Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2022
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
With April, an activity check has arrived for members to do! Please post on the AC and tag all your accounts, including WIPs and OOC accounts. Failure to post on this AC will result in your accounts being marked inactive or deleted. Please note, due to a late start, the due date for this check has been adjusted for one time and one time only.
There was a steady rain cascading down from the darkened sky that night. The few individuals that were unlucky enough to be caught in it were jogging- papers and hats held over their head to hold off getting completely drenched- in order to find shelter. A figure held back in an alleyway as the last of them ran passed; he was using the over-hang of a building as an over-sized umbrella. His rustic-copper gaze peered around the corner of the building at an average, yellow coloured house that was perfectly symmetrical: two windows in front with a door in the middle. There were dim lights on that illuminated the shadow of a person inside who was moving in front of the curtains.
Within a span of ten minutes, the lights finally turned off. Moments later, the door opened as a woman with a child in hand left. She was quick to run to her car, buckle her kid in, and drive away to gods knows where. Considering it was almost midnight, Ferryl had a feeling he wouldn't have to worry about her for a while (or at least he hoped that was the case).
Looking down the street one way and then the other, the shifter shoved his hands into his pants pockets and walked across the road towards the now-dark house. It had been a while since the wolf-man had eaten and his stomach was beginning to whine in protest.
"Let's see here..." Ferryl mumbled to himself, digging around in his pocket and pulling out a slender pin- a lockpick. Grinning, the boy crouched in front of the door and began to fiddle with the locks, tongue sticking out in his concentration. It took perhaps twenty seconds for him to jimmy it open, releasing a breathy "a-ha" when he was successful.
Straightening up and checking behind him again for safety, Ferryl slipped inside the quaint home and quietly shut the door behind him. The thought of locking it crossed his mind- it would be safer that way- but the wolf didn't think he'd be long, nor did he suspect anyone would follow him at this time of night.
Whistling to himself, the wolf-man made his way into the kitchen and opened their fridge. "Oh wow... yes... here we go. I am gonna feast tonight." A chuckle left his lips as he began to collect the ingredients necessary to make a deluxe sandwich.
With a look of pure joy on his face, Ferryl began the task of creating his sandwich. His back was facing the entrance of the kitchen, but his ears were twitching, listening to any signs that he should turn tail and run.

[attr="class","jawntattxtdiv"] He could list ten reasons why he's unlucky today. Getting stuck outside in the rain is probably the worst of all of it.
[break][break]He'd gotten home quite late -- no, really late -- for no reason other than wanting to walk to clear his thoughts off some matters. Apparently, this is against the rule of luck, and so nature's decided to punish him for staying up so late at night just for an evening walk. The rain is falling down too fast and he could see that he is not the only unfortunate person here; others are running around to head for home, umbrellas over their heads and anything that could act like it to cover them up. But even umbrellas are not enough to cover him, so he chose to get soaked; it would be no use, anyway.
[break][break]The roofs of the houses are enough to keep him out of the rain, however, so he chooses to stop under one roof once he gets tired of walking. Unfortunately, that wouldn't do either; he needs to get home quick and yet here he was, resting under the roofs of residences that do not belong to him. He's not cold, really; he just needs to get back home and change from his wet clothes.
[break][break]A car passes by with ferocious speed that it almost sends drops of mud flying towards him; luckily he manages to get away, but the rain still keeps him wet (if not dirty). He'd suspected it to be a family, or at least a single mother raising a child on her own; he catches a glimpse of an adult figure and her child seated next to her through the corner of his eye, though they pass by quickly.
[break][break]He stops by the nearby house and shelters himself from the rain, sighing to himself, his hands in his pockets. Why he'd decided to walk around at night, knowing the rain would come, he's not quite sure... but he sure knows it's a dumb decision and should never be decided upon again.
[break][break]There is nothing quite worthwhile to do than just stand there and watch the people run around to head home. He feels a presence from inside the house, but he feels as though they do not own this residence at all and is just breaking in... but then again, he could be wrong. Why should he have to mind others' business when it won't be worthwhile to do so in the end?
