Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2022
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
With April, an activity check has arrived for members to do! Please post on the AC and tag all your accounts, including WIPs and OOC accounts. Failure to post on this AC will result in your accounts being marked inactive or deleted. Please note, due to a late start, the due date for this check has been adjusted for one time and one time only.
Nakia couldn't help but feel pleased to see Elliott roll his eyes at her, believing that she must have annoyed him. She chuckled when she heard his comment in return. "Is that sooo? I suppose I should be thanking you but I'm not going to do it." She answered in return, quite pleased with her answer to him. "I believe you." She answered him return, "You should go replace those people that had the nerve to start up recordings.... having the same dull speech over and over again gets boring, but hearing it repeated from fresh is all the better." She answered, hoping to see what she'd deem as a funny expression. "It can be called...." She paused for a moment, "What ever your name is." She added, knowing they hadn't exchanged names yet, not that either of them had planned on doing so. "Well that is fine, I wasn't going to give you my reactions in return. Not sure if your aware, but I'll spell it out for you, I win." She answered in return, really amused by all of this.
It was surprising he was still here, normally the other person left her presence right now. "It is strange.... you beat the record." She added, comfy in the chair. "Your actions have everything to do with me, so far." She countered, chuckling more. "Because you know very damn well I would have laid over the table with them on top if I had felt like it." She chuckled some more, or maybe he hadn't figured that out by now, well what ever the case, having moved them from out of her way was a good idea regardless.
elliott continued with his typing as the girl continued on her incessant rambling. he couldn't even remember why she even started talking to him in the first place. after all she was the one that was rude."i don't care what you do."he told her as the typing continued. the sooner he finished this, the sooner he could leave and find some peace and quiet.
"good for you."he was certain he wasn't going to come back here to do any work. the library was suppose to be a quiet place and right now it was proving to be the opposite."i'm rather busy at the moment, i'm sure you couldn't tell. besides why would i do anything for you? also that was rhetorical question."he told her as he glanced up from his computer screen for a few seconds.
he sighed softly."you can't even think of anything good to say, maybe it's best you keep quiet."at this point he was half listening to what she was saying. he just wished she would stop talking."whatever you say."he wasn't going to play her games anymore. though in a way he was. whether he wanted to acknowledge it or not.
he chuckled softly."why am i not surprised. i deal with annoying people all day, you're nothing i can't deal with."he looks up once more."it's rather surprising you didn't."
Nakia remained in her spot as she listened to his counter. "Man, it would suck to be you if the power went out." She added, somewhat wishing that to be the case. Of course she would have to just deal with what she currently had and right now it meant putting up with him. Who knows how long this would go on since neither of them were budging from their spots. "Interesting choice, wouldn't you agree? Not everybody mister popular comes to the library to work. Somebody scare you out of the office, mister popular?" She mocked, smug grin as she looked back at him. "Because I've been giving you attention this whole time. Such a shame and here I thought you were being rather serious, oh well." She added, still comfy with her feet crossed on the chair right next to him. "That is what you'd like, isn't it? I mean one would think since we're in the library I'd do just that but here I am, still talking to you as if your words mean nothing to me." She teased, before fake gasping.
"Oh... did I hurt your feelings? Might be best to depart from me." She added, secretly hoping for him to put up with her bull shit for just a little bit longer. To his counter, she suddenly leaned forward, hands pressed against the table so that she was hovering just upon the laptop to be in his face. "You think you could deal with me? Don't make me laugh." She answered, still having that smug grin on her face as she remained right in front of him. "You've never had to deal with me before, I've love to see you do so." She dared, remaining in her spot as she stayed in his face.
he looks up once more."my battery is fully charged. thank you for your concern, but i'll be fine."he said as he returned his attention back to his computer. thankfully what he was working on didn't require the internet, though once he was complete he would need to email it. so if anything, he would more than likely have to leave and obtain internet access else where. perhaps he would just finish this typing and head back to his office. there it would be quieter and free of blue girls.
his typing ceased for a few seconds."mister popular? forget i asked."he sighed softly."i don't need to explain my decisions to you. i mean i just wanted to see if i could sit next to someone that would annoy me."he said with a smirk.
"you've been giving me attention and why is that? i didn't ask for it. quite on the contrary, i wish you could focus your attention on someone that actually wants it."honestly he was half paying attention to her."being serious about what?"he questioned.
"yes. how many more times do i have to tell you?"he answered rather quickly."i mean how more obvious can i get? again don't answer that, it was rhetorical."
"you're delusional."he said with another sigh."i'm not leaving till i'm finished with my work."to say the least, she had been bluffing the entire time. she seemed to be all talk. yet, her leaning closer to him had caught him off guard and he had moved back slightly. he wasn't about to back down. he stared at her and smirked."you'd love that wouldn't you?"
he closed his laptop, but didn't move."whatever you're thinking. it's not going to happen. not even in your dreams."with that he scooted his chair back and grabbed his bag, slipping the laptop inside. next he collected the files he had preciously moved away from her."you can deny it all you like, but its easy to figure out what you're thinking. if i haven't mentioned before."he returned his attention to her as he said his last comment."you're not my type."
Nakia listened to his counter, every so often giving one in return. This conversation was enjoyable, or at the very least it was for her. Not that she'd care if he was enjoying it or not. She had leaned closer, quite pleased with his reaction of backing away from her. "It did happen." She answered him in return, "Your leaving was just a plus." She added as she watched him slipping his laptop into his bag. "Now go run along now and do what ever innocent things you were up too." She added, smirking at the thought of bothering the shit out of him further. "Until next time." She added, pulling away from the table to walk passed him. It wasn't her goal to follow after him, just to beat him outside because she had things to do and she had wasted enough time in the library already. As she saw it, he fled from the table first, therefore she won.
he hadn't expected her to lean in so close. she talked big, but he didn't think she would actually do anything. it's why it had surprised him when he had looked up from his computer. of course, she saw that too. him backing away. he was positive that she was going to gloat about it. he tried his best to recover from it.
yet as he packed his things away, he knew that she would twist his words and there it was. just like he knew she couldn't resist in saying something."i'm not leaving because of you. so don't let it go to your head. i've completed my work. there is no need to remain here any longer."he told her with a blank expression on his face.
once his laptop was secured in it's proper place he finished putting away some of the documents he had been reading. though that was a quick job, considering he had already sorted them and simply had to place them in his bag. he had finished sliding the bag's strap over his shoulder when he noticed her standing up."don't you have more time to waste annoying the next person who sits here?"he asked though not really hoping for an answer.
pushing his chair back into it's place he started to make his way towards the exit."there won't be a next time."he told her before making his exit. the longer he talked with her, if you could call it that. the more he felt like he was speaking to a child. one that never thought they were wrong. he honestly hoped their paths did not cross again. as far as he knew, his trips to the library would have to stop.
