Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

With April, an activity check has arrived for members to do! Please post on the AC and tag all your accounts, including WIPs and OOC accounts. Failure to post on this AC will result in your accounts being marked inactive or deleted. Please note, due to a late start, the due date for this check has been adjusted for one time and one time only.
Urijah just smiled back at him, "As long as your sure." He answered him back, somewhat debating on order something to make him feel more comfortable anyway. It wasn't that food was a burden or anything like that, he just didn't have to eat so he had forgotten what he'd desire to eat anyway. He grinned at Alec's comment back to him, finding him rather amusing. "Adorable." He answered him back as he followed behind him. If he doesn't get sick, I'll stay put, if he does get sick, then I'll leave. I won't have anybody dying just because they are near me. Not again. He thought to himself, listening to Alec talk as he followed behind him. He halted when Alec told him to talk about himself, he really couldn't go into detail, could he? He started walking again, "Besides what I mentioned earlier, there isn't much to say. I'm a single father that is an undead who is a lawyer. There really isn't much to add onto that." He was giving vague answers on purpose, unsure of what Alec was really looking for. "Oh and you dying, I don't want that to happen just because you want to be close to me or undeads."
Alec chuckled. "Of course I'm sure. You're such a worrier." He teased with a grin, his eyes glancing about at the various shops in the area as they walked. He was probably being a bit too picky, but he wanted to find a place that would be relatively quiet, so that they could chat properly. Upon hearing the other comment that he was 'adorable,' the blonde flustered a bit, though he tried to play it off by laughing. He was usually the one making such comments, so he hadn't quite figured out how to respond without looking silly. "You say there's nothing more to add on, but those are all really interesting points! You could probably go on for hours if you really dug into it." The elf mused, looking to the other with a bemused grin. "What's your son like? What's it like being an Undead? Does it feel different from being alive? What's it like being a lawyer? What was the toughest case you had? Are you allowed to talk about it?" He rambled off to provide a few points to chat about. He didn't expect answers to every question, but it was a starting point. "Ahh, but you know~ If I die, then maybe I can become an Undead, and then I can be as close as I want." He mused, stifling another laugh. He knew it was kind of a serious topic, but that only urged him to make light of it, all the same. He quickly segued the conversation upon finally coming across a good shop. "Here, let's try this place!" He chimed, not wasting any time before he diverged from the path to head into the burger shop, only glancing back to ensure Urijah was following.
Urijah remained quiet when Alec called him a worrier, perhaps he was right but at least one of them was. He continued leading the way, unaware that Alec had blushed to his comment. Shortly after he had halted, Alec had countered saying he could talk about himself for hours about each of those points. "I think he is amazing but I haven't seen him since moving here and frankly I think one could argue a father's view point is a bit bias." He chuckled before he started walking again. "It is complicated, I mean there are so many cons and pros.... but yes it feels different then being alive or at least for me it does. Alright I see your point, I can go on for hours talking about myself." He answered with a smug grin on his face. It seemed to him, Alec was determined to get to know him, so at the very least he could give him that chance by rambling about himself.
When Alec commented about him dying, he found himself frowning slightly. "If you came back." He was really tempted to reach out and try and hug Alec but he knew that would just make him sick and so he hesitated in the action. "Don't even think about it though, you should take this chance to live as long as possible first. You shouldn't throw it away just because you want to get close to somebody else." Once the conversation had come to an end, Alec had diverged from the path. He was quick to follow behind him, waiting for Alec to go inside before following him inside. "Did you want a window's seat or be far away from it?" He would allow Alec to decide, though frankly having a window's seat meant that you could see the outside world as well as listening to your company talking.
Alec grinned as Urijah admitted just how long he could talk about himself. "Oh, please do." He mused, all smiles as he listened. "Having plenty to talk about just means you're living life properly. Or unlife." He added, his eyes glued to the other in a sort of fascination. "Ahh. I know, I know. Don't worry, I was just joking." He apologized, shaking his head. "I'll live my life to the fullest, don't worry about that." He promised with a nod. That much was a given. He'd live in a way that there would be no reason for him to become an Undead. Or, in more simple terms, with no regrets. "That's a silly question." Alec spoke with a smile when asked about where to sit. "Obviously you have to go for a window seat, so you can people-watch. Not that your pretty face isn't enough, or anything." He teased, unable to help himself now that his usual good mood had returned in full. Feeling as though he was on a date, the Elf absently reached for Urijah's hand to pull him to a table. It was something he normally wouldn't think twice about, especially when his 'date' was keeping such a distance from him. Realizing his mistake after a few steps, Alec released the golem's hand, holding his own to his chest with a sheepish look. "Sorry. Here's good, right?" He spoke, attempting to move right past the issue.
Urijah couldn't help but smile back at him. "If you insist." He answered, more than willing to do so, seeing as he enjoyed Alec's company. Though there was very few people he bothered to open up to, he couldn't help but feel somewhat attached to Alec. "Maybe your right." He added, though he honestly felt like they could agree to disagree. Surely he wasn't living his life properly even if it appeared like he was, this was after all for show after all. He found the correct to unlife amusing, understanding what Alec meant by the comment. He couldn't help but find Alec's staring back at him adorable. He was pleased when Alec admitted to joking, honestly wanting the best for him. It wasn't like being an undead was a bad thing, it was just, he believed he changed for the worse after he died and he didn't want to wish that on anybody else. He wasn't about to burden Alec with his thoughts though, choosing to let that be the last comment for that conversation, for now anyway. He had asked where they should sit and couldn't help but feel amused when he heard Alec's answer in return. It was flattering to be acknowledged as having a pretty face.
To his surprise, Alec had reached out for his hand and before he could protest, not that he didn't enjoy being close to Alec it was just the fact his health required distance from undead, he found himself following after Alec to the table. To his disappointment, Alec had released his hand. If his face appeared worried before, it disappeared as soon as he saw Alec's face expression. By god, he was adorable, when he took action on purpose and accident. He chuckled when Alec hadn't addressed the hand touching. "Well it would be...." He answered, slowly raising the palm of his hand to his chin as if in mid thought. "But I've seem to lost the comfort of a hand holding mine." He answered, appearing dead on serious instead of being funny. Though his face expression changed to that of amusement before moving to take a seat across from Alec. "Here is good." He corrected himself, failing to mention if he was joking or not, curious on what Alec would do about it.
