that place; especially the lives of real people. Some books described worlds that could exist outside of their world, while some books explained the wonders of life. Reading them had been a wonder to Hector. He decided to become a writer and a traveller once he grows up. He was 18-years old when he was finally kicked out, not him leaving by will. The twentieth house he had lived in had finally pushed him out, but they had still helped him. They said goodbye to him with kisses and farewells, and "I miss you's" from his friends. It was finally time to travel. ~*=*~ Hector loved to travel around the world, even though his finances sometimes would not allow it; he met different people, became friends with them. He then decided that it was best for him to keep his identity hidden, so he used an alias every now and then to keep it that way. He didn't know why, he just thought that using his real name would allow people to enter his private space. So then he used "meredith". The hidden writer started to write novels during his free time, one of them being an autobiography of his real life, and how he had survived such a life. Hector had written it in one of the notebooks he loved to carry around his travels. Not wanting to get his real name out of the public, he certainly didn't want to go to a publisher to get his name out there. Instead, he threw his notebook onto the street behind him, and left it there to rot. It didn't rot for long. A young man had come across it and picked the notebook up. He searched for this so called 'meredith', thinking a girl had lost her journal, but then he decided to open the notebook and read it. Not much was known about what happened next after this man had read the novel, but one thing is for certain; he spread the book to the next person, to the next. Everyone loved the novel. They didn't know who this 'meredith' is, but they said he was a good writer. Some people despised him, for they believed that it was just a piece of junk written by a stupid man who dropped his notebook by mistake. But most admired him. He became quite known by most people. That notebook had taken a toll in their life. Soon, another notebook was sighted, a novel written by the same person. 'meredith'. There wasn't anything known about what happened next to it, just that it met the same fate as meredith's first masterpiece. It explained love and how it can be found just right there in the world. Then another notebook came in, and another. Now they wanted to know who this 'meredith' really is. Not knowing that he might be the person talking to them right now. ~*=*~ Hector had stopped by Newfoundland, Canada, and found a place named Lorsette. He decided to finally rest there and live in his home. It was lonely, but he hoped it wouldn't be soon. He just has to find the love of his life, and all his world wouldn't be so empty anymore. But for now, he is still 'meredith', the man that no one knew. The man that anonymously writes to the world. The man who travels around the world without people knowing. But would that last for long, he wondered? ...He'll just have to wait and see.
